On Carmen's trip to the Pigeon Forge area, her desire for coffee led to a late night run to the store only to learn it wasn't that much of an emergency. One thing we know you desire during Holy Week is our special presentation of a reading from When God Weeps. Carmen has had the desire for the staff to spend a day at our new building and write scriptures on the floor before the actual flooring goes in. We did that yesterday and it made for a special day. Completing our last of three conversations recorded at the recent 50th and final Winter Carnival of Magic in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, we sat down with “Thrillusionist” David DaVinci. He closed the last night gala show with his breathtaking illusion and bird act. David traveled with the Ringling Bros. Circus and participated in the Zing Zang Zoom show plus he has worked cruise ships and casinos across the globe. His schedule is much reduced today as he concentrates on his passions of training birds, skydiving, and enjoying the great outdoors of Idaho. But life on the road as an illusionist is hard, and David tells us why as he uses his current situation to explain. While recently attending the 50th and final Winter Carnival of Magic in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, we chatted with Tiffany Sauvage (née Allen) who is 1) performing as Princess Tiffany at princess parties for children, 2) married to Boris Wild, 3) the first woman to join “Sleight Club” in North Carolina, 4) has a passion for seances, bizarre magic and horror films, and 5) performs as and lectures on the Georgia Magnet/Wonder. And she is only 34 years old! What a career so far and what potential she has for a great future. She is keeping magic history alive as she passes on the wonders that were the Georgia Wonder. This episode of Scandal Water contains adult themes and descriptions of violence. Listener discretion is advised. It's widely considered to be the longest and most infamous family feud in American history, providing the inspiration for everything from a popular game show to a Bugs Bunny cartoon and a Pigeon Forge dinner show. But how much of what we believe to be true about the legendary Hatfield and McCoy family feud is actually myth– or even false impressions created by the media? That's just one of the many questions we explore in this fascinating episode. Was it really the notorious hog incident that started the family feud? Were Johnse Hatfield and Roseanna McCoy truly the star-crossed lovers they've been made out to be, and if so, what happened with their romance? What exactly transpired during the brutal New Year's Day Massacre? And just how accurate is the 2012 miniseries starring Kevin Costner and Bill Paxton? Join us as we discuss all this and so much more! The show is also available on your favorite podcast app and the Scandal Water Podcast YouTube channel.
