MISSION, Texas - The City of Mission, Texas Citrus Fiesta and Go Mission Fund hosted their 2nd Annual Mission Veterans Parade on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022.The Rio Grande Guardian International News Service interviewed Lisa Rivera, executive director of Texas Citrus Fiesta about the parade."The highlight was all the veterans that participated. It was an honor to have them be part of it," Rivera said. "We had veterans that were 100 years old who served in World War II. We had a another veteran from World War II who is 96 years old. It was an honor to have them be part of the parade."In the evening Go Mission Fund hosted a drone display in honor of veterans.
