If you're looking for someone who blends the heart of a community advocate, the mind of a marketing strategist, and the soul of an 80s music lover—you've found her. Brandy Alvarado-Miranda isn't just a name in the AV world—she's a force of nature. When she's not courtside cheering on her kid's basketball game (or the Lakers & Sparks), you'll find her chasing waves at the beach, getting her hands dirty in the garden, or spoiling her adorable pug and corgi duo. A true SoCal spirit, she lives for tacos, margaritas, and the synth beats of Depeche Mode—preferably all at once. Brandy dove into the AV industry in 2014 and never looked back. After gaining experience across engineering, manufacturing, and themed integration, she made the bold leap during the pandemic—launching BAM! Marketing & PR Agency in 2021. Since then, she's helped dozens of Pro AV and Digital Signage brands find their voice and amplify it across the industry with strategic branding, impactful content, and fearless creativity. She's dubbed her clients her #BAMily, and has created an ecosystem that not only connects them to work on projects together, but to team up to network. But Brandy doesn't stop at business. She's a passionate advocate for women in tech, founding WAVIT in 2023—a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting women in AV/IT. From her leadership with the AVIXA Women's Council to her mentorship and advisory roles, Brandy is determined to leave the AV industry better, stronger, and more inclusive than she found it. With titles like Woman of the Year in AV, Pro AV Watch Lister, AV Living Legend, and DSE Advisory Board Member, her accolades are impressive—but her mission is simple: to empower others, create meaningful change, and rock out to some 80s jams while doing it. Brandy Alvarado-Miranda: marketing superhero, AV trailblazer, taco connoisseur, and always tuned to WII-FM—What's In It For the Mission. -- Critical Mass Business Talk Show is Orange County, CA's longest-running business talk show, focused on offering value and insight to middle-market business leaders in the OC and beyond. THE FBI's investigation into the shooting of Charlie Kirk has turned up a disturbing connection to an Antifa-linked group called the John Brown Gun Club. John Brown was a violent Civil War-era abolitionist who believed the institution of slavery could only be purged ”with blood.” His memory has been invoked by a leftist organization linked to Antifa that seeks to militarize the white working class against symbols of what it perceives as oppression—like the police. The Texas-based Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club, the transgender group behind the July 4th shooting at the ICE facility in Alvarado, Texas, co-hosted educational workshops in 2023 with Armed Queers SLC, the Salt Lake City group linked to 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, the alleged shooter of Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025. The founder of Armed Queers SLC, Ermiya Fanaeian, is a prominent activist in Utah who appeared onstage at a rally for then-presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren in 2019 and posted a video with a colleague about their May Day 2025 trip to Cuba to study revolution alongside Palestinians. Where will this investigation lead? Time will tell, but, contrary to the claims of Candace Owens, the evidence is not pointing towards Israel. What does it take to thrive in the highly complex and male-dominated financial industry? This episode of Master Builder highlights the journey and achievements of Sara Alvarado, a powerhouse in infrastructure finance whose career has spanned continents, crises, and industry and policy overhauls. With co-hosts Riccardo and Shormila, Sara shares how her experience as an immigrant shaped her resilience. She details her role in defining infrastructure as an asset class in Canada and describes the unique combination of ever-growing policy and risk expertise that has kept her on a steady career trajectory for more than 30 years. From spearheading early renewable energy financing deals to helping shape global UN guidelines on digitalization and gender equality, Sara reminds us that success is driven by more than technical skills—it calls for hard work, curiosity, and passion. This conversation is an opportunity to explore the interplay of finance, infrastructure, and social impact. Sara recently received the King Charles III Coronation Medal for her sustainable finance contributions and is a true Master Builder—one who has already begun to shape her legacy.Key TakeawaysHow Canada's early renewable energy boom helped define infrastructure finance as we know it;The impact of the 2008 financial crisis on infrastructure as a stable, long-term investment; Why policy, finance, and technology need to move in tandem to shape meaningful change; The one trait Sara prioritizes over everything else when building successful teams;A behind-the-scenes look at how UN working groups are driving global change.Quote:“I think there's a catalytic point. It is in our brains and we feel the need to do more. So it's either moving into something different, moving into a much more senior role, decision maker, leader position, or you can move into boards. And that will come at different times for different females. But what I want them to know is, yes, there is a second career curve. And it can be hard because you're learning something else. But it is very rewarding. And it happens at a time where females are much more confident.” - Sara AlvaradoThe conversation doesn't stop here—connect and converse with our community via LinkedIn:Follow Navigating Major Programmes: https://www.linkedin.com/company/navigating-major-programmes/Follow Riccardo Cosentino: https://www.linkedin.com/in/cosentinoriccardo/Read Riccardo's latest at https://riccardocosentino.com/ Follow Shormilla Chatterjee: https://www.linkedin.com/in/shormilac/Follow Sara Alvarado: https://www.linkedin.com/in/sara-alvarado-mba-cfa-b8315764/ Music: "A New Tomorrow" by Chordial Music. James Seltzer, in for Joe DeCamara on the the 94 WIP Morning Show, is against Jose Alvarado getting a standing ovation in his first game back with the Phillies after being suspended for PEDs earlier this season. Rob Thomson, last night, said it was an 'honest mistake' that Alvarado made, but James, Rhea Hughes, and Justin Dorazio were not buying it. Rhea made a good point- that the fans at the stadium stood and cheered more because the team has been winning rather than about Alvarado. Trea Turner has been playing awesome lately.
Jose Alvarado returned to the bullpen yesterday for the Phillies after serving his 80 game suspension for the use of PED's. To many Phillies fans surprise however Alvarado was welcomed back to a standing ovation. Joe Giglio is not a fan of a guy getting a standing ovation for letting the team down. How do you feel about Alvarado receiving a standing ovation?

Meet my friends, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton! If you love Verdict, the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show might also be in your audio wheelhouse. Politics, news analysis, and some pop culture and comedy thrown in too. Here’s a sample episode recapping four Thursday takeaways. Give the guys a listen and then follow and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. Superman Fans Go After Clay A fiery and humorous critique of Hollywood’s political messaging, with a sharp focus on the controversy surrounding the new Superman movie directed by James Gunn. The hosts open with a lighthearted jab at CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and his infamous Jeopardy performance, using it as a springboard to discuss media credibility and public perception. The bulk of the hour centers on the Superman movie backlash, where Clay Travis criticizes Gunn’s framing of Superman as an immigrant and the broader trend of injecting progressive politics into iconic characters. Travis argues that Superman should remain an apolitical symbol of universal values like truth and justice, not a vehicle for modern immigration debates. The hosts explore whether Superman is better understood as an asylum seeker rather than an immigrant, given his extraterrestrial origins and adoption by American parents. OH Rep. Jim Jordan Congressman Jim Jordan tout the recently passed Big Beautiful Bill’s middle-class tax cuts, investment in border security, and pro-growth reforms. They argue it will stimulate job creation, repatriate manufacturing, and shield Americans from inflation-driven tax hikes. The show also covers the evolving landscape of college athletics, focusing on bipartisan legislation to regulate NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) compensation. Congressman Jordan outlines a proposed federal framework to protect student-athletes, enforce agent transparency, and establish eligibility standards—aiming to bring order to what he calls a “broken” system. The interview wraps with President Trump’s rumored plans for a UFC fight on the White House lawn. TX Sen. John Cornyn A sobering update from Texas Senator John Cornyn on the devastating Hill Country flooding, which has claimed over 120 lives and left 170 missing. The hosts and Senator Cornyn explore the urgent need for improved flood warning systems and emergency preparedness, especially for nighttime disasters. Listeners are encouraged to support Texas flood victims through fundraising efforts promoted on ClayandBuck.com. The conversation shifts to a shocking ambush on federal law enforcement officers in Alvarado, Texas, where 11 suspects have been charged. Senator Cornyn condemns the attack and links it to escalating anti-police rhetoric, emphasizing the need for strong support of ICE and law enforcement agencies. Illegal immigration and border security take center stage as Cornyn praises the Trump administration’s efforts to restore control at the southern border. He highlights the renewed morale among Border Patrol agents and the shift from humanitarian overload to national security enforcement. Run Jasmine, Run! The high-stakes 2026 Texas Senate race. Senator Cornyn discusses potential challengers, including Ken Paxton and Jasmine Crockett, and the strategic importance of maintaining Republican control in a politically pivotal state. The hosts speculate on whether President Trump will weigh in on the primary, underscoring the national implications of the race.
