On June 18th, a shooting at an unsanctioned party at an empty office building in downtown St. Louis left 11 teens injured and one 17-year-old dead, sparking outrage and calls for action to address youth violence. Two St. Louis teens, Justin Boyle and Jeremiah Miller, say they need more than extended hours at recreation centers to feel safe, and they share their lived experiences as young Black men as they offer ideas on ways local leaders can better engage young people about preventing violence.

On Today's Monday Motivation, Corry discusses HOW THINGS HAPPEN FOR US with Jeremiah Miller. Jeremiah Miller is a leadership coach and the founder of Forging Leaders. For the last 13 years, he has worked with business owners, executives, and other leaders to change the bad behaviors that keep them and their organizations stuck. Jeremiah lives with his wife, Andrea, and 5-year old son, Gable, in Roseville, California. Jeremiah is also a co-founder of a non-profit company called Forging Disciples. Forging Disciples works to expand one-on-one biblical discipleship in the greater Sacramento area. They can be found at www.forgingdisciples.org.
This program begins with the Celestial Symphony itself. Jeremiah has expanded beyond what he call orthodox Christianity to discuss experiences he has had that the church could not explain for him. He asked God what is true, what is not. He investigated the lost books of the Bible found in the Nag Hamadi. There he found expressions of ancient people's personal experience of the Divine - emotional, feelings, thoughts they were trying to understand. These were messages of the heart that we all have the ability to hear, if we listen. There is so much more that we are just beginning to understand. Start with the 7 minutes of the Celestial Symphony and go beyond from there. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/susan-sherayko/support

This week on SciFi TV Rewatch we discuss the showdown between Bill Boone and Jeremiah Miller and whether Lucas begins a redemption arc after releasing Cleo. In our What We're Watching segment, Dave explains his journey discovering the pop music phenomenon Billie Eilish and vows to watch something with Kristen Stewart. Wayne continues with The Americans but still makes time for the 2019 films Blinded by the Light and Terminator: Dark Fate. Jeremiah Miller is a playwright in Pennsylvania who recently had his first stage reading of his new production, Guilty Parties of New Orleans. The play is a dramatic response to Oliver Stone's JFK (1991) and a far more accurate version of history. I hope it will be widely seen in the future because it is clearly still relevant to the fake news/alternative facts environment of today.
Jeremiah Miller’s play, Guilty Parties of New Orleans, will be given a staged reading with seasoned actors this coming Friday night, April 28th, at Community Mennonite Church, as part of the Theater of the Seventh Sister Spoken Word series. It largely deals with the trial of Clay Laverne Shaw, a New Orleans businessman who was the only person ever officially prosecuted in connection with the 1963 assassination of John F. Kennedy.Miller collaborated with researcher David Reitzes to recreate as yet undramatized scenes surrounding the 1967 trial of Clay Shaw, which was prosecuted by New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison.Music by Nick Peterson.http://samschindler.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/WWWA_039_042517.mp3DOWNLOAD this episodeSUBSCRIBE to this podcast See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Today’s guest is Jeremiah Miller, founder of Forging Leaders, who in 2009 started his journey out by doing speaking engagements and writing articles when ever the opportunity presented itself. Eventually, in 2010 he was able to quit his 9 to 5 and pursue his passion of helping to make other leaders great. In this interview we discuss the following questions and topics: How accountability is one of your biggest assets in building a company? Why is the greatest fear we have rejection? And how to over come it. How to convert your business plan into a strategic plan? How to avoid crisis moments with employees and give quality feedback? How to build allies who believe in your purpose enough to sacrifice for you? How to get buy-in from employees and co-workers? Why you should envision building a business as a game and develop a strategy around that game. How do leadership, athletics and grit relate? (my personal favorite part!) If you'd like to contact Jeremiah Miller you can find him on Twitter @ForgingLeaders or on Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/forgingleaders/?fref=ts
In episode 024, Jeremiah Miller, founder of Forging Leaders, talks about how he overcame losing all of his businesses, his homes, and beating depression to become one of the countries leading experts in helping you attack fear and become the most powerful version of yourself.
