On average, it is believed we spend an estimated 26-years of our life sleeping. And, while not everyone remembers their dreams, surely within that sleep-span, there are many unknown (and known) astral adventures permeating the deep, inner layers of our subconscious mind. Sarah Zucker and I have a rare, and precious connection in both waking and astral life. As you’ll come to find out in this conversation, she and I have had some rather curious, and synchronous “dream fasting” experiences together, which are riddled with riddles, and fascinating “bread crumbs.” So, a little about Sarah… Sarah Zucker is a writer and multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles. Her work merges the gorgeous and grotesque through humor, psychedelia, mysticism, and the interplay of cutting edge + obsolete technologies. She works across mediums, specializing in mixing digital and analog video techniques and the use of VHS. Her GIF art has been viewed over 4 billion times. She incorporates elements of performance, drawing, painting and collage into her interdimensional rainbow visions. She runs the curatorial project and Art Apparel line Fancy Nothing. She runs YoMeryl, an art + animation studio, with partner Bronwyn Lundberg. She writes short-form comedy, television/feature scripts and Arts + Culture articles. She was a finalist for the 2016 and 2017 Women in Film / The Black List Episodic Lab. She has written + directed several short-form comedy series for Super Deluxe.  She became a Jeopardy! Champion on September 27th, 2013. Clients and Publications include: Super Deluxe, NowThis, The City of West Hollywood, The Brooklyn Museum, AMC, MTV, Universal Music Group, Tumblr Creatrs, Into, HuffPost, Book + Film Globe, The Center for Disease Control, Electric Objects and more. She co-produced Prism Pipe, a monthly visual music event, at pehrspace in Los Angeles from 2014-2016.  She holds a BA in Theater/Creative Writing for the Media from Northwestern, and an MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU. In this episode of Radio Amenti, Sarah and I discuss dreams, synchronicity, Adam Curtis’ work (ie: Century of the Self), the power of our thoughts, interdimensionality and traversing through life’s non-linear time loops. During a visit to Portland, Sarah was my first in-person pod. This week on the show we have designer and all around internet guy, Ben Pieratt. I (this is Jonathan writing) was excited to have Ben on the show because he's the first non-crypto tech friend that I've seen in my feed getting excited about NFTs. Ben is the co-founder of Svpply and was creative director of Electric Objects and has made all kinds of insanely interesting internet projects. He's currently working on a startup in the Crypto Art space, but it's super hush hush, so shhhhh. We  talk about his journey into the heart of crypto, specifically, we talk all AROUND his stealth start up. And we talk about Ben's dream of using the form of a startup as an art project, and his early attempt at this with Dead Bookstore. And we talk a bit about the MLB collectibles debacle, and get into the weeds on the Axiom/Dapper Labs NIFTY trademark dispute. It's a good one folks!
