esus announced that the Kingdom of God had arrived and everyone wondered what that would look like. Would it mean swords and fighting or a political takeover? John records a couple of one-on-one conversations that Jesus had. What an interesting Kingdom! It turns out that each person matters in the Kingdom of God, each woman and each man matter eternally.
Friendship with God Chapter 2-3 "Friendship with the Three in One, A Loving Father" Webster 3/9/2025 by Evangelical Fellowship Church
Not all the vials of judgment that have or shall be poured out upon the wicked world, nor the flaming furnace of a sinner's conscience, nor the irreversible sentence pronounced against the rebellious demons, nor the groans of the damned creatures, give such a demonstration of God's hatred of sin, as the wrath of God let loose upon His Son. Never did divine holiness appear more beautiful and lovely than at that time.

Sharing chapter 1 of Hairy god with the die hard fans of LEMT.
A Canaanite sex worker, Rahab seemed as far from God as a person could be. But Rahab trusted that God would save her, and he did. God rescued Rahab from shame and into a whole new life with a whole new family. That's what he does for us, too.
As we continue journeying through the Story of God, you may find yourself encountering things you didn't expect. Bible ‘heroes' who eat the forbidden fruit, get drunk, betray their brothers, and this week, one who does everything he can to avoid joining God in rescuing His people. There aren't many Bible heroes, just a bunch of failing humans. God is not deterred. He has and will do everything He can to rescue people, even if it's just by the skin of their teeth. It's all quite marvellous and mysterious.

It was God in the exercise of His high sovereignty that placed Satan and his angels, Adam, and Israel in their respective responsible positions. Thus, there is perfect harmony between the sovereignty of God and the responsibility of the creature.

Chapter4: The Lamb of God Chapter 5: The Beginning of 'The Hour'
Guests: Nick Bellamy and Johnny Farr Chapter 11 False Gods Principle: You are parenting a worshiper, so it's important to remember that what rules your child's heart will control his behavior. WORSHIP - everything your child has ever said or done is rooted in worship. Worship is that inner desire for wonder, amazement, and awe that every human being possesses. It is that craving to be fulfilled. It is that constant search for life. It is wanting personal meaning and purpose. It's that universal hunger for inner peace. Your kids were made for God. The capacity of your children to worship is the most important biblical insight for parents. Since your children are worshipers, a vital skill for you is to learn how to lead them to confession. To say your children are worshipers means you have no power to free them from their biggest problem. Because your children are worshipers, your only hope for them is the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Chapter 12 Control Principle: The goal of parenting is not control of behavior, but rather heart and life change. Psalm 51 Your children need to see their sin, so they'll cry out for God's mercy. Your children need to understand the nature of sin, so they don't minimize its danger Your children need to understand that their problem is not with their parents, but with God Your children need to understand that sin is a nature problem that produces behavior problems Your children need to understand that since sin is a heart problem, the only solution is a new heart Your children need to be taught to run to the only place of hope: the forgiving grace of God Chapter 13 Rest Principle: It is only rest in God's presence and grace that will make you a joyful and patient parent. Your job is to do everything within your power, as an instrument in the hands of the Redeemer who has employed you, to woo, encourage, call, and train your children to willingly and joyfully live as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. It's not enough to tell your children what to do and what not to do. This passage calls every parent to a deeper goal. You must teach your children how to think about everything in a way that is pointedly God-centered. Chapter 14 Mercy Principle: No parent gives mercy better than one who is convinced that he desperately needs it himself. Parenting is about being God's ambassadors in the lives of our children. Mercy is parenting with a tender heart. Look for every opportunity to shower your children with grace. Be careful to help your children see the heart behind behavior. Remind your heart each morning to rest in the presence and power of your heavenly Father. What does Krishna call His enemies who never recognize his Divinity when He is in human form? Fools! The truth is that people who are attracted towards atheism will never know the beauty of uncovering a personal relationship with God.

Yet many passages of scripture infer that there are others. Surely this must be one of the mysteries of creation, because in the first chapter of the Bible it reads, “Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness.” (Gen. 1:26) Then after the tree of good and evil was planted in the garden, one of the greatest promises in the Bible was given when the serpent said, “God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” (Gen. 3:4-5) There was truth to that because after they ate of that tree, “the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil….” (Gen. 3:22) Two important principles were revealed in this part of Genesis: (1) that there was more than one God in the creation and (2) that man could learn good and evil and become as Gods. This week we continue going through J.I. Packer's book Knowing God. We go through chapter 15 where Packer emphasizes that in order to have a full view of who God is we need to keep in mind the wrath of God - and when people think of wrath we often think of it in very human forms not the form of wrath from God which is not impacted by our flawed human ways. So what does Packer have to say on wrath? Let's take a look!Use Your Words podcast is passion project of two people from Southeastern Wisconsin. Latte and Laundry: A home for Catholic women, moms, and hearts
This week Johnna and I conclude our conversation on Abandonment to Divine Providence. We wrap up our conversation by diving deep into a trustful surrender into the arms of the perfect parent. We often grasp on tight to the walls of life in fear of all that lies ahead and all that has come before. We walk in the dark unsure of which way to go. How can we move forward when we can't even see our own feet in front of us? This is where the treasure of total abandonment comes in..."Come, my soul, come, and let us go to God by self-abandonment. Let us acknowledge that we are incapable of becoming holy by our own efforts, and put our trust in God, who would not have taken away our ability to walk, unless he was to CARRY us in his arms. What, Lord, is the use to us, of being able to see, to feel, and to understand, as we are not making our journey on foot, but we are being carried in your arms!!!"If this episode blessed you, I would be so honored if you shared it with a friend, rated it, or left us a review! I always love to connect :suzanne @latteandlaundry.com

This week we discuss chapter 11 of Knowing God by J.I. Packer. During this episode we talk about the central premise of Packer's book, which is to know God through interaction with Him and learning about Him and how important it is to follow His Word regardless of what our own selfish desires may want. Through knowing that God is truth, and that there can be nothing but truth from God - we learn not only a lot about how we as humans should live but more about Who God is himself. Use Your Words podcast is passion project of two people from Southeastern Wisconsin. Please consider checking out the below links to learn/hear more.
