Legends, Loot, & Lore: A Players's Guide to Dungeons and Dragons
Ever wondered how a bustling work life or the dizzying heights of prom excitement can coexist with the immersive world of Dungeons & Dragons? Catherine and Fable join us for an enthralling session where we traverse the landscape of Phandelver, confront the trials of Tresendar Manor, and engage in a lively debate about the spirit of gameplay. As Catherine juggles her professional commitments, she brings her sharp insight into the structured chaos of our ongoing campaign. Meanwhile, Fable, on the cusp of prom night, shares her love for the whimsy and mayhem of a more spontaneous D&D adventure. It's a conversation that captures the essence of why we roll the dice – for the stories we create and the bonds we forge, whether we're following the rulebook or rewriting it as we go.But it's not all dice and character sheets in this episode. The discussion takes a sharp pivot as we face the complexities of a recent television controversy head-on, dissecting a maelstrom sparked by a character's portrayal in dark makeup. We peel back the layers of intent, perception, and the media's responsibility in the delicate realm of racial sensitivity. Through the lens of D&D enthusiasts and storytellers, we examine the crossroads of artistic expression and cultural awareness, leaving no stone unturned. Join us for a conversation that doesn't shy away from the difficult questions, as we reflect on our role as consumers and creators in the evolving narrative of inclusivity and respect.Gummyquest on KickstarterConverse x Dungeons & DragonsLEGO Dungeons & Dragons Support the show1. Legends, Loot, & Lore: A Players's Guide to Dungeons and Dragons
Have you ever considered joining a gang of ruffians just to see if you could dance your way out of trouble? Well, we did just that in the latest escapade of Legends, Loot, and Lore! James, Fable, and Catherine (congrats on the new job!) found themselves wading through the murky waters of Phandalin's politics and power struggles, with a side of spell-slinging action at the Sleeping Giant tap house. From debating the moral ambiguity of recruiting a Redbrand for our B&B to sharing a chuckle over terrorizing the town master, our journey is a whirlwind of wit and wizardry.Theo Pimble sat down to share his wisdom on the weight of one's name and the legacy it carries, adding a touch of gravitas to our otherwise light-hearted narrative. We also entertained the prospects of Greska's Freska's food truck and the future of Tresendar Manor, weaving in themes that span from comic relief to heartfelt heroism. Our episode is a tapestry of strategic maneuvers and the charming chaos that only a tabletop RPG can deliver—complete with a round of applause for a well-aimed Eldritch Blast and a flurry of monk blows.Wrapping up with a discussion on the potential redemption of Phandalin's less savory characters, we delve into the complexities of extending second chances and the fine line between trust and naivety. Striking a balance between the serious and the ludicrous, we debate the logistics of a B&B run by former thugs and goblins, discovering that even the most fantastical worlds face practical problems. So, grab your dice and join us for a session that promises as much laughter as it does contemplation. Background music and effects from Pocket Bard. Support the show1. Hi Everyone! In this week's episode, the party dawdles in Phandalin for a little bit, and then heads to Tresendar Manor, with their prisoner in tow, to see what they can do about the town's Redbrand problem.
With Glasstaff now captured the Four Stones continued on under the Tresendar Manor freeing Mirna and her two children from the Redbrand’s slave pen. On the way out of the hideout the Four Stones found Aldermath hanging by his feet from the ceiling and when Splendorous went to untie the trap he too was drawn up into the air by Narth in an unexpected game of pass through the loop. The Four Stones then defeated the last of the Redbrands and marched into Phandalin to lock up Glasstaff and Narth in the Townmaster’s Hall.

Hey...stranger...It has been a long time... Did we just make things weird? I feel like we just made things weird... Well, we have an amazing episode for you this week. It is a Bonus One-Shot that we are calling "The Misadventures of the Deepfoot Clan: The Jungles of Chult" our friend Ryan from Roll 4 Initiative joins us in this special goblin themed episode. Come give it a listen, and remember to tell all the peoples about us. Give us a Rate and or review and check us out on twitter @dmstable using #RollWithAdvantage. Also, go check out Roll 4 Initiative on YouTube The last orders that Cchio gave The Deep Foot Clan was that the goblins were to go to Phandalin bearing the symbol of the Golden Stag. It is there that they were to fix up the mansion known as Tresendar Manor. On the Clan’s travels, they rescued some survivors from a nearby goblin clan known as The Cragmaw Clan. They had been brutally massacred by some evil miscreants and were wandering aimlessly trying to steal what they can. The Deep Foot Clan took in the survivors, swelling the clans numbers to 20 strong. They taught the survivors the ways of kindness that their Prince Cchio once taught them. In the passing months, some progress was made to the underground halls of Tresendar Manor, but money has run out and a few the clan members are starting to get itchy for a little high adventure. And, wouldn’t you know it, a Monk dressed in red and gold robes has just arrived promising just that. The only catch is, you will have to travel to the mythical lands of Chult in search of some information on an artifact known as the Soulmonger.
