Just one month to go before Pride month kicks off in June, but before that, we need to discuss the May '25 edition of UP! I wanted a balance of house/pop tracks to open the set, then moving into some big room bangers to close it out. The set kicks of with the smooth StoneBridge mix of "Dance In The Dark" and rolls into Ed Sheeran's latest "Azizam". I used a track by Hollway on my last episode which I really liked and then found a bunch more of his on Beatport. I really like his music and the fabulous Andy Allder has mixed a number of his tracks including "I Need To Know". Dario Xavier features three remixes here for Becky Hill (a different style for him), Benson Boone and Jordan Firstman. Mark from Dirty Disco gives his signature uplifting energy to Gaga's "Abracadabra" as do Toy Armada and Jace M on Jules Liesl's "Cherry". The set closes out with big room mixes for Lola Young and Katy Perry respectively. The May edition should definitely keep you UP! and moving until Pride rolls around. EnjoyAnthony1/ "DANCE IN THE DARK" (StoneBridge Classic Club Mix) - KENDRA ERIKA2/ "AZIZAM" (Jacked Remix) - ED SHEERAN3/ "I NEED TO KNOW" (Andy Allder Remix) - HOLLWAY4/ "NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE" (Morlando Remix) - DAYBREAKERS ft. Here we are with the all male vocal edition of Men - Mardi Gras Men. I wanted to get this done before the actual main party weekend but I had so much going on, I had to push it back further in the month. This coming of age 20th edition of Men wastes no time in getting into it. The set kicks off with the awesome remix of "My Universe" by Coldplay from my good friend Rob of Division 4 and then swings into the funky sound of "Good Times". 7th Heaven feature three remixes here. The first is for Guy Sebastian's "Battle Scars". Guy is one of my all time favourite male vocalists. He won the first season of Australian Idol and he's voice is sublime. I've met him a couple of times through work and he is an absolute delight. If you're not familiar with his music (he writes all of his songs), then check him out. I've also met Adam Turner a few times in London and he is also a delight. He is the lead vocalist on the song "Amazing" featured here. He is also a music producer and his remixes are awesome. I've know Wayne G. for years and he is so much fun. He throws in two beautiful mixes for Bruno Mars and Darren Hayes respectively and then we're off into the big room sound. Robbie Carrigan is producing some amazing remixes (check out his Soundcloud page) and here he delivers a top notch mix of "Send Me An Angel" by Real Life - another Australian band from the 80's. Toy Armada & DJ GRIND deliver two anthems for Hardwell and R5 respectively and how could I not include any set without a couple of stand out mixes from DJ Mark De Lang of Dirty Disco. Here he works his magic on "I Feel Love" and "Stay". The set closes out with another beautiful 7th Heaven remix for boy band A1. The men absolutely rule in this pumping set. EnjoyAnthony1/ "MY UNIVERSE" (Division 4 Remix) - COLDPLAY ft. BTS2/ "GOOD TIME" (Whelan & Di Scala Remix) - WHEELS & DISCO ft. This month's edition of UP! has a joyous blend of house and club anthems from artists such as Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Taylor Swift and Kylie Minogue. There are also some big remixes from the likes of Division 4, Dirty Disco, Dave Audé, James Hype and Toy Armada & Jace M. Mardi Gras hits Sydney on the first weekend of March this year and I'll not only be celebrating a decade of Mardi Gras Anthems but also turning 60... (should I even be celebrating that??). In the mean time, get into the house/club vibes of the February '25 edition of UP! Welcome to 2025. This January edition is a little slow getting into production. I've been on annual leave in January and have been doing a bit of traveling in Australia and before I knew it, half of the month had disappeared. I'm also in the process of gearing UP! for a big event birthday for me coming UP! in March this year (more on that later). This episode of UP! is packed full of house and club goodies for your listening pleasure. Included are several mixes fro Division 4 and Dirty Disco and as always I am grateful for everything that Robert (Division 4) and Mark (Dirty Disco) do. You can now purchase Robert's remixes directly from his new website - Division 4 Music. Check it out and grab yourself some amazing remixes. There are also remixes from Dave Audé, Claptone, Toy Armada, Henriq Moraes, Roberto Ferrari, Tommer Mizrahi, Toy Armada and Russ Rich & Andy Allder. The January '25 edition of UP! is primed and ready to dance you into the New Year. EnjoyAnthony1/ "MOVIN' TOO FAST" (Jack Wins Remix) - SHERMANOLOGY2/ "CALM DOWN" (Division 4 Remix) - REMA ft. The October '24 edition of UP! has uplifting pop anthems and thumping club anthems. The set kicks off with Sabrina Carpenter's "Taste" and runs into the sublime Division 4 cover of "Young Hearts Run Free". There are a couple of chunky house tracks from Illyus & Barrientos and Preston Wayne respectively before hitting 3 back to back Dirty Disco remixes. I'm very excited to hear Kylie Minogue's new album Tension II and if the lead single "Lights Camera Action" is any indication, it's gonna be huge. HenriqMoraes turns in 2 power mixes for Billie Eilish and Becky Hill respectively and the always amazing Toy Armada & Jace M work their magic on Lady Gaga's "Is That Alright". The set closes out with a classic Nina Sky track from the Naughties. Summer is on it's way in the south of the globe and I can't wait. EnjoyAnthony1/ "TASTE" (Apollo Remix) - SABRINA CARPENTER2/ "YOUNG HEARTS RUN FREE" (Original Club Mix) - DIVISION 43/ "GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF" (Until Dawn Club Mix) - CHESNEY HAWKES4/ "D.A.N.C.E" (Original Club Mix) - ILLYUS & BARRIENTOS5/ "F ME BETTER" (Dave Audé Club Mix) - PRESTON WAYNE ft. This set is structured a bit differently from past efforts. We typically utilize key mixing for our podcasts, allowing for smoother transitions and a more pleasant listening experience. However, in this episode, the keys aligned perfectly, enabling us to load most of the Tea Dance-style tracks upfront before transitioning into the big circuit tribal beats you're accustomed to. Think of it as a slow build to the big room sound. Don't be fooled though, there's fire from the beginning. We have several notable entries, including the Superchumbo remix of the 80s gay anthem classic "Why" by Bronski Beat featuring a guest vocal by Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys. This was released in conjunction with a newly remastered and expanded edition of their queer classic "Age of Consent" album, a coming-of-age album for young queers in the early 80s. That song is quickly followed up by a remake of Madonna's "Into the Groove" by Drew G, surprisingly released around the same time as the Bronski Beat album in the 80s. Drew transforms the original dance groove into a big room scorcher, reimagining the song for late-night circuit audiences. There are countless Madonna remakes, but this version is truly one for the history books. Since we're on 80s throwbacks, Jace M & Toy Armada deliver the unexpected "Heaven Is a Place on Earth" by Belinda Carlisle. A proud LGBTQ+ community supporter and gay icon, Carlisle (of Go-Go's fame) shines in this remix. Jace and Toy's signature big room anthem style turns the giant pop song into a sweeping, hypnotic sing-along that captures the original's spirit. Don't miss it. Of course, we've got a plethora of new material from the diva of the moment, Chappell Roan, as well as Katy Perry, Kesha, Hayla, Anne-Marie, and the always fabulous Kylie Minogue (more on her in a moment). This set also features new and reworked songs from Gen X and Millennial divas like Erin Hamilton (RIP), Miss Suzanne Palmer, Anastacia, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Antoinette Roberson. As you can see, we've packed this set to the gills with old and new favorites that are bound to fuel your workouts for months to come. We had promised to deliver several reworked Diva Hall of Fame episodes but decided to cut it down to one. There seems to be a lack of appreciation for our work, and frankly, I'm not draining my bank account for folk's listening pleasure that refuse to support our efforts. The next release will be the long-overdue update for Kylie Minogue. It will be private and available only to those who've supported us since April — no matte...

The August '24 edition of UP! hits hard from start to finish. Kicking off the set is the awesome Tony Moran remix of "Keep You Waiting" by Max Rae. Tony Moran features another excellent remix later in the set for KRU & Cha Cha Malone. We lost an iconic diva recently with the passing of Evelyn Thomas. She was huge in the club scene particularly in the 80's and 90's with hits like High Energy and Reflections. I've included her later hit "Stick To The Plan" with a brilliant Wayne G & Porl Young remix. The always amazing Dirty Disco features two killer mixes for Chappell Roan and Kesha respectively. Henriq Moraes is turning out some excellent circuit remixes and there are three of his featured here. Becky Hill's "Outside Of love" is one of my favourite songs this year. Toy Armada & Jace M deliver a stellar remix of "Shy Boy" by Carly Rae Jepsen and Kylie Minogue teams up with The Blessed Madonna on "Edge Of Saturday Night". Russ Rich and Andy Allder produce yet another beautiful remix for Taylor Swift's latest, "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" to close out this month's edition of UP! The July '24 edition of UP! kicks off with some chunky house tracks then moves into main room and big room club sounds. Starting off is a fantastic Gospel house track from Revival Collective. Division 4 has covered the classic Sheryl Crow song "Soak Up The Sun" with an excellent remix from Daddies Home! It's great to hear some new music from Suzanne Palmer, a vocalist famous particularly in the 90's and 2000's. Kylie Minogue has teamed up with Orville Peck and Diplo on a thumping new track "Midnight Run". Dirty Disco does the remix honors here along with two other tracks from Vanessa Williams and Becky Hill respectively. Russ Rich & Andy Allder turn in a beautiful remix of Taylor Swift's latest "My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys". Henriq Moraes, Toy Armada & Jace M complete the big room duties on tracks from Rita Ora, Loreen, John Summit and Camila Carbello. The energy levels never drop on this slamming edition of UP! I didn't realize that it has been six weeks since I posted my last episode. A mistake I've remedied with the (slightly late) April 2024 edition of UP! This set starts off with a string of commercial vocal house hits and transitions into full on main room madness. Kicking off the set is Ryan Skyy's original song "Never Right" followed by Liza Jane's "Sacrifice". It's great to hear some new music from Chris Willis on his collaboration track "Eyes Wide Open". Until Dawn & Division 4 deliver some punchy remixes along with Tony Moran and Toy Armada. The amazing Dirty Disco turns out two stellar remixes for Dua Lipa and Beyonce` respectively and Roland Belmares delivers a floor stomping remix on Ariana Grande's "We Can't Be Friends". Continuing the main room sound are remixes from Henriq Moraes and Jace M. The set closes out with the killer duet track "Dance Alone" from Sia & Kylie Minogue. Grab a slice of this vocal house and club pie. There's plenty to go around. EnjoyAnthony1/ "NEVER RIGHT" (Original Remix) - RYAN SKYY2/ "SACRIFICE" (StoneBridge Remix) - LIZA JANE3/ "EYES WIDE OPEN" (Original Club Mix) - JAMES CHRIS ft. Here we are at the end of the year and this December '23 edition of UP! just manages to slide in before the New Year. I'd like to say that it was my intention but in all honesty, I was distracted by Xmas, multiple friends December birthdays and the looming presence of the approaching new year. This set wastes no time in getting into it with some thumping house tracks kicking off with the excellent David Guetta/Kim Petras collaboration "When We Were Young" mixed by Apollo. I pulled a classic Division 4 track from a few years back which I forgot I had. "Clap Your Hands" has some great samples from Whitney's "My Love Is Your Love". Ray Isaac Turns in a killer mix of Paloma Faith's "How To Leave A Man" as do Stephen Jusko & DJ Blacklow on Chappell Roan's "Pink Pony Club". Mark from Dirty Disco delivers three more outstanding remixes here for Tate McRae, Cactushead and Barry Huffine ft. Zhana Roiya respectively. Toy Armada & Jace M work their magic on Ed Sheerans' "Eyes Closed" and Brazilian DJ/Producer Henriq Moraes has three featured remixes here for Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and Calvin Harris ft. Sam Smith. I'm really liking his style and there are several great remixes he has produced for classic divas which will definitely be appearing on my Mardi Gras anthems in March next year. The set closes out with Luin's punchy remix of Kylie Minogue's "Vegas High". I hope everyone had a great Xmas and here's wishing you all a safe and Happy New Year. This edition of Essential Taylor Swift took months to put together and is the culmination of her musical career up until the time of publishing. Unlike the previous 2 editions which were loosely chronological in track listing, this edition covers the whole span of her career but in no particular order. Admittedly there are fewer songs from her early years but there a very few remixes of her earlier music that I could find. Her Era's World Tour is in full swing and is on track to become the highest grossing tour by any artist in the world. I didn't even try to get tickets for her Australian tour dates. I thought I'd save myself that disappointment and be satisfied seeing the movie :) She has released some high quality music since my last edition in 2021 so naturally, I was keen to get the club remixes which I knew would be awesome overall. This Era's edition features remixes from Ray Isaac, Ryan Skyy, Optical Disco, Barry Harris, CLX, Dark Intensity, Joe Gauthreaux, Brett Oosterhaus, Jasmin, Dario Xavier and Toy Armada & Jace M. I would like to give special thanks to Russ Rich & Andy Allder, Division 4 and Mark De Lang of Dirty Disco. I badgered them all for new remixes that they might have been hiding and being the extremely generous people they are, they provided me with some advance and private remixes. The Best Of series continues with a mega anthology of three DJ/producers who's work I have loved for the better part of a decade now. I'm talking about the incredible Toy Armada, DJ GRIND and more recently, Jace M. Toy Armada hails from the Philippines and started his DJ career at the age of 23. He held residencies at major clubs in Manila and as far as I know, he still resides there. Starting his producing career in 2010, it really took off when he met his long time collaborator DJ GRIND in 2012. They became immensely popular on the world circuit party scene and began playing at venues around the world at some of the biggest circuit and Pride parties. I had the pleasure of meeting them both in Sydney in 2018 when they were playing at a party called DayWash. I only decided to go last minute so wasn't aware of the DJ lineup. Whilst on the dance floor, I said to my friend that the DJ likes playing a lot of Toy Armada & DJ GRIND remixes. He looked at me and said 'that's because they are playing you idiot'. Naturally I made a beeline for the DJ booth and introduced myself. They were both very pleasant and very humble while I fan girled over them. I haven't been able to find a lot of info on DJ GRIND as there hasn't been a lot of activity on his podomatic or Facebook page since 2020. Toy Armada has also collaborated with Tommy Love and Mauro Mozart. Jace M is originally from Washington DC and began DJ'ing in 2002. Moving to Detroit, he started up a number of events which are still running today. His collaborations with Toy Armada continue the theme of massive, thunderous big room circuit anthems. Between the three of them they have remixed and produced for some of the world's biggest recording artists including Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson, Lady Gaga, Ella Henderson, Loren Allred, Adele, Cher, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, P!nk and of course, Kylie Minogue just to name a few. Featured here are 30 of their greatest remixes spanning three hours and a decade - my love letter to Toy Armada & DJ GRIND & Jace M. Here finally (just like Spring) comes the September '23 edition of UP! This edition is filled with floor fillers ranging from commercial house tracks right through to big room bangin' anthems. The set kicks off with Beverley Knight's new song "Last One On My Mind" and rolls into Tom Grennan's "Remind Me". This guy has an amazing voice if you're not familiar with him. Russ Rich & Andy Allder's original track "Be Your Strength" is an uplifting anthem and demonstrates their ability to hit a home run for the dance floor. Dirty Disco features four remixes here for Selena Gomez, LP, Jake Shears and Rita Ora. The man can do no wrong in my opinion. Chimira covers Carly Simon's classic "You're So Vain" mixed by 7th Heaven who also feature a remix for Fidget Spinners. Toy Armada & Jace M deliver two killer mixes for Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift respectively and a funky house mix of Kylie's new song "Tension" comes from Bearly Disco. I was sad to hear of the passing of Sinead O'Connor last month so I put her classic "Nothing Compares 2 U" on here, beautifully mixed by Dario Xavier. My good friend Deb celebrated her birthday on the 15th of this month and sticking with tradition, the September edition of UP! is dedicated to her. You're old now :) EnjoyAnthony1/ "LAST THING ON MY MIND" (Moto Blanco Club Mix) - BEVERLEY KNIGHT2/ "REMIND ME" (Ben Rainey Remix) - TOM GRENNAN3/ "BE YOUR STRENGTH" (Original Club Mix) - RUSS RICH & ANDY ALLDER4/ "INDESTRUCTIBLE" (Cutmore Remix) - SHAB5/ "YOU'RE SO VAIN" (7th Heaven Club Mix) - CHIMIRA6/ "SINGLE SOON" (Dirty Disco Pillowbiters Remix) - SELENA GOMEZ7/ "GOLDEN" (Dirty Disco Pure Love House Remix) - LP8/ "ECUADOR" (MY HEART WENT BOOM) (7th Heaven Club Mix) - FIDGET SPINNERS9/ "TENSION" (Bearly Disco Club Mix) - KYLIE MINOGUE10/ "100% PURE LOVE" (JNR Club Mix) - HAZELL DEAN11/ "THIS IS FIRE" (Original Club Mix) - JET BOOT JACK12/ "VOICES" (Dirty Disco Mainroom Remix) - JAKE SHEARS13/ "USED TO BE YOUNG" (Toy Armada & Jace M Remix) - MILEY CYRUS14/ "NOTHING COMPARES 2 U" (Dario Xavier Remix) - SINEAD O'CONNER15/ "HAUNTED" (Toy Armada & Jace M Remix) - TAYLOR SWIFT16/ "TATTOO" (VMC & Yerko Molina Remix) - LOREEN17/ "YOU AND I" (Dirty Disco Mainroom Remix) - RITA ORA

This time, the beat is wild, and the rhythm is tribal. We're here to take you on a sonic adventure that has everything from nostalgia to the latest big tribal house hits. We kick things off with a heart-rending tribute mix dedicated to an icon whose recent loss is still a heavy weight on our hearts. Who can forget the magnetic song "Nothing Compares 2 U" from 1990? Well, Israel's Tomer Maizner has turned this tear-jerker into an enormous big room remix. It's a tribute that manages to honor the original while turning it into a colossal sing-a-long for the broken-hearted. Not to be left behind, Kylie Minogue's unstoppable summer hit "Padam Padam" is transformed into a big room sensation by Toy Armada, an artist known for his creativity and flair. The essence of circuit tribal house is alive and well, especially with collaborations like the one between Toy Armada and Jace M on hits like "Alone" by Kim Petras, featuring Nicki Minaj. Their combination delivers a force that resonates with the dance floor, leaving everyone craving more. But what's a summer without some classics reinvented? Guy Scheiman makes a triumphant return with a progressive remake of Donna Summer's "Hot Stuff," while Dario Xavier adds his unique touch to current hits and classic Eurodance sensations. These sounds, rich with the essence of circuit anthems, will have you dancing like never before. Party Favorz's commitment to innovation is also reflected in our efforts to blend the Circuit & Anthem series with our Tea Dance collections. The goal? To enhance the listening experience without becoming repetitive. And when we call upon our creative geniuses like Jace M & Toy Armada, they rise to the challenge. The mantle of remix duty, once filled by the likes of Hex Hector, Almighty, and 7th Heaven, now proudly resides with Dirty Disco, creating floor-stompers that are original and mesmerizing. Our love for the dance floor goes beyond one style, as Dirty Disco brings gems like Rita Ora's "You and I" and "GODDESS" by Keeana Kee and Ariana Castelli. These tracks encapsulate the spirit of the LGBTQ community, uplifting and empowering. Keep an eye on DJs like Ray Isaac, who's taken his game to a whole new level. With remixes of Eurovision winners and potential pop superstars, Isaac shows that Dirty Disco isn't the only game in town, as he carves a niche for himself in the world of circuit anthems and circuit tribal house.

Here we are in August - last month of summer in the northern hemisphere and thankfully the last month of winter here in Australia. This month's edition of UP! contains some funky house tracks as well as some big room bangers. The set kicks off with a great track "Movin' On" by Hot M3ss and moves into another great house track "Love Shine" by Silverland. A big thank you to Matt Consola at Swishcraft Music for all of the great promo material he has been releasing. Dannii Minogue has a great new song "We Could Be The One" and David Guetta teams up with Anne-Marie to put their spin on Haddaway's "What is Love". Swedish artist Loreen won the Eurovision Song Contest again this year (after winning in 2012) with her song "Tattoo" remixed here by DJ Mark. The always awesome Dirty Disco has two remixes featured here for Troye Sivan and Taylor Swift respectively. JetFire does a great job covering Rihanna's "Disturbia" and Toy Armada turns in a great remix of the classic Shawn Christopher song "Another Sleepless Night". Guy Scheiman delivers a stand out mix of "Lovin' You More" by Steve Mac. The set closes out with the Roland Belmares mix of Lewis Capaldi's "Wish you The Best". Get into the end of summer or winter, wherever you happen to be in the world with the August '23 edition of UP!. EnjoyAnthony1/ "MOVIN' ON" (Original Club Mix) - HOT M3SS ft. Pride month may be over but July carries on with world wide parties and celebrations. I would like to add July's edition of UP! to the festivities. This set is jam packed with uplifting house and club anthems to keep the party going. Kicking it off is the Sonny Federa & Ella Henderson collaboration "Like I Used To" followed by Australia's own Ricki-Lee with her new single "On My Own". Producer Jolyon Petch remixes this song as well as his own track "Make A Move". Australian producer Nick Jay delivers a killer remix of Australian diva Tina Arena's 90's hit "I Need Your Body" which I meant to put on last month's Pride Anthems but completely forgot. (I'm very vague sometimes). Division 4 delivers a funky remix of Lizzo's "Phone" which I really like. Dirty Disco (Mark de Lange) has been very busy turning out some outstanding remixes recently and I feature six of them in this set. Artists include Kylie Minogue's "Padam Padam" (her massive summer smash hit), Dua Lipa, Kristine W, Sam Smith & Madonna, Ariana Castelli and Adam Lambert - a veritable smorgasbord of Dirty Disco. We lost a legend of the music industry in late May of this year. Tina Turner was an incredible artist turning out hits from the 60's through to the 2010's. I've included the Joe Gauthreaux remix of one of her biggest hits "The Best" (RIP Tina). Debby Holiday delivers a powerful vocal on her Pride hit "Love Lift Me Up" collaborating with Stephen Jusko & DJ Blacklow. Toy Armada also features two remixes here for Mary Kiani on her cover of "Giving Up, Giving In" as well as Kim Petras & Nicki Minaj's massive hit "Alone". Idina Menzel has a pumping new song out, "Move" remixed by Guy Scheiman. The set closes out with Sigala & Adam Lambert's cover of the Sylvester classic "Mighty Real". July's edition of UP! still has an underlying Pride theme, so keep partying. EnjoyAnthony1/ "LIKE I USED TO" (Original Club Mix) - SONNY FEDERA & PAUL WOODFORD ft. I was a little bit slow off the mark getting my annual Pride Anthems edition out for June this month. None the less, here is the June 2023 edition. This is 27 remixed club anthems starting off with some smooth house remixes and moving towards main club and big room club anthems from the middle through to the end. The set kicks off with Dirty Disco's classic house remix of Candi Staton's "Young Hearts Run Free" and moves into Division 4's funky mix of Angie Stone's "Wish I Didn't Miss You". Jacked features two mixes here for Divine Inspiration and Chic respectively and DJ KaktuZ turns in a great house mix of "Believe" by Cher. Division 4 features two more mixes for Kylie Minogue and Madonna respectively and the Beachbums do a nice re-edit of one of my favourite songs from last year "Fearless" by Tom Grennan. Jet Boot Jack has been turning out some fantastic house mixes recently and two of his feature here. Shauna Jensen released an uplifting anthem for World Pride in Sydney this year with fantastic vocals. I had to put the Dirty Disco and Debby Holiday collaboration "Find A Way" in this set as it has fast become one of my all time favourite club tracks - period. The messaging is powerful and Debby's vocals have never been more amazing. With it's official release recently, Mark (de Lang) did a remix of his original remix and it is stunning. Toy Armada has been busy with Jace M turning out mixes for Janet Jackson and Kelly Clarkson as well as his original take on the 90's classic Sunchyme. Keala Settle's "This Is Me" is a powerful anthem and Joe Gauthreaux's remix lifts it up even more. I snuck a couple of male vocals in this edition as I didn't do a Mardi Gras Men this year so I had to put Tony Moran's awesome version of "Pride" In The Name Of Love on here as well. The last few tracks are pure pop joy from Demi Lovato and Boyz With Toyz. Vanessa Amorosi's powerhouse "Absolutely Everybody" closes out this massive edition of Pride Anthems for June 2023. Party hard and stay safe. Welcome to the 20th edition of Mardi Gras Anthems. This edition leans more towards the big room anthem sound with a mixture of new and classic songs. The set kicks of with Adele's "Easy On Me" beautifully remixed by Mor Avrahami and glides into Whitney's "Don't Cry For Me" given a solid club treatment by Leo Frappier. Dario Xavier features two remixes here for Agnes and Kylie Minogue respectively. Joe Gauthreaux turns out two thumping remixes for Kelly Clarkson and Rita Ora respectively and Guena LG gives an awesome remix on the cover of Gloria Estefan's classic "Don't Let This Moment End". I had to include Avril Lavigne's "Head Above Water" as her vocals on this are fantastic and the Tommer Mizrahi remix is an epic club journey. Paul Goodyear delivers a driving remix of Ultra Nate's "Free" and the Cajjmere Wray tribute remix of JLo's "Waiting For Tonight" is outstanding. I gave Miley Cyrus's "Flowers" a run here because it is huge on the charts right now and Dirty Disco delivers an excellent remix of it. Big Kid's remix of "Easy As Life" by Deborah Cox kicks ass and he very generously provided it to me for this set. Lara Fabian and Beyonce` also feature classic songs with updated remixes here. The set closes out with two classic tracks from Jessica Folker and Cindy Mizelle with classic remixes from Jonathan Peters and Ritchie Santana. If you are looking for non stop anthems, this set is an epic end to an epic Mardi Gras in 2023. February is here and it brings with it World Pride in Sydney as well as the Sydney Mardi Gras. These 2 events take UP! pretty much all of February and lead into March and I believe that this is the first time a World Pride event has been held in the Southern Hemisphere. I decided to split the usual Pride Anthems episodes into two parts - one in February for World Pride and the other one I will release in June this year which is traditionally Pride month around the world. As always with the Pride releases, I try to select music with a strong, positive message as it is a celebration of the LGBTQI community after all. This set kicks off with 2 very recent remixes of 2 classic tracks. "Joy" by Staxx and "Stronger" by Britney Spears. Division 4 features 3 back to back remixes here for Missy Elliott, Soulsearcher and Heather Small respectively. Tony Moran's classic remix of Madonna's "Crazy For You" is also here, along with Therese's "Put 'Em High" expertly remixed by Jet Boot Jack. Mary J. Blige's "Just Fine" is such an uplifting dance floor anthem as is Mel B's "For Once In My Life" mixed by JRMX. Moving towards the back end of the set are classic tracks from Beyonce`, Bex, Kylie Minogue, Whitney Houston and Inaya Day. Toy Armada delivers an updated mix of Kim English's massive hit "Everyday" and Dirty Disco close this edition of Pride Anthems with an outstanding mix of the original Sister Sledge hit "We Are Family". For all the visitors to Sydney for the festivals and to everyone around the world, get ur freak on and celebrate with Pride. Welcome to 2023. The new year brings with it a bucket load of new music. The January '23 edition of UP! is a blend of commercial pop, light progressive house and thumping big room bangers. The set kicks off with "Chemistry" by KREAM & Camden Cox. Ava Max's "Million Dollar Baby" moves into Lady Gaga's "Bloody Mary". Surely you've seen the dance craze associated with this song on TikTok? Cahill has been doing a lot of remixes teaming up with TDAG and they turn out a great mix of "Waiting List" by Ana Shine. Will Holland, who turned out excellent vocal trance mixes turns in a more progressive sound on "Afterglow" by Ana Criado and Toy Armada & Jace M work their magic on Whitney's "Don't Cry For Me". Tony Moran provides the vocals on a cover of Duran Duran's classic "Ordinary World". Roland Belmares takes P!nk's "Never Gonna Not Dance Again" to the main room floor - it's still one of my favourite songs from 2022. Rihanna and Beyonce` round out the maiden edition of UP! 2023. Two big months coming UP! with World Pride taking place in Sydney in February followed by the 45th anniversary of Sydney Mardi Gras in February/March. Something I'm very much looking forward to. I think I need to change my scheduling around because September is nearly over and I'm just releasing the September '22 edition of UP! Anyway, here it is. This set starts off nice and funky with tracks from Jamelia, Beyonce`, Martin Ikin, Matt Goss and Fedde Le Grand kicking the set off. As the set transitions into a bigger room sound, Danny Morris, Russ Rich and Toy Armada bring the energy and lift the set to the next level. Dirty Disco feature two outstanding remixes here and Elof de Neve and Thiago Antony add to the energy. This month's edition of UP! is dedicated to my friends Gary and Mark who were recently married and threw a wedding of epic proportions (which I am still recovering from). Summer is making an appearance here in Australia and I am impatient as fuck waiting for it :) Hopefully this September edition of UP! will help speed up the process. The ATL has finally started to cool down while Party Favorz keeps heating up with our annual Fall Edition! I decided not to make everyone wait another week for this drop because I was able to get a couple of major things out of the way earlier in the week. A lot is going on in this set that features something for everyone. Of course, we've got all the latest circuit hits and pop hits remixed for the circuit, but I'm starting to pull in some mashups for this series and a couple of unexpected 80s throwbacks threw me off track but were so good they had to be included. The Journey x Edson Pride remix of Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) is monumental. We closed out the set with another one of Joel Dickinson's (a.k.a. Thee Werqn B!tches) deliciously devilish mashups featuring the unlikely casting of Lizzo, 4 Non Blondes, and Barbra Streisand mixed into a delightful confection of hi-energy glitterama. Jace M & Toy Armada have graced us with an uplifting tribute mix of Everyday by Kim English. This version is their signature style, which suits the track and its positive message. With the recent passing of Olivia Newton-John, I thought it was fitting to pay tribute to this gay icon. The woman has a treasure trove of music with five #1 hits, a multitude of Top 10 hits, two #1 albums, and she's a 4-time Grammy winner who has sold over 100 million albums worldwide. Many people aren't aware that her career (much like Taylor Swift) started in country music, then country pop before moving to pop music. Most of you do know that she starred opposite John Travolta in Grease, whose soundtrack is one of the world's biggest-selling albums. Newton-John battled breast cancer three times and was an advocate for breast cancer research as well as environmental and animal rights. As a gay icon and ally to our community, she appeared in the 1996 drama It's My Party — a movie about AIDS and dying with dignity. I noticed that there weren't any remixes for Miss Newton-John other than Physical (thank you Leo Blanco) so I dug out the Victor Calderone remix of Hopelessly Devoted To You from the Grease soundtrack, which — despite its age — fits perfectly into this set. Barry Harris had recently reworked Xanadu but I thought that wouldn't quite fit in and only a few of my followers would get it. I just wanted to pay my respects and give love to this woman who was a big part of my life. Now, I'm officially taking this next week off and will be back the following week with one of my bucket list series. It's been a hot minute since our last Circuit & Anthems set and for a good reason. Party Favorz was doling out a marathon of gay anthem classics that 1) there wasn't enough time to complete a circuit set for Pride and 2) there weren't enough worthy new tracks to compile a Pride set. The good news is that good things come to those who wait. Summer Edition 2022 features the cream of the crop in circuit anthems for your summer workouts and/or pure enjoyment. This one is for the boys that enjoy that big room tribal sound with progressive elements sprinkled throughout. Speaking of progressive elements — Mor Avrahami has been on a roll with his releases. It's always good to mix these sets up and Avrahami in the vein of Offer Nissim and Yinon Yahel — has been churning out the goods one right after another. Don't be surprised that he shows up here quite a bit. Just know that some of his great releases had to be cut out to keep this set tight. I also want to point out that "Daddy" by Sleepsleep & Tahlia Paris takes on a new life once Jace M & Toy Armada got their hands on the song. They've sampled the disco classic "Relight My Fire" by Dan Hartman. To my knowledge, this song has never been sampled before because it doesn't lend itself to a specific hook. It's one of those epic disco classics that starts with a prelude and three minutes later veers into the actual song. In this case, neither has any association with the other but merely connects the two parts. Jace and Toy sampled the prelude for the basis of "Daddy" turning the darker original into a fun tribal-disco romp that's bound to pack floors around the world. I don't think most DJs would have thought to sample that aspect of the song because it's just okay but damn if it doesn't work so well here. There's a lot to get excited about in this latest release but I'll let the music do the talking. I should be back next week with our Summer Melt series featuring the latest Dance Club hits and club tracks heating up dancefloors. Until the next time...ENJOY! The original set was updated so that the Josh Harris remix of 'Proud' by Heather Small was switched out for the original remix by Illicit and the transition from 'We Are Family' by Sister Sledge was pushed out by 15 seconds for a smoother transition. We have finally reached the end of the Ultimate Gay Anthems & PRIDE Classics series and this fifth volume does not disappoint. I cannot begin to describe how difficult it is compiling and mixing this massive series. The decision process alone determining which songs make the cut and those that get left behind is a painful process. So, if there's anything you feel is missing — it'll likely make an appearance on the forthcoming Essential Gay Anthems For A New Generation set(s) I have planned for next week. I've been syphoning new remixes for songs that will be included and placing them into their own special folder and will collect our favorites since the original series began and compile everything into possibly two massive sets. For this final set, which represents a very specific time period between the 90's and say the first 15 years of the millennium with updated classics from those periods as welll as the 80's — I want to recognize the DJs that have not only filled our lives with so much joy but enriched them with their mastery and midas touch when it comes to reworking other artists. Over the course of this 5-set journey, the bulk of the biggest names have already been reconized in our Legacy series, which honors the work of not only the living but the deceased members of this elite community. It's no wonder that Hex Hector, Junior Vasquez, Ralphi Rosario, Tony Moran, Freemasons, Almighty, 7th Heaven, DJ Barry Harris, Thunderpuss, Victor Calderone, Toy Armada & DJ Grind, Wayne G and Jonathan Peters make up the bulk of what's presented here. No other DJs have contributed so much to our happiness and for that — we are most grateful for the joy they've brought to our lives. Keep in mind that while this series is a pretty fucking big deal and massive in scope and size — in no way does it discount or relegates artists, DJs and allies to the LGBTQ+ community not mentioned or represented in this series any less worthy. We worship them all and if I've left someone out — please accept my deepest apologies. I'll be back next week. Until then...ENJOY! It's getting closer to March and Sydney'd Mardi Gras but before that I have the February '22 edition of UP! for you. This edition has some commercial pop and house tracks blended with some big, floor filling anthems. The set kicks off with tracks from Ashley Paul, Jessie J and Gayle's massive hit "ABCDEFU". Dirty Disco turn out a stunning remix for Taylor Swift's "Message In A Bottle" as well as for Charli XCX later in the set. Thelma Houston has a great house collaboration with Bimbo Jones and Zoe delivers a bangin' cover of KD Lang's "Constant Craving". 7th Heaven, Sagi Kariv and Toy Armada all deliver excellent remixes to elevate the set which closes out with Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber's "Stay". This is the perfect prelude to next month's Mardi Gras anthems. EnjoyAnthony1/ "COME AND GET ME" (Sean Finn Remix) - ASHLEY PAUL2/ "BRAVE" (Original Remix) - DON DIABLO ft. Party Favorz is back with the third installment of the Ultimate Tony Moran Legacy series. As we get deeper into these sets, Moran's brilliance as remixer/producer really begins to shine even brighter. Whether the remixes were for his own collaborations for his own "Event" compilations or for other artists, Moran has racked up a record #1 songs (some on the Dance Club charts and others on various other charts including the Hot 100). As he became known for his live performances, the name Tony Moran became synonymous with marquee shows that have packed audiences across the globe, while paving the way for others like Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Skrillex and Avicii who transferred their skills from the recording booth to live stadiums. It's been a busy week here in the Party Favorz household with one drama after the other leading up to a suicidal Betta affecitonately known as Karl who jumped 5 feet out of his tank while I was preparing to change his water. He later passed after he couldn't handle the stress. It's a wonder I got as much done as I did. Shortly after this post, there will be a 4th and final volume of this Legacy set, which will be followed up tomorrow with another by a different artist and then the final volume of the Thank God It's Disco series next week. If anyone is keeping track, it's also about time for the annual X-mas Dance series to drop, which you can look for on Black Friday. Expect something different this year. That's all I got for today but expect the 4th volume of this series to drop in short order today. Until the next time...ENJOY! It's been a while since my last podcast — a delay that comes as the result of a beautiful summer spent traveling — but I'm back this month with my Halloween 2k21 podcast, which is always one of my favorites of the year.I'm so excited to be headlining HALLOWEENIE LA this year, on Friday, October 29th at the Belasco Theatre in DTLA. And catch me again Halloween night at BORDELLO at the Doheny Room in West Hollywood. Ghouls, ghosts, and goblins… I'll see you on the dance floor! This podcast features Stephen Jusko and I's remix of “Love & Beats” from Brett Oosterhaus feat. Debby Holiday, as well as a sneak peek of our upcoming remix of “Shadows Of The Night” feat. Audrey Callahan! (which drops everywhere digital music lives, on Oct. 29th!)For any of those of you who actually read this far, this is going to be my last #PugLife podcast for a while. I'm not taking a break from music, but tastes evolve and I'm going to be focusing on my House Is A Feeling series (just house, no circuit music) for the foreseeable future. I hope you enjoy entry #21… and if you do, feel free to leave me a tip! Every once in a while, a set just comes together without effort and is so flawless that it makes you just want to scream HALLELUJAH! The Fall Edition 2021 is one such example. It appears that many top circuit DJs have been switching up their remixes and moving towards a more progressive big room sound not unlike several tracks you may have heard from the latest Ultimate 90's Classics [1998 - 1999] series. Hell, even Stewart Who? makes an appearance here. Is it anything new? No. Is it a refreshing change from the redundant big tribal beats that have permeated the scene for the past several years? A resounding YES! Granted, Dirty Disco has been at the forefront of the change for over a year now and it seems other DJs are just now following suit. Toy Armada has definitely dropped his big room uplifiting anthems in favor of a more progressive house style. There were three new works from him: one was with his longtime partner DJ Grind, another with Jace M (who he's worked with in the past) and a solo offering for Leanh. The last two are a good sampling of his mindset but the one with DJ Grind really missed the mark (and was subsequently dropped from this set). Party Favorz looks forward to where he's taking his music. Even Offer Nissim, who has always stood out from the pack with a very specific progressive sound often emulated by other big name Isralei DJs has switched things up by housing up his staple sound on his latest collaboration with Deborah Cox on the stellar "Summer of Love. Up and coming fellow Isralei DJ Michael Benayon really delivers on what is otherwise a mediocre song "Snow In the Sahara" by Bouvier & Barona featuring Akazi. The song itself sounds like a Eurovision cheesy euro-pop track that Dirty Disco and Wayne G capitalized on but we just weren't feeling it. Micahel Benyon flips the track with a deeper progressive groove that not only gives the song a deeper meaning but actual purpose. Speaking of Dirty Disco, the boys have updated the Celeda classic "The Underground" in a variety of flavors that is certain to light up dance floors across the globe. The original track was a former #1 Dance Club hit on Billboard, which was originally released on Peter Rauhofer's Star 69 label in the earlier part of the millennium. I fully expect you'll be hearing this tune in its various incarnations shortly — if you already aren't. We've got a stellar release schedule lined up for October with the annual HW21 dropping next week and it's lining up to be a surefire banger. Until then...ENJOY! Continuing the all male vocal sets comes Men 15. The past editions of Men have related to Mardi Gras Men which have been a mixture of gay and straight male vocalists. For this first edition of Pride Men, I wanted to feature only male artists who identify as gay or non binary. I wanted this set to be Pride personified for gay men but still be accessible to all lovers of great male club anthems. Artists such as Matt Zarley, Jason Walker, Tony Moran, Brian Justin Crum and Steve Grand from the USA mix it up with Sam Smith, Will Young, Peyton, Calum Scott and D:Ream from the UK. Australia's Troye Sivan and Bulgaria's Kristian Kostov round out the artists featured here. Remixes come from 7th Heaven, Dave Aude`, Barry Harris, Russ Rich & LFB, Toy Armada & DJ GRIND, The Alias and Dirty Disco. Throw in some high energy mixes from Sagi Kariv and Tommer Mizrahi and Pride Men is set to ignite the dance floor. Enjoy Anthony 1/ "CHANGE BEGINS WITH ME" (7th Heaven Club Mix) - MATT ZARLEY 2/ "MY MY MY!" This Pride month, the world is (almost) back! It's Pride weekend in my just-reopened hometown of Los Angeles, and the children... are... living! It’s an amazing feeling for most of the world to be able to dance, rejoice, and celebrate together again. Of course, it’s still not this way for everyone - and this past year has been filled with tremendous pain and loss - and yet, there have been so many silver linings and lessons learned from this pandemic year, along with the realization that tomorrow is not promised to any of us. As many of you know (and probably just as many of you don’t!) outside of my DJ/producer work, I work full-time at one of the largest LGBTQ social justice organizations in the U.S. Pride season is a busy time for us, and for me, it’s not all dance parties and celebrations. Pride was - and must always continue to be - a protest. The roots of our joy are interconnected with the long struggle of the fight for equality - something that so many in the LGBTQ community still have yet to fully achieve. Music is my creative outlet, and this year it’s my joy to share with you Stephen Jusko and I’s new remix of “Stronger” by Sam Feldt feat. Kesha, a track that we're sure will become a pride anthem for us for years to come. Plus, this podcast contains amazing new standout production work from Brett Oosterhaus, Enrico Meloni, Leanh, Thiago Antony, Toy Armada & Jace M, Junior Senna & Rafael Dutra, and updated house classics from Sam Divine and The Cube Guys & Bob Sinclar. If you’re new to my podcast, each episode of my #PugLife series is a journey in progressive house and high-energy dance music. Each set starts out with a house warm up before kicking into the peak hour zone. About 3/4ths of the way through, I go into a short darker zone, before switching gears and launching into uplifting tracks and classics at the end! I hope you enjoy the music… and if you do enjoy it, please tip! Find me on Venmo: @DJBlacklow Happy Pride month, y’all! Party Favorz is back with our annual Spring Edition featuring the hottest circuit anthems for what is shaping up to be one HOT summer! While this set had been in the can for just over a week — I was battling issues from all directions playing whack a mole with every new issue that kept popping up. This kept me busy spending most of my days on the phone trying to straighten out other people's bullshit. I had decided to drop one song from the set and replace another with a different version and needed to temper another track that was pitched too high. This appears to be something that several DJs have been doing lately. That is, reducing the bass and pushing the mid and highs up while overcompressing the song. Since I test all my mixes out on Bluetooth headphones, home speaker system and in my car — this new mastering by certain DJs is shrill and hurts the living shit out of my ears. I don't know the purpose of this new technique but it's driving my batshit crazy. As I find them, I go back and temper the highs and add a gentle boost to the bass so it doesn't sound like it's being squeezed out of a tin can. This is where I ran into some problems on one such song. The Jace M & Toy Armada remix of "We Are," which is an outstanding track by Dan Slater & Zoë Badwi. For some strange reason, the song wouldn't load in my editor. I've never had this problem before and kept getting the error message "the path to file is not specified" by Windows. I looked it up and went through all of the troubleshooting steps for this error (which is apparently common but new to me). I was getting help on the WindowsTen forum but nothing was working. Finally, I bit the bullet and performed a clean install of the operating system and the problem persisted. It was only then that I decided to load a different song only to find it worked. So, the issue was specific to this one song but why? After looking at the title — I changed the 'ë' in Zoe's name to just 'e' and presto! That was the issue. The editor couldn't read the special character, which makes no sense. Why? Because it would load 'Tiësto' that uses the same diaeresis but one loads and the other does not. I'm thinking that Tiësto may use a special character for input where Zoë is input using the language instructions from the keyboard, where my keyboard layout is in English. Maybe...I can't say for certain. Regardless, I wasted two entire days just on this issue alone. The fact that I'm expending so much energy telling y'all about it should allude to how pissed I was over this one problem. I couldn't just drop the song because it really is stellar. Not only that, it opened up the set. Grrr. The good news is that I've really delivered a circuit and anthem set that will blow the roof off any party. There's enough tribalism here to fuel your workouts or just outright party. So, without further ado, I bring you the Spring Edition 2021. ENJOY! Album: Spring Edition 2021 Genre: Circuit, Tribal, House Year: 2021 Total Time: 03:46:07 1. Dan Slater & Zoe Badwi - We Are (Jace M & Toy Armada Remix) 2. Las Bibas from Vizcaya feat. Happy New Year to everyone. I know we're half way through January but I was a little slow off the mark this year. The January 2021 edition of UP! blends a mix of new tracks with some classics thrown in for good measure. The set kicks off with Kylie's new track "Real Groove" mixed by the very talented DJ Argonaut from Melbourne. Melanie C and Tones And I follow up with their current hits and it's great to see Cosmic Dawn back with a signature mix of "Save Your Tears" by The Weeknd. As the set moves into a more progressive house sound, Russ Rich & Andy Allder deliver a standout mix of Taylor Swift's new track "Evermore" as does Wayne G. on "Without You Tonight" by Anne Steele. The set eases into a big room sound with remixes from Dirty Disco & Dario Xavier and then plants its feet firmly in big room territory with remixes from Nick Stracener, Enrico Meloni and Toy Armada & DJ GRIND on new tracks from Miley Cyrus, Sagi Kariv and Sia. Welcome to 2021 everyone. Lets' hope things improve from here on. Enjoy Anthony 1/ "REAL GROOVE" (Argonaut Remix) - KYLIE MINOGUE 2/ "OVERLOAD" (Todd Terry Club Mix) - MELANIE C 3/ "FLY AWAY" (Charlie Lane Remix) - TONES AND I 4/ "SAVE YOUR TEARS" (Cosmic Dawn Remix) - THE WEEKND 5/ "WHAT I DO" (Until Dawn Club Mix) - SHAB 6/ "EVERMORE" (Russ Rich & Andy Allder Evermore Dancefloor Club Mix) - TAYLOR SWIFT 7/ "FOLLOW YOU" (Original Club Mix) - MATT DAREY & STAN KOLEV ft.
