The recent sweeping cuts to USAID and other federal programs have rattled fundraisers across the country and in all sectors. Uncertainty is widespread as nonprofit leaders wait to see just what the fallout will be. Whether your organization was impacted or is anticipating a budget shortfall, scaling back on riskier strategies like acquisition can be tempting. In fact, media spending, testing, and other efforts that help you reach potential donors are often the first things to go. But if you're not seeking new donors, how will you replace those you lose through natural attrition? What about the ones who have to give less due to their own financial hardships? In this episode of the Go Beyond Fundraising podcast, we're making the case for prioritizing acquisition — especially when you've been hit with unexpected budget cuts. Two Allegiance Group + Pursuant AVPs, Erin Robertson and J.C. Bouvier, share how you can use this difficult time to attract new prospects. And if the budget crunch hasn't hit yet, they have tips to help you prepare. By staying true to your mission and leading into your opportunities, you can weather this storm

It's another "Lisa angry at Homer" story where Lisa changes her last name to Bouvier, after he (successfully) bets against her in a crossword tournament when she admits she's likely to fail. Did he do anything wrong? Yes and no.Meanwhile, there was a real wasted opportunity to focus on Gil being the smimy heel of the tournament.

Anticipato dai singoli “Older” e “Best End”, “Neon” è disponibile in streaming e in digital download sulle principali piattaforme. Lasciatevi incuriosire, e buon ascolto!

Now we should think about repairing, reconstructing, transforming.Céline Bouvier is one of the four associate architects at LBBA Architecture. In Anne-Charlotte's interview, she talks, with French sensibility, about her beginnings in the USA, the future of the agency and two projects by LBBA.The first one is the headquarter of the prestigious L'Oréal company, in Clichy. A historical site, that was transformed little by little to create an avant-garde workspace, open onto a beautiful garden. A loft, not so formal but warm and welcoming, offering intimate spaces. As it is a project with challenges since the site is difficult to access, a light steel structure was designed to be brought easily into the space. The second one is located in Vitry, along the Seine river. The mixed-use project 'Les Docks du Port à L'Anglais' was to recreate a little piece of city, on a very polluted site. The quality of this work resides not in its built mass but in its voids, the quality of the urban space. It offers a new 'art de vivre au travail' (‘way of life at work') in the bigger dynamique of the Grand Paris.Image teaser DR © JP CAULLIEZSound engineering : Julien Rebours___If you like the podcast do not hesitate:. to subscribe so you don't miss the next episodes,. to leave us stars and a comment :-),. to follow us on Instagram @comdarchipodcast to find beautiful images, always chosen with care, so as to enrich your view on the subject.Nice week to all of you ! This week, three major international shows: Claude Monet's Thames views in London, the Henri Matisse retrospective in Basel and Helen Frankenthaler in Florence. An exhibition that Claude Monet hoped to see in his lifetime but which never happened has at last become a reality. A gathering of Monet's views of the Thames—looking from his hotel room at the Savoy and from across the river on a private terrace of St Thomas's hospital—has just opened at the Courtauld Gallery in London. Monet had hoped to stage such an event in London soon after the paintings were exhibited to acclaim in Paris in 1904, but so quickly had they dispersed, he was unable to do so. I spoke to the curator of the show, Karen Serres, first in the very room at the Savoy Hotel where he made many of the paintings, and then in the exhibition itself. Meanwhile, a rare European retrospective of Henri Matisse's work has opened at the Beyeler Foundation in Basel. Matisse: Invitation to the Voyage focuses on the artist's travels, in the world and also in his imagination, through paintings, sculptures and cut-outs made over more than 50 years. Ben Luke went to Basel and spoke to Raphaël Bouvier, the curator. And this episode's Work of the Week is Mediterranean Thoughts (1960) one of the paintings in Helen Frankenthaler: Painting without Rules, a new exhibition at the Palazzo Strozzi in Florence. The Art Newspaper's associate digital editor, Alexander Morrison, spoke to Douglas Dreishpoon, who organised the show.Monet and London: Views of the Thames, Courtauld Gallery, London, until 19 January 2025.Matisse – Invitation to the Voyage, Beyeler Foundation, Basel, Switzerland, until 26 January 2025.Helen Frankenthaler: Painting Without Rules, Palazzo Strozzi, Florence, until 26 January 2025.Subscription offer: get the perfect start to the new academic year with 50% off a student subscription to The Art Newspaper—that's £28, or the equivalent in your currency, for one year. On this week's episode of Artist Friendly, Joel Madden is joined by Pierre Bouvier of Simple Plan. Simple Plan grew from pop-punk underdogs to genre heroes over the course of six studio albums. In addition to racking up collabs with members of blink-182, Sum 41, and Weezer, the Canadian vets have played on over a dozen Warped Tours and created pop-punk essentials through early tracks like “Welcome to My Life” and “I'm Just a Kid.” The latter experienced a viral moment through TikTok at the beginning of the decade, challenging people to recreate childhood photos as adults and post the results, which featured participation from Will Smith, Ed Sheeran, and beyond. Given that their friendship stretches back to the 2000s, the duo get into it all across a nearly hour-long episode. Listen to their conversation on Artist Friendly wherever you listen to podcasts. In this episode, we explore the life, loves, and increasingly complicated relationships of Lee Bouvier Radziwill, which a lens to two in particular. The first with her sister, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. The next, with her best friend, Truman Capote. We completely depart the Feud series this week, beginning the first of a three-episode arc to unpack the real feud, which is little featured in the series – the feud between Truman Capote and Gore Vidal. This week, in a prologue of sorts, we connect Gore Vidal and Lee Radziwill, long associated before Truman, who are stepsiblings through marriage, thanks to Hugh D. Auchincloss. Hugh's second and third wives, respectively, were Nina Gore Vidal and Janet Lee Bouvier, mothers of Gore and Lee. This one is multi-layered and involves so many spiderwebs. “Scandals have been a part of history in major declarations, false truces, when political or celebrity figures need to pay someone off to protect their legacy and more.[7] Scandals can involve bribery, immoral action, shame, slander, misdoing, etc.[8] The Hamilton–Reynolds affair, which involved Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton, who had a one-year affair with Maria Reynolds during George Washington's presidency, is considered one of the first sex scandals in American political history.[9] Political sex scandals in the U.S. have included the first sex scandal of Alexander Hamilton to five major national political figures, Newt Gingrich, John Edwards, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bill Clinton and Donald Trump.[10] Men and women have to face scrutiny of their career or life in the field of politics by the media looking for scandals. Sex scandals involve sexual affairs which usually, but not always, involve infidelity. Infidelity has many definitions, either based on experience or research done on people who have been involved in the act of disloyalty and trust. To some, infidelity "is a complex phenomenon with multiple reasons driving people to cheat on their partners".[11] A 2018 New York Times article cited an American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy national survey, stating "that 15 percent of married women and 25 percent of married men have had extramarital affairs".[12] Sex scandals tend to include a bias when it comes to men and women who are caught and then need evidence to explain their situation. A 2015 study concluded that gender stereotypes were "refer(ed) to the meanings that individuals and societies ascribe to males and females".[13] According to Juliet Williams at the University of California, Los Angeles the 1998 Clinton–Lewinsky scandal in the United States made the US Congress, media, and citizens look at male candidates and politicians in a different light by "normalizing public discussion of sex acts."[14] John Edwards, David Petraeus, Anthony Weiner, Arnold Schwarzenegger, are other examples of men involved in sex scandals that have caused the public not to give men the benefit of the doubt. This has caused the debate between politics and sex scandals to be seen in a different light. It has allowed gender-shifting and the role of gender to become more unbiased in the selection of candidates during their evaluation and allows more power for women fighting against stereotypes due to scandals, and men being seen as more skeptical.[13] A year after the 2017 Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases was first reported, leading to the viral spread of the #MeToo movement, New York Times published a list of 201 names of prominent men in the United States who had lost their jobs following public allegations of sexual harassment.[15] Social attitudes have traditionally been less forgiving when minors are involved. In France, for example, the scandal surrounding Swiss art dealer Yves Bouvier and former call girl Zahia Dehar – for whom Bouvier allegedly acted as a pimp in the late 2000s, paying her to appear at dinners for entertainment when she was 17 years old – has caused outrage and opened a debate about powerful men in society abusing their power.[16][17] The fall from grace and imprisonment of Anthony Weiner, following his sexting of explicit pictures to a 15-year-old girl, is another notable example of the pre-#MeToo era.[18]” -Wikipedia. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/antonio-myers4/support
Last month, much of the art industry was transfixed on the goings-on in a courtroom in downtown Manhattan, where the Russian businessman Dimitry Rybolovlev and a group of Sotheby's auction house representatives were taking turns on the witness stand. The matter at issue was artworks that Rybolovlev had purchased via the Swiss art dealer Yves Bouvier. The Russian accused Sotheby's of conspiring with Bouvier and defrauding Rybolovlev out of tens of millions of dollars in art sales and Sotheby's denied any wrongdoing. The works in question are masterpieces, not least of which was Leonardo da Vinci's Salvator Mundi. That work later made headlines for a totally different reason, when Rybolovlev sold it at Christie's for $450 million in 2017 Rybolovlev ended up losing his case against the auction house last month, and the verdict is likely the last gasp in a high profile art fraud dispute that has travelled to courtrooms all over the world over the last years. And the Sotheby's trial this January was just part of a wider story that actually tracks back to a time before 2014 when the Russian businessman spent around $2 billion acquiring a world class art, collection of art by the likes of Paul Gaugin, Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. His right-hand man in getting him these works was Bouvier. Their relationship soured though when Rybolovlev discovered that Bouvier was marking up the prices. In some cases, Bouvier would speak with Sotheby's to get works evaluated After years of litigation in court actions, the two men eventually settled out of court in December, 2023. While the details of their settlement are fully confidential, the proceedings with Sotheby's in January have shed light on the secretive world of our business dealings. Artnet's Senior Editor, Kate Brown spoke about the case with Senior Market spoke with Eileen Kinsella, who has been following this dispute for years, since the very beginning and watched the trial in person last month.
Breed Type First: Mary Dukes on Judging Dogs [caption id="attachment_12717" align="alignleft" width="409"] Mary Dukes in her handling days heyday.[/caption] Legendary handler, rep and now judge Mary Dukes continues her conversation with host Laura Reeves. Today they talk about judging, handling and all-time favorite dogs. “I'm a type-first girl all the way,” Dukes said, quoting the notable Anne Rogers Clark common wisdom to sort first on type and then reward the soundest of the typical dogs. “I'm forgiving of leg faults, especially on the down and back. As long as it doesn't offend me, it's probably good enough. “I do firmly believe this. A good judge can see right through a poor handling job. Sometimes it's frustrating. I watched a breed in Orlando. It wasn't a hound breed but a breed that I'm very familiar with and it was so frustrating because it's an owner -handled breed for the most part and the best dogs in there were being tragically handled. It was so frustrating because there was a dog in there that's beautiful and every time the judge looked at him (the handler) wasn't even trying to do anything with him. His legs were everywhere. You know, all she was doing was feeding him basically. “And I thought, God, if you could just rack him up once, just rack him up once and pull him up over his front and break him over, (the judge) just needs to see it once. “I might be the one that will turn into Frank Sabella. I mean, not in terms of swapping dogs or anything, because he did that to me a million times, but I know he got in trouble for it. But in terms of, ‘Here's what I want you to do. Can you go from this corner to that corner on a loose lead? Can you do that?' If they give me five steps, we're golden. “At the end of the day, it's putting up the best dog." Pro tip: Pacing “It's all about throwing them off balance when you take the first step. I always like to go into them because they learn pretty quick. A lot of people they jerk (the dog) and then ‘let's go.' Well, then the dog starts anticipating that. I just would turn them into me and then just bump them. Just bump their shoulder as you start your down and back.” [caption id="attachment_12718" align="alignleft" width="482"] Ch. Aroi Talk of the Blues, 'Punky', shown with handler Corky Vroom. Judge Anne Rogers Clark “discovered” Punky in 1975, when she made her Best of Breed from the Puppy class at the Greyhound Club of America specialty in Santa Barbara. Punky was the Top Dog of all breeds in 1976.[/caption] Mary's fantasy best in show line up would be judged by Michelle Billings. It would feature Mick, the Kerry Blue who shows up in most judges' all-time best line ups, but many of her other choices are more esoteric and focused on dogs she knew personally. From Iron Eyes, the Bouvier to Scarlett Ribbons, the Italian Greyhound. Listen in to hear her personal choice for Best in Show.

Today's show featured an interview with L'areal Lipkins and her client Chelsea Bouvier, Sales Manager at biotech research company Sanguine. IES Women in Sales Program Director Gina Stracuzzi conducted the interview. L'AREAL'S ADVICE: "Slow down to speed up and ask “Where's there a gap?” What's the behavior that's driving that gap? What's the belief that's behind that? What are the behaviors that we're doing or not doing that is generating that on the back end? Is it something cultural that as an organization we have these beliefs around our industry, our product, the economy, whatever it is, that is creating those behaviors or lack thereof, that is getting the results that we're getting or not getting on the back end?" CHELSEA'S ADVICE: "Stay consistent and go in with an open mind if you're changing your sales process. Often, salespeople are close headed, “Hey, it's working,” but you're not always open to, “What else can I do to be better?” You're just scared, what could go wrong? I would certainly say be open and then be consistent."
Why do some courts and lawyers instinctively react to examinations under oath (EUOs), also called sworn statements, as if they're "secret depositions?" When conducted properly, they clearly aren't. But the issue still arises from time to time. In this episode Garrity talks about two recent court rulings. One is from a Florida federal judge that rejected an effort to have the court treat EUOs and depositions as one and the same. The other, from South Carolina, sanctioned a defendant for taking an EUO that the court said in essence was the very deposition the court had forbidden. Garrity offers some fantastic thoughts and tips for conducting EUOs in a way that mnimizes the risk a court will confuse them with depositions, which are an intellectually and procedurally different animal.SHOW NOTESFed.
