This is SIOL's 12th live album review. The guy's discuss SIOL style and breakdown the album, the tracks and of course Paul Stanley's outrageous stage banter as well. Prepare your beam sabers and polish your Zaku helmets-this episode of Play Comics is about to launch straight into the Universal Century! We're diving headfirst into the PS2 classic Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation vs Zeon, where the only thing more intense than the space battles is trying to pronounce “RX-78-2” three times fast. Joining the fray is none other than Derek Van Dyke from Super Deluxe GamesCast and Castle Bravo, who's here to help us decide once and for all: Is it better to fight for the Federation, or is life just more fun in a mono-eyed mobile suit? Expect hot takes, cooler mobile suits, and at least one attempt to dodge a colony drop with nothing but sheer podcasting bravado. So grab your joystick, pick a side, and get ready for a barrage of wit, wisdom, and way too many references to Newtypes. The One Year War has never sounded this entertaining. Learn such things as: How real is the science of Gundam? Do you really have to play as one of the characters to have a game that feels right? If I thought of a story arc that already existed, does that make me a genius or just guilty of pre-plagarism? And so much more! You can find Derek on BlueSky and of course as part of the Super Deluxe GamesCast and Castle Bravo. If you want to be a guest on the show please check out the Be a A Guest on the Show page and let me know what you're interested in. How does a label execute ambitious rerelease campaigns for its key artists, in this case Yes and Talking Heads? We talk with Rhino A&R directors Jason Jones and Steve Woolard about the Super Deluxe Editions, Record Store Day releases and other archival packages they have been assembling for these two bands. Woolard also oversaw Yes rereleases more than 20 years ago—how have the band's audience and their expectations changed since then? Why does the Yes Close to the Edge box mix CDs, a Blu-ray and an LP while the Talking Heads: 77 box is all vinyl? Where are Jones and Woolard finding the treasure trove of live recordings from both bands? Which band members do they work with? Are Tales from Topographic Oceans and More Songs About Buildings and Food the next to get the Super Deluxe treatment, with the later albums to follow?

After years of success, RockShox has updated its trail and gravity suspension lineup with some new internals for model year '25. The latest Charger 3.1 damper is now found across all fork models, while rear shocks gain an XL air can option and a high-flow main piston for Super Deluxe models. They have also re-introduced the Vivid Coil shock with some technology derived from the Vivid Air released last year. We sat down with Chris Mandell from SRAM and RockShox to help make sense of all the technical. We discussed the motivation behind the changes made, how they were achieved, and how they make an impact out on the trail.Learn more about everything discussed in this video - https://www.vitalmtb.com/news/press-release/rockshox-announces-charger-3-1-damper-vivid-coil-and-updates-super-deluxePlay Vital Downhill Fantasy - https://www.vitalmtb.com/fantasy
This week Tom & Zeus break down the KISS Destroyer 45th Anniversary Super Deluxe Box Set, Disc 4, "Live In Paris" The KISS album Destroyer was released in 1976 and is considered to be one of KISS' most legendary albums. For it's 45th anniversary, Destroyer became the first KISS album to be given the Super Deluxe Box Set treatment. Disc 4 of the Box set is a live album from the Destroyer tour on May 22, 1976 at the L'Olympia in Paris France. This is SIOL's 9th live album review. The guy's breakdown the album, the tracks and of course Paul Stanley's stage banter as well. They list their top 5 favorite tracks and rank the cover and the album against the 8 live albums by KISS that were previously reviewed. The episode begins with a heartfelt tribute to Zeus' dad and his promise to be a better person. See if he can make it past the KISS news section before he breaks that promise. Sometimes you hear about a game and you know you're going to love it. God Hand, released by Clover Studio and Capcom in 2006, is one of those games. Despite hearing about its difficulty (which was true, my hands still hurt), I loved playing this game and it deserves its resurging cult status. Now if only someone could convince Capcom that this is worth remastering. We can dream, can't we? We have finally started talking about Diamonds and Pearls, the album proper. We have SO many thoughts that were worth sharing, that we had to break our coverage into two parts. If there is an authority on the production, editing, mixing, and mastering of film scores, it is Mike Matessino. He has had a hand in hundreds of films including classics such as the Star Wars Trilogy, Poltergeist, The Goonies, Superman, Back to the Future, Home Alone, the Star Trek films and Empire of the Sun. For his latest project, he meticulously remixed and remastered the Super Deluxe version of The Sound of Music from the original multi-track tapes and also wrote the in-depth liner notes. It is a definitive collection that includes every musical element from Rodgers & Hammerstein's timeless masterpiece for the very first time, along with 11 never-before-heard alternate takes, including rare performances from the cast. Geoff Stanfield caught up with Mike from his home in Los Angeles to discuss. Enjoy. Sponsored by: Distrokid https://distrokid.com
