Many passages of Scripture point to an anticipated reward for our perserverance in the faith. We heard from the Boom Crew about what kinds of training they are currently being called into. We also heard from Mark Jobe about an opportunity to donate to Moody Bible Institute and to help us continue training up disciples for the Kingdom of God. Have you ever chalked up someone's success to just good fortune? Prepare to have that notion turned on its head as we dive into the transformative power of consistency. Forget the serendipity - it's the daily grind, the disciplined effort, and the steadfast commitment to small actions that truly carve one's path to success. This message uncovers how such persistence across various life domains – be it financial health, nurturing relationships, or fostering spiritual growth – can lead to astounding achievements. Jacob shares the insights you need to keep moving forward, even when the finish line seems out of sight.Together, we'll navigate the biblical tenet of sowing and reaping, dissecting its relevance in our everyday lives. It's a principle that transcends time, echoing the cautionary tale that our actions indeed bear consequences, whether we sow in nourishment or negligence. The laws of this principle are simple yet profound, and we venture into how inviting the Holy Spirit into our lives can transcend mere behavior modification and bring about genuine transformation. It's not just about what we do; it's about the seeds we choose to plant every single day.As we wrap up, we anchor ourselves in the bedrock of faith and prayer, drawing strength from the everlasting well of Christ within us. For anyone feeling confined by their circumstances or weighed down by past traumas, the empowering influence of Christian counseling and the Holy Spirit's bravery to persevere are discussed in heartfelt detail. By the end of the message, as we reflect together, you'll find an invitation to a personal recommitment to walk with Jesus, celebrating this profound act of faith as a collective, a community rooted in the power of perseverance and grace.Support the showMade a decision to follow Jesus? Jesus is about to demonstrate how far He will go express His love for mankind. He will sacrifice everything and show how to focus on eternal rewards. Those who were there that day, heard Jesus explain what the commitment would have to be, and heard His Father confirm the importance of the sacrifice. This would be one more example of what it means to follow Jesus. To die to self, to fulfill God's purpose in this life, to then receive eternal reward in heaven.

Author Jim Afremow in “The Champions Mind – How Great Athletes Think, Train and Thrive" says that self-control is the secret of champions. I say self-control is the secret to any health and wellness success. If you can develop the ability to hold on for the larger reward, you will be successful. If you can bypass tempting treats, such as certain foods or skipping a workout or cutting it short, then you will pass your own marshmallow test. If you resist the short cuts in your fitness and nutrition, you will have more success in the long run.Grab the FREE GUIDE below and have a GREAT WEEK!Come talk to me here:Find me on my Website:https://www.lesleylmcshane.comFREE Guide: 4 Steps To Prioritize Your Health & Wellness This Week (And Actually Do It!) Matthew 1 and Isaiah 7 for Advent 4
The human heart seeks to be rewarded through being seen and praised by people. Our Father in Heaven desires to reward us, and Jesus teaches us to seek the greater reward—God himself. In Matthew 6, Jesus teaches us to beware of the desire to be seen by people, to know how to practice our righteousness, and to hope in the reward from God.
