What is Jesus really looking for in His people? Jesus' final days of earthly ministry highlights His grief and fury when He went to the place of worship. He toppled tables and literally threw worshipers out of the temple. WHAT? What does the Lord see that believers miss? Text: Mark 11: 14-26 Click Here to view this entire worship service.

Jesus "sees Peter for the first time." That is, at a certain moment in history, Jesus' physical eyes physically laid eyes upon Peter for the first time. It was a big moment. Figuaratively, Jesus' eyes never left Peter from that day forward. However it was a BUMPY ROAD going forward. Similarly, I think Jesus will lay his physical eyes upon me. I think I will have a resurrected body somehow with some eyes, so I will SEE HIM SEE ME. I can't wait. It should be a stunning moment. I probably won't be able to stand up, nor will I want to.Peter gets a new name. We refer to him by his new name: Peter, Cephas, ROCK. He was Simon before. But Peter, for at least three years of having this great new name, was anything but a rock. Rather than, "I name you KNUCKLEHEAD, or HOTHEAD, or Mr. ENTHUSIASTIC" Jesus instead sees all the way to Peter's mature state and names him ROCK. Just read 1st and 2nd Peter. You'll see a "different" person than the gospels describe. Let's stand in wonder about that moment today. Share this podcast with someone who cannot see today...

"How well do we know Jesus, or do we just know about Jesus? After we apply the understanding to what "know" means in context, it will help us with the next question we will address. Do we really love Jesus? Looking at some scripture and applying it to our lives can be difficult and challenging. Jesus didn't attempt to give us the "fast pass" to just go to the front of the line. His disciples learned things just like everyone else does, through experience, difficulties, trials and problems. We all need to know how much He loves us.
This morning at our #SundayCelebration service, Pastor Art brought forth a check to see what kind of fruit we are bearing to Christ!
In this episode we discuss the first step of looking unto Jesus, namely looking away from everything else.
The Marlow vision for 2020 is for us all to go deeper with God together. We are called to be Jesus-Looking mirrors; to love God and others; and to transform ‘one by one’. What is your 'show and tell', and are you ready to share it?

In this message, Dr. David Jordan shares from Mark 10:46-52 and asks the questions: What does it mean to be called by Jesus? Looking at the story of blind Bartimaeus in Mark 10:46-52, we learn how Jesus uses crowd psychology to shift our perspective on those around us so we might turn and say to them, “Take heart, get up, Jesus is calling you!” — FBC Decatur is a vibrant and progressive community of faith located in the heart of Decatur, GA. Jesus is looking for someone going out of his way to set someone free. Is it you?
Spring is in the air, and this week we launch a four-week series called “The Savior” which will be our focus for the Easter season. In this series, we will be looking at one of the fundamental questions of our Christian faith: Who is Jesus? As you prepare for worship, take a few moments to read Colossians 1:15-23. Ask yourself, according to this passage, who is Jesus? Looking forward to seeing you this Sunday. Remember to come early—worship boldly—and be friendly.
Mark 11:11-25 - What Is Jesus Looking For?
Jesus is the perfect revelation of God’s true nature. Jesus doesn’t merely reveal part of what God is like. Rather, the fullness of God was in and revealed through Jesus (Colossians 1:19; 2:9). As Jesus himself tells us, when we see him, we see the very character of the Father (John 14:7-9). From his incarnation, to his ministry, death and ascension, Jesus reveals the truth that God’s nature is other-oriented, non-violent, self-sacrificial love. All of our thinking about God, our reading and teaching of Scripture, and our life as a community of disciples making disciples must be done through the lens of Jesus’ own life and teaching.
Aldersgate United Methodist Church (Bellevue, WA) Weekly Sermons
What makes God mad? As Jesus clears the temple and judges the fig tree it's clear that fruitless religion is right up there. Jesus lifts the leaves and looks for the fruit of dependence on him, mission and intimacy with him.
When you peer into the mirror each morning what do you see? Who do you see? Do you see a child of God? Do you see someone created in the image of God? To whom do we belong? That is the question we must struggle with each day.
Find Faith - What is Jesus Looking For?
Rev. John Birkett on Luke 21:5-38
Looking at children can tell you a lot about their parents, so what can we learn about God by looking at Jesus? Looking at Jesus' healing of the paralysed man, we find a God who cares more about what's going on inside than out, who doesn't need to be told anything because he knows where we are at and what's going on in our lives already.
