In this Vacation Edition of the Greenside Up Podcast, Jordan and Jason catch up from the road—Jordan broadcasting from a family beach trip on Florida's Panhandle and Jason checking in from the mountains near Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. They swap stories about night crabbing, offshore fishing, Dollywood, cave tours, and even a behind-the-scenes look at the Bush's Baked Beans factory. Woven through the vacation highlights is a candid conversation about what it really takes to step away from your business: how Skyfrog Landscape has evolved since the "Siesta Key chaos" days, the impact of hiring and culture on being able to unplug, losing a key office manager, and why owners never fully "clock out." They also touch on industry events like Trees Florida, the Arbor Next youth program, upcoming trade shows, and a surprising win using AI ("Switchy") to diagnose a boat motor issue. It's a relaxed, real-world look at balancing work, leadership, family time, and the never-ending responsibilities of business ownership. Connect with Jason and Jordan:

Mustang enthusiasts “in the know” already know that the annual Ponies In The Smokies show is one of the top must-see events in the country. (To see why, check out our Podcast Playlist to see John and Mike's own coverage from last year's Ponies show.) With its assortment of fun activities, spectacular venue at the Sevierville Convention Center and close proximity to the famed “Tail Of The Dragon” driving route, PITS has become a bucket-list event. So it should be no surprise that Show Me Mustang Club President Jerry Watkins and club co-founder Mitch Mitchell decided to jump in Jerry's Shelby GT350 and head for Pigeon Forge, TN, to join in the fun. But while heading out to take on the Tail Of The Dragon before the show, catastrophestruck: They got broadsided by a Kia! They both survived the crash but the GT350 was totaled. How would they get back to their hotel from the hospital? What's going to happen to the car? How will they get home so far away from their home in St. Louis? Listen in as Jerry explains how some fellow club members and the Mustang Brotherhood and Sisterhood stepped in – not only to help them get around and experience the show, but also to even find a replacement ride for the smashed GT350. Listen in as Jerry reveals this incredible story (plus his new car) while John and Mike confirm what great friends we all have in the Mustang enthusiast community!Don't forget to Like, Subscribe and leave a Comment. Snap-on may be the headline brand, but it's not the only way to build a serious mechanic tool setup. We walk through the tool brands professional mechanics reach for when they want strong build quality, fair pricing, and a warranty that actually helps when something breaks. Along the way, we talk about what “premium tools” really means in a working garage, and why availability and easy replacement can matter more than status. We also get honest about the kind of buyer pain that never shows up in a catalog: the lifetime warranty that turns into a dead end. From a torque wrench that won't lock to the reality of ownership changes and manufacturing shifts, we share why researching warranty process and support is part of smart tool buying. If you're searching for the best Snap-on alternatives, best mechanic tool brands, or how to build a toolkit on a budget, this segment is built for you. Then we switch gears into pure car culture and driving destinations with seven national hot rod events to put on your calendar, from Goodguys shows and Pigeon Forge to the Woodward Dream Cruise. Send a textA family road trip should feel like a moving scrapbook—part planning, part luck, and plenty of laughter along the way. We set the tone with our “Lime Time” cocktail, a park‑day refresher built with gin, limoncello, lime, thyme, and sparkling water, then hit the highway with two coast‑to‑castle itineraries that turn the drive to Disneyland into a highlight, not a hurdle.First, we chart a Winston‑Salem to Anaheim route that hugs I‑40 and stacks Americana classics: a Buc‑ee's pit stop with spotless bathrooms and jerky walls, the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge for peak kitsch, and Nashville's Grand Ole Opry for a music‑soaked evening. Memphis brings Beale Street rhythms and a reverent walk through Graceland, before Route 66 legends take the wheel—Katusa's smiling Blue Whale, the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum, Shamrock's Art Deco gas station, and Amarillo's Cadillac Ranch where you can add your own paint to the ever‑changing canvas. We sleep in places that tell stories, from Conestoga wagons on a family farm to a historic Flagstaff icon, and keep drive windows sane with a 12‑hour max. Then we swing north from St. Cloud for a different flavor of wonder: South Dakota's Corn Palace and Wall Drug, a Badlands photo‑op that feels like Mars with bathrooms, and a quick detour to Mount Rushmore that sparks a family debate over a “Disney Mount Rushmore” (we nominate Walt, Mickey, Snow White, and the castle). Devil's Tower invites Close Encounters jokes, Yellowstone delivers bison traffic and geyser awe, and the Great Salt Lake reminds us not every swim is wise. A cheeky Vegas detour channels Vacation vibes before a merch‑heavy glide through Area 51, and finally the desert serves up Roy's Motel & Cafe neon and Elmer's Bottle Tree Ranch on the glide path to Anaheim. You'll leave with road‑tested pacing rules, can't‑miss Route 66 stops, family‑friendly detours, and lodging picks that turn “where we slept” into “remember when.” Mix a Lime Time, queue this episode, and steal our maps to craft your own cross‑country Disney story. If this sparked ideas, tap follow, share with your favorite road warrior, and drop your must‑stop attraction in a review—we're planning the next route with your tips.

Dolly Parton BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Dolly Parton has been remarkably active these past few days despite her recent health challenges that kept her away from public appearances since September 2025. The 80-year-old country music legend made headlines on Thursday, February 26th when she announced that East Tennessee Children's Hospital will now bear her name. According to multiple sources including People magazine and the hospital's official statement, Parton shared the news via video message wearing a stunning white jumpsuit with gold and butterfly accents. She emphasized her lifelong belief that every child deserves to grow up healthy, hopeful, and surrounded by love, calling the nearly 90-year-old institution's staff compassionate and skilled caregivers. The hospital's president and CEO, Matt Schaefer, stressed this represents far more than a simple name change, with Dolly's backing reinforcing their mission to provide world-class pediatric care. This announcement comes as Parton continues her philanthropic legacy in her home state of Tennessee. Her charitable work already includes her Imagination Library, which according to Halifax CityNews sends three million free books monthly to children, plus a one-million-dollar donation to Vanderbilt University's Medical Center that contributed to COVID-19 vaccine research.Looking ahead, Parton is preparing for her highly anticipated comeback to public life. According to Parade, she will make her first in-person appearance since 2025 at Dollywood's opening on Friday, March 13th in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where she's expected to serve as Grand Marshal of the annual Dolly Homecoming Parade. This marks her return after months of health procedures and recovery, during which she reassured concerned fans in October 2025 by stating, "I'm not ready to die yet. I don't think God is through with me. And I ain't done working."Additionally, Dollywood is expanding its reach beyond the Smoky Mountains through a partnership with Allegiant Air, launching a themed flight experience from Orlando on November 6th, 2026, transporting guests to Knoxville, Tennessee. The flight is cleverly designated as Allegiant Flight 925, a reference to her iconic "9 to 5" song.Parton also has her Las Vegas residency at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace scheduled to begin in September 2026, signaling her gradual return to performing after her health challenges.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI
Sam and Jeff are heading to Seattle and they're buzzing with anticipation. They've been researching Pike Market, debating whether to try clams and oysters, and considering a true crime tour. (Though they joke they'll probably be asleep by 10 PM anyway.)The conversation weaves through Nancy Grace's return to cover a missing person case and America's Most Wanted, before landing on their bigger plan: a trip to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Sam's planning to visit Dollywood, a True Crime Museum with six floors covering everything from medieval crime to serial killers, plus a Titanic Museum and Noah's Ark Museum.Between weekend stories about disappointing beer festivals and awkward comedy fundraisers, they share their struggle through an intense hot yoga class that left them repeatedly retreating to child's pose. One of them discovered they get faint when consuming cannabis while meal prepping, which led to ordering Alibaba Kebabs instead of cooking.Sam's been watching Love is Blind and questioning why contestants with ideal partners keep pursuing others, critiquing Stranger Things for making magical abilities contingent on coming-out storylines, and expressing outrage over Tyra Banks's handling of serious incidents on America's Next Top Model.Ready for some honest takes on travel plans, reality TV drama, and weekend adventures?

In the final episode of our Homeschool Dad Series, David Nunnery sits down for a heart-to-heart with David Mills about a topic that doesn't get talked about enough: the vital role of the father in the home. Let's be honest—it's easy for dads to feel like “the principal” or just the “financial provider.” But God has called us to be so much more. David Nunnery and David Mills dive deep into what it actually looks like to lead your family spiritually and educationally without feeling overwhelmed. From practical ways to engage in your kids' daily learning to the life-changing power of mentorship and finding your “tribe” through the Men's Alliance, this episode is packed with the encouragement every dad needs. Men’s Challenge: Tonight at dinner, you're the moderator. Instead of asking “How was school?”, ask these two questions: “How did you see God working in your day?” “What is one thing you learned today that surprised you?” Key Takeaways: Healthy men create healthy families, and healthy families create a healthy country. Men should not outsource their children’s education or spiritual growth. Homeschooling can happen in everyday situations, not just at a desk. Dads should ask their wives how they can support them in homeschooling. Dads should equip their kids with answers to tough questions about faith. Engaging in conversations with kids can happen naturally during daily activities. Is your family's sports schedule life-giving or life-draining? In this episode of the Homeschool Dad Series, David Nunnery and Owen Strachan dive into the “theology of the sidelines.” They discuss how coaching and athletics provide a unique “Deuteronomy 6” opportunity for fathers to disciple their children through shared struggle, hard work, and adversity. Learn how to set healthy boundaries, keep Christ at the center of the court, and use sports as a tool to build masculine character in a passive culture. Men’s Challenge: Sit down with your spouse this week and define your family’s “non-negotiables” regarding extracurricular activities. Whether it's protecting the Sunday Sabbath or ensuring you have dinner together at least four nights a week, establish these boundaries before the next season starts to ensure your schedule reflects your spiritual priorities. Key Takeaways: Theology is Practical: Theology isn't just for academics; it's about understanding God as a “self-giving Father” and reflecting that through sacrifice for your own family. The Power of Shared Struggle: Sports (or any craft like woodworking or music) provide a “common goal” that fosters deep relationships and allows for “sideline discipleship” during car rides and practices. Developing Masculine Character: In a culture that often penalizes assertiveness, sports offer young men a healthy outlet for aggression and a training ground for overcoming adversity. Guarding Against Idolatry: Families must set “non-negotiables” (e.g., no games on Sundays or Wednesday nights) to ensure sports remain a tool for growth rather than a master of the home. The “Attacking” Mindset: Teaching kids to “attack life” and expect adversity helps them build a Christ-centered identity that doesn’t cower when things get difficult. Inside the Magic reports that her cherished Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge slashed operations on December 14, closing at 6 p.m. instead of the full day due to biting winter weather, disappointing fans eyeing the Smoky Mountain Christmas festivities and highlighting the parks seasonal vulnerabilities. No direct involvement from Dolly herself surfaced there, but it underscores her empires ongoing heartbeat. Meanwhile, her name sparkles across yuletide stages nationwide, with Concerts50 listing a tribute show Dolly Partons Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol set for December 21 at Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center in The Villages, Florida, tickets fetching up to 187 dollars, alongside Ticketmaster noting a Greensboro, North Carolina, performance on December 17 and JCCC announcing one December 11 in Yardley Hall. The Carson Center and Iowa State Center echo similar tour stops through mid-December, proving her holiday musical legacy thrives via these polished productions. Business whispers from AOL hint at Dolly resuming oversight of her 650 million dollar empire, including Dollywood, despite recent health setbacks, though details stay vague and unconfirmed. House Beautiful revisited her festive flair, recalling from The Ellen Show how she decks multiple homes with themed treeslike water motifs at her lake houseand a 2024 People interview affirming she never skips family Christmas traditions. The Drinks Business recapped celebrity booze launches but slotted Dolly in last years roundup, with no fresh 2025 pours confirmed. Farther out, JamBase notes her Las Vegas residency kicks off September 2026 at Caesars Palace Colosseum, her first in 32 years, postponed from earlier health hiccups. In this conversation on the Homeschool Dad Series, Mark Hancock tackles the rising tide of challenges facing boys in modern society, offering a powerful call to action for parents and leaders. He breaks down the alarming statistics—including boys’ growing academic performance gap and their disproportionate representation in special education—and identifies the crisis of absent father figures and the damaging cultural narrative of “toxic masculinity.” Mark emphasizes that boys are desperately seeking a legitimate path to manhood and positive male leadership. This episode is an essential listen for anyone committed to equipping the next generation of men with the courage, character, and mentorship they need to thrive and reverse this dangerous cultural trend. Men’s Challenge: Commit to a simple, intentional activity with your son that models biblical manhood and builds lasting memories. Plan an adventure. This doesn’t have to be a big trip. It could be as simple as an afternoon hike, a fishing trip, building a fire in the backyard, or even learning a practical skill together, like changing a tire or using a power tool. The goal is to get away from the distractions of everyday life and into a different environment. Key Takeaways: The Crisis of Masculinity: Boys today are struggling in an environment that often labels their natural draw toward risk, competition, and activity as “toxic” or disruptive, leading to disengagement and confusion about their identity. Academic and Developmental Lag: Statistics show boys are falling behind girls in nearly every academic category, are more likely to be diagnosed with ADHD or learning disabilities, and are less likely to enroll in or complete college. The Father Figure Gap: A significant number of boys lack an active father figure in the household, creating a severe need for positive male mentorship to provide essential guidance, values, and character formation. A Call for Intentional Mentorship: Dads and “dad-like figures” are crucial. Boys require Christ-centered, male-centric leadership and mentorship—delivered through real-world examples and adventure—to help them find their identity and embrace the virtues of godly manhood. What do tacos have to do with homeschooling and parenting? Actually, the answer is everything! In this episode of the Home School Dad Series, host David Nunnery engages in a deep conversation with Israel Wayne about the vital role fathers play. They explore how simple things—like sharing a meal—can be the "secret sauce" for homeschool success, effectively fueling your family's discipleship. This conversation goes beyond academics, focusing on the biblical foundations for home education and the necessity of strong family relationships. Israel Wayne shares powerful insights on reframing homeschooling as an extension of parenting responsibilities, how dads can improve the fuel for success, and the critical importance of spending quality time with kids. The episode concludes with practical challenges for fathers to engage more deeply with their children's education and build strong, Christ-centered connections. Men's Challenge: Sit down with your wife and write out your family's one-minute "why" for homeschooling. Share with your children. Key Takeaways: Homeschooling is an extension of parenting, not a separate task. The goal of parenting is to prepare children for life. Strong marriages lead to effective homeschooling. Fathers must take responsibility for their children's education. Biblical teachings emphasize the role of fathers in discipline. Time spent with children is crucial for influence. Dads should lead the charge in homeschooling efforts. Prioritizing the Word of God is essential in family life. What does sharing your faith, fatherhood, and homeschooling have in common. Well, evangelism is a very important element of the Christian experience and discipleship that fathers can take the lead on. In this episode of the Home School Dad series, hosts Camden and David Nunnery engage with EZ Zwayne, discussing the vital role fathers play in homeschooling and evangelism. They explore how dads can overcome fears associated with sharing the gospel, the importance of understanding their identity as ambassadors for Christ, and the need for compassion in evangelism. The conversation emphasizes practical tips for involving children in outreach and the significance of leading by example. The episode concludes with a weekly challenge for dads to actively engage in sharing their faith with their families and communities. Studies from research companies like Barna and Lifeway show that fewer than 5% of all self-professing Christians have ever led anyone to Christ and less than 60% have even tried to share the Gospel. Clearly there is a gap of confidence, enthusiasm, and even identification with what it means to be a Christ-followers. Join us today to learn how fathers can help fill this gap and why they would even want to. Men's Challenge: This week, find a moment to connect a normal, everyday event to a gospel truth. This could be a scene in a movie, a difficult moment on the playground, or a conversation with a neighbor. The goal is to start thinking evangelistically by seeing how the gospel applies to everything. Key Takeaways: Dads can play a crucial role in homeschooling by being involved and supportive. Evangelism is often seen as confrontational, but it can be approached with compassion and care. Understanding our identity as ambassadors for Christ is key to sharing the gospel. Sharing personal testimonies can be a powerful form of evangelism. Discipleship includes teaching others to share their faith. In this episode of the Home School Dads series, David Nunnery is joined by Davis Carman, president of Apologia Educational Ministries, to tackle the essential role of a dad in the homeschool journey: encouraging and supporting his wife. Davis shares profound insights and actionable advice for husbands who want to move past feeling "lost" and become proactive leaders. This conversation is key for every dad committed to discipling his kids, strengthening his marriage, and fostering a confident, peaceful homeschool environment. Men's Challenge: Pay close attention to your wife's day without jumping in to solve problems. Observe her routines, listen to her tone of voice, and notice the moments she seems weary or overwhelmed. Based on your observations, choose one tangible, non-academic task to take off her plate for the entire week. This could be anything from handling all the evening clean-up to packing co-op lunches or managing the kids' bedtime routine. Make it your responsibility, and do it with a cheerful attitude. Key Takeaways: Own the Responsibility, Not Just the Workload: The wife carries the bulk of the day-to-day workload, but the husband must carry 100% of the responsibility for the family's mission and direction to prevent burnout. Create a Family Mission Statement: Dads should sit down with their wives and proactively develop a clear mission statement or "Elevator Speech" for why they homeschool. This acts as a compass when the school year gets difficult. The Three R's of Homeschooling: Prioritize Relationships (God, spouse, siblings), Reasoning (critical thinking), and Resolve (discovering God's calling) over mere academics. Be the Defender and File Keeper: The husband should be the one to defend the homeschooling decision to critics (friends, family, in-laws) and handle the administrative duties (knowing state laws, keeping records, standardized testing sign-ups). Provide a Weekly Planning Retreat: A practical way to support Mom is to take the kids for a consistent 2-4 hour block (like a Sunday evening) so she can leave the house, decompress, and plan the week. This boosts her confidence significantly. Never Ask "What Did You Do All Day?": When re-engaging with the family after work, do not question her productivity. Instead, immediately engage by asking the kids what they learned and taking the leadership role (the "captain is home"). Lead Family Worship/Discipleship: Use the dinner table or bedtime as a "Deuteronomy 6 moment" for asking spiritual questions, having conversations, and leading family worship. Men's Challenge: Share a personal story with your children of a time when you (dad) had to be courageous, whether you succeeded or failed. Key Takeaways: Fathers play a crucial role in shaping their children's character. Courage in children is instilled through example and leadership. Joey was late to work because he finally saw a skunk in his backyard and he wanted to see how it got through his fence. Joey found a list of the top pop culture Halloween costumes for this year... we didn’t like any of them. Nancy’s son Ben and his friends wanted to go swimming at a waterfall. Nancy took them to Middle Fork Falls, but it was almost dry since there hasn’t been much rain. They still had fun catching crawdads in the little puddles of water. Joey has been taking his kids fishing more. His son Johnston caught a huge catfish!! Hot Tea: Keith Urban has made some music/touring changes since the divorce news came out. Luke Combs has passed Garth Brooks as the highest selling country artist. Zach Top got to drink fresh Coors beer at the place it is made and he said it was heavenly. Karly went to Pigeon Forge and visited Peppy the Parrot that the guy told us about yesterday. She tried to get it to say “butt crack,” but it wouldn’t. As Seen on TikTok! Joey's back! He was not feeling well over the weekend, but he's good now. There was a lot of drama at a car show in Pigeon Forge this weekend. The cops showed up yesterday and shut the entire festival down for the rest of the weekend. Monday Morning Wake Up Call with 6 Year Old Sammy! Joey had an "I told you so moment" with Karly. She went to the airport to buy cheaper plane tickets after judging him for doing it a few months ago. Hot Tea: Taylor Swift's new album crashed Spotify and has already broken streaming records. However, some fans aren't happy with the album. Lainey Wilson played a sold-out show at Bridgestone Arena and brought out several other country artists to sing with her. The Taco Bell 50k happened over the weekend in Colorado. Runners had to stop at 10 different Taco Bell locations and eat a menu item at each while running the 50k. Bobby from Pigeon Forge called us and told us all about the bird that lives in the hotel he works at. Its name is Peppy and its 35 years old. Peppy calls Bobby "butt crack" as a nickname. Joey went to Walmart to pick up some photo prints. The worker helping him wiped snot onto his arm before handing Joey the photos. Lucky 7 So many people have offered up money, tickets, and experiences to Rebekah, the new Vol fan from TikTok. So far, we have over $600, box seating tickets for a game, field passes, and hospitality passes to help get her to her first game! We play "Zach Top Never Lies!" Send us a textAt just 10 years old, Kalani already has the travel baseball rings to rival Tom Brady. He's been playing since he was six and has racked up game-winning runs, MVP titles, and even took home the “Fastest Runner” award at Ripken Myrtle Beach. That was also the site of one of his favorite memories—walking it off with the winning run and grabbing MVP in the same game.Kalani started out as a catcher but quickly realized he belonged on the mound. Pitcher is now his favorite spot, and he's got the arsenal to back it up: fastball, cutter, curveball, and a sharp slider. When asked whether he'd rather get the final out or drive in the winning run, it was an easy choice. Pitching gets him locked in.His favorite place he's played is Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Something about the mountains and sky made it feel like he was playing above the clouds. But as fun as travel tournaments are, he's quick to point out how much work it takes. Practice four days a week, then games all weekend. It's a grind, but one he clearly loves.Kalani's pregame routine is simple—just one deep breath to get focused. Since he started, he's proudest of how far his hitting has come. He's on a team made up of the best of the best in the region, and he's got big goals ahead. High school, college ball, and hopefully a shot at the MLB. If he had to choose, he'd suit up for the Braves. He wrapped the interview with advice for anyone chasing a sport or skill. “Keep going. Don't give up. Don't stop even when you feel like you can't.” He gave shoutouts to his brothers, his teams, and especially his mom for always being there, driving him wherever he needs to go.Kalani is the kind of student-athlete who makes you believe that the big dreams aren't too big after all. Stay Hootworthy, Kalani!

It's Thursday, August 14th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Indonesian Christian leaders urge government to protect religious liberty Religious leaders in Indonesia are calling on the government there to protect religious freedom. This comes after a string of attacks on Christian buildings in the Southeast Asian country. The Conference of Indonesian Catholic Bishops said, “Any act of intimidation, violence, or unilateral restriction of religious activities violates the law and undermines the fundamental values of life together as citizens of the same nation.” Indonesia is not currently on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian. However, it has appeared on that list in previous years. Anglican Church of Nigeria horrified by lesbian bishop in Wales The Anglican Church of Nigeria cut ties with the Anglican Church of Wales over its election of an openly lesbian archbishop named Cherry Vann who is in a sexual relationship with Wendy Diamond. Rev. Henry Ndukuba leads the Anglican Church in Nigeria. He said, “The Church of Nigeria believes that this moment calls for prayer for the Church of Wales, hoping that the Church of England will not follow in her steps. We should hold them in our prayers with a clear message that hope lies only in true repentance and godliness.” To its credit, The Anglican Church of Nigeria previously severed ties with the Episcopal Church in the United States over a similar situation. 2 Timothy 4:3-4 warns, “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” British pro-lifer targeted a third time for praying outside abortion mill Police in the United Kingdom are investigating a woman for praying outside an abortion mill. It's the third time police have gone after Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, Director of the March for Life UK, over her silent prayers. West Midlands Police previously arrested her twice. Vaughan-Spruce won a settlement over the wrongful arrests worth about $17,500. However, officials continue to target her. Jeremiah Igunnubole, legal counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom International, said, “We will continue to robustly challenge this unjust censorship, and support Isabel's right to think and believe freely.” Could Supreme Court overturn homosexual marriage ruling? In the United States, Liberty Counsel recently asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the case of a Christian county clerk. Kim Davis, the former Rowan County, Kentucky clerk, refused to issue marriage licenses to homosexual couples. She was the first victim to be jailed and sued following the infamous 2015 Obergefell ruling. The Supreme Court ruling legalized faux same-sex marriage nationwide. Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver said, “Kim Davis' case underscores why the U.S. Supreme Court should overturn the wrongly decided Obergefell v. Hodges opinion because it threatens the religious liberty of Americans who believe that marriage is a sacred union between one man and one woman.” U.S. debt hits $37 trillion The U.S. national debt hit $37 trillion for the first time, according to a Tuesday report from the Treasury Department. The national debt is projected to reach 99% of the U.S. Gross Domestic Product this year which is the measure of the total economic activity within a country. The Peter G. Peterson Foundation noted that the debt amounts to $280,000 per household in America and is growing at over five billion dollars per day. Fewer Americans drink alcohol A survey from Gallup found that the percentage of Americans who use alcoholic beverages fell to a record low of 54 percent. Young adults are even less likely to drink alcohol at 50 percent. And for the first time, over 50 percent of U.S. adults say drinking one or two alcoholic drinks a day is bad for one's health. That number is up from 28 percent in 2015. Young adults are even more likely to say drinking is bad for their health at 66 percent. Gallup noted, “Declines in alcohol consumption do not appear to be caused by people shifting to other mood-altering substances.” Answers in Genesis announces Truth Traveler attractions in Pigeon Forge & Branson And finally, Answers in Genesis is opening two new Bible attractions, one in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and the other in Branson, Missouri. The Truth Traveler attractions feature a 5D experience that blends cutting-edge virtual reality, motion seating, and sensory effects to transport you through pivotal moments in Biblical history. The website says, “Feel the ground shake as the floodwaters rise, stand in awe at the towering walls of Babel, and witness history unfold in breathtaking detail.” Ken Ham, the CEO of Answers in Genesis, said, “Please pray with us that these attractions will reach thousands of families with the message of the truth of God's Word and the Gospel.” Psalm 111:2, 4 says, “Great are the works of the LORD, studied by all who delight in them. … He has caused His wondrous works to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and merciful.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, August 14th, in the year of our Lord 2025.
