Cole Stukenholtz & Nate Rohr are back and ready to get to football and volleyball seasons. Big Ten VB Media Day was earlier this week, and Dani Busboom Kelly, Andi Jackson, and Bergen Reilly represented NU in Chicago ahead of the fourth and (maybe?) final season for the senior class of Reilly, Jackson, Harper Murray, and Laney Choboy. The guys discuss the expectations and whether they need to win it all to truly be revered in Husker history. Then, a conversation about the Blackshirt defense. Can they improve the red zone defense? Can they find sack production? Who will the leaders be? Cole & Nate break it all down. Finally, Gary Sharp from the Omaha World-Herald stops by to talk volleyball, football, and Roger Craig finally going in to the Hall of Fame. Four weeks away from college football! GBR!!

We are likely going to have a lively show for you good folks Thursday night.Fall football camp began this week, and the spotlight is on Lincoln. How is the team looking as Fall camp begins? What words of wisdom were given at Big Ten Media Days?Somehow we missed that Dr. Tom Osborne was named to the Nebraska Hall of Fame, making him the first living person to receive the honors. That came before the legend had a bit of a fall this week.Husker defenders (future Blackshirts) are calling new DC Rob Aurich a genius. Perhaps this week the trio will dive more into his coaching history and successes, and help tell the story of how he ended up in Lincoln. The Akron Zips, you remember them (68-0 last season) are raffling off the opportunity for a fan to help script the first offensive drive of their home opener. So it has us wondering what plays we would call if Nebraska ever sold that opportunity. And yeah…I think that's about the only newsworthy things that happened this week. Let us know if the comments if we missed anything.GBR. Always. Even in the face of Armageddon.

Ep 79. Transforming Britain's Railways: Cybersecurity Insights with Fortinet

RTM Podcast

Play Episode Listen Later Aug 3, 2026 39:05

In the latest episode, we delve into the monumental changes that Great British Railways (GBR) is set to bring to the UK's railway system. With the nationalisation of operations, the railway is undergoing the most significant structural change in a generation, merging various functions under one roof. This transformation raises crucial questions about cybersecurity, as the consolidation of infrastructure also means that all associated risks are now centralised. Chris Parker MBE, Director of Government Strategy UK, from Fortinet joins us to share his extensive knowledge on cybersecurity, discussing the challenges that GBR faces as it integrates signalling, ticketing, and supply chains that were previously managed by multiple companies. One of the key points raised is the importance of collaboration across sectors to tackle these challenges effectively. The railway sector is not alone in facing cybersecurity threats; industries such as healthcare and energy share similar vulnerabilities and can learn from each other's experiences. As we explore the specific changes that GBR will implement on day one, Chris highlights the need for a single security standard to streamline operations while acknowledging the potential downsides of having a single point of failure. The discussion also touches on the legacy systems that still operate within the railway, which pose significant cybersecurity risks, particularly as they converge with modern digital systems.Chris emphasises the necessity of upskilling the workforce and fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness across all levels of the organisation. With the rapid pace of technological change, the railway industry must adapt and evolve its security measures to protect against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. Listeners will gain valuable insights into the trends shaping the future of cybersecurity in the rail sector, including the importance of supply chain security and the potential for regulatory changes that may enforce stricter cybersecurity measures. The conversation serves as a reminder that cybersecurity is a shared responsibility, and collaboration is essential to ensure the safety and security of the railway network. Hosted on Acast.
