This episode is a must-listen for anyone ready to ditch outdated financial advice and build a more aligned, purpose-driven approach to wealth.I sat down with Garrett Gunderson—author, speaker, and one of the most influential voices in rethinking money and investing. Garrett's work has deeply impacted both me and my husband, helping us step away from the noise of traditional financial models and instead lean into strategies that feel aligned with our values, purpose, and long-term vision. We talk about Garrett's roots, his early challenges with scarcity-based thinking, and what it looks like to lead your business and financial life from a place of clarity and confidence. One of the biggest game-changers? His concept of Investor DNA—a totally different way to look at investing based on who you are and how you're wired, not some cookie-cutter formula. We also dig into what it really means to invest in yourself, your team, and your strengths, and how leadership plays a key role in building sustainable wealth. In this episode, you'll hear about:

We base our discussion around the fantastic book, "The Art of Living a Meaningless Existence: Ideas From Philosophy That Change the Way You Think" by Robert Pantano. He is the author of 2 Second Lean: How to Grow People and Build a Fun Lean Culture at Work & at Home*. We often add more in order to make a system better. The opposite tactic is often more useful: making things simpler. In this conversation, Paul and I explore how to make worker better by starting small. Key Points Your pride will blind you to what you most need to learn. Begin by addressing the things that bug you. Lean is about making things simpler. Instead of batching, consider one-piece flow. This helps you improve as you go. Set the standard at 2 seconds to try something new. Anybody can achieve that. Start in the bathroom. Showing respect in the place everybody visits sets a standard for the rest of the organization. To make something stick, (1) set the expectation, (2) inspect the expectation, (3) reinforce the expectation. Success and Happiness Start with Your Thoughts... It's Time to Change the Way You Think! We all probably recall some version of Proverbs 23:7 So as one thinks, so he/she is... And Best-selling author Andrew Matthews takes us on a journey to demonstrate it, through research and common sense. The fact is we choose our thoughts, and what we dwell on (even unintentionally) we will gravitate toward. And that will affect both your success and happiness. Have you ever felt stuck, like no matter what you do, true success and happiness always seem just out of reach? What if the key to unlocking everything you desire isn't in what you do—but in how you think? Join us on A New Direction, as we welcome Andrew Walters, author of Being Happy! A Handbook to Greater Confidence & Security. This episode will challenge everything you thought you knew about success, security, and personal fulfillment! In his best-selling book, Andrew reveals how our thoughts don't just influence our emotions—they create our reality. When we shift our mindset, we don't just find happiness—we unlock success in every area of life. The way we think determines what we attract, how we handle challenges, and ultimately, the opportunities that come our way. If you've ever doubted your potential or struggled to break free from negativity, this conversation will give you the practical tools and mental shifts needed to take control of your happiness, confidence, and success. This isn't just another feel-good talk—it's a wake-up call for anyone ready to stop surviving and start thriving. If you're tired of watching others achieve the success you crave, it's time to rewire your mind and take control of your future. Tune in and discover how to shift your mindset for happiness, confidence, and the success you truly deserve! Andrew Matthews' Updated best-selling book, "Being Happy! A Handbook to Grater Confidence & Security, is a real winner. There may be many of you are skeptics that your thinking has anything to do with your success.  My suggestion...think again. We all know if you think negatively, then what you do is you see your world negatively.  You focus on the negative things happening in your life.  But change your thinking to a positive attitude, your world looks different.  Do bad things still happen?  Of course they do, but when you change your thinking, they are not bad or good, they just are. This is where Andrew Matthew's "Being Happy!" really shines.  Has done the research.  He has done his own investigative research.  He has read countless books on the subject and still comes back to the conclusion, if you want to be successful and happy in life...it starts with what you are telling yourself in your brain. As a former skeptic of this idea, "Being Happy!" has only removed any skepticism that is left.  The fact is our behavior is shaped by our thought.  It's just a fact. What we focus on tends to gravitate to us.  And while all the "science" (whatever that really means) is not all crystal clear.  Why not be at least open to the idea that this can change you. All that said, the backdrop of this book is you can't just try what Andrew Matthews' is saying, like trying on a pair of blue jeans to see if they fit.   No, you must make the commitment, put in the effort, be resilient, and really stick to it. After all you have habits.  We all do.  We also have thinking habits.  We all do.  You want to improve your life? It's time to change them! Click here to get your copy of "Being Happy!" 393. How to change the way you think about your pricing to earn more

Today's episode is a bit of a special treat. I'm sharing a live call from my Brand Builders Academy, and it's all about Pressure Testing Your Pricing. It's something I believe is super important for you to hear. I wanted to kick off March with some sales magic—focusing on money, pricing, and going bigger with your brand.  Key Takeaways: There's always someone in the market who will pay premium prices for the transformation you offer. It's crucial to know deep down that what you bring is worth every penny. If Russell Bronson can throw a $1 million offer out there, trust me, there's potential for your pricing to stretch too. Have you tried imagining how it feels to charge different amounts? I call it pressure testing. Think about charging $1,000, then $5,000, and even $10,000. Notice where it feels uncomfortable or yucky and ask yourself why. It's an exercise in knowing your worth and being open to new possibilities. Your price often reflects the value you deliver and the brand you build around it. Look at what your audience sees and hears from you. Is it aspirational? Are you communicating the value of your service in a way that makes them want to book with you now or put you on their vision board? I can't emphasize enough how crucial it is to communicate the value of your offer—showcase the transformation, the wins. Whether it's a luxurious VIP experience or a simple service, your audience needs to see why you're worth the investment. Sometimes, it feels like to charge more, you need to give away your soul (not literally!). But often, it's about the wrapping—how you package and talk about your offer. Create an irresistible package that speaks to your clients' desires and meet them at their level. Doesn't it feel exhilarating to push those boundaries? Embracing this mindset shift could be the game-changer for elevating your brand and your income. Trust in your capabilities, communicate your excellence, and the results will follow.   NEXT STEPS: READY TO WORK TOGETHER AND TAKE YOUR BUSINESS & BRAND TO THE NEXT LEVEL:

Are you ready to change the way you think about comparison for absolute-freaking-ever? Do you know that moment when you open Instagram, start scrolling, and see someone in your industry who is signing her dream clients, getting brand deals, interviewing on podcasts, and makes launching look like a walk in the park? You know you should feel inspired because you're all about women's empowerment, but instead, you're feeling jealous and frustrated. You're thinking, "Why her? Why not me? What does she do differently?"Here's the thing: if you're feeling triggered by someone, it's most likely your subconscious mind showing you where you need to grow, and that might be hard (sure, it was for me!). I know you're not here to play small, so let's talk about how to reprogramme your subconscious so when comparison creeps in next time, you can stop it right there and then, instead of going down the spiral of comparison.
