If you've been anywhere near a circuit event in the last 20 years, you've no doubt danced to the uplifting, hi-energy, diva rousing productions of Wayne G The man has single-handedly re-worked some of the most iconic gay anthems of the past two decades. From Kylie to Cher, Wayne's remixes are designed to make us move, sweat and revel in our own gayness. Some of his most notable anthems are from Australian singer and gay ally Shauna Jensen whose massive voice can get the party started — even in the smallest of venues. If you had to make any comparisons of his work — that honor would be to Hex Hector who was given his own multi-set tribute many years ago. Both employed the epic anthem that built layer upon layer before dropping from exhaustion only to pick right back up. These mixes are fairly long clocking in at 8+ minutes. I took a scalpel to many of the songs to keep the party moving along in coherence with today's listening expectations. Wayne's induction into the Party Favorz Legacy Series was already pre-planned but expedited when one of our followers requested it and sent over some rare tracks that even I didn't have. While I couldn't use everything as his back catalog is extensive — I used enough in this massive tribute to get everyone up on their feet and praise the DJ gods. Please take notice that two of the tracks "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera and "I'm Outta Love" by Anastacia are rare bootlegs and appear to be in mono. I could not secure full stereo-quality productions but the remixes are so good — they had to be included for posterity's sake. It is my sincerest pleasure to honor the very talented work of the masterful Wayne G with his own tribute for excellence in dance music production as well as his massive contributions to the gay experience that will last a lifetime. Oh, HAPPY GAY DAYS are here again! It's the Memorial Day Holiday weekend, the last Monday of May and the official kick-off to June Pride Month!  There are a whole host of gay happenings this weekend throughout the U.S. most notably in Pensacola, the one place to be if you're on the east coast.  The official Gay Days in Orlando kicks-off on June 3rd and it appears this year they are expanding the brand to include Ft. Lauderdale and Las Vegas (the latter increasingly becoming a very gay destination for us gay folk). In an effort to ensure you have everything you need this weekend, Party Favorz is putting out a set of tribal-lust that's certain to get you all pumped up for whatever your plans are this weekend. The adorable Jason Walker kicks the set off with his remake of the Taylor Dayne classic Tell It To My Heart, a song that is so steeped in 80s dance it would be hard to imagine anyone tackling this song and making it fresh but leave it to Jason to pull it off.  Toy Armada and DJ Grind who have been spitting out a dizzying whirl of fresh productions take the prize with their big room circuit rendition of the song.  Though, I have to give major props to DJ Yiannis who delivers an 80s revival with a millennial twist in his production. Andy Bell, one half of Erasure puts out a fresh original with Dave Aude at the helm that's destined for big things on the dance floor this summer season.  Ralphi Rosario gives the song his signature electro-tribe feel but watch out for Australia's duo Denzal Park who pack in a massive EDM production, which is going to appear on our set coming out next weekend. Danny Verde is still keeping things strong with two fresh mash-ups; one from Queen Madonna's Vogue and the other with the CeCe Peniston house classic Finally.  Our good friend Joel Dickinson also put out his own Pride mix of Finally, which is equally good and may very well find it's way onto an upcoming Pride Classic set coming your way very soon. Matt Consola who is all over the place these days brings us no less than three burners, which washes down like an ice-cold beer on a hot summer day.  One of my biggest delights and surprise finds is Division 4 (formerly Red Tape) who works with Matt on a couple of songs but more importantly, has a HUGE library of amazing 80s and 90s reworks on his SoundCloud page.  It's a wonder how he's been kept a secret for so long.  These mixes are parked right next to his excellent productions of current hits so you can trust when I say you'll be seeing more of his work on this site in future sets. For those that may have missed my Gay Pride Classics sets over the past couple of years, they are officially getting re-posted later today.  I went back and made some minor changes to two of them and some major changes to one of them that I can pretty much guarantee that those who already have them, won't want to miss out on. There are so many variations of the Winter Edition cover I could have gone with this year.  Given the controversy surrounding the Gay Olympics this year, Sochi would have been an obvious choice as would Mardi Gras. For that matter, the massive cold weather we've experienced this year as both poles of the earth becomes warmer the colder air filters down into the Americas but that's not very sexy. There are so many variations of the Winter Edition cover I could have gone with this year.  Given the controversy surrounding the Gay Olympics this year, Sochi would have been an obvious choice as would Mardi Gras. For that matter, the massive cold weather we've experienced this year as both poles of the earth becomes warmer the colder air filters down into the Americas but that's not very sexy. It's that time of year again when outdoor temperatures become more moderate and we begin to shed unnecessary layers of clothing that were used to shield us from the harsh elements of a cold winter. It's a time when mother nature blankets the earth with her afterbirth in the form of a neon green powder, which wreaks havoc on our respiratory system. Yes, folks, it's time for the Spring Edition. With all the belly-aching I had over trying to pull this set together, it appears it was much ado about nothing. Once I sat down and focused, it was clear my problem was “too many” songs and trying to make everything work. So I went back, pulled out a few and then everything seemingly fell into its rightful place. This is one solid set that rocks it from start to finish. No need to go on and on about the songs contained herein because I am promising a surefire pleasing trip down circuit-land. I'm already putting together the next EDM set, which will likely be followed by another funky house and they may just take some time off to start on what will be a HUGE Pride series schedule for the month of June.
