FABcast #507 - Responding to My Anger by RBAR
Sahih al-Bukhari – The Book of Tawheed – Lesson 63 (22/09/18) Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "When Allah created the creations, He wrote with Him on His Throne: 'My Mercy has preceded My Anger." Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud: Allah's Apostle the true and truly inspired, narrated to us, "The creation of everyone of you starts with the process of collecting the material for his body within forty days and forty nights in the womb of his mother. Then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period (40 days) and then he becomes like a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then an angel is sent to him (by Allah) and the angel is allowed (ordered) to write four things; his livelihood, his (date of) death, his deeds, and whether he will be a wretched one or a blessed one (in the Hereafter) and then the soul is breathed into him. So one of you may do (good) deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise so much that there is nothing except a cubit between him and Paradise but then what has been written for him decides his behaviour and he starts doing (evil) deeds characteristic of the people of Hell (Fire) and (ultimately) enters Hell (Fire); and one of you may do (evil) deeds characteristic of the people of Hell (Fire) so much so that there is nothing except a cubit between him and Hell (Fire), then what has been written for him decides his behaviour and he starts doing (good) deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise and ultimately) enters Paradise." Sahih al-Bukhari – The Book of Tawheed – Lesson 53 (30/06/18) Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "The Right (Hand) of Allah Is full, and (Its fullness) is not affected by the continuous spending night and day. Do you see what He has spent since He created the Heavens and the Earth? Yet all that has not decreased what is in His Right Hand. His Throne is over the water and in His other Hand is the Bounty or the Power to bring about death, and He raises some people and brings others down." Narrated Anas: Zaid bin Haritha came to the Prophet complaining about his wife. The Prophet kept on saying (to him), "Be afraid of Allah and keep your wife." Aisha said, "If Allah's Apostle were to conceal anything (of the Quran he would have concealed this Verse." Zainab used to boast before the wives of the Prophet and used to say, "You were given in marriage by your families, while I was married (to the Prophet) by Allah from over seven Heavens." And Thabit recited, "The Verse:-- 'But (O Muhammad) you did hide in your heart that which Allah was about to make manifest, you did fear the people,' (33.37) was revealed in connection with Zainab and Zaid bin Haritha." Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Verse of Al-Hijab (veiling of women) was revealed in connection with Zainab bint Jahsh. (On the day of her marriage with him) the Prophet gave a wedding banquet with bread and meat; and she used to boast before other wives of the Prophet and used to say, "Allah married me (to the Prophet in the Heavens.)" Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "When Allah had finished His creation, He wrote over his Throne: 'My Mercy preceded My Anger.' Today we covered: • Where is Allaah? o The Throne is above the water o Evidence from Zainab when she said, “Allaah did this from above the seven heavens.” o Allaah is the most high and nothing is above Him. o Evidence from Zainab bint Jahsh, “Allaah married me to the Prophet in the heavens.” o The Qu’raan, sunnah and salaf testifies that Allaah is above. o Evidence from the Qur’aan, “Make the tasbeeh of your Lord the most high.” o Evidence from the sunnah. Sahih al-Bukhari – The Book of Tawheed – Lesson 28 (23/09/17) Today we covered the following ahadith: The Prophet said, "When Allah created the Creation, He wrote in His Book--and He wrote (that) about Himself, and it is placed with Him on the Throne--'Verily My Mercy overcomes My Anger.'" The Prophet said, "Allah says: 'I am just as My slave thinks I am, (i.e. I am able to do for him what he thinks I can do for him) and I am with him if He remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, I too, remember him in Myself; and if he remembers Me in a group of people, I remember him in a group that is better than they; and if he comes one span nearer to Me, I go one cubit nearer to him; and if he comes one cubit nearer to Me, I go a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.' " Topics discussed: • When a person has good thoughts of Allah he has goodness bestowed upon him • When a person persists on sinning and says, “but I have good thoughts of Allah” This person is miskeen. • Shaytaan has many traps, one of them is to stop you from repenting as well as committing shirk and bi'dah etc • The meaning of tawaqal and tawaaqal • Where is Allah o Explaining the hadith where it states, “Allah is with you.” o Common mistakes from the people of bi'dah o The ayah from the Qu'raan regarding if we will see Allah o Will we see Allah • The importance of understanding the Sunnah and the dangers of leaving off it. • The reality of seeking knowledge Benefit: To gain further understanding when we discuss the chains, follow our “Bayqooniyyah in the Sciences of Hadith” lessons on LearnAboutIslam: http://www.learnaboutislam.co.uk/2016/01/18/al-mandhomah-al-bayqooniyah/ The English translation of the hadiths and all the audio are available on: www.learnaboutislam.co.uk/bukhari Recorded at the Salafi Centre of Manchester on 23/09/17 and streamed live on www.SunnahRadio.Net
