A new MP3 sermon from Founders Baptist Church is now available on SermonAudio with the following details: Title: Without Excuse Subtitle: Series - Revelation 2024-2025 Speaker: Richard Caldwell Jr. Broadcaster: Founders Baptist Church Event: Sunday - AM Date: 8/24/2025 Bible: Revelation 14:6-11 Length: 62 min.
Perhaps the clearest testimony to the depravity of man is the amount of light that he can meet with that does him absolutely NO GOOD. It doesn't matter how much spiritual light that an unregenerate person meets with, if left to himself, he is not benefited by that light, rather his guilt is increased because he has no appetite for it. The truth doesn't save him in his natural state; the truth only condemns him. Man's spiritual blindness is more than just spiritual ignorance; it is WILLFUL spiritual ignorance.

Today we're continuing in our series Re-Examining Romans with Part 5 - Leveling the playing field. This is the audio podcast.
Paul opens his argument for the gospel by revealing the need for it. God is righteous and no descendant of Adam is, due to Adam's disobedience. Thus, Romans 1:18-32 demonstrates the total depravity of man summarized in Romans 3:10, "None is righteous, no, not one." The sad news is that when people reject God, He rejects them and allows their sinful tendencies to play out in three stages: (1) when people refuse the truth about God, He lets them worship false gods. (2) When they worship the creature, God lets them degrade the creature. (3) The degraded creature not only plunge into greater debauchery, but they also take pleasure in those who do what they do, knowing that it is wrong.
Class 6 from this series was used in GCT Episode 349.
In today's powerful and challenging message, we explore the difference between manipulated service and true, loving commitment to God and His Kingdom. This sermon invites you to ask the hard questions: - What are you really committed to? - Are your commitments driven by love—or by guilt, pressure, or habit? - Are you carrying the cross that Jesus personally assigned to you? Drawing from Luke 14:16–27, we hear the parable of the Great Banquet, where Jesus exposes the excuses people make to avoid responding to God's invitation. Whether it's relationships, success, or past failures, many of us have placed our priorities above the call of Christ. This message isn't about religion—it's about loyalty born out of love, and the God-given responsibility placed on each of our lives. We also reflect on the words of Peter in 1 Peter 1:18–25, reminding us that this life is a journey to be traveled with a deep consciousness of God, not shallow distractions. "You cannot be My disciple unless you love Me more than your own life." – Jesus It's time to count the cost. Choose love. Choose commitment. Choose to carry your cross. Without Excuse - Romans 2
In Part 13 of our Rooting through Romans series, Pastor Byron continues exploring God's revelation and righteous judgment from Romans 1:19-20. Building on the foundation of verse 18, this message unpacks how God's existence, power, and divine nature are clearly seen through creation and conscience—leaving mankind without excuse. Whether in a bustling city or a remote jungle, every person has been given a general revelation of God, enough to hold them accountable. Yet this knowledge alone cannot save—it only condemns if rejected. Pastor Byron explains the difference between knowing about God and knowing Him personally through Jesus Christ. With strong biblical support and powerful illustrations, this sermon emphasizes the urgency of missions, the universal condition of sin, and the exclusivity of salvation through Christ. Don't miss this compelling reminder of why we must take the Gospel to all the world.
We continue our study of Paul's letter to the believers in Rome with Chapter 1, verses 18-25. Having attested to the saving power of the good news of Jesus Christ, he now turns his attention to the reasons why we need saving, and the consequences that follow the rejection of the one true God. No one gets a pass. We are all without excuse.

Are there sins more heinous than others? Yes. Do all sins deserve God's wrath? Absolutely. But there is hope. God offers salvation from them all in Christ.

We can't appreciate the good news unless we understand the bad news. Paul rightly diagnosed the bad news and we must apprehend the severity of it to appreciate the solution which is the Gospel.

Rom 10: 14-21 - James Coates - GraceLife Church of Edmonton
No one has an excuse to reject God. Why? “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead” (Rom. 1:19). Despite man’s protests to the contrary, he knows— deep down—that there is a God. Yet, “although they [know] God, they [do] not glorify Him as God, nor [are] thankful, but [become] futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts [are] darkened” (Rom. 1:20). This latter point should give us compassion for those who’ve rejected God. Knowing that they’re hearts are darkened, it should drive us to point them to the truth of Him that they’ve buried. By virtue of our own conscience we are condemned. Paul gives seven great principles of God's judgment.

Verse by verse teaching in Romans 1:19-23 titled "We Are Without Excuse" by Pastor Jeffrey Anderson of Calvary Youth of Calvary Chapel Clayton, NC on June 30, 2024.
There is a growing skepticism toward God in American culture today. Some foolishly deny that God exists. Others say they do not know if God exists, while others merely hope that God exists. God wants us to know that he does exist and that his word, the Bible, is his timeless and unchangeable revelation to mankind.-In fact, from Psalm 19-1 to Romans 1-20, we see that nature reveals God's existence and everyone is accountable and without excuse. --Appearing on Crosstalk to demonstrate this fact was Bruce Malone. Bruce is executive director of Search for the Truth Ministries, an organization that widely disseminates Bible-affirming creation materials. Bruce has spent over 30 years bringing the scientific evidence for creation to churches and schools at seminars throughout the U.S. and around the world. He's authored or co-authored ten books on the evidence for creation.--The story behind Bruce's book actually goes back to a Superbowl party 20 years ago that his church would put on for the city. At halftime the gospel would be presented to the youth in a large auditorium. Bruce asked the youth pastor if he could have 5 minutes with the youth to present evidence for creation. Part of his presentation involved giving them the book, Refuting Evolution by Jonathan Sarfati. Weeks later he asked the kids how they liked the book and not a single student had read it. Why-- It's because it looked like another textbook. --It's from that point on that Bruce decided that if he's going to write books, they'd be short, visual and fun to read. So he began to write creation devotionals where each day of the year he'd present wonderful examples of God's creativity and genius.
