Atonement Season 2, Episode 8 Gospel Vocabulary In this episode of GraceWalk Radio, Derek and Caleb explore the meaning of atonement, describing it as the complete covering and removal of sin through the work of Jesus Christ. Drawing from both Old and New Testament imagery, they contrast the repeated sacrifices of the old covenant with Christ's once-for-all sacrifice that fully cleanses and secures eternal redemption. They emphasize that in Christ, believers are “covered” and seen as righteous before God—not because sin is ignored, but because it was fully dealt with at the cross. Ultimately, the episode highlights the depth of God's grace and the sufficiency of Jesus' finished work: our sin is removed, and in Him, there is no condemnation. Après un premier succès avec "Last Train to Clarksville", ils explosent mondialement en 1967 avec l'album "More of the Monkees" et l'incontournable "I'm a Believer". Attracting former residents back to Louisville — boomerangs, as they're known — could potentially be a way to increase the city's population. But there are challenges to it. LBF Senior Reporter Joel Stinnett joins us to talk about some of those issues on this week's Access Louisville podcast.Stinnett just wrapped up a cover story on the topic of boomerangs and how they fit into Louisville's growth strategy. The biggest stumbling block is the job market. In spite job gains in some sectors, Louisville doesn't have a lot of options for people holding advance degrees. Those jobs are often confined to bigger metropolises. Stinnett also looked at programs that small cities like Topeka, Kansas and Tulsa, Oklahoma have implemented in order to address a similar problem. After the boomerang discussion, we chat with Reporter Michael L. Jones about the financial troubles being experienced by Memorial Auditorium in Louisville and how a looming Metro budget cut may impact it. We also chat about an upcoming move by The Whirling Tiger, the closure of the Bristol Bar & Grille restaurant in Downtown Louisville and a pending relocation for Texas Roadhouse in Clarksville. Access Louisville, sponsored by Baird, is a weekly podcast from Louisville Business First. In December of 1996, 32-year-old Sharon McLane was found brutally murdered inside her Bedford, Texas apartment, stabbed and slashed more than fifty times in a crime that shocked the Mid-Cities area between Dallas and Fort Worth. Police quickly focused on Sharon's acquaintance, John Earl Nolley, and within months he was arrested, charged, and eventually convicted of her murder. But while investigators in Texas built their case against Nolley, another terrifying series of murders was unfolding hundreds of miles away in Tennessee. As Nashville-area detectives investigated what became known as the “Fast Food Murders,” authorities began connecting multiple brutal restaurant killings tied to a violent drifter and former fast-food employee named Paul Dennis Reid Jr. The murders stretched from Captain D's in Donelson to a McDonald's in Hermitage and eventually to the abduction and murder of two Baskin-Robbins employees in Clarksville. The crimes shared disturbing similarities: restaurant workers targeted during opening or closing shifts, robbery mixed with extreme violence, and victims executed by firearm or repeatedly stabbed. As Reid's history and alleged crimes came to light, Sharon McLane's defense attorneys began noticing troubling overlaps between the Tennessee murders and Sharon's killing in Bedford. Witnesses reportedly placed Reid at Sharon's apartment complex around the time investigators believed she was murdered. Others claimed Reid had previously been seen at Sharon's workplace. Hair recovered from Sharon's clothing reportedly did not belong to either Sharon or John Nolley, and witnesses later described Reid appearing with cuts on his hands shortly after the murder. The rise and fall of Paul Dennis Reid was at the expense of several lives, the horrifying Tennessee fast-food murders. And his arrest cast a shadow over the prosecution of John Earl Nolley. As investigators in Tennessee connected Reid to one of the region's most infamous murder sprees, questions continued to linger in Texas about whether Sharon McLane's killer had truly been identified, or whether another violent predator had passed through the Metroplex before the violence escalated elsewhere.Part two of three. If you have any information about the murder of Sharon Lucretia McLane, please call the Bedford police at (817) 952-2127.You can support gone cold and listen to the show ad-free at https://patreon.com/gonecoldpodcastFind us at https://www.gonecold.comFor Gone Cold merch, visit https://gonecold.dashery.comFollow gone cold on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, and X. Through relatable illustrations, they show that faith is simply the “empty hands” that receive what Christ has already accomplished, emphasizing that it is not faith itself that saves, but Christ alone. They also explore how faith sustains believers through suffering, helping them trust God's promises even when they cannot yet see the outcome. The Mercy That Comes After Judgment | Hosea 1:10-11

Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every day. Get your Hosea Scripture Journal now. Our shout-out today goes to Thomas Hughes from Clarksville, TN. Thanks for your partnership in Project23. Our text today is Hosea 1:10-11. Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be like the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or numbered. And in the place where it was said to them, "You are not my people," it shall be said to them, "Children of the living God." And the children of Judah and the children of Israel shall be gathered together, and they shall appoint for themselves one head. And they shall go up from the land, for great shall be the day of Jezreel. — Hosea 1:10-11 What happens after judgment? Many people assume judgment is the end of the story. But in the Bible, God often does something surprising. Right after some of the strongest warnings, he gives one of the most beautiful promises. That's exactly what happens here. Just after declaring "You are not my people," God speaks a promise that echoes all the way back to Abraham. "The number of the children of Israel shall be like the sand of the sea." The same God who announced judgment also promises restoration. One day, the people who were called "Not My People" will be called "Children of the living God." This is the heartbeat of the book of Hosea. Israel's unfaithfulness is real. Their rebellion carries consequences. But God's covenant love runs deeper than their failure. Even when his people run away, God continues pursuing them. Hosea's story is not just about ancient Israel. The apostle Paul later quotes this very passage in Romans to show how God's mercy extends even further—to all who respond to him in faith. God takes those who were once far away and brings them near. And notice something else in this promise. God speaks of a future moment when Judah and Israel will be gathered together again under one head. The divided nation will one day be reunited. Throughout Scripture, that ultimate "head" points us forward to a greater king—Jesus Christ. Through him, God gathers people from every background and nation into one family. This is the surprising pattern of the gospel. Judgment exposes sin. Mercy offers restoration. Grace creates a new people. So if you ever wonder whether failure is the end of your story, Hosea reminds us that it is not. The God who warns also restores. The God who disciplines also redeems. Today, take a moment to thank God for the mercy that follows judgment—and the grace that makes restoration possible. DO THIS: Take a few minutes today to thank God for his mercy in your life and remind yourself that his grace always invites restoration. ASK THIS: Why do you think God often gives promises of restoration immediately after warnings of judgment? How does knowing God's mercy shape the way you respond to your own failures? What does it mean for you personally to be called a "child of the living God"? PRAY THIS: Father, thank you for the mercy that follows your warnings and the grace that restores your people. Help me live today in the confidence of being your child. Amen. PLAY THIS: "His Mercy Is More"

They explain that justification is a finished work—being declared righteous by God through faith, not effort. Looking at Scripture, they show that no one can be made right through the law, but only through Christ, whose righteousness is credited to believers. This leads to the powerful truth of peace with God—not just inner calm, but the end of God's wrath and full reconciliation through Jesus. Ultimately, the episode calls listeners to rest in the gospel: there is no condemnation in Christ, and nothing we do can add to what He has already finished.Follow GraceWalk Radio on X: @gracewalkradioDerek Levendusky is the Lead Pastor at Redeeming Hope in Clarksville, TN. www.redeeminghope.orgCaleb Berg is one of the Pastors at GraceLife Church in Avon, NY. www.gracelifeavon.com

Gospel Season 2, Episode 3 Gospel Vocabulary In this episode, Derek and Caleb kick off a new series on gospel vocabulary by exploring the foundation of it all—the gospel itself. They unpack the difference between objective truth and subjective feelings, emphasizing that true freedom comes from anchoring our lives in what Christ has done, not in our performance or circumstances. The gospel is not advice or a call to self-improvement, but good news—an accomplished work through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Ultimately, they remind listeners that the gospel is the heart of the Christian faith: the finished work of Christ, received by faith, and the only true power for salvation.Follow GraceWalk Radio on X: @gracewalkradioDerek Levendusky is the Lead Pastor at Redeeming Hope in Clarksville, TN. www.redeeminghope.orgCaleb Berg is one of the Pastors at GraceLife Church in Avon, NY. www.gracelifeavon.com

New Book: Wounded by SheepSeason 2, Episode 2In this episode, Derek and Caleb discuss Derek's upcoming book Wounded by Sheep, a collaborative project exploring the often-overlooked reality of pastors and church leaders being deeply hurt within ministry. With honesty and grace, they unpack how suffering, relational wounds, and even betrayal can become tools God uses to shape endurance, character, and hope. Drawing from Scripture and personal experience, the conversation highlights God's sovereignty, the importance of forgiveness, and the need for lament and healing. Ultimately, this episode points listeners—leaders and church members alike—back to the sustaining truth of the gospel: Jesus is enough.Follow GraceWalk Radio on X: @gracewalkradioDerek Levendusky is the Lead Pastor at Redeeming Hope in Clarksville, TN. www.redeeminghope.orgCaleb Berg is one of the Pastors at GraceLife Church in Avon, NY. www.gracelifeavon.com

Jim Shannon and Todd Ritter welcome Devin Puckett, Brand Representative for Old Glory Distilling Co. out of Clarksville, Tennessee, to the Bourbon Road. Devin shares the remarkable origin story of Old Glory — from founder Matt Cunningham's days as a firefighter devising a distillery plan in his mid-twenties, through the COVID pivot to hand sanitizer that ultimately funded a towering 24-foot Vendome copper column still, to the 8,650-barrel warehouse that stands today. Devin also reveals his own path into the industry: a Ball State grad from northern Indiana who married into the Cunningham family, sold RVs, and answered a text message that changed everything. **On the Tasting Mat:** - **Old Glory Tennessee Bourbon Small Batch (90 Proof):** A grain-to-glass Tennessee bourbon distilled on a Vendome copper column still from a mash bill of 73% corn, 19% rye, and 8% malted barley, aged approximately three and a half years in new char #4 Kelvin barrels. Bright and clean on the palate with a dry finish, green apple, caramel drizzle, and light citrus — an accessible everyday pour at an approachable price point. *(00:09:50)* - **Old Glory Tennessee Bourbon Bottled in Bond (100 Proof):** Drawn from 15–20 hand-selected pot still barrels and aged five years — an extra year beyond the minimum bonded requirement — this expression steps up the complexity considerably. The same 73/19/8 rye mash bill opens into darker fruit, rich brown sugar, cardamom, cinnamon, and a wave of baking spices, with a noticeably fuller, rounder texture. *(00:30:34)* - **Old Glory Tennessee Bourbon Single Barrel #271 (121.7 Proof / 5 Years 9 Months):** Selected by master blender Caleb Martin, this cask-strength pot still expression offers an entirely different dimension — a lush dessert character of blackberry cobbler, buttery dark fruit, and a lingering finish that keeps unfolding. One of the early pot still barrels that helped define Old Glory's identity before the column still era. *(00:44:10)* From a cornfield off I-24 to nearly 9,000 barrels of aging Tennessee whiskey, Old Glory is a distillery doing it the long way — grain to glass, family owned, community rooted. With a double oak release on the horizon, 100% rye and wheat casks quietly maturing in the warehouse, and a thriving on-site restaurant and event venue, there's plenty of road ahead for Clarksville's homegrown spirit. If you find yourself between Nashville and the Kentucky border, Old Glory Distilling Co. is more than worth the detour.

Christ's love compels us—not guilt or obligation, but the powerful truth that Jesus died for us and was raised to life. When we truly believe that the only reasonable response is to live FOR Him and for the people He died for, allowing His love to shape how we live, serve, and show up every day.Our mission is to glorify God by equipping His people to change their world and by planting churches with the same world-changing vision.Website: https://mannastafford.church/Find us on: Facebook:   / mannastafford  Instagram:   / manna.stafford  TikTok:   / manna.stafford

In this episode of The Advisory Board Podcast, Dave Hansen sits down with friend (and quietly relentless operator) Dustin Ingle, co-founder of Insulation Commandos, to unpack what operational excellence actually looks like when you're building a franchise system from the ground up.Huge thanks to ClientTether for sponsoring this episode—because when the mission is faster follow-up, tighter ops, and better owner support, the right systems matter.what you'll hear in this episode1) a support model that makes people do a double-take (and still stays profitable)Insulation Commandos is running an unusually high support ratio—roughly one to two home office staff per franchise owner—and still operating “in the black,” even with 26 owners. The big idea: profitability and heavy support aren't opposites if the model is built intentionally.2) onboarding that eliminates the “waiting around to start making money” problemDustin breaks down their six-week ramp-up and the bottleneck most franchisors underestimate: trucks, wraps, equipment, shipping, and timing. Their fix was deceptively simple and wildly effective: a centrally located corporate operation in Clarksville, TN where trucks and equipment are delivered, wrapped, staged, and prepped. Owners come to training… and drive home in a turnkey, wrapped truck with tools, uniforms, and materials ready to roll.3) training that goes beyond “classroom confident”Their launch training is split into two phases:phase 1 (virtual): sales training with heavy role-play, installation basics, and building science certification (BPI level 1)phase 2 (in person): deep building science + hands-on work, including a full practice house built inside the warehouse (crawl space + attic), then two full days on real jobs—start to finish, including collecting payment and getting the google review.4) “month one revenue” isn't a wish—it's a planInstead of a one-size-fits-all marketing push, they tailor launch strategy by market tier. In dense markets, lead volume helps. In smaller markets, they lean hard into grassroots + local partnerships: chamber, bni, retail booths, yard signs, door hangers, postcards, homebuilder associations, and more—starting at least two weeks before opening.5) referrals are the long game (and the real margin play)Because insulation is often “one-and-done,” recurring growth comes from b2b referral partnerships: restoration, hvac, pest control, builders, home inspectors, roofers. Dustin calls out hvac as a major “honey hole,” and notes owners with strong partnerships tend to have significantly lower marketing spend as a % of revenue.6) they treat every launch like a mission… with an after action reviewStraight from military playbooks: an aar after launches (and again around 90 days) to capture what worked, what didn't, and what to adjust. Training evolves based on the real questions owners ask post-launch—measured by tracking how many calls an owner needs in the first 90 days and steadily driving that number down.7) the “swat team” concept for post-launch growth supportAs owners mature past year one, the problems get bigger (more trucks, bigger facilities, team growth). Meet my friends, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton! If you love Verdict, the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show might also be in your audio wheelhouse. Politics, news analysis, and some pop culture and comedy thrown in too. Here’s a sample episode recapping four takeaways. Give the guys a listen and then follow and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. The Cost of Things Clay points out the economy is going to be a central issue heading into the midterms and beyond. He also highlights President Trump’s first year in office, praising his administration’s achievements on border security and crime reduction. Clay underscores how Trump’s decisive actions have led to the most secure southern border in decades and dramatic crime declines in cities like Memphis, where murders are down 50%, assaults down 40%, and robberies down 60%. Nashville is also seeing historic lows in violent crime, reinforcing Trump’s “law and order” success story. Clay frames these wins within the EBC strategy—Economy, Border, Crime—that defined the 2024 election, noting that while border and crime issues have been largely resolved, the economy remains the key challenge heading into 2026 midterms. He candidly addresses lingering inflation concerns, rising consumer costs, and the political implications for Trump’s second year in office. She's Crazy! Clay dives into a discussion about a high-stakes congressional race in Tennessee’s 7th District, where Republican candidate Matt Van Epps faces Democrat Afton Bain. Clay warns listeners about Bain’s controversial past statements, including her disdain for Nashville, country music, and traditional family values, as well as her radical positions on gender and policing. He urges voters in Nashville, Franklin, Brentwood, and Clarksville to turn out for the December 2 special election, emphasizing that Democrats are pouring money into the race to flip a district Trump won by 20 points in 2024. Clay also tackles cultural flashpoints, criticizing Bain’s remarks about marriage and motherhood while advocating for expanded IVF support—a stance he credits President Trump for championing. The conversation explores broader cultural battles over family, ambition, and societal values, with listener calls adding personal perspectives. Ryan Girdusky Reads the Tea Leaves Data analyst Ryan Girdusky (host of It's a Numbers Game in the Clay and Buck podcast network) joins to break down early voting trends, turnout patterns, and what these signals might mean for the 2026 midterms. Ryan notes strong Democratic enthusiasm in special elections and shifting issue priorities, including healthcare, cost of living, and even AI policy, while reaffirming that immigration remains a strength for Trump despite media narratives. Where Are All the Good Men? Clay analyzes where the culture is on male and female relationships and where it all went wrong for women. It leads to a larger conversation about the difference between the sexes and how the Girl Boss era hurt women and became every man's fantasy.
