Welcome back to the NoCo Pulse as we navigate the whirlwind that is May in Northern Colorado. Someone at soccer described it perfectly: "How's your May December going?" That busy energy perfectly captures this week's packed episode of community news, business updates, and local highlights. What's moving features Miles Beyond Running Community gearing up for their Weld Your Metal Running Festival on May 30th and 31st in Eaton, offering everything from a 7K run walk to ultra distance events complete with saunas, glamping, and mountain views. Following that is the Red White and Brew race on July 20th in Water Valley, closing at the Grainry at the Raynets, and the Greeley Freedom 5K downtown on July 4th. Bass Pro Shops is moving into their massive new 130,000 square foot location at the Brands at the Ranch, an 18 acre development that adds to NoCo's already impressive outdoor retail scene including Scheels, Jax locations, and Sportsman's Warehouse. Joyride is looking to move into NoCo as a bike cafe combining bike repair services with a coffee shop and cafe, founded by Rebe of Rebe Explores and focused on creating inclusive outdoor spaces for everyone from beginners to experts. Community gatherings spotlight Ginger and Baker's eighth annual Dog Flower Crown Photo Day on May 31st, a free event where you can bring your four legged friends for flower crowns and portraits with donations collected for Animal Friends Alliance. The Blues and Cruise car show comes to downtown Loveland May 30th from 10 to 3 featuring classic cars and electric guitars, not to be confused with the Blues and Brews festival on June 5th. Local musician Aubrey Dale releases her debut album Fireweed on May 24th at the Rング for just $29 including a free beverage, sponsored by Greeley Hat Works. Keeping the beat features the fifth annual A Brothers Fountain ABF at the Farm event on June 6th below Devil's Backbone in Loveland, with $30 suggested donation and 10% of proceeds benefiting Loveland Community Kitchen. The Global Sounds Music Festival returns to Old Town Fort Collins on May 30th, a free festival from noon to 6 PM on the big stage bringing music from around the world, presented by the Bohemian Foundation. Dancers from the suddenly closed Canyon Concert Ballet have partnered with Bas Bleu Theatre to present their Swan Song final performance May 22nd through 24th after raising funds to rent the space and pay the dancers. Community support highlights Breeze Thru Car Wash's fundraising program where organizations can raise money the second full weekend of every month through October 31st, with Breeze Thru matching dollar for dollar every donation made at their pay stations. The Boys and Girls Club of Larimer County celebrates 40 years with their Great Futures Gala on May 30th at the Lory Student Center Ballroom, featuring cocktail attire, complimentary drinks, elegant dinner, live auction, and recognition of youth and champions for children. Business news celebrates Verbal Bras, founded by Rebecca Thompson, a New Belgium senior executive assistant who created bras that support wearable breast pumps, saving working moms up to 30 minutes daily. The product has a utility patent and just started shipping this spring after Rebecca discovered the challenges three years ago when she had her daughter. Food picks feature Aloha Poke and Boba on College Avenue near Noodles and Chipotle, serving delicious poke bowls with exceptional service that even got the kids involved and eating. Friendly Nick's Butcher on Lemay Avenue offers the best quality meats from local sustainable farms, amazing house made beef jerky, Nick's Sticks, dog bones, stock, and fresh beef liver, plus they do incredible community work from fundraisers to food baskets to hosting art contests for kids. Tag us at The NoCo Pulse to share how you're supporting local. Stay connected, NoCo.

With Scott Hennen reporting live from the "swamp" in Washington, D.C., Kevin Flynn takes the helm alongside the "future of talk radio"—Hayden Smith and Olivia from Turning Point USA NDSU. This Friday edition of What's On Your Mind is a high-octane mix of local common sense and global high stakes. The team dives into the "blue flu" sweeping through TSA, the infiltration of "kindergarten cabals" in the GOP, and a sobering look at the real threats facing America today. We also get an exclusive preview of actor Josh Duhamel's new movie Preschool and a masterclass in parenting from Seattle-based author Stacey Manning. To top it off, Kevin shares a viral warning to those poking the "Red, White, and Blue Bear." Standout Moments [01:05] The "Blue Flu": Hayden breaks down why certain airports are seeing massive delays, alleging that government workers are falsifying illness to protest the Trump administration. [03:41] No Kings, No Clues: Kevin and the students react to the "No Kings" protest at NDSU, questioning the logic of those who claim the President will never leave office. [09:53] Raising Warriors: Author Stacey Manning joins from Seattle to discuss her book, Raising a Conservative in a Woke City, and why she encourages parents to be "a year early rather than five minutes too late." [14:48] Josh Duhamel Returns: The Hollywood star talks about his new film Preschool, his wellness company Gatlin, and why shooting in London was actually cheaper than Malibu. [19:35] "Everybody Toots": Musician Matt Aakre joins the fun to talk about writing a song for Duhamel's film that is "naughty enough for kids and nauseating for parents." [21:14] The Gatlin Mission: Duhamel gets serious about onshoring pharmaceutical manufacturing to North Dakota to end America's dependence on India and China. [25:57] The Dirty Bomb Scenario: A former military listener provides a terrifying breakdown of how a "dirty bomb" could be built in a standard machine shop and what it means for national security. [27:54] Poking the Bear: Kevin reads his viral open letter to those seeking to dismantle American culture, warning that the "Red, White, and Blue Bear" is about to wake up. [31:02] The Truth About "China Doug": Kevin defends North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum against "globalist" labels, sharing personal stories from their days playing bar trivia in the 90s.

Trump is throwing out policies to pretend he's tackling the housing crisis. Trump brags about making blue states suffer. The Trump administration is looking at land strikes in Mexico. The White House is trying to bribe greenlanders. A former MLB player harassed a daycare looking for fraud. Some Republicans pushed back on Trump on the ACA subsidies and War Powers Resolution. The Epstein files are dropping, and they're exactly as damning as you feared. Flight logs with presidents. Emails from princes asking for "inappropriate friends." Ten co-conspirators...nine still walking free. Guards who slept through their shifts. Cameras that conveniently broke. And a Justice Department that can't keep its story straight for 48 hours. This episode breaks down Epstein news from the last week, why the White House went from celebrating to damage control in three days, and what all of this tells us about who really runs this country. Spoiler: it's not immigrants. It's not welfare recipients. It's not the trans kid at Target. It's the people on those flight logs, and they're still having brunch while you argue about pronouns. This week on Red, White & Bruised, host Robin breaks down another week of chaos from the Trump administration, from potential war crimes to beefing with pop stars to gutting protections for trans prisoners.THE BIG STORY: Pete Hegseth's Boat Strike Scandal The Secretary of Defense is facing war crime allegations after reports surfaced that a second missile was fired at survivors of an initial strike on an alleged drug boat in the Caribbean. 87 people dead across 22 strikes. No evidence released. And Hegseth says he "fully supports" killing shipwrecked survivors. We dig into the Washington Post reporting, the congressional briefings, and why 75% of Americans want to see the receipts.ALSO THIS WEEK:Sabrina Carpenter vs. The White House: The administration used her song for ICE deportation propaganda. She called it "evil and disgusting." The White House called her "stupid." Also, they pissed off Franklin the Turtle. Yes, the children's character. We discuss.Trump's National Security Strategy: Great Replacement Theory is now official U.S. foreign policy. Europe is the enemy. Russia is a partner. This is fine.January 6 Pipe Bomb Arrest: They finally caught the guy. Plot twist: he's a Trump supporter who believed the Big Lie.National Parks Go MAGA: Free admission on MLK Day and Juneteenth? Gone. Free admission on Trump's birthday? You bet."Affordability" Is a Scam Now: Trump ran on lowering prices. Now he says the word "affordability" is a Democratic con job. The cognitive dissonance is breathtaking.Tennessee Special Election Results: A 13-point swing toward Democrats in a deep red district. What it means for 2026.Trump vs. Kaitlan Collins: Another day, another female journalist called "stupid and nasty."MTG's Revenge Tour: Marjorie Taylor Greene confirms Trump was "furious" about her support for releasing the Epstein files. "He said it was going to hurt people."DOJ Guts Trans Prison Protections: The administration quietly ordered inspectors to stop checking whether prisons protect trans inmates from rape. This week on Red, White & Bruised: Tennessee's 7th District special election is somehow competitive in a Trump +22 district, and it's all thanks to Aftyn Behn, a progressive state rep who won't apologize for hating bachelorette parties or fighting corporate tax dodgers. We break down why her campaign is the blueprint Democrats need and why Republicans are in full panic mode. Then: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth allegedly ordered the military to "kill everybody" on a suspected drug boat, leading to a second strike on survivors—which is, you know, a war crime. Robin dissects the messy timeline, the conflicting White House stories, and why this scandal is just getting started.Plus: Luigi Mangione is back in court fighting to suppress evidence in the UnitedHealthcare CEO murder case, and his legal battle is revealing uncomfortable truths about America's broken healthcare system and why so many people can't condemn a murder without adding "but I understand why." And finally: Trump's revenge prosecution of James Comey spectacularly collapses after a federal judge rules the prosecutor's appointment was unconstitutional.
