Hayley and I met when we rocking out (and falling in love w lead singers) of the underground rock scene in Nashville about 15 years ago. Her husband is Ricky Young, who now is in the critically acclaimed band, Wild Feathers. There was a group of rockers who had a cult following in Nashville and would play every weekend. Ricky was a part of that scene, so was my hubs Michael and his band, A Thousand Horses. So Hayley and I have truly lived the Penny Lane life for sure. I loved having this conversation bc all these years later, Hayley and I are still in love with those rocker lead singers that we met almost 20 years ago. But now we both are married, both have little girls, and have lived soooooo much life. Hayley unexpectedly lost her father at age 25 and we really dive into the healing power of therapy and how that changed her life and allowed her to get to the other side of grief. We talk a lot about therapy and why it is so important to find someone to talk to instead of stuffing all the pain and trauma you can't process on your own. Once you can actually process it with professional help, then you can truly live freely and joyfully.  Learn more about your ad-choices at https://www.iheartpodcastnetwork.com

We delve into the behind the scenes at BWS and the process behind what wines are selected to be sold in store, the beauty of McLaren Vale and why you should visit, and are told to keep our eyes peeled for some new and exciting releases. We also discuss the unconventional food and wine pairing of KFC fried chicken and champagne, which is still on my list to try, and what you can do if you want to further your wine knowledge. On Episode 167, I'm joined by Ricky Young of Americana rock band The Wild Feathers, who in late November, released Medium Rarities, a collection of covers, b-sides, and new songs from the band's first decade. During this one, Young and I talk about the makeup of Medium Rarities and how it's a nice reflection of what the band's first decade sounds like, how they've embraced newer territory with each studio album, co-writing and creating this past year, working on new material, and how cabin retreats have often been the catalyst for the outfit's creativity each album go-around. DittyTV's Insights | Artist Interviews

In this episode, you'll get to hear from Nashville-based Americana band, The Wild Feathers. Or a couple of its members at least. Sam Shansky caught up with Ricky Young and Joel King over Zoom to discuss The Wild Feathers new album, Medium Rarities, a really awesome collection of B-sides, covers, and other odds and ends that the guys worked up once the 2020 quarantine rendered touring a non-option. Which is to say, they had some time on their hands to something they'd never done before. I, for one, am thankful they did, because what they produced is some of their best work yet. Let's welcome to the show, The Wild Feathers. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Official Website: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com This episode is all about the 2019 Harley-Davidson FXDR 114. This new motorcycle was released in late 2018 and at that time I took it for a test ride. To get all the details, check out my Harley FXDR 114 test ride and overview videos on YouTube.  The Harley-Davidson FXDR 114 rides great considering it has a 240 mm rear tire on an 18” wheel. The 19” front wheel with a 120 mm wide front tire works well with the rear tire size. The new cast aluminum swingarm and inverted front forks with cartridge dampening both round it out to make a good cornering motorcycle. I was actually very impressed with its abilities. SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE The Harley-Davidson FXDR 114 has the Milwaukee-Eight 114 motor (1868 cc) and produces 119 ft lbs of engine torque. It will throw some heat up at your legs so be aware of that. Standard with the FXDR is an LED headlight, signals, and taillight. The Harley FXDR 114 comes with a 6-speed transmission, cable clutch, and comes standard with ABS. It’s equipped with a 4.4-gallon fuel tank and Harley says it gets an estimated 46 mpg. We dive in deep and discuss everything you need to know about this new bike from Harley in this podcast episode, so take a listen!
