Everyone in a fight has their side of the story. That story is a crafted message that can keep someone in the fight, convince them to stop fighting, and convince bystanders you are the good guy worth helping or the bad guy worth piling onto. Police in America are struggling with an increasingly hostile public narrative that degrades morale, budgets, recruiting, and public cooperation when you need it most. In irregular warfare, the narrative may have more impact than the guided missiles. The conversation focuses on practical storytelling skills leaders need to operate effectively in contested environments. Check out this episode to learn how tactical actions reverberate at the operational and strategic levels, why "neutrality" is often a false posture, and how to communicate facts through compelling, ethical narratives that build credibility rather than erode it. This episode is essential listening for professionals who operate in public-facing roles where perception directly impacts mission success. In unserer 29.
Today on the Flyover Conservatives Show, we sat down with Dan Burmawi to uncover the hidden dynamics of political Islam and the demographic tipping point almost no Western leader is willing to acknowledge. He explains how Islamic ideology—not individual Muslims—shapes culture, law, and national stability once a population reaches critical mass, using global history and firsthand experience to bring clarity to a deeply misunderstood issue. Viewers will learn the truth behind the 10% threshold, why Europe is unraveling, and what Americans must understand now to protect freedom for the next generation.Today on the Flyover Conservatives Show, we sat down with Dan Burmawi to uncover the hidden dynamics of political Islam and the demographic tipping point almost no Western leader is willing to acknowledge. On this week's Tipping Point conversation Paul and Wally discuss the latest on "hoodie gate" including an ethics complaint from Mayor Keller. New Mexico's political leadership is refusing to assist the Trump Administration in rooting out SNAP fraud. But a recent report from the LFC specifically calls out the need to "New Mexico needs to change program administration to address SNAP error rates and monitor food program outcomes." Paul and Wally further discuss the problems of these government welfare programs and how the Legislature and Gov. care more about the $1 billion annually spent by the federal government on SNAP in New Mexico than really improving the lives of New Mexicans. New Mexico has fallen to dead last in economic freedom. Why? What needs to be done? Paul and Wally discuss the latest findings and also the new budget data from LFC which show somewhat slower revenue growth from oil and gas but which remain extremely strong.

Malcolm Gladwell is a journalist, podcast host and an author. Do contagious diseases, memetic epidemics, and drug epidemics spread through the same underlying pathways? The answer may explain why society keeps falling into the same contagious patterns, and how we might prevent future memetic epidemics before they happen. Expect to learn what the history of the death penalty is in the United States, what the “Tipping Point” means and what happened when we reached it, how epidemics of ideas differ from epidemics of drugs, what makes someone a “super-spreader” of social change, the “tipping point” dynamic of trans athletes in sports, if we are responsible for the epidemics we start and much more… Sponsors: See discounts for all the products I use and recommend: https://chriswillx.com/deals Get 10% discount on all Gymshark products at https://gym.sh/modernwisdom (use code MODERNWISDOM10) Get a 15% discount & free shipping on Manscaped's shavers at https://manscaped.com/modernwisdom (use code MODERNWISDOM15) Sign up for a one-dollar-per-month trial period from Shopify at https://shopify.com/modernwisdom Extra Stuff: Get my free reading list of 100 books to read before you die: https://chriswillx.com/books Try my productivity energy drink Neutonic: https://neutonic.com/modernwisdom Episodes You Might Enjoy: #577 - David Goggins - This Is How To Master Your Life: https://tinyurl.com/43hv6y59 #712 - Dr Jordan Peterson - How To Destroy Your Negative Beliefs: https://tinyurl.com/2rtz7avf #700 - Dr Andrew Huberman - The Secret Tools To Hack Your Brain: https://tinyurl.com/3ccn5vkp - Get In Touch: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/chriswillx Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/chriswillx YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/modernwisdompodcast Email: https://chriswillx.com/contact - Learn more about your ad choices. Every traditional financial institution faces the same dilemma: evolve or fall behind, build or buy. But when safety, predictability, and trust is paramount, how do traditional finance companies innovate? How do they place their innovation bets, and decide what to explore and not to explore? Fidelity Chairman and CEO Abigail P. Johnson shares an inside look into Fidelity's decade of crypto experimentation -- from early Bitcoin mining to building foundational custody infrastructure to stablecoins and much more. Johnson shares how Fidelity explored dozens of crypto use cases; why only one initially mattered, and how a single foothold shaped a long-term institutional strategy. This episode is for anyone interested in exploring how innovation happens inside companies, how startups can partner with big institutions, how TradFi is approaching crypto in this "Year of Institutional Adoption"... and what the next decade of financial infrastructure might look like.We originally recorded it at our Founders Summit event in October 2025, in conversation with a16z crypto COO Anthony Albanese, who was the Chief Regulatory Officer of the New York Stock Exchange before joining a16z; and was previously acting superintendent of the New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS), where he signed and issued New York's first-ever BitLicense. As a reminder, none of the following is investment, business, or tax advice; please see a16z.com/disclosures for more information. In this insightful episode, host Todd Zipper sits down with Jeanne Allen, Founder and CEO of the Center for Education Reform (CER). Jeanne walks us through her three decades of relentless advocacy, tracing the evolution of education reform from the dawn of the charter school movement to today's rapidly accelerating landscape of school choice. They discuss the principles of the Yass Prize's STOP framework—finding providers who are Sustainable, Transformational, Outstanding, and Permissionless—and the monumental impact it has on scaling innovation. Jeanne unpacks the complexity of education funding, addressing criticisms of choice programs by revealing the opaque, century-old way government-run public education is funded. She also details the Parent Power Index, an initiative designed to hold state leaders accountable and truly empower parents with information on their education laws. Finally, they explore the critical need for civics education through the "Why America" initiative, the importance of foundational virtues and a moral compass in schooling, and the necessity of teacher autonomy as a means to increase student engagement and satisfaction.Don't miss this conversation on how we can accelerate the pace of change, put students first, and ensure a better future for education in America.
On this Midweek Show the host opens with a spirited "Word on Word" scripture segment and checks in on an alarming December deep freeze predicted across much of North America. He urges listeners to prepare practically and to build community ties in the face of severe weather. The episode then dives into immigration and domestic security concerns, including a short clip of Secretary Noem on alleged visa fraud linked to Somali immigrants in Minnesota. The host reviews claims about welfare dependency, alleged visa fraud rates, and money-laundering concerns while criticizing local leadership. He also discusses explosive allegations raised in the broadcast about Representative Ilhan Omar, framed as issues the host believes deserve scrutiny. Turning to law enforcement and intelligence, the show plays a clip from Kash Patel defending recent FBI results and highlighting arrests, child recoveries, counter‑intelligence wins and fentanyl interdictions. The host praises some operational outcomes but expresses frustration that, despite years of alleged corruption, there have been few high‑profile prosecutions or "perp walks." He questions timing and accountability while weighing anonymous-source journalism versus measurable results. On the economy the program covers optimistic fiscal claims: projected large tariff-funded tax refunds, talk of lowering or eliminating income tax, and a new initiative to seed investment accounts for children (including a multi‑billion pledge from private industry). The host calls the child‑savings idea promising while contrasting it with what he sees as worrying Canadian fiscal decisions. Internationally the episode critiques Canadian policy moves (a major pension fund investment overseas, proposed hate‑speech legislation, and defense commitments) and plays clips from NATO leadership and a Treasury official about increased European pledges to buy U.S. military equipment. The host interprets higher NATO spending as a U.S. arms windfall and argues many Western economies are being strained by sustained war support, while also suggesting Ukraine has become a financial laundromat tied to wider geopolitical interests. Venezuela, drugs and the use of military force are also discussed: the host highlights presidential comments telegraphing strikes on drug networks and extractive facilities, and warns that war — or other extreme measures — remains a real risk as global tension escalates. He frames these developments in a larger narrative about a battle between "dark and light," technocratic control, and the potential for large‑scale destabilizing events. Near the end of the episode the host announces a temporary shift in production: he will scale back video (Rumble) shows to focus on long‑running projects, continue regular Podbean episodes when possible, and promises occasional spot updates. He invites listeners to a nightly prayer meeting on Telegram, asks for support in spreading the show, and closes with a personal exhortation to love God and neighbors and to strengthen local community ties. This episode mixes news clips, political commentary and personal updates. Listeners can expect passionate opinion, clip‑based analysis (including voices from Secretary Noem, Kash Patel and NATO/treasury officials), broad international and domestic policy discussion, and practical calls for community preparedness and faith‑based action. On this week's Tipping Point conversation Paul and Wally discuss: RGF's recent opinion piece which highlights issues w/ New Mexico's federal dependency. Why is NM so dependent on DC? What is the harm of this dependence and what can we do about it? RGF fights for donor privacy with amicus (friend of the court) brief: Early voting is underway in Albuquerque City elections. Paul and Wally urge city residents to get out and vote. Many of Albuquerque's homeless have been outfitted with new hoodies that say I heart Tim Keller. What's going on? Two "progressive" council candidates have some interesting parts of their backgrounds (including one of them being arrested) that they've covered up. We don't like runoffs but they are better than ranked choice voting. The experience with ranked choice voting in Santa Fe is a perfect example of the problems with "ranked choice."

We dive into the fastest technological shift of our lifetimes and put it through a prophetic lens that refuses both panic and denial. With clips from Imad Mostaque, we examine how AI models are trained without core ethics, why alignment arrives too late, and how systems can learn to deceive when incentives reward manipulation. This isn't sci‑fi nostalgia; it's the lived reality of compressed timelines, billion‑device dependencies, and escalating stakes for freedom, faith, and human agency. We explore the cultural terrain as much as the technical. AI companions, synthetic intimacy, and persuasive algorithms reshape how people form beliefs and bonds. Enterprises adopt AI to build, sell, and decide at scale, while the average person hears friendly voices on phone trees and smart devices that gradually become gatekeepers. When leaders estimate a 10–50% chance of catastrophic outcomes within 10–20 years, the question shifts from whether risk is real to how to set better defaults now. Think transparency, oversight, and ethical constraints baked into architecture, not layered on as an afterthought. From a biblical vantage point, concentrated power carried by an image-like agent that speaks, persuades, and enforces has fresh resonance. AI's reach across identity, payments, and persuasion makes large‑scale control plausible in ways prior generations could not sustain. Yet hope runs deeper than fear: the same tools that scale deceit can amplify truth, education, and compassion when guided by conscience. Our stance is practical and pastoral—use technology wisely, guard the heart, strengthen community, and keep the mission clear. Listen to the conversation, test the claims, and decide what you will build, resist, and redeem. If these are the days that set the defaults, let's choose courage, clarity, and love. Subscribe, share with a friend who thinks about the future, and leave a review with your biggest question so we can tackle it next.Support the show
Over the past few years, the conversation about autonomy in agtech has moved from “but, does it work?” to “how can I get started?” This is a significant shift, indicative of autonomous machinery becoming a fully commercial category in agriculture. In this episode, Matthew Pryor, Founding Partner at Tenacious Ventures, discusses his recent observations at the Gatton Agtech Showcase, in QLD, Australia, highlighting the move towards production-ready autonomous machinery. He discusses how structure is now emerging in the Australian agtech autonomy market, including in sales and distribution, with a mix of companies from established equipment dealers to venture backed scale-ups. He predicts growth in this market to only compound in the coming years.Matthew and Sarah are joined by Shane Thomas, founder of Upstream Ag Insights, to also dive into recent agtech news and market trends. They discuss:The role of traditional dealership networks in an autonomous futureThe potential misuse of the term ‘autonomous'Regional variations in market dynamics around autonomy between Australia, the US, and CanadaThe forces reshaping crop protection, including the rise of non-chemical solutions such as laser weeding and electric weed controlUseful Links:Carbon Robotics raises $20m to build ‘another AI robot'?, AgFunder News Monarch Tractor sued over tractors that were 'unable to operate autonomously', TechCrunchIs Farmers' Traditional Loyalty to Ag Equipment Colors Fading?, Farm EquipmentThe Four Forces reshaping the crop protection industry and what comes next, Upstream Ag InsightsThe Generics Revolution and the New Economic Geography of the Global Pesticide Industry, Journal of Agrarian ChangeThe Race to Define the Future of Ag Retail with Shane Thomas of Upstream Ag Insights, Agtech So What?Getting into the Weeds: AI, Computer Vision, and the Future of Non-Chemical Weeding, Agtech So What?Investment Notes: Azaneo, Tenacious VenturesDisrupting the AgTech Ecosystem with Ron Adner, Agtech So What?Vavilovian Mimicry, BionityFor more information and resources, visit our website. Episode 60. AJ Climate Champions with Hattie Hartman and Joe Jack Williams. In this episode, we take a deep dive into building with timber. Haggart shares numerous tips for practices just getting started. Early engagement with the supply chain and getting the right engineer are essential. Efficient use of timber is essential, as is designing for longevity and adaptability by getting column grids right and incorporating ‘soft spots' where connections between floors can be introduced at a later date. Managing moisture by designing out wet trades is just as critical as fire risk. Haggart also explains how engineered timber structures can be designed for circularity. She sees a future of more manufacturer take-back schemes, rather than the current fledgling approach of one-to-one reuse between a host building and a donor building. Waugh Thistleton's Black & White Building recently won global recognition as a winner of the Built by Nature prize, recognised particularly for its efficient use of timber in both structure and facade and an informative LCA report which sets out the metrics behind the building in an engaging and accessible manner that others can learn from. Current projects in the pipeline include a twin office building for Lendlease on the Milan Expo site, a stone clad office tower in Maidenhead and collaboration with community housing practice We Can Make in Bristol. In this episode of Longevity by Design, host Dr. Gil Blander sits down with Dr. Albert-László Barabási, Professor at Northeastern University, to explore how networks shape health, aging, and nutrition. Barabási explains how biological and social networks influence resilience, robustness, and our ability to recover from stress or disease. He describes aging as a gradual loss of resilience, where the body becomes less able to bounce back from small disruptions. The conversation moves into the world of nutrition, where Barabási introduces the concept of “nutritional dark matter.” He argues that food contains thousands of little-known molecules, many of which play key roles in health but remain largely unmapped and unstudied. Barabási breaks down how these compounds, especially those found in plants, support cellular function far beyond the traditional nutrients listed on food labels. The episode closes with a look at ultra-processed foods and their link to disease risk. Barabási shares new research tools that can help people evaluate what they eat and make smarter choices. Throughout, he reminds listeners that strong connections, between cells, foods, and people, are at the heart of long, healthy lives. Guest-at-a-Glance
