With just five weeks until the BYU Cougars tip off the 2025‑26 season, the stage is set—and the non‑conference slate is nothing short of ambitious. The season officially begins with an exhibition game at Nebraska on October 18, followed by marquee matchups including North Carolina, Villanova, Wisconsin, UConn, and more. Mitch Harper and Kyle Ireland break down what’s new: returning stars, early experiments in the lineup, how AJ Dybantsa and others could impact the team, and why this schedule matters more than ever as BYU looks to build on last season’s Sweet 16 run.
Road Traffic Infringement Authority (RTIA) is set to rollout the Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences system (AARTO) to 69 municipalities across the country on December 1 this year. This it says is an effort to curb the high number of road fatalities in the country. Most sections of the act will come into effect in major municipalities across the country on December 1, 2025, followed by the remaining municipalities on April 1, 2026. The remaining sections of the AARTO Act (26 to 28), which includes the demerit points, are set to take effect on September 1, 2026. For more on this, Bongiwe Zwane spoke to Monde Mkalipi, Spokesperson for the Road Traffic Infringement Authority (RTIA)
Send us a textI'm back from vacation and feeling... different. You know that feeling when you step away from your routine and suddenly realize what you didn't even know you were missing? In this episode, I'm sharing some honest reflections about what two weeks with extended family across Europe reminded me about balance, relationships, and why we high-achieving women sometimes forget we're whole human beings with needs beyond our businesses. What we talk about:Why I look at balance on a yearly basis (not daily)The family time, I didn't realize I was cravingMy COVID commute revelation and what it taught me about hidden stressHow one client went from 60-hour weeks to weekends off without losing incomeWhy planning your life first, then your business around it, actually worksThe friendship factor most entrepreneurs ignoreThis isn't a structured episode with frameworks or action steps. It's just me, still in vacation mode, sharing what's on my mind. Sometimes the most important insights come from these unplanned conversations.Next week we're diving deep into time management strategies, but today? Just some thoughts from a coach who remembered she's human too.
Bill can walk us through what the final 2 weeks look like in practice before the season starts, but we do know there are still battles going on at left tackle and right tackle, though they appear to be Elijah Pritchett and Teddy Prochazka.. Dr. Jo Braid announces a two-week pause from podcast recording while travelling with family, demonstrating the four pillars of burnout recovery in action. She explains how this intentional break embodies connection by prioritizing deep family relationships, sleep through allowing her nervous system to truly rest, movement as joyful rather than obligatory, and mindset by releasing guilt around stepping away. Dr. Braid shares how the old version of herself would have felt guilty about this break, but now recognizes that taking intentional pauses isn't abandoning her mission of helping healthcare professionals - it's modelling sustainable well-being. She reminds listeners that recovery sometimes means putting down all the tools and simply being present with yourself and loved ones.Resources:Get started with burnout recovery here: drjobraid.com/podmapdrjobraid.comwww.instagram.com/burnoutrecoverydrwww.linkedin.com/in/drjobraidMusic, Mental Health and Wellbeing tickets:events.humanitix.com/music-mental-health-and-wellbeing I acknowledge that I create this podcast on the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri people, who have been the custodians of this land around Orange, New South Wales, for thousands of generations. The parent company of Philadelphia’s Independence Blue Cross posted a NET LOSS for the first time in nearly a decade last year. That means the nonprofit spent more on healthcare costs than it collected in insurance premiums. The trade war between the U.S. and China is knocking on the door of the fast-fashion industry. Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo from the PG joined the show. Ray doesn't think the Steelers missed out on trading for Joe Milton this morning and thinks they could draft a similar player later this month. Ray expects the Steelers to draft a QB whether or not they get Aaron Rodgers. Ray isn't very impressed with this draft class of QBs. Ray doesn't see the Steelers using the 21st pick on RB unless Ashton Jeanty falls there. Ray still feels pretty confident the Steelers will take a DL in the opening round, which is 3 weeks away. The guys asked about the meeting with Aaron Rodgers and if they included anything about his current targets. Ray is still adamant that the Steelers want to get back into the 2nd round, the pick they traded for DK Metcalf. The guys asked Ray if there was anything knew with Rodgers. Which middle round QB would be best fit for what the Steelers do?
