Ronnie and Rick go over the state of Burleson and the state of the campaigns, and of campaigns in general. Very candid observations made.
A great show with Ronnie Johnson today. Through the entire interview, he never used the phrase "I did this" or "I did that". It was always, always "We as a council (or School Board) did this". He didn't spend any time complaining how mean people were being to him or his supporters, he was always putting the Burleson residents, ALL of them, at the forefront. Pay particular attention to the issues on security, especially school security, and you'll know his time has been well spent these last thirty years.

Catch today's show with Place 6 Council member and candidate for mayor Ronnie Johnson. A very informative discussion of interest to the local voter.
From an early age, Messiah has been involved in the entertainment industry. The eldest of four kids, he grew up in a talented family, and beginning at the age of six, accompanied them to perform Gospel music throughout the UK, Canada, and the United States. By the age of nine, Messiah's mother recognized how versatile he was and enrolled him in acting, where he landed his first role on Broadway. This venture enabled Messiah to grow as an artist while obtaining the skills necessary to expand his craft. As the family's profile grew, they decided to move to New York, where Messiah learned to play the drums, finesse his vocal range and write his own songs, and subsequently develop an interest in music production. Having worked with such artists as Frank Ocean,50 Cent, Andre 3000, Fantasia, Mario, Lil Mo and more, he also had the opportunity to be mentored by music legends Bruce Wayne, Chris Styles and Ronnie Johnson. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thefatherstruth/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/thefatherstruth/support

In perhaps our last podcast for the football season (though we’ll probably have one when Purdue names their new head football coach), we take a quick look at the upcoming Bucket game against Indiana, which we’re not too optimistic about. We also discuss a little bit of the Wisconsin game, but mainly talk about potential football coaches for Purdue. We then shift our attention to Purdue’s closer than expected win against Georgia State and how Purdue might do against Utah State in the Cancun Challenge this week. In addition, we obviously discuss the potential of playing Ronnie Johnson if Purdue were to face Auburn in the 2nd game of this tournament. Learn more about your ad choices. For decades, Ronnie Johnson woke up in the late afternoon, and fixed a lunch to bring with him 2,000 feet underground, as he worked all night in a coal mine. In this episode of Gravy, his son, Caleb, tells the story of the evolution of his father’s lunchtime ritual, as the mining industry in Alabama has changed. Caleb tells a personal narrative of his dad’s lunches and the logistics of eating a meal so far underground, but it’s also one of a family reckoning with a changing economy, and the story of coal’s impact on Alabama.
