I think I'm done for the week. After spending 7 hours digging a massive hole in my backyard for this permanent firepit & filling it in with rock & sand(all by hand, mind you)…then weeding/mowing/edging the lawn yesterday for 5 hours…I'm wiped out. There's a nap in my future this afternoon for sure. In the news this morning, a couple in Pennsylvania allegedly killed their own newborn child one day after it was born, the Tennessee school board member who called a student "hot" has now been charged with assault, Dunkin Donuts is releasing it's 48oz bucket drink nationwide tomorrow, and according to a former CIA scientist, the US Government knows about FOUR separate alien species that have all landed on Earth. In sports, the Brewers completed the sweep of the Cubs yesterday with more stellar pitching, the OKC Thunder evened-up their series with the Spurs at 1-1 after a win last night, the Vegas Golden Knights beat the Colorado Avalanche in game one of that series, Aaron Rodgers confirms that this coming season will be his final NFL season, and Pete Crow-Armstong gets fined an undisclosed amount after an interaction with a fan. We talked about what's on TV today/tonight and Brian recapped the series finale of "The Boys". Plus, a big mental mistake by Jeff Probst on last night's "Survivor Season 50" finale. And the latest person to reveal the amount of money they make on residuals is Ray Romano. No Office Cora today as she's out sick…but we still hooked you up with some stuff to do in the 715 this weekend. We had a new "Karen of the Day" who got upset and wanted a refund on their Dominos order….AFTER they ate it all. And it's "Hypothetical Thursday"!!! Brian's question for Jean was: " " Jean's question for Brian was: " " Check out this therapy dog that was just recognized for helping first responders with their mental wellness. And a 99 year-old woman just became the oldest person to crowd surf when the crowd hoisted her up at a Brantley Gilbert show in Texas! Elsewhere in sports, the betting odds on Conor McGregor aren't very good…so you could have a nice payday if you want to put some money on him, we looked at the recent "Tarps Off" trend at MLB games, and speaking of MLB games….check out this dude who OBVIOUSLY lost his fantasy football league and had to pay up in a very unique way. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about some high schoolers who were served baked dirt at lunch, a woman in Delaware who was stashing Dollar Tree items in her child's stroller and then pepper-sprayed employees after they caught her, a woman who was busted stealing oatmeal cream pies from the same location TWICE, a #FloridaWoman who threw feces at her own father during an argument, and another #FloridaWoman who got REALLY drunk off Fireball & drove across a golf course.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Dopey Film Festival: https://buytickets.at/thedopeyfoundation/2216905 Listen without ads www.patreon.com/dopeypodcast This week on the Wednesday Dose of Dopey, Dave opens the show with Brer Brian's Dopey Wednesday anthem and immediately starts hustling tickets for the upcoming Dopey Short Film Festival in New York City. Dave explains that only nine tickets have sold so far and promises cheap tickets, food, fellowship, desserts, filmmakers, and recovery community vibes. He begs the Dopey Nation to come out and support the event while Winnie the dog barks in the background. Before getting to the main interview, Dave plays an absolutely insane voicemail from longtime Dopey contributor JD DeHart about surviving a cocaine overdose during a three-day binge in a trailer in Mississippi when he was 20 years old. JD describes an old-school coke and crack marathon involving an entire ounce of cocaine, nonstop shooting coke, smoking crack, drinking beer, no sleep, no food, and no water. He vividly recounts doing a gigantic shot of cocaine and suddenly entering a terrifying paralysis where he could hear and see everything but couldn't move a single part of his body. JD compares the experience to the Metallica “One” video and explains how his paranoid dealer friend may have saved his life by slapping him awake, giving him water and food, and slowly bringing him out of the overdose. Naturally, once he recovered, the first thing he did was smoke an enormous crack hit. Dave praises the voicemail and thanks JD for consistently contributing incredible stories to the show. Dave then dives into Patreon and Spotify comments responding to last week's controversial Blake Mycoskie episode. Listeners debate rich-guy recovery, psychedelic therapy, AI therapy, polo, founder culture, and whether wealthy people talking about depression is relatable to the average Dopey listener. Some commenters defend the episode and appreciate hearing about mental health and self-worth, while others say they turned it off the moment Blake started discussing AI therapy or learning polo in Argentina. Dave jokes that people should blame John Bukaty for bringing in “woo-woo guests,” but still says he genuinely liked Blake and appreciated trying something different. The comment section also leads to discussions about recovery, privilege, treatment access, government responsibility for addiction, and Dave's ongoing balancing act between growing Dopey and maintaining authenticity. Dave also reads a moving Spotify comment from a listener celebrating 120 days clean after a devastating relapse that nearly destroyed his marriage and relationship with his child. Other listeners compliment Dave's podcasting skills, compare his intros to Marc Maron, and joke about Tesla AI therapy and rich recovery people. Dave also contemplates launching a higher Patreon tier with an exclusive Zoom while openly joking about his “cynical cash grab” tendencies and his need to support his family. The centerpiece of the episode is Dave's long conversation with Skinny Vinny inside Steve-O's Wild Ride podcast van in Sherman Oaks, California. The interview covers almost every phase of Vinny's chaotic life story. Vinny explains how the Wild Ride podcast went on hiatus after backlash surrounding a sarcastic Steve-O clip from an episode with Harlan Williams that got taken out of context online. Vinny talks openly about Steve-O's sensitivity, internet outrage culture, and the emotional toll of constant public criticism. The conversation then shifts into Vinny's upbringing in Connecticut and his lifelong obsession with Jackass. Vinny tells the story of being a kid with a camera glued to his hand, idolizing Bam Margera and Jeff Tremaine, and eventually convincing Bam to punch him in the face at a skate shop signing when he was a teenager. Dave and Vinny reminisce about old Jackass dreams eventually becoming reality years later through recovery and content creation. Vinny dives deep into his addiction history, including following Phish and Bob Weir tours while constantly inhaling nitrous balloons in parking lots, discovering Silk Road drug markets in Vermont, and eventually falling into severe heroin addiction. He recounts horrifying years living in Vermont, where heroin was outrageously expensive, and where he watched his girlfriend overdose in front of her parents after both of them desperately tried to detox using kratom. Vinny also describes his obsession with needles, famously saying, “If I could rig it, I could dig it,” while discussing shooting heroin and eventually shooting liquid LSD purchased from Silk Road. One of the darkest sections of the interview involves Vinny describing his infamous “porta potty bottom.” After burning every bridge and alienating everyone in his life, Vinny ended up secretly living inside a handicapped-sized porta potty in Connecticut while hustling to survive. He explains his daily routine of waking up at sunrise, hiding blankets in bushes, charging his Obama phone at Dunkin Donuts, stealing energy drinks from grocery stores, selling them to bodegas, buying heroin and crack, and repeating the cycle endlessly. Dave and Vinny talk about the terrifying comfort that comes with fully accepting life as a hopeless junkie. Vinny also recounts his arrest, jail sentence, and the legendary “prison pocket” story. Knowing he had to turn himself in, Vinny literally trained his body to smuggle heroin, Xanax, rolling tobacco, papers, and even needles into jail. He explains how he eventually ran out of drugs behind bars and suffered brutally through withdrawal on the top bunk in jail while promising himself he'd never use again — only to get released and immediately return to hustling and heroin. The interview takes a more hopeful turn as Vinny explains how recovery unexpectedly transformed his life. He talks about meeting Zackass in sober living, becoming indispensable behind the camera, eventually becoming a co-host, and later joining Steve-O's Wild Ride. Vinny describes feeling like recovery gave him the exact life he fantasized about as a kid obsessed with Jackass culture. Dave and Vinny repeatedly discuss the strange intersection of manifestation, luck, spirituality, showing up, and being willing to work hard without getting high. Later in the interview, Vinny opens up emotionally about his failed marriage to a Canadian woman, the devastating heartbreak that followed, and the depression that nearly broke him. He describes locking himself in his apartment for 45 days, barely eating, crying himself to sleep, and seriously considering drinking despite years of sobriety. Instead of relapsing, Vinny redirected all of his pain into fitness, weight loss, and self-improvement. He explains how discovering peptides, returning to the gym, diving back into recovery meetings and service work, and focusing entirely on himself ultimately helped him lose over 200 pounds and completely transform his life. The episode ends with Vinny discussing his plans to open a sober living house called The Comeback with a former client from his early recovery days. Dave and Vinny also joke about Canadians, Dopeywood structure problems, podcasting, body dysmorphia, fear dreams, and the strange reality of surviving addiction long enough to accidentally build a meaningful life. Dave closes the episode asking listeners yet again to buy film festival tickets, join Patreon, leave Spotify comments, send voicemails, and stay involved in the Dopey community before ending, as always, with “Stay strong Dopey Nation and fucking toodles for Chris.” Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. For over two decades, the Center for Snow and Avalanche Studies has been monitoring Colorado's snowpack from weather stations on Red Mountain Pass. Their team digs snow pits every few weeks documenting dust layers, measuring snow crystals, and tracking how the snowpack reflects sunlight. This year they're recording unusually low snow conditions across the state while studying how dust particles reduce snow's reflectivity and speed up melt timing. Since snowpack provides 70 percent of Colorado's water supply, understanding these patterns helps water managers plan for the seasons ahead. By Sadie Smith. Watch this story at durangolocal.news.This story is sponsored by Dunkin Donuts and Keesee Motor Company.Support the show

KDUR, Fort Lewis College's radio station now in its 52nd year, hosts an annual cover night that has become a cornerstone event for Durango's music community. The tradition began when musicians from different genres came together to celebrate local talent by covering Neil Diamond songs, adopting the motto "local musicians unite." The event has grown so popular that tickets sell out within minutes. The fundraising event known as “Cover Night” brings together community members who play music for the love of it, not for profit. KDUR operates as both a college and community radio station, funded through student fees, fundraising and formerly the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. With CPB funding recently cut by the current administration, local donations and community support through events like cover night have become more critical than ever to the station's survival.Local musicians say KDUR serves a critical role in promoting area concerts and providing airplay for local recordings, making it essential to keeping Durango's music scene active.By Paige Sparks. This story is sponsored by Dunkin Donuts and Tafoya Barrett and Associates PCWatch this story at durangolocal.newsSupport the show

Two taps. That's all it took to reorder your regular Dunkin order through CarPlay while driving. Sounds like the perfect frictionless feature, right? Except it was quietly training customers to spend less on every visit because they never discovered loaded hash browns existed. Sometimes making things too easy becomes the problem. This encore episode brings back one of our most quoted conversations with Adam Candela, who spent five years leading digital at Dunkin and fundamentally changed how we think about balancing frictionless with profitability.  Join hosts Chuck Moxley and Nick Paladino as they revisit why this episode matters.Nick literally quotes it in meetings once a week, particularly the CarPlay example that shows how extreme optimization in one direction can backfire. Adam breaks down why frictionless isn't just about speed and simplicity, but about creating experiences that are quick, thorough, profitable, and get customers to return and recruit others to your brand. We explore when personalization crosses from convenient to creepy, why "it's digital, just turn it on" stakeholders fundamentally misunderstand product complexity, and the power of creating psychological safety so your QA team feels comfortable sharing game-changing ideas. Key Actionable Takeaways:Balance ease with discovery opportunities - Making reordering too frictionless can train customers into routines that prevent them from discovering new products, hurting both upsell and brand loyalty buildingCreate psychological safety for frontline insights - QA teams and people closest to the product often have the best ideas; build team dynamics where they feel comfortable sharing without fear of being dismissedChallenge "it's digital, just turn it on" stakeholders - Digital initiatives require architecture planning, story pointing, QA test cases, understanding customer needs, and solving actual problems, not just quick implementation of requested featuresWant more tips and strategies about creating frictionless digital experiences? Subscribe to our newsletter! https://www.thefrictionlessexperience.com/frictionless/Download the Five Step Site Speed Target Playbook: http://bluetriangle.com/playbookAdam Candela's LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/adamcandela Nick Paladino's LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/npaladino Chuck Moxley's LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/chuckmoxley/Chapters:(00:00) Introduction(01:00) CarPlay upsell problem(02:15) Creepy vs convenient(02:45) Hippo dynamics(03:15) Stakeholder pushback(04:09) Adam's Dunkin role(05:21) Defining frictionless(06:15) Loyalty vs repeat purchase(08:30) CarPlay integration details(11:45) Losing upsell opportunities(14:30) Personalization boundaries(17:00) Location-based notifications(20:15) Android Auto moment(23:45) Tech adoption humility(27:30) Team idea generation(30:00) QA team insights(33:15) Psychological safety(37:00) Hippo self-awareness(38:19) Acronym correction(38:45) Biggest misconception(39:15) Digital should be quick(40:00) Asking why matters(41:15) Solution vs problem(42:24) ConclusionKeywords:Chuck Moxley, Nick Paladino, Adam Candela, The Frictionless Experience, Dunkin Donuts, Inspire Brands, CarPlay integration, mobile ordering, upsell optimization, customer loyalty, personalization limits, location-based marketing, psychological safety, product management, stakeholder management, digital complexity, QA teams, frictionless profitability, customer recruitment,, mobile app strategy, product discovery,

Most youth camp games fail for one simple reason… and almost nobody realizes it. Leaders spend hours planning activities, but kids lose interest in minutes — and it's not because they're distracted or bored. Today, I'm sitting down with the creator of Camp Clue — a game that's been used in camps around the world to keep kids fully engaged. He's breaking down exactly why it works — and how you can design games that actually hold attention all week long. And how you can get it for yourself! His mother had a breakdown. His father grabbed a bat and went to kill the man. Then came the arrest, the court case, and the decision that would make everything worse: going on television to talk about it. Overnight, he became the kid nobody wanted their children near. Teachers whispered. Parents pulled their kids away. The bullying intensified. He was labeled damaged goods, living proof that some wounds mark you forever. But one summer, his Uncle Marvin asked him a question nobody else had bothered with: "How are you feeling?" They sat together working through emotional vocabulary, and Marc realized he couldn't name a single time he'd felt elated, but he could talk all day about feeling alienated. That conversation became the foundation for everything that followed.Years later, Marc saw "Emotional Intelligence" on the cover of Time Magazine and recognized his uncle's work from twenty years earlier. He pulled Uncle Marvin out of retirement, and they met at a Dunkin Donuts in Fort Lauderdale to build a curriculum that would eventually change how schools teach kids about emotions. Marc earned his PhD studying with the scientists who pioneered emotional intelligence research, got a fifth degree black belt in Hapkido, practiced Zen meditation, and spent three decades researching what it actually takes to heal. Now a professor at Yale (the same school that once rejected him), he's honest about what it required: an uncle who cared enough to ask, thirty years of dedicated study, martial arts discipline, and relentless inner work. Lewis and Marc dig into why accomplishing every goal on your list means nothing if you still don't feel enough, and how emotional education is the missing piece most people never get access to.Sign up for the Greatness newsletter: http://www.greatness.com/newsletter Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Episode 206 of the What Are We Doing podcast is stacked, babes. This week I'm back with a fresh nose piercing, courtesy of a throwback prom fundraiser for breast cancer research. Fifty bucks, one piercing, and apparently I've advanced science by a decade. You're welcome. From there, we break open the wildest headline of 2025: Taylor Swift arrested on weapons and drug charges after a standoff on her tour bus. Yes, you heard that right. Submachine guns, meth, fentanyl, explosives—the whole DEA starter pack. Is it a setup by Scooter Braun? Was it Travis Kelce with the diamond playbook? I lay out the only logical defense strategy. Then we roll straight into late-night chaos. Jimmy Kimmel got yanked off ABC after Sinclair flexed their conservative media monopoly muscles. Fallon cracked a bad joke. Colbert pretended to care. And the whole thing proves once again that freedom of speech doesn't mean what you think it does when billionaires run TV.Meanwhile, Trump's busy bragging about his $250 million White House ballroom like it's a new Bass Pro Shop, and I'm praying aliens blow the roof off 20 minutes after the first dinner service. Jimmy Kimmel is out, Charlie Kirk's assassination fallout continues, and somehow librarians in Pennsylvania are now part of the culture war. What are we doing? And just when you thought you could breathe—Dunkin Donuts decided to double the points needed for a free iced coffee. Nine hundred points. Nine. Hundred. Points. In this economy. We need to rally the Cracker Barrel Army and launch a full-blown digital assault to get those rewards rolled back.Plus, I react to the new Now You See Me 3 trailer, Elon Musk's AI “Grok” Twitter takeover, and why Hollywood thinks dropping ChatGPT references makes movies relevant. Spoiler: it doesn't.It's chaos from start to finish. Grab your Dude Robe (promo code WAWD for 20% off at duderobe.com) and tune in, because this week's episode is a doozy.*************************************************************✅DUDEROBE - PROMO CODE: WAWD 20% OFFhttps://duderobe.com - promo code: WAWD*************************************************************Disclaimer: We at the What are We Doing podcast want to make it clear that the views and opinions expressed in this video belong solely to the speakers or authors and do not represent the views and opinions held by YouTube, its partners, or its owners. We must also emphasize that the information contained in this video has been produced with no warranty, expressed or implied, regarding the validity, accuracy, reliability, completeness, legality, or usefulness of what is said or expressed.
