Send us a textDr. Andrew Ciccolini decided to serve in the military as a veterinarian, and he shares what that was like – both the challenges and advantages. But what continues to be a heart thread in Dr. Andrew's life is the impact of caring for a medically complex child, little Ethan. To build a supportive community during that time, Dr. Andrew developed a well-known Instagram following under the name @Okay_Vet. We also discuss Dr. Andrew's involvement in supporting telehealth programs to support the war in Ukraine as well as current projects like Serenity Vet, a relief platform aimed at providing innovative solutions to relief work. Our conversation highlights the importance of understanding and handling grief while balancing a demanding veterinary career. Welcome to the #ShareYourHotness Podcast episode 158! Richard Davidson (Alkalarian) 1st * Keynote Speaker, Author, Heart Attack Prevention Advisor, Retired U.S. Navy Diver, CLO (Chief Longevity Officer), I Walk My Talk Richard Davidson was born in 1941 and raised in Salt Lake City, UT. His life journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, marked by a remarkable career in the U.S. Navy and a passion for promoting his own health and wellness through the concept of “Alkalinity”. In 1959, Richard enlisted in the U.S. Navy and demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill, achieving the prestigious rank of Master Chief Petty Officer (MCPO) and Chief Warrant Officer within 10 years. He acquired diving expertise in Para-SCUBA, Mixed Gas, and Hard Hat Diving, as well as qualifying as a Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician. After a distinguished service of 20 years, he retired from the Navy in 1982 as a Chief Warrant Officer (CWO4). Richard's entrepreneurial spirit led him to own a Sir Speedy Printing Center and as a Book Publisher from 1991 to 1996. During this period, he collaborated with over 700 authors, contributing significantly to the literary landscape. In 1999, Richard became an Associate at the Salt Lake City "Water and Wellness Center," where his journey towards advocating alkaline water and wellness began. Inspired by influential works such as "Alkalize or Die" (1992) by Dr. Theodore A. Baroody and "The pH Miracle" (2002) by Dr. Robert O. Young. Basically, Richard started the "Alkalinity Movement" in 2002. His dedication to promoting alkaline mineral water led to its introduction at the Water and Wellness Center in 2004. In 2007, Richard embarked on a 4-year sabbatical in Missouri, where he immersed himself in learning Dr. Mayr's 100-year-old natural wellness program. His commitment to health took a personal turn in 2009 when he experienced a "Massive Heart Attack." Recognizing the symptoms, he acted swiftly, and due to his active Alkalarian lifestyle, he underwent a successful recovery without any side effects. Richard's passion for educating others about the “alkaline” concept saw him conducting live classes from 2011 to 2015, and virtual classes from 2018 to present, spreading up-to-date awareness about the potential benefits of maintaining a balanced body pH level. Continuing his pursuit of knowledge, Richard explored works like “The Acid Alkaline Food Guide” by Dr Susan E. Brown (2004), "The Alkaline Cure" by Dr. Stephen Domenig (2014) and "Get Off Your Acid" by Dr. Daryl Gioffre (2018), further solidifying his expertise in the field. Richard's passion for wellness and advocacy for the Alkalarian lifestyle led him to establish the "Alkaline Club of America," aiming to certify one million "Alkalarian" individuals. He is currently dedicated to the "Heart Attack Prevention" business, resolute in his mission to save lives and prevent heart-related health issues. With his first book set to be released in 2025, Richard's influence is poised to grow even further. His journey will culminate in a possible TEDx talk and a promising professional speaking career. Richard is associated with influential figures like Jack Canfield, author of "Chicken Soup for the Soul," and actively participates in the National Speakers Association (NSA) Mountain West Chapter, alongside esteemed individuals and worldwide speakers, like Dan Clark and Kathy Loveless. For those seeking to embrace a healthier lifestyle through alkalinity, Richard Davidson is a trustworthy guide. Dying for your country has always been considered honorable. But what if “your country” sends you to die—not to defend your hometown—but to keep shipping lanes open for multinational corporations in the Red Sea?Many Christians still see military service as a badge of patriotism, a way to protect home and uphold duty. And with Pete Hegseth now scrubbing the ranks of DEI policies, removing rainbow flags from barracks, and halting transgender enlistment, some believe the military is finally turning a corner. But we need to ask: turning toward what?Because beneath the optics of reform, the machinery still grinds forward—sending Christian sons into foreign deserts and oceans to enforce someone else's “order,” while our own border remains porous and undefended. Here's our argument: Defending your homeland is biblical. Dying for your neighbor is noble. But joining a military that may send your son to fight for diversity slogans—or for the GDP of foreign nations—is not just a personal choice. It's a moral and theological question that Christian families can no longer ignore. This episode is brought to you by our premier sponsors, Armored Republic and Reece Fund, as well as our Patreon members and donors. You can join our Patreon at patreon.com/rightresponseministries or donate at rightresponseministries.com/donate.So—should you encourage your sons to serve? Or is the current military still too compromised to entrust with their lives? We'll walk through the recent reforms, the foreign entanglements, and what Scripture has to say about loyalty, love of country, and the just use of force.MINISTRY SPONSORS:Reece Fund. They Settled The Lawsuit, Arrested By His Agency. They settled the lawsuit after he was wrongfully arrested by the Sheriff of his own agency. The case, drew local, Statewide and Federal attention across various news outlets, highlighted issues with how the Sheriff's Office handled military leave policies. Despite being cleared legally, the impact of the arrest still follows him, posts about the incident on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and appearing in radio shows and podcasts like the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast, available on their website and on Apple, Spotify and most podcast platforms. He talks about the challenges he faced. While his name has been legally cleared, the stigma remains, affecting his career and reputation in both military and civilian circles. Follow the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Newsbreak, Medium and most all social media platforms. In a case marked by controversy, legal battles, and lingering consequences, Ian Murray, a U.S. military veteran and former corrections officer for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO), settled a lawsuit following a wrongful arrest by his own agency. But did he get cleared by them, or did they admit that he did nothing wrong? The free episode of the "Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast", is available on their website for free in addition to Apple Podcasts and Spotify, as well as through other podcast platforms. Murray's ordeal began when he was arrested by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office on charges of felony theft related to military leave as a reservist and member of the National Guard. The arrest and subsequent media coverage spread across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, affecting Murray's reputation and career. The news reached popular podcasts on Apple and Spotify, highlighting the complexity of the case. Look for supporting stories about this and much more from Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast in platforms like Medium, Newsbreak and Blogspot. Military Service and Early Struggles, They Settled The Lawsuit, Arrested By His Agency. Ian Murray's military career spans two decades, including a deployment to Afghanistan in 2017 and another deployment from September 2023 to April 2024. He reached his 20-year military anniversary in December 2022, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to serving his country. Murray began his tenure at the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office in 2009. However, tension arose quickly between him and a supervising sergeant regarding his military leave obligations. According to Murray, the hostility escalated, resulting in punitive measures, including an extended probation period that coincided with his military duties. Follow the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and podcast on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Newsbreak, Medium and most all social media platforms Murray sought assistance from Human Resources and the Fraternal Order of Police, aiming to address the perceived unequal treatment. Despite his efforts, the situation deteriorated. By 2014, he was instructed to change a military leave day to personal leave or face disciplinary action. When he complied, his request was denied, and a formal complaint was filed against him. The Arrest, They Settled The Lawsuit, Arrested By His Agency. In June 2014, Murray received orders to attend military training at Fort Devens in Massachusetts. Before departing, he used personal leave to spend time with his family. During this time, four members of the JSO Integrity Unit, dressed in tactical gear and displaying badges, arrived at his home to arrest him. The interview is available as a free podcast on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and podcast website, also available on platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and most major podcast outlets. The arrest sent shockwaves through local news, with outlets quickly publishing reports of the incident. Headlines such as "Corrections Officer Arrested for Grand Theft and Falsifying Official Documents" circulated, tarnishing Murray's reputation. The Sheriff's Office alleged that Murray had submitted falsified military leave requests, an accusation that cast a long shadow over his career. Murray later discovered that the Sheriff's Office had been monitoring his personal Facebook account, using family photos to build a case against him. These images were misrepresented as evidence of Murray misusing his military leave. The actions were not officially acknowledged or addressed by the agency. Check out the show on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Newsbreak, Medium and most all social media platforms The Aftermath and Lawsuit Settlement, They Settled The Lawsuit, Arrested By His Agency. Despite the arrest and accusations, the prosecutor's office eventually dropped the charges against Murray. He was never formally prosecuted for any criminal offense. However, the damage to his reputation remained. The allegations continued to appear during routine security clearance evaluations for his work as a defense contractor. In late 2022, after a lengthy legal battle alongside his attorney, Murray reached a settlement with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. The lawsuit confirmed that there was no wrongdoing on Murray's part, legally clearing his name. Yet, there has been minimal coverage of the settlement in traditional news outlets. Most of the public acknowledgment has come through podcasts and social media discussions on platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn. It is available as a free podcast on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and most major podcast platforms. To this day, Murray asserts that the Sheriff's Office has not publicly admitted any wrongdoing or taken steps to clear his name. In the podcast interview, he expressed frustration about the lingering effects of the false allegations. “Despite being legally cleared, those news reports still come up when I undergo security evaluations,” he shared. The case serves as a cautionary tale about the power of misinformation, the complexities of military leave policies, and the consequences of inadequate internal investigations. For Ian Murray, the fight to restore his reputation continues, even after the settlement of the lawsuit. Time is running out to secure the Medicare coverage you deserve!
