The offseason has begun! Surely the Brewers will be signing all sorts of free agents, right? Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe, both of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, highlight some of the interesting calls, including news that Rickie Weeks won't return in the same role in 2026. They look at what happens next for Brandon Woodruff, the intriguing roster decisions still out there (namely Andrew Vaughn), the addition of Coleman Crow to the 40-man roster and more. Is it possible there is anyone on the free-agent lists that would work for the Brewers? JR continues to seethe about the Dodgers, meanwhile.

JD Vance emerged as a media darling with “Hillbilly Elegy,” his best-selling 2016 memoir of growing up poor in Ohio, but it's just one of several hats he's worn—Yale-trained lawyer, Silicon Valley venture capitalist, Never Trump pundit, Pro-Trump senator, and Vice President of the United States—all by the age of 40. On this episode, host and Vanity Fair editor Radhika Jones is joined by executive editor Claire Howorth and Hive editor Michael Calderone to trace Vance's populist ride through America's power centers and how his right-wing ideology dovetails with a burgeoning constitutional crisis. They also explore how Vance is shaping up as Trump's Veep—and whether he has the political chops to one day land the top job. Learn about your ad choices: dovetail.prx.org/ad-choices

Late Tudor England was a dangerous place, with plots both at home and abroad, and no certainty about who was going to succeed the ageing queen, Elizabeth I. Into this perilous world stepped Robert Cecil, a brilliant but unglamorous statesman and spymaster who played a pivotal role in keeping the country together and ensuring a smooth transition to the Stuart monarchy. Professor Stephen Alford speaks to Rob Attar about this unheralded titan of the Tudor and Stuart courts. In this in-person sit-down interview held near Valence, France on July 8, Elena Danaan discusses recent updates she has received concerning the disclosure of the Solar Warden space program, the existence of extraterrestrial life, and the release of advanced technologies such as medbeds. She says that the pace and extent of disclosure is currently affected by Deep State plans to subvert any disclosure plan to prolong their hold on power. Danaan explains how any attempted disclosure of extraterrestrials or crypoterrestrials would be twisted by the Deep State into a false flag operation promoting fear and confusion rather than hope and a Star Trek future. In addition, she discusses how highly evolved galactic beings perceive consciousness and the fractal nature of reality.
