His legislative accomplishments represent his extensive work fostering Texas' economic vitality and protecting our most vulnerable. He partners with leaders across government and education to ensure technology is applied in ways that are ethical, scalable, and inclusive. Whether collaborating with CIOs, economic development teams, or innovation labs, John brings a people-first approach rooted in trust, empathy, and a long-term vision for impact. He has spoken on AI at national forums, led executive conversations with state leaders, and partnered with organizations including the White House, Microsoft, and AAAE. John also serves on the board of the Keller Education Foundation and is a strong advocate for AI literacy in underserved communities. At the heart of it all, John is a community builder. He believes the most powerful innovations are those shaped by the needs of the people they serve and he works every day to make that belief real. Chase Friedman is Managing Partner at Alpine Anchor, an AI automation platform making enterprise capabilities accessible to SMBs. With 10 years in sales and solution architecting, he combines technical expertise and business acumen, rapidly architecting solutions. From our stories about some notable New Year's Eve moments in our lives to talk about everything from Obamacare to the Big Red (including Ritchie in Papillion), here's our final show of 2025.
On this episode of the Five Heart Podcast, the hosts will take a long look at the upcoming Las Vegas Bowl match-up with the Utah Utes. It was announced on Friday that Utah's coach Kyle Whittingham was in the works to be the new head coach at the University of Michigan. Would Whittingham coach Utah in the bowl game? After that word was made public, allegedly several Utah players began opting out of the bowl game. They were going to play for the man who was going to step down from coaching. But if he's being poached to coach at a Big Ten school, maybe their fealty isn't required. Also, on Christmas, Nebraska received the commitment Christmas Wishes from Ahmad Hudson, a five-star and the number-one tight end in the country for the Class of 2027. So while there' still some of the 2025 season yet to play out, we can always look to the future. In fact, have you noticed that we as Husker fans tend to look at the past (though not as much as we are accused of doing) and to the future, but we don't always appreciate where we're at right now? We're staring at back-to-back bowl games after an eight year drought. There's a lot to be thankful for from a fan perspective. We are not where we once were, but we're definitely not at our lowest point, and we are heading in the right direction. Like Sawyer Brown sang: Well I hear something calling me Like I've never heard before. It's a red and white freight train And I want to get on board. GBR
Austin, Dak, and Hunter give their thoughts to the Husker football Christmas list for 2026.
ITB's Eagles beat reporter Andrew DiCecco gives his insights from covering the Eagles on a daily basis. In this episode, he goes inside the Jake Elliott situation and how the Birds will react to their kicker's struggles this late in the season and other developments as they prepare to play Buffalo.► Subscribe to our Patreon Channel for exclusive information not seen or heard anywhere else and become among smartest Birds fans out there (just ask our members!!) https://www.patreon.com/insidethebirds► Sign up for our newsletter! • Visit http://eepurl.com/hZU4_n.►Support Our Sponsors!!!► Simpli Safe Home Alert System: https://simplisafe.com/BIRDS for 60% OFF!► Camden Apothecary: https://camdenapothecary.com/► Soul Out of Office Gummies: https://getsoul.com. Cole Stukenholtz & Nate Rohr discuss the Dylan Raiola transfer, his two years in Lincoln, and the next steps for Matt Rhule and Nebraska's offense. Evan Bland from the Omaha World-Herald stops by to give his analysis of the Raiola era. Evan also tells the guys what NU can learn from the Las Vegas Bowl and how the Huskers should prioritize certain positions in the transfer portal. Husker Volleyball suffered a crushing 5-set loss in the Elite 8 to Texas A&M, their only loss of the 2025 season. Cole & Nate say how they'll remember this team, and Evan reports on the incredible atmosphere in the Devaney Center. Nebraska men's basketball is ranked #15 after their buzzer-beating road win over Illinois. The team will play a couple cupcakes next before hosting Michigan State on January 2. The guys marvel at how Hoiberg built this roster on development and everyone knowing their role. Husker women are also 11-0 and nationally ranked, and will see USC on December 29. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and GBR!
In our latest Legends episode, Sašo Ivanovski speaks with Christer Dahlin, pioneer of guided bone regeneration (GBR), professor at the University of Gothenburg, and former President of the Osteology Foundation Board, to revisit the moments that shaped a remarkable career in oral regeneration. Christer reflects on the moment that sparked his fascination with guided tissue regeneration, the unexpected opportunities that brought him into the Brånemark Clinic, and the collaborations that helped transform early ideas into globally adopted concepts. From the evolution of membrane techniques to the influence of key mentors and international research hubs, he shares insights that shaped both his career and the field. He also hints at what lies ahead for GBR, and why balancing innovation with biological principles and real-world patient care remains essential. Curious? There's much more in the full conversation.
Northampton and England's Alex Coles “The Educator” looks back on the WWE-style headlock that sparked his unforgettable nickname. He breaks down the intense pressure behind pro-rugby lineout calling, relives the glory of conquering the legendary Blakiston fitness challenge, and explains how he manages to survive the daily chaos caused by teammate Henry Pollock. Alex also reveals the reason George Furbank should never leave Northampton Saints. A classic episode of GBR - and one you definitely don't want to miss. 00:00
GBR went through all the emotions from happiness to sadness. Is Nebraska a basketball school?

Next up after the finale vs Ohio State is the NCAA Tournament. The guys then turn to the not-so-fun topic of Nebraska-Iowa football, which again went the Hawkeyes' way in blowout fashion. They break down the likely next steps for the off-season, including the will-he-or-won't-he Dylan Raiola decision. Plus, transfer shopping lists for the offense and defense. Finally, basketball. Both the men and women won multi-team events and are undefeated on the season. The early stars Rienk Mast and Britt Prince have Cole & Nate optimistic about their NCAA Tournament chances for both squads. Lastly, some breaking news just as the show was ending - Connor Essegian is out for the season with an ankle injury. Tough break for the men's team as they lose a good shooter. By next Saturday, volleyball will already have started their tourney journey as they hunt for the national title. GBR!!!
