Sometimes, advocating for your own health can save your life. In this inspiring conversation of HEAL with Kelly, I sit down with my good friend Cameron Mathison, Emmy-nominated actor, television host, and wellness advocate to talk about the journey that transformed not just his body, but his entire life. You may know Cameron from General Hospital, All My Children, or as a beloved host on Entertainment Tonight and Hallmark's Home & Family, but behind the spotlight was a decade-long struggle with unexplained health issues that eventually led to a shocking diagnosis: kidney cancer. Cameron shares how this wake-up call became a powerful turning point, guiding him away from surface-level “health” and toward a deeper, more holistic approach rooted in functional medicine, mindfulness, and self-awareness. Today, Cameron feels and looks stronger and more vibrant than ever and he's helping others do the same through Health360, a functional health coaching platform that empowers people to reset their bodies, optimize their energy, and truly thrive. We explore what it really means to take ownership of your health, why prevention is the most powerful medicine, and how practices like meditation and emotional awareness can be just as healing as food or fitness. Cameron's story is a reminder that true healing begins when you start listening to your body and that it's never too late to choose a new path. Key Moments You'll Love ✨:

Spiraling is how it feels when you are in that state of flailing overwhelm. Where everything bad and wrong and scary and stressful keeps getting amplified. When you take one step forward and ten steps back. It's the perfect shit storm of anxiety, hypervigilance, hypersensitivity, and low capacity that creates room for all your negative thought patterns to run wild. We call it spiraling because it feels like you are falling into a deep and winding abyss (and your nervous system is activated and being very dramatic.)Often you are so identified with the spiral as being YOU DOING IT WRONG that you forget that you have a choice. The spiral is not YOU. It's your human experience which is narrated by a lot of programming coming from outside of you. We sit with psychedelics because they create space. They are a universal pause creator that invites other perspectives to get in. And what happens when you pause and allow the spiral to show you itself, to look at it more fully. To feel into it. To contemplate it. To redefine and reframe what is happening to an opportunity instead of life being out to get you... you realize that you're not actually falling, going backward, or failing. Because the spiral is always expanding and evolving. This week on the show, I'm exploring what to do when you're caught in the downward spiral. You'll learn how to recognize this in yourself, and how to slow things down so you can gain a different perspective and ride the spiral into deeper healing and more authenticity. A month ago I recorded an episode where I was completely spiraling about my son starting Montessori & my business hours changing. I walked you through my anxiety, my fears about losing work hours, all of it.Today? I'm giving you the raw update. Week one was a disaster. Week two, I sat in my car for 4 hours taking coaching calls with the engine running. Week four, my anxiety is completely gone...even though I'm recording this while Griffin interrupts me every 3 minutes asking for a bandaid because he cut himself on a cardboard knife. (Fact lol I may have edited that one out bc #momfail, but you'll hear his tiny voice!)You'll hear:Why my anxiety disappeared once I stopped comparing schedulesHow losing work hours made me fitter (counterintuitive but true)What actually worked vs. my three planned Google Doc schedulesMy almost 5 year old's transformation in 4 weeksOnce those 7-hour daycare days weren't an option anymore, it stopped being "how will I ever make this work" and became "this IS working."I'm not saying it's smooth. Last week I carried Griffin out without shoes. The library internet keeps dropping calls. But I can breathe now.If you're in your own messy middle trying to make something work that feels impossible—you figure it out by doing it. Episode 73: "BECOMING Refreshed: Your Invitation to Deeper Waters with Amy Allgood" Episode Description Are you feeling weary from the constant pace and pull of life? In this powerful episode, host Cherisse Hixson sits down with mentor, coach, and entrepreneur Amy Allgood to explore what it means to move from spiritual "shallow waters" into the deeper, more abundant life God has for us. Amy shares her journey from being a "selfish Christian" focused on what God could do for her, to discovering the transformative power of asking "What can I do for You, God?" This conversation is a gentle invitation for women who are ready to step beyond surface-level faith into authentic spiritual refreshment, rest, and renewal in Jesus. Meet Amy Allgood Amy is a sought-after speaker, mentor, and entrepreneur who has addressed audiences of over 12,000 women. As a National Sales Director with Mary Kay and leader of women's biblical small groups for nine years, Amy is passionate about helping women discover their unique gifts and calling. She's a wife to Will, mom to three children (ages 12, 10, and 9), and lives in sunny Shalimar, Florida. When she's not mentoring women, you'll find her enjoying good food with friends, "SPA-ING" (her favorite hobby), or traveling to one of the 15+ countries she's visited. Key Takeaways & Timestamps Moving from Head to Heart (17:29) The transformative power of fasting as a spiritual discipline Amy shares miraculous stories from her community's fasting experiences How to fast as a beginner: giving up something you love to gain closeness with God From Shallow to Deep Waters (09:07) Signs you might be living in the "shallow end" spiritually The difference between checking spiritual boxes vs. truly knowing God Moving from "What can You do for me?" to "What can I do for You?" The Martha vs. Mary Balance (12:46) Why women leaders often struggle with the "doing" vs. "being" tension Understanding that if it's not God's calling, there will be no eternal fruit Breaking free from society's "busy badge of honor" mentality Bold Obedience and Sabbath Rest (28:30) Amy's conversation with her Olympic-hopeful daughter about resting on the seventh day Why God's commands aren't suggestions but pathways to blessing The courage required to please God rather than people Standing in the Gap (30:45) God's call for bold believers in this season Personal stories of stepping into God's assignments The blessing of being someone God can count on Scripture Themes Explored Mary and Martha - The balance between doing and being with Jesus Sabbath Rest - God's design for restoration and renewal Standing in the Gap - Being available for God's assignments The Potter and Clay - Surrendering to God's shaping in our lives Practical Application Three Ways to Move Deeper This Week: Try Fasting - Give up something you love (like sugar or social media) to focus on drawing closer to God Practice Listening Prayer - Instead of bringing God your list, sit quietly and ask "What do You want to show me today?" What would change if you shifted from asking "God, what can You do for me?" to "God, what can I do for You?" Where is God calling you to bold obedience in this season? How can you create more space for listening prayer in your daily rhythm? Quote to Ponder "Be around people who are going to celebrate you and not tolerate you. Early in life we try to please people, we try to impress people, and it's exhausting and it's a waste of time and energy." - Amy Allgood Prayer Father, thank You for pursuing us even when we're content to stay in shallow waters. In these moments, it's easy to feel disoriented, like success is slipping further and further out of reach. But what if these unsettling moments are actually fertile ground for something beautiful? Today on the 4:13, Levi Lusko talks about how to navigate these spiraling seasons with faith and courage. He shares honest stories, biblical wisdom, and practical rhythms to help you pause, gain perspective, and discover that even the hardest transitions can become blessings in disguise. Meghan McCain, host of Citizen McCain with Meghan McCain (@MeghanMcCain), joined The Guy Benson Show today to reflect on how she's doing in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's tragic assassination. McCain explained why those celebrating his death represent a disturbing and growing faction on the left, one that many conservatives would never dream of emulating, and described their hatred as almost animalistic. McCain also pointed to Jimmy Kimmel's cancellation as another example of left-wing radicalization, arguing that if even one moderate or conservative voice had been in the room, his offensive joke and spread of misinformation could have been prevented. She detailed how hard it was to work at ABC as a conservative during her time there, and you can listen to the full interview below! Learn more about your ad choices. In this episode of Your Own Magic, I explore a feeling so many of us carry quietly: the pressure of being “behind.” Behind on career, on love, on milestones that the world tells us should have happened by now.Together, we'll unravel the myth of the linear timeline and redefine what success and milestones really mean. From celebrating the quiet achievements that rarely get applause, to noticing the sacred timing that doesn't match anyone else's calendar, this conversation is a reminder that you are not late... you are right on time for you.And because I always love a cosmic touch, I close with reflections on the moon as a mirror for our lives. Just like her phases (new, waxing, full, waning) our own cycles of rest and growth are equally valid, equally necessary. If you've ever felt like you're “off schedule,” this is your invitation to breathe, soften, and trust the rhythm of your own becoming.✨RAQUELLE + YOMyourownmagic.comig @raquellemantrafb group your own magicSPONSORS' SPECIAL OFFERS hereSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/your-own-magic/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands

What do you do when anxiety suddenly takes hold and you find yourself spiraling? How do you begin to unravel the past wounds and circumstances that have led you to a place of chaos and uncertainty? For author and pastor Levi Lusko, a season of anxiety emerged seemingly out of nowhere. After years of pushing hard in ministry and leadership, he found himself waking up in the middle of the night gripped by an intense panic attack. The journey to uncover the root causes of that experience took time—but it was through that very process that he discovered how God meets us not only in our triumphs but also in our most chaotic, uncertain seasons. In one of his most vulnerable books yet, Blessed Are the Spiraling: How the Chaotic Search for Significance Can Lead to Joy Through Life's Shifting Seasons, Levi shares the raw, personal account of navigating panic attacks, questioning his calling, confronting deep-seated fears, and unearthing childhood wounds. Through that journey, he found a healthier, more grounded rhythm of life and ministry—one anchored in God's presence through every season and joy.In this candid conversation, Davey and Levi explore the emotional toll leadership can take, the transformative power of revisiting and healing from past childhood wounds, and the importance of discernment in choosing who walks alongside us through our healing journeys. If you've ever found yourself overwhelmed by anxiety or navigating a season that feels uncertain and out of control, this conversation offers a powerful reminder: you are not alone. In the midst of the spiral, God is present—and even in the messiness of life's shifting seasons, it's possible to discover deep, lasting joy.
