The Road The Stage is missing one of the PP boys this week as Patrick was down with the sickness. Ironic as our guest is also a nurse! Trevor Hurst has put the medical career aside to revive the legendary Econoline Crush who are back with a new song called No Quitter from a soon to be released new album which will be followed by a documentary called Flatlander chronicling Trevor's work as a Psychiatric Nurse with Canupawakpa Dakota Nation in Manitoba. Peter and Trevor weave through stories about the bands beginning at the height of the grunge movement, memories of Edgefest, and things get emotional as they discuss their fathers who have both passed on, but whose presence are still felt in mysterious ways. This is not an April Fools joke.... We decided to release episode 41 on 4/1/23... We begin this episode with Back to Back All American Rejects shows at the Brady Theater in Tulsa & the Bricktown Events Center in Oklahoma City. The Tulsa show was filmed for a DVD release... After that we discuss another Tulsa Pimpadelic show.... Where are they now????? We'd love to hear from someone from the Pimpadelic camp to get them on this podcast! June 8th, 2003, KATTFEST featured Godsmack as the headliner... 20 years later, Godsmack headlines KATTFEST 2023! This podcast is as much about the Music & Entertainment Business as it is about the history & legendary concerts that have come through Oklahoma. We discuss what happens next for the next crop of Classic Rock artists... 1990's Grunge artists are now, technically Classic Rock artists. How do they continue to tour & remain relevant?!? We also discuss an Otherside show with Killswitch Engage that didn't happen, the band cancelled the day of the show due to travel issues. The fans were extremely upset about the show not happening & taking it out on Max. The attitudes being thrown at Max, made him think it was a good idea to put the Tour Managers cel phone number on the front door, encouraging the attendee's to call the TM & voice their displeasure. (...not recomended btw)...See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
My good pal Andrew Scott from "It's A Conspiracy!" Podcast joins me to chat with Christian Simpson, the drummer of Canadian alternative rock band Glueleg! We ask questions like "What is a Chapman Stick?" and talk about Edgefest, horns banned from radio, and how did we start talking about Edwin?
Indiana Jones Edgefest was really the best title for this episode. Tyler had some schedule conflicts and caused the show to need to be shuffled around, which messed with planning the Scott Pilgrim game, which messed with what we were doing for the week, which messed with planning out play time – so this is … Continue reading → The post Ep. 680 – Indiana Jones Edgefest appeared first on TADPOG: Tyler and Dave Play Old Games.

Adam opens today's podcast talking to Bryan and Gina about his early morning radio media tour. It reminds Adam of his gig hosting ‘Edgefest' back in 1996, and the guys go on to revisit the Wi Spa story that was reported on a few months ago. Later, the guys listen to a Loveline clip from 1997 where Adam's crystal brain is once again on full display, and the guys take a couple of listener calls. Before the break, Adam rants about people who don't know how to merge onto a freeway properly, and Gina presents a new recipe for ‘Eat Your Feelings'. From the shadow of Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI I did a live radio show ahead of the annual Razor Edgefest concert. My home radio station Razor 94.7 (WZOR) every year puts on a smaller outdoor show in the parking lot of the Green Bay Distillery. Just so happens that it's directly across the street from the Green Bay Packers practice facility and kitty corner from Lambeau Field. The line-up this year was Black Stone Cherry, 10 Years, Gemini Syndrome and Through Fire. I talked to all the bands live on the air from the patio of the venue. It was a great day and so much fun catching up with new and old friends. This episode of the Rockcast is my conversations with all 4 bands, as they happened. Enjoy!

We were joined by James Black, guitarist of the Canadian rock band Finger Eleven to talk about the band's evolution and success, James' solo album Moon Boot Cocoon and more. James filled us in on the story behind some of F11's biggest hits, performing on pop chart shows such as TRL, and a town called Chibougamau... Highlights: - We learn that James is all about music, movies & nerd culture - Chibougamau = best town name ever - Finger Eleven’s hit "One Thing" came about almost by accident - …and so did "Paralyzer" - We hear all about performing on pop shows like TRL and meeting Donald Trump - Marcio tells us about the (pretty violent) experience he and his wife have had at Finger Eleven shows - James talks about launching a solo project and his new album Moon Boot Cocoon - Marcio and James talk about performing together at Edgefest 2014 - We all agree that the artwork for Moon Boot Cocoon is very cool Advice: - You have to be doing it in order for people to see you - You'll only get...
