First Baptist Belton exists for the sole purpose of knowing Jesus intimately, serving Jesus passionately, and sharing Jesus globally. Our desire is to know Jesus, have a passion to serve Him, and to share Him with others here and around the world.
Christ's resurrection was the beginning of the new creation - God's plan to redeem fallen humanity and create all new things as heaven and earth draw closer through the coming of his kingdom.
The fundamental proclamation of the Church is not only that Christ died, but that he arose from the grave and lives forevermore. In this Easter Sunday message, Pastor Marc Sharp rejects a toothless concept of a spiritual or metaphorical resurrection, and proclaims that the actual, physical resurrection of Jesus Christ took place in human history, and that all of history itself hinges on that single event! Raster marks the date that Christians celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus, the most important event in History. If the Resurrection was a lie then Christianity is dead and a colossal waste of time. If the Resurrection is true, then Jesus is God, the Gospel is true, and there is hope for our future and our lives right now.
And Jesus came and stood among them. He said, because you have seen me, you have believed. Earlier, Thomas had not been there at Jesus' first appearing to His disciples. At that time he said he could not believe unless he could touch the wounds in Jesus' hands and in his side. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. Thomas had opinions. He had questions. He had doubts. Jesus had to appear again and show Thomas so that he would believe. Who among us can believe without seeing? But we believe because of all we have experienced through study of God's Word and the experiences in our own lives. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Amen

Connecting People to God in Christ
Corner-Stone Baptist Church
This year, we're going to look at the account of Jesus appearing to the disciples, and the struggle to believe. Many people in our world -- and in our churches -- struggle with questions and doubts about their faith. It shouldn't surprise us that this question is faced and addressed in the Easter experience itself. Well see how Jesus compassionately and helpfully dealt with the doubts of one of his disciples ... and reflect on what that means for us and our loved ones.
Every Nation, Every Generation for the Glory of God!
Doubt we all have it and nobody likes to talk about it especially when it comes to matters of faith. Perhaps it is because we have been thinking about doubt in the wrong way all along thinking perhaps it kicks us out or that it is the opposite of faith. Yet maybe even doubt has a purpose in our lives not to drive us away from faith but to call us to faith in the presence of Jesus after all the first response to the most important event in the history of the world was doubt yet Jesus used those very people to go and to share the message of what they had seen. Perhaps your doubts and questions instead of sending you away will bring you and maybe even someone else closer to Jesus today.

Encounter With Jesus A Fishing Story
Encounters with Jesus: “True Believer”
We all want things. In fact, among all our desires, many can be counted as noble, God-honoring desires. Yet sometimes our desires are not brought to fruition. We wait, and wait, but God is in control, and sometimes chooses to leave our desires unfulfilled. Dr. Sams reminds us of the pitfall of conditional belief - deciding only to believe if God fulfills our desires. When we choose to believe regardless of our circumstances, we find peace in Christ. Watch, and see an interview with members of our own community choosing to believe, regardless of disappointment in the midst of a long wait on God.

Am I the only one who struggles with the guilt of not measuring up to my religious up bring? Does anyone else have trouble forgiving themselves? Why can’t I forgive those people for what they did to me? How do I overcome my fears, my addictions, temptations that seem like demons that haunt my soul? You are not alone, we all have these struggles, and Bible characters faced what you and I face. “It’s A New Day” and time for a fresh start with God in your life.
To the disciples, and to us, Jesus spoke of peace, purpose, provision, proclamation, proof, and promise.
Jesus wants to help me overcome any doubts.
Thomas doubting that the disciples had seen Jesus
Pastor Phil preaches on Easter Sunday about the resurrection of our Lord. Do you doubt the resurrection? Does it seem too good to be true? Even Thomas, one of the disciples, doubted that Jesus had, in fact, risen. Ask for Jesus to meet you, and He will.

What Happens When You Miss Church?
We must become consistent & self-sufficient in our walk with Christ. That happens when we verbalize our fears & proclaim our promises. Few bigger misconceptions exist than the notion that internalizing hurt & privatizing our faith are positive steps in our Christian walk. Our mouths are instruments of warfare against the spirits of fear & depression. It's up to us to arm ourselves properly. Open your mouth and watch the anointing of God positively impact your life!
