Honda Racing's president's desire for Aston Martin to dominante ASAP is bad news for Lance Stroll.Climb the ladder with me on Patreon: https://patreon.com/lawvsHRC's lead Koji Watanabe spoke to Aston Martin's F1 website about his excitement in working with Adrian Newey and the AMR project going into 2026 and beyond. What is clear though is that the ambition of Honda has reached a whole other level...especially given Toyota's increased involvement in Formula 1 in its expanded work with Haas. Is there room for Lance Stroll in all of this or is Papa Stroll's ever-dwindling control of the Formula One team a sign of things to come as the team evolves into the new era of the sport.Could we see a Saudi-backed Honda team led by Newey and the Strolls sent packing to salvage AM Lagonda?#f1 #astonmartin #lancestroll #astonmartinf1 #hondaracingteam #honda #redbullracing #adriannewey #papastroll #f1news #f1latest #f12026 #f1drivers #f1teams #f1updates #formula12026 #f1dramaThe End of the Stroll Era Begins Herehttps://youtu.be/YTJ-1T5SRxAGet 15% off at the Castore Official website with my special link: https://glnk.io/ryj2p/lawrence #AdCastoreAffCan't watch the ladder? The desire of all our soul is to remember you and your name.Genesis 48:1 Awhile later someone told Yosef that his father was ill. He took with him his two sons, M'nasheh and Efrayim. 2 Ya`akov was told, "Here comes your son Yosef." Isra'el gathered his strength and sat up in bed. 3 Ya`akov said to Yosef, "El Shaddai appeared to me at Luz in the land of Kena`an and blessed me, 4 saying to me, `I will make you fruitful and numerous. I will make of you a group of peoples; and I will give this land to your descendants to possess forever.' 5 Now your two sons, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, are mine; Efrayim and M'nasheh will be as much mine as Re'uven and Shim`on are. 6 The children born to you after them will be yours, but for purposes of inheritance they are to be counted with their older brothers.Genesis 48:7 "Now as for me, when I came from Paddan, Rachel died suddenly, as we were traveling through the land of Kena`an, while we were still some distance from Efrat; so I buried her there on the way to Efrat (also known as Beit-Lechem)."Genesis 48:8 Then Isra'el noticed Yosef's sons and asked, "Whose are these?" 9 Yosef answered his father, "They are my sons, whom G_d has given me here." Ya`akov replied, "I want you to bring them here to me, so that I can bless them." (ii) 10 Now Isra'el's eyes were dim with age, so that he could not see. Yosef brought his sons near to him, and he kissed them and embraced them. 11 Isra'el said to Yosef, "I never expected to see even you again, but G_d has allowed me to see your children too!" 12 Yosef brought them out from between his legs and prostrated himself on the ground. 13 Then Yosef took them both, Efrayim in his right hand toward Isra'el's left hand and M'nasheh in his left hand toward Isra'el's right hand, and brought them near to him. 14 But Isra'el put out his right hand and laid it on the head of the younger one, Efrayim, and put his left hand on the head of M'nasheh — he intentionally crossed his hands, even though M'nasheh was the firstborn. 15 Then he blessed Yosef: "The G_d in whose presence my fathers Avraham and Yitz'chak lived, the G_d who has been my own shepherd all my life long to this day, 16 the angel who has rescued me from all harm, bless these boys. May they remember who I am and what I stand for, and likewise my fathers Avraham and Yitz'chak, who they were and what they stood for. And may they grow into teeming multitudes on the earth."Genesis 48:17 When Yosef saw that his father was laying his right hand on Efrayim's head, it displeased him, and he lifted up his father's hand to remove it from Efrayim's head and place it instead on M'nasheh's head. 18 Yosef said to his father, "Don't do it that way, my father; for this one is the firstborn. Put your right hand on his head." 19 But his father refused and said, "I know that, my son, I know it. He too will become a people, and he too will be great; nevertheless his younger brother will be greater than he, and his descendants will grow into many nations." 20 Then he added this blessing on them that day: "Isra'el will speak of you in their own blessings by saying, `May G_d make you like Efrayim and M'nasheh.'" Thus he put Efrayim ahead of M'nasheh.Genesis 48:21 Isra'el then said to Yosef, "You see that I am dying, but G_d will be with you and will bring you back to the land of your ancestors. 22 Moreover, I am giving to you a sh'khem [shoulder, ridge, share, city of Sh'khem] more than to your brothers; I captured it from the Emori with my sword and bow."

Support the showSveriges Snabbaste Podcast!
Sabalenka wins Miami as the Sunshine Swing ends with a downpour for Novak Djokovic as he lost out to 19 year old Jakob Mensik in straight sets. The title was Sabalenka's first since that heartbreaking loss in the final of the Australian Open to Madison Keys and with it she cements her place a the top of the world rankings by opening up a 3000 point lead over No.2 Iga Swiatek. Swiatek went out to WC Alexandra Eala in another early shock loss for the former World No.1 and Joel, Kim and Chris question is it time for her to switch up her coach after not winning a title since Roland Garros last year?Elsewhere Djokovic declared his Miami form to be the best he had played since the Olympics where he won the gold medal, it wasn't enough for him to win the title in Miami but it did prove that the Murray partnership is on an upward trajectory. There is a 2010s themed mailbag that puts Kim and Chris to the test and Joel talks his anguish when Tim Henman used to face off against Andy Murray in a ‘favourite vs favourite' mailbag! They also preview the return to clay as Charleston gets under way and a number of 250s on the ATP Tour before the Monte Carlo Masters begins the clay court season proper next week.Roland-Garros Hospitality with Sports, Travel and Hospitality GroupTo guarantee the best seats in the house with ticket-inclusive official hospitality, visit https://bit.ly/4j6RYBzSOCIALSFollow us on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, plus email the show tennisweeklypod@gmail.com.MERCHPurchase Tennis Weekly Merch through our Etsy store including limited edition designs by Krippa Design where all proceeds go towards the podcast so we can keep doing what we do!REVIEWS***Please take a moment to rate and review the show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you get your pods. The Americans are coming for a US Open title with 4 American players into the last 4 across the men's and women's events. Could it be an all American double and one of Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe taking home the title along with Jessica Pegula or Emma Navarro? Trying to stop the American party in New York is World Number 1 Jannik Sinner who got his revenge over Daniil Medvedev for his Wimbledon loss and set up a semi-final against Britain's Jack Draper. Draper is the first British player to make the semi-final's since Andy Murray won the title in 2012. Can he match the achievement this weekend? Elsewhere Karolina Muchova made it into the last 4 for the second successive year having missed the first two slams of the season through injury. She had to battle a stomach bug as well as Haddad Maia but made sure she sealed her place in the last 4. Joel and Chris also make predictions as to who will win the semi-finals and what the scoreline will be so make sure you let us know if you agree with them!FUNGIBALLJoin the Revolution in Tennis Gaming with Fungiball at www.fungiball.io!

Smack dab in the middle of April as it's Tax Day, but you won't have to worry about yours truly adding any of that, surcharges, etc. as I've got plenty of sports chatter to get into as the latest podcast is here. On deck: (4:03) Another mea culpa from yours truly as I was unable to produce a podcast for you on Thursday due to unforeseen circumstances. I do sincerely apologize, and as of right now, all looks fine for a pod come this Thursday. (5:13) There wasn't a lot of drama over the latter part of the Masters in Augusta yesterday where Scottie Scheffler won his second green jacket in three years. The #1 player in the world has gotten off to a tremendous start this year, but can he carry this into the final three major tournaments over the next few months? I'll get into the performances of other golfers at the top of the leaderboard (Collin Morikawa, Ludwig Aberg, Bryson Dechambeau, in particular) Also, what happened to Tiger Woods as he had one of the worst ever majors in his illustrious career. How about Rory McIlroy as he's looking for his first major win in ten years? (21:57) It was a wild final week in the Association as OKC got the #1 seed in the West after Denver lost a brutal penultimate game vs. San Antonio. The Knicks crept up to get the #2 seed in the East, where the Bucks fall to three. Will Milwaukee get their act together, with or without Giannis Antetokounmpo in the lineup? The Sixers have been red hot heading into the play-in tournament where they'll host the Miami Heat on Wednesday night. I'll detail the top headlines heading into the next few days (ex. West play-in better than East. Can Sixers go on a run? What bout Miami who did it last year in this spot?) Will the Lakers win to set up a rematch of last year's Western Finals vs. Denver? Can Golden State make it in as an eighth seed? (40:38) We're just days away from the NHL season concluding. The only intrigue is who'll end up with the most points in the NHL when it's all said and done (Carolina or NY Rangers)? What about the bitter fight for the last wild card spot in the East? Four teams are separated by one point! Which of them will qualify? (Detroit, Philadelphia, Washington or Pittsburgh) Is it possible for the Arizona Coyotes to relocate to Salt Lake City starting next year? That's been the hot topic as of late where the ‘Yotes could trek to Utah before the 2024-25 season. (52:58) Today (April 15th) is Jackie Robinson Day, which was his first day in the Major Leagues 77 years ago today. I'll chime in on that and bring you up to date on what's happening as we're two and a half weeks in the marathon of the MLB. (59:02) The main bout in UFC 300 couldn't have ended any more dramatic with Max Holloway knocking out Justin Gaethje with seconds left in the final round. Is it the best ending in the history of the sport? (1:04:16) I'll spend a few minutes on the death of O.J. Simpson. Do I even need to get into what he and his name means, not only in the sports world, but pop culture, news and controversy surrounding the former NFL great? I'm honored to welcome in a new partnership to the podcast. Are you familiar with Olipop soda? If not, you'll definitely want to acquaint yourself with this healthy, crisp and refreshing beverage that has no GMO's, organic with natural ingredients that you can read. They have the classics (Vintage Cola, Root Beer, Ginger Ale, Lemon Lime) as well as new flavors that are irresistible (Banana Cream, Watermelon Lime and my favorite, Tropical Punch) Please go to www.drinkolipop.com, type in SODALOVE for 15% off of your purchase. Free time, one of life's most important commodities, often feels unfulfilling. But why? And how did leisure activities transition from strolling in the park for hours to “doomscrolling” on social media for thirty minutes?Despite the promise of modern industrialization, many people experience both a scarcity of free time and a disappointment in it. Here to explain why this is today's guest Gary Cross, author of “Free Time: The History of an Elusive Ideal.” We discuss a broad historical explanation of why our affluent society does not afford more time away from work and why that time is often unsatisfying. We begin with a survey of the past 250 years to understand the roots of our conception of free time and its use. By the end of the nineteenth century, a common expectation was that industrial innovations would lead to a progressive reduction of work time and a subsequent rise in free time devoted to self-development and social engagement. However, despite significant changes in the early twentieth century, both goals were frustrated, thus leading to the contemporary dilemma.Cross touches on leisure of all kinds, from peasant festivals and aristocratic pleasure gardens to amusement parks, movie theaters and organized sports to internet surfing, and even the use of alcohol and drugs. This wide-ranging cultural and social history explores the industrial-era origins of our modern obsession with work and productivity, but also the historical efforts to liberate time from work and cultivate free time for culture.

Israel is looking for a leader. God is looking for a leader. The leader Israel wants is a king like all the other nations. The leader God wants is a man after his own heart.1 Samuel 14 is a study in contrasts between these two leaders in the persons of Saul and his son Jonathan. Jonathan displays a heart of unflinching trust in God while Saul displays all the outward forms of religious ritual, but has a heart that is far from God.
Having considered the characteristics of Saul's behavior in 1 Samuel 14:24-46 which lead us to define him as a spiritual pretender, we now consider what effect that pretentious behavior had on the people of Israel.
How might a nature experience be purpose-built for healing? The Bloedel Reserve is a botanical garden with a very unusual design choice - no signage! There are no plant identification labels and (almost) no navigation signage. It's a space not meant for learning about nature, it's meant for learning about yourself. At the Blodel, the point is to slow down, focus on the moment, experience your body within nature, and to heal. Recently, a new and incredibly successful program - Strolls for Well-Being - has made this design intention come alive in new ways through a site specific program inspired by forest bathing. In the episode you'll hear about the purpose, intention and impact from the program's manager Robin Gaphni, who also leads one of the program cohorts focused on grief. From Ed Moydell, Blodel's Executive Director you'll hear about the unique purpose, history and planning of their 150 acres in the 1970s by psychology, environmental and landscape experts who designed The Bloedel Reserve as a nature-based environment for human healing.
