Investigadores da Universidade de Lisboa estão a tentar desenvolver um inibidor de uma proteína envolvida no cancro colo-rectal e pancreático.

5-9-25: "La noche le es propicia" (1992), poemario de José Agustín Goytisolo José Agustín Goytisolo Gay nació en Barcelona, el 13 de abril de 1928. Perteneció a la llamada Generación del 50′, junto a Ángel González, José Manuel Caballero Bonald, José Ángel Valente, Jaime Gil de Biedma, Alfonso Costafreda o Carlos Barral ente otros. Realizó estudios de Derecho en las Universidades de Barcelona y Madrid. La muerte de su madre Julia Gay, ocurrida durante un bombardeo aéreo de la aviación franquista sobre la ciudad de Barcelona en 1938, produjo una sacudida brutal a toda su familia, pero especialmente a José Agustín, que puso el nombre de su madre a su hija, a la que más tarde dedicaría una de sus poemas más conocidos: Palabras para Julia. En 1993, reunió en Elegías a Julia Gay, todos los poemas dedicados a ella, que habían aparecido, la mayor parte de ellos, en su primer libro de 1955: El retorno y los de otro, de 1984: Final de un adiós, con el que quiso cerrar esa vieja herida. Además de ser uno de los más grandes poetas españoles del siglo XX, fue un notable traductor, entre otros, de: Cesare Pavese, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Salvador Espriú y Pere Quart. Obtuvo entre otros galardones: Un Accésit en el Premio Adonáis, en 1954 por El retorno. El Premio Boscán en 1956 por Salmos al viento. El Premio Ausias March en 1959 por Claridad. El Premio de la Crítica en 1992, por su obra La noche le es propicia. Murió en Barcelona, 19 de marzo de 1999. Varios de sus poemas han sido musicados, entre otros, Palabras para Julia, El cuento (El lobito bueno) y Me lo decía mi abuelito, por Paco Ibañez, o Historia Conocida, por Joan Manuel Serrat.

As covas de injustiça nos isolam, nos excluem e a impotência diante dos apontamentos amarram nossas mãos impedindo nossa adoração. Os questionamentos e a falsa culpa tentam roubar a nossa paz e a mente se torna um agente torturador. A cova é fria, é horrenda, é blindada e por mais que se grite ninguém pode ouvir sobre nossa inocência. Mas, inocente atrai o Valente. O Anjo do Senhor será enviado para te respaldar, virá incumbido para te separar e encarregado para te livrar. A cova era para que você silenciasse sua fé, aceitasse a falência dos teus fundamentos e desistisse dos teus posicionamentos. Homens são competentes para te lançar na cova, mas para te tirar de lá só o Rei. E quando Ele te chama, Ele te livra. Quando te livra, te inocenta. Quando te inocenta, te honra. O anel real abre o que o inimigo fechou, e traz escape ao que o inimigo deturpou. Não abra suas janelas, não exponha sua intimidade, mas se elas te denunciarem, passe pela cova sabendo que elas te ligarão ao rei e te reposicionarão a um lugar ainda maior de autoridade. As exposições do teu secreto não promoverão tua morte, mas serão cicatrizes públicas de um inocente que não se vendeu. Entregue ao Senhor a tua integridade e saiba que o processo da falsa acusação fará gerar sobre teu destino a realidade de uma grande aprovação .

Tras la muerte del emperador Joviano, necesario e incómodo emperador de transición tras el desastre de la campaña persa, un nuevo emperador surge en Roma: Valentiniano, un soldado panonio de la vieja escuela. El nuevo príncipe recibe, como herencia, un imperio derrotado y asediado, por lo que una de sus primeras actuaciones de gobierno será dividirlo, delegando el poder de la parte oriental en su hermano Valente. Dividido así el imperio, Valentiniano marcha hacia el oeste (la parte que atravesaba más dificultades) y establece su corte en las ciudades cercanas al Rin (ya Lutecia, ya Augusta Treverorum), a fin de estabilizar la situación en un limes desbordado desde la guerra civil que enfrentó a Magnencio y a Constancio II diez años atrás. A pesar de ubicar sus cortes en estas latitudes periféricas, Valentiniano nunca perdió de vista Italia ni la ciudad de Roma, en donde su senado y sus aristocracias – envalentonadas tras la política pro pagana de Juliano – plantarán cara al nuevo emperador, al que consideraban un bruto advenedizo muy alejado de los valores romanos tradicionales. ¿Cómo será la relación de Valentiniano con estos senadores arrogantes? Este espejismo de resurgimiento de la ciudad de Roma y de sus valores paganos, nos dará la oportunidad de estudiar la actuación de algunos de sus grandes representantes: Símaco o Pretextato. Y nos permitirá, así mismo, hablar de la enérgica reacción de los cristianos. No en vano, asistimos ahora a la “Edad de oro de la patrística occidental” de la mano del papa hispano Dámaso, de Ambrosio de Milán o de Hilario de Poitiers entre otros. Grandes nombres, interesantes personajes, paganos y cristianos, que poblarán el complejo universo cultural y religioso que se desarrolla bajo el reinado de Valentiniano en occidente.
