This week we explore our pasts and those of the mates we choose, should their past have a statute of limitations? Our #BrunchBanter question asks if it's okay for your partner to claim their ex as their soulmate? (The polls came in 76% to 24% in favor of NO). Fans seem to have suffered from serious cabin fever during the pandemic and have taken their frustrations to the court - literally. They've been throwing stuff and spitting on players, and these athletes ain't wit' the sh**s anymore. What should be done? The guys give their take on DMX's posthumous release and dive right into the proposed Mount Rushmore of the 2010-2020 decade in Hip-Hop. Enjoy and please don't forget to save and share our show!
"G'day mate" is an introduction to the Australian way of life, the language, culture, food and sport. It is inspired by SBS Arabic24's podcast 'Australia explained' by Maram Ismael.
Kylie Gersekowski may be in Australia but she had a vision that Sew Powerful would need her talents globally. And she sure was right. As the founder and original member of the Sew Powerful Purse Project on Facebook, Kylie pulled together other Aussie bag makers to sew for Sew Powerful. But soon the word spread far and wide and behold, we now have a 4000 member Facebook group that supports and encourages each other. Listen as Kylie gives her history with Sew Powerful but then ends with a very important announcement about her role and a new person on the scene in Australia.

The Mayor and Flonk stave off the fearful specter of Mr. Poppy by virtue of the Mayor losing his external hard drive, so instead it's time to check out our dear Shane Black's first big hit, Lethal Weapon, starring Danny Glover, who is not that old, and Mel Gibson, whose hilariously terrible accent helps distract us from the fact that he's an un-hilariously terrible person.

Whew, August was a rough month, y'all! Illness, new jobs, general misfortune...anyway, we finally got around to making episode 11! Wow! That's almost a year of episodes! This month, we were joined by Alex Clark, an Australian artist who was kind enough to help us choose the best and worst Australian animals, discuss accents, decode dancing, and learn how to be feisty! Also, our extremely controversial guest, Lee the Spud, DOES make a brief appearance. It's not our fault people asked her questions, okay!! UNFORTUNATELY, due to the farcical nature of Asia's life, we wound up recording the American half of this episode in an echoey kitchen, and quite a few yappy barks can be heard in the background of the middle part of the show. Between that and making sure the Australian half of the show synced up, this proved to be QUITE the editing challenge. We really did our best, so we hope you can bear with us! As always, thank you so much for listening, and please feel free to join in the fun by sending your questions and comments to mostlyrationalpod@gmail.com or through our website, www.mostlyrationalpodcast.com For bonus material, visit our Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/mostlyrational Follow us on Twitter: @mostlyrational Instagram: @mostlyrationalpodcast
Nearly killed at birth. Nearly drowned as a toddler. Australian transplant to America, where he becomes a rich South Florida playboy. Stone cold sexual predator. One of the deadliest spree killers in U.S. history. As Melissa explains in this episode, all of those descriptions apply to Christopher Wilder, who in less than three months in early 1984 wrote the swansong to his scabrous 39-year life by abducting and raping (at least) 12 women, killing (at least) 8 of them over a six-week cross-country murder binge that didn't end until...well let's not spoil the ending. Suffice it to say that nothing about the story of "The Beauty Queen Killer," as Wilder was dubbed by the American press, is anything close to beautiful.

G’Day Mate - In this Week’s show, Justin and Andy discuss the Man Flu – it’s nothing Norton or Eset can take care of yet dealing with it can mess up the week. Listener Pete Cole from The UK sends a Twitter Message complimenting the show and it sends the guys off on the subject of accents. Social Media lights up to the prospect of a Dundee movie to really happen after the ad campaign to travel Australia, Put the knife away Paul, Justin only feels you need more sunscreen. Scams, they exist just about everywhere. Andy shares his recent experience shopping for a car and how the experience has changed from 10 years ago giving the consumer more info however also opens buyers to possible scams. Andy talks about True Car, Autotrader and Cars.Com. The internet can aid the experience with reviews and it’s recommended to study up with the time saved traveling dealer to dealer. How can a consumer determine the validity of a review? Andy stumbles across a friend’s Snapchat post wondering if a deal found online for a truck she wanted to buy for her boyfriend was too good to be true. After contacting and getting more information, the deal obviously is the work of a scam. Everyday people are taken in by great deals, incredible circumstances and situations which are one of a kind. These one a kind deals can usually leave the potential buyer the victim of fraud and identity theft. Andy shares some of the reasons why this deal should be walked away from. Justin and Andy offer up some tips on examining a deal. The Auto Shows are in full force and Volkswagen introduces some models which are real head turners. Cadillac offers a hands free vehicle which confronts Tesla in its Ad Campaign. Other vehicles are discussed along with the crazy conspiracy of the Tesla in Space. Andy decides to hold off on the upgrade to the iPhone X or 8S Plus. With this first thought, the Samsung Galaxy S9 was announced (Now Available). Justin gives us some insight on the Google Pay feature available to Smartphone users. The weeks Website of the Week is http://www.techbargains.com Connect with us on our Social Media sites.
