After an Iowa Track & Field star clocked a 4.12 40 during halftime of the Hawkeyes game, it leads us to open the show with Robert Horry’s second homework assignment of the week. He wanted to know what athletes could excel in other sports – and Jenners asks about NBA players specifically who we think could play in the NFL. Names like LeBron and Ant of course pop up, but Rob goes with the obvious picks of Charlie Ward and Jalen Suggs, who both played college football. As the season unfolds, Rob also wants to know what Wemby can do to put on weight before we get too far in, especially after that video surfaced this week of Stephen Adams backing him down in the post and there was nothing Wemby could do to stop him. Plus after Anthony Richardson checked himself out of the Colts game, it reminds Rob of the time he pulled himself out of a game, but not because he was tired but because he was mad at Latrell Sprewell. Listeners also want to know what Rob thought about Chris Paul taking a swing at Dillon Brooks in the scrum this week, and Rob says that if you wanted to fight a guy in his day you just did it, or met at center court like Kobe and Reggie Miller. We have even more listener questions on the table, including – Are the Magic poised for a breakout season? Is Russell Westbrook cooked, or just in the wrong system in Denver as Rob suggests? We dive into that, and acknowledge the NBA Halloween costume of the year… which goes to the guy who dressed up like Manu Ginobili and his girlfriend who dressed up as the bat he swatted out of the air during a game!
Jake, Dunny and Steve break down the news and notes of the week (3:00), discuss the new TV deal (7:00), Paolo Banchero being a star (21:00), Joe Mazzula's recent comments (31:00), Chet Holmgren's ascendence (44:00), previewing the weekends big games - DEN/MIN, CLE/MIL, ORL/DAL (56:00) and the wheel demands Pelicans talk (1:16:00).

Happy Halloween! Well, this episode of Pull Up was recorded on Halloween, at least, and featured the pride of The BX, UConn legend, and Charlotte Hornet star Kemba Walker. Kemba talked CJ and Jordan through UConn's 2011 title run and his mindset during that time, when it was obvious to the world that he was ready for the NBA. He also spoke on what it's going to take for the Hornets to be consistent and successful, how he trained during an offseason where he was fully healthy, and the profound impact that Tony Parker has had on the team, since coming over from San Antonio. Plus, CJ, Jordan, and Kemba talk a little Halloween, and we take you to the wine corner. Let's go, it's time to... PULL UP.

Are you scared? ...because we think it's finally time. Golden State already sits on the throne as one of NBA's most storied dynasties. Instead of coasting on greatness, they continue to reign with dominance, records are being broken (literally as we record) and free agency news is batted away with the swipe of a hand. All we can do is wait for the walls to crumble -- or is there an alternative? Our NY sports expert and friend of the show, Elton Gilkes (@Coach_Gilkes) returns from SZN ONE to take on our Feature Presentation of GSW/NYK on October 26, the mess of the #KDNY2019 billboard, thoughts on the World Series, LeBron chasing greatness, transitional playlists, NBA Halloween costumes & much more. Tune in!
