World tensions are running high over what is happening in the Middle East. Earlier this week Vice President J.D. Vance was engaged in talks to work out an agreement with Iran. Present were representatives of the United States and Iran, but also Qatar and Pakistan. Pakistan is an Islamic Republic, the fifth most populous country in the world, with approximately 260 million people. They are seeking to transform this region through this agreement, yet Islam has no tolerance for Christianity. Christians are often targeted for their faith, even if it means bringing false charges against them. Pastor Shahid Kaleem returns to Crosstalk to open our eyes to what is happening in this region. For example, what is Pakistan's relationship with Iran? How do Pakistan's Shia Muslims treat Christians? What about the blasphemy laws targeting Christianity? Most importantly, there's the vital need to get the gospel out to a spiritually needy nation.

We are in Primary season throughout the United States. Today, voters in Maryland, New York and Utah are going to the polls. Flying beneath the radar on so many races is CAIR Action (Council on American-Islamic Relations). Just today, CAIR Action sent out a press release saying their "team was on the ground and behind the scenes across multiple states, doing the essential work that moves elections. Endorsing candidates, mobilizing voters, and building the kind of relationships that turn a community into a constituency." They state this has officially become our most impactful cycle yet." Indeed, the slate of Islamic candidates is on the increase. In the words of Muslim activist Linda Sarsour, which you'll hear near the beginning of the broadcast, "We're also cleaning up Congress." Review this broadcast and consider the following: An interesting twist within this movement is the fact that there are not just Democrat Muslims running for office but Republican Muslims as well. What's the difference? Does this mean there is such a thing as a moderate Muslim after all? Egypt doesn't allow Hamas members to run for office yet we allow them to do so in America. Why, when we know that the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is really Hamas? Is Islam really woven into the fabric of America's history as one audio clip alleges? Joining us is Usama Dakdok from the Straight Way of Grace Ministry.

A flurry of reports are coming from the Middle East as it pertains to Iran, Israel, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Straits of Hormuz and the United States. The second day of talks in Geneva, Switzerland, just concluded and Fox News is reporting that the Treasury Secretary announced that the Trump administration has temporarily authorized the production, delivery and sale of Iranian oil under a 60-day license. This broadcast presents an update on this as well as the continued warring between Israel and Hezbollah, Lindsey Graham's feelings regarding the current negotiations, Israel kills a journalist allegedly tied to Hamas, and more. Also, an update on what's going on with the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, quantum computing, the controversy surrounding Flock cameras, and how all this points to the anti-Christ. In the end, AI is becoming so sophisticated that even experts are having a hard time discerning truth from deception. Dr. Richard Schmidt is Pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church and founder of Prophecy Focus Ministries. He joins us on this edition of Crosstalk. For more information: prophecyfocus.org

This video presents a powerful contrast between the legacies of Karl Marx and D.L. Moody, using their graves in London's Highgate Cemetery as symbolic bookends of opposing worldviews. It critiques Marx's ideology—rooted in the abolition of private property, God, and the family, and grounded in revolutionary upheaval—as a philosophy that, despite claiming to liberate humanity, resulted in widespread oppression and death. In contrast, the sermon exalts Moody's life and ministry as a testament to true liberation through faith in Christ, emphasizing the enduring impact of the Gospel on individuals and society. The central message calls listeners to reflect on their own legacy, urging a life defined not by cultural or political ideologies, but by obedience to God and the transformative power of the truth found in Jesus Christ.

We have just passed the 20 year anniversary of Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth. When he was asked recently by ABC News Chief Meteorologist and Chief Climate Correspondent Ginger Zee whether the film and its predictions on global warming hold up, Gore responded, "Unfortunately, yes." He went on to say, "The scientists were dead right on all the important elements of it and it really is insane that we are continuing to use the sky as an open sewer and we're trapping so much heat every day it's equal to the amount that would be released by 800,000 Hiroshima-class atomic bombs exploding every day on the earth." Earlier this year the Yale School of the Environment published an article titled, Overshoot: The World is Hitting Point of No Return on Climate. They stated: "With warming set to pass the critical 1.5-degree limit, scientists are warning that the world is on course to trigger tipping points that would lead to cascading consequences from the melting of ice sheets to the death of the Amazon rainforest-that could not be reversed." Returning to Crosstalk to discuss the latest response by the U.N. General Assembly to such news was Alex Newman.

The video draws a stark contrast between the legacy of Charles Darwin and the Christian understanding of human dignity, arguing that Darwin's theory of evolution, particularly his assertion that humans evolved from primates, has profound moral and theological consequences. It highlights how Darwin's views—such as his racial hierarchies and the concept of 'survival of the fittest'—paved the way for dehumanizing ideologies, including eugenics and genocide. The sermon underscores that the rejection of divine creation as a foundation for human worth has eroded moral boundaries, enabling justifications for abortion, euthanasia, and infanticide. By referencing Westminster Abbey as a symbol of enduring legacy, it warns that ideas, especially those denying God's role in creation, carry lasting and destructive consequences. Ultimately, the message affirms that true human value is rooted in being made in God's image, not in evolutionary progression.

Sunday is Father's Day, so this Crosstalk celebrated the coming holiday with this annual tribute. Host Jim Schneider began with the history behind the holiday, noted the characteristics of a Godly father, and then moved on to allow listeners an opportunity to call and give honor to fathers past and present.

The video uses John Bunyan's grave in Bunhill Cemetery as a powerful backdrop to reflect on the enduring spiritual truths found in Pilgrim's Progress, emphasizing the weight of sin, the reality of temptation, and the ultimate hope of eternal salvation. It highlights how Bunyan, imprisoned for 12 years, transformed his suffering into a timeless testimony of faith, grace, and perseverance. The central message underscores the Christian journey as a pilgrimage toward the heavenly city, where the burden of sin is finally laid to rest in Christ's empty tomb. Through the imagery of the cross and the relief of forgiveness, the sermon affirms God's redemptive work and the lasting impact of faithful witness. The tone is reverent and encouraging, inviting listeners to find strength and hope in the enduring legacy of a man who endured hardship for the sake of the Gospel.

250 years of freedom and independence is something every one of us should be thankful for. Too often we take for granted the freedoms and liberties we enjoy and forget there was a price that many paid. There were 56 signers to the Declaration of Independence that pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. Sadly today, there are those who desire the downfall of our nation, trying to destroy celebrations and recognition of this milestone. Further, there is erosion that has taken place trying to take away the values and freedoms we hold dear. We must be ever vigilant or this cherished treasure, America, will vanish before our very eyes. Not only will we discuss these matters today, but we also take a look at the author of the original draft of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson. Joining us is Dr. Jerry Newcombe, Executive Director of the Providence Forum, a division of Coral Ridge Ministries. He is also a columnist and podcast host for Providence Forum and has produced a series of documentaries on America's Judeo-Christian roots. He is the author or co-author of 33 books including George Washington's Sacred Fire, The Book that Made America: How the Bible Formed Our Nation, American Amnesia: Is America Paying the Price for Forgetting God, the Source of our Liberty, and Doubting Thomas? The Life and Legacy of Thomas Jefferson. Jerry is also senior pastor at New Presbyterian Church in Wilton Manors, FL. More information: ProvidenceForum.org

This video uses the historic London cemetery of Bunhill Fields as a living tapestry to illustrate the enduring impact of faithful, often uncelebrated, Christian ministry across generations. Through the graves of influential figures like John Bunyan, John Owen, William Blake, and the Wesleys, the message underscores how God often raises up humble, dedicated servants—particularly young and unheralded ones—to carry forward His work with lasting influence. The narrative highlights a recurring pattern: the most transformative eras in church history have often followed the model of investing in young, passionate leaders rather than seeking fame or celebrity. The contrast between the church's golden age under C.H. Spurgeon—a young pastor chosen for faithfulness rather than reputation—and its subsequent decline after seeking star power serves as a sobering reminder of the value of spiritual maturity over cultural prominence. Ultimately, the sermon calls the church to prioritize faithful stewardship, continuity, and the quiet power of godly character over the allure of celebrity, drawing strength from the legacy of those who lived and died in faithful service.

Yesterday afternoon at 4:29pm Eastern Time, the following post was sent on President Trump's Truth Social account: "The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all! I hereby authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow! President Donald J. Trump." Dr. Richard Schmidt is Pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church and Founder of Prophecy Focus Ministries. Life is under attack on many fronts. It's being attacked in the womb, it's being attacked in the sunset years and even those who don't measure up to other people's standards due to some form of disability are also coming under attack. God is the Author of life. We are told in Psalm 139 that we are "fearfully and wonderfully made." In Jeremiah 1 we see it is God that has formed us. In Proverbs 6 we're told that the LORD hates the "hands that shed innocent blood" yet we are living in a society that has rejected God. The number of babies being killed by abortion including use of the abortion pill is escalating. Children in the womb are being killed due to a disability. At the other end of the spectrum, just recently a man in Canada screamed for help during a botched euthanasia. We live in a very barbaric society with the nod and approval of many in the political arena, the judicial realm, the entertainment industry and increasingly in the religious realm as well. It is an imperative that we must stand for life! Joining us to discuss these issues is Victor Nieves. Victor is President of the Life Issues Institute which was founded in 1991 to serve the educational needs of the pro-life movement. Victor has had a pro-life passion from a young age while working in state House and Senate campaigns in Missouri. He has a degree in Political Science with a dual focus on American government and Constitutional law. More Information: lifeissues.org

Regardless of the era, Israel has been hated and warred against. History shows this during the biblical era of the Philistines, the Canaanites, the Midianites and the Amalekites. In modern times, anger against the Jewish nation has been fueled by the rampant spreading of antisemitism through entities such as Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, Turkey, or Islam. Did you know more resolutions against Israel have come before the United Nations than any other nation in the world? Did you know that the vast majority of the world's nations are regularly voting against Israel? This is a nation only the size of New Jersey, yet they've been despised and warred against throughout all of human history. Under such international pressure, it's truly a miracle that Israel has survived. Why all the hatred? Why have all these forces been unable to destroy Israel? The answer lies in the fact that this is not a battle of flesh and blood, but this is a spiritual battle that has ensued from the beginning ...

This video explores the life, legacy, and theological significance of C.S. Lewis, emphasizing his journey from atheism to Christian faith, shaped by personal loss, intellectual inquiry, and the influence of friends like J.R.R. Tolkien. It highlights Lewis's masterful use of imagination, storytelling, and reason to communicate Christian truth, exemplified in works like Mere Christianity, The Problem of Pain, and Till We Have Faces. The narrative underscores his role as a modern apologist who made faith accessible through allegory, philosophical argument, and vivid narrative, bridging the gap between intellect and heart. His enduring impact is rooted in his ability to engage audiences shoulder-to-shoulder, using clarity, reason, and imaginative depiction to convey timeless spiritual truths. The sermon also corrects a myth about Lewis's relationship with Tolkien, affirming their deep friendship until Lewis's final days. Ultimately, Lewis's life and writings remain a powerful testament to the transformative power of faith, reason, and story in the modern world.

The video uses the burial of Henry VIII in St. George's Chapel as a meditation on the universal realities of death—its humility, finality, and the eternal destinies it determines. It emphasizes that no amount of power, wealth, or fame can escape the dignity of death, which levels all people before God. Drawing from Scripture, it highlights Christ's authority over death and Hades, underscoring the critical choice between two eternal outcomes. The sermon then turns to the theme of legacy, challenging listeners to reflect on how they will be remembered and whether their lives reflect a faithful stewardship of God's grace. Ultimately, it calls for daily living in light of eternity, knowing that on the day of judgment, one's true self will be revealed before Christ.

The video centers on the profound spiritual legacy of Anne Boleyn, highlighting her faith and final prayers as she faced execution under Henry VIII. Drawing from her personal prayer, it emphasizes Christ's sacrificial love—born, suffering, and dying for humanity's sake—and the transformative power of His blood to cleanse sin and sustain faith. The preacher reflects on her dignified death, her forgiveness toward her accusers, and her intercession for the king and future generations, underscoring how God often works through suffering to bring about lasting good. Though her earthly life ended in injustice, her faith and legacy point to a greater truth: that God's purposes transcend human judgment and that true victory lies in eternal hope. The sermon concludes with a reverent affirmation of her spiritual triumph, affirming that her life, though cut short, became a testament to grace, redemption, and divine sovereignty.

The video reflects on the life and death of Bishop Cranmer, highlighting the profound truth that even flawed believers can end well, demonstrating that final faithfulness outweighs past failures. It emphasizes that the prospect of death clarifies what truly matters, stripping away worldly distractions and revealing eternal priorities. Drawing from Scripture and historical example, the message underscores that people remember how one ends more than how they began, affirming that a steadfast conclusion honors God and bears lasting witness. Ultimately, the sermon teaches that only what endures forever holds true significance, and that perseverance in faith, even after faltering, reflects the grace and redemption available through Christ.

Dr. Greg Quiggle, retired professor of Church History at Moody Bible Institute discusses the complexities of the Reformation and the various impacts.

Dr. Greg Quiggle, retired professor of Church History at Moody Bible Institute introduces us to the man of Wittenberg, Martin Luther. Monk, Reformer, and Revolutionary.

The video reflects on the enduring legacy of John Wycliffe, a pioneering figure in the history of Scripture translation and religious reform, whose commitment to making the Bible accessible in English laid foundational stones for later movements. It highlights the immense cost of that mission—months of labor to copy sacred texts by hand, the persecution of those who carried the Word, and the martyrdom of many who risked their lives for truth. Even after death, Wycliffe's influence was not allowed to rest, as his remains were exhumed and destroyed in an attempt to erase his impact, underscoring the profound spiritual and historical significance of his work. The narrative serves as a powerful testament to the enduring power of Scripture, the cost of faithfulness, and the conviction that truth, though opposed, cannot be extinguished. Ultimately, the sermon honors Wycliffe not as a martyr, but as a faithful steward of God's Word whose life and legacy continue to inspire courage and devotion.

The video reflects on the martyrdom of Protestant leaders under Queen Mary I, emphasizing that enduring suffering for faith requires a theology that embraces persecution as part of God's redemptive plan. Through the courageous deaths of Ridley and Latimer, and the eventual repentant confession of Cranmer, the message underscores that fear of God surpasses fear of death, and that true faith is revealed not in perfection but in final fidelity. The narrative illustrates how death clarifies eternal values, showing that one's legacy is defined not by past failures but by the integrity with which one ends. Ultimately, the sermon calls believers to focus on what endures forever—faithfulness to Christ—reminding that even flawed individuals, when they persevere, become instruments of lasting spiritual light.

This video reflects on the courage and conviction of three Protestant martyrs—Nicholas Ridley, Hugh Latimer, and Thomas Cranmer—who were executed in 16th-century England during the reign of Queen Mary Tudor, as she sought to restore Catholicism. It emphasizes their unwavering commitment to the Gospel, highlighting how their willingness to die rather than renounce their faith underscores the centrality of truth and loyalty to Christ. The preacher uses their historical sacrifice not merely as a call to remember the past, but as a challenge to contemporary believers to examine the depth of their own commitment to Christ. The tone is both reverent and urgent, inviting the audience to consider whether they would stand firm in the face of persecution, just as these men did. Ultimately, the sermon presents martyrdom not as a distant relic, but as a living testimony to the enduring power of faith.

A concern is escalating across the country regarding AI data centers. This includes those that are presently in use, those that are under construction, and those that are proposed for communities coast to coast. Farmlands that produce our food supply are a key target for the data centers. Electric power is in high demand. Recently the Daily Caller reported that "the lakeside resort communities on the California side of Lake Tahoe will need a new energy source by May 2027 as energy-guzzling data centers keep springing up on the Nevada side of the lake, according to reports." Some communities are trying to place moratoriums on data centers only to be met with multi-million dollar lawsuits. Joining us today is Tom DeWeese. Tom is one of the nation's leading advocates of individual liberty, free enterprise, private property rights, personal privacy, back-to-basics education and American sovereignty and independence and protecting our Constitutionally-guaranteed rights.

What do the following cities have in common? Fort Myers, FL, Tampa, FL, Arlington, TX, Tucson, AZ, Long Beach, CA, and Ashtabula, OH? Each of these are cities where so-called "LGBTQ" Pride Events were cancelled. Most of these are due to lack of corporate support. Meanwhile this past Saturday, Homosexual Pride events had to be cancelled in Houston due to the weather. Phoenix Pride just recently announced bankruptcy, but according to reports are still planning events for October. Indeed, a number of businesses and corporations have pulled back from their massive support of so-called LGBTQ+ pride. Other groups are digging in their heels with the free flow of cash. Despite the massive pushback on this movement, the sexual deviancy events and their support continues to flourish. Joining us to discuss it all is Peter LaBarbera. Peter is the Founder and President of Center for Morality Americans for Truth. He's a former reporter for the Washington Times, LifeSiteNews.com, WND.com and a former contributing editor for Human Events

This video reflects on the profound cost of biblical accessibility throughout history, emphasizing how the translation and distribution of Scripture were once acts of radical courage under severe persecution. It traces the journey from Wycliffe's laborious hand-copied Bibles to Tyndale's pioneering English translation, which was smuggled abroad and burned upon discovery in England, underscoring the life-threatening stakes of reading God's Word in one's own language. The narrative highlights how figures like Erasmus, Luther, and later Geneva scholars continued the work, enabling the Bible's spread even during the reign of Mary Tudor, when dissenters fled to places like Geneva for safety. Ultimately, the sermon calls the audience to reverence the Bible not as a mere text, but as a legacy of sacrifice, urging gratitude for the freedom to read Scripture today and a renewed commitment to its truth and authority.

The video centers on the transformative power of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers, emphasizing that true spiritual impact—exemplified by figures like George Whitefield and John Wesley—stems not from human effort alone but from divine empowerment. It highlights the biblical truth that every believer, upon receiving Christ, hosts the Holy Spirit, who desires not merely to reside but to reign and direct one's gifts for extraordinary purposes. The message underscores that authentic evangelistic calling is not driven by personal ambition or worldly motivation, but by a divine, personal summons that is available to all who are willing. With a pastoral and encouraging tone, the sermon calls listeners to embrace the Spirit's leadership, trusting that God's design for ministry surpasses human capability and is rooted in a faithful, Spirit-led obedience.

The video centers on the enduring power of the Gospel as exemplified by historical figures whose unwavering commitment to Christ transcended theological differences and societal opposition. It emphasizes that true evangelistic passion is rooted not merely in doctrinal knowledge but in a personal, transformative experience of God's Spirit, which assures believers of their eternal belonging. This inner conviction—grounded in Scripture and the witness of the Holy Spirit—motivated fearless proclamation despite criticism, persecution, and personal cost. The message underscores the infinite value of every soul, affirming that eternity outweighs temporal sacrifice, and calls modern believers to emulate this faithfulness with hope and perseverance. Ultimately, the sermon invites listeners to carry forward this eternal perspective, trusting in God's presence as the ultimate assurance in life's journey.

Learn about the life and legacy of George Mueller, a 19th-century Christian whose unwavering faith in God's provision was demonstrated through his establishment of five orphanages in Bristol without seeking financial support, relying solely on prayer. It highlights the theological emphasis on trusting God's faithfulness, the vital role of Scripture in cultivating a soul content in God, and the transformative power of consistent prayer and devotion. The preacher underscores the pastoral intent of encouraging believers to cultivate deep spiritual intimacy with God, trusting His promises even in the face of material need. Mueller's life is presented not as a call to mimic his methods, but as a compelling testimony to the reality of God's faithfulness when His people prioritize relationship with Him. The tone is both reverent and inspiring, inviting the audience to embrace a life of radical trust rooted in divine reliability.

The video centers on the enduring legacy of John Wesley, highlighting his transformative impact through passionate evangelism and a radical commitment to spreading the Gospel beyond traditional church boundaries. It emphasizes Wesley's personal conversion experience—marked by a profound realization that salvation comes through personal faith in Christ, not merely religious discipline—and his revolutionary declaration that 'the world is my parish,' underscoring a missional vision that reached the marginalized, including miners and farmers. The narrative connects Wesley's 18th-century revivalism to the American circuit rider movement, illustrating how his model of mobile, accessible preaching shaped modern evangelism. Through a pastoral and reverent tone, the message celebrates Wesley's lifelong devotion to Christ, the poor, and the proclamation of the Gospel, culminating in his final words, 'Best of all, God is with us,' as a testament to enduring divine presence and purpose. The sermon invites contemporary listeners to embrace a similarly expansive, Christ-centered mission rooted in love and sacrifice.

The site of outdoor preaching by John Wesley and George Whitefield is a backdrop to emphasize that the Gospel is not confined to church buildings but belongs to the entire world. It highlights how the message of Christ brought profound hope to marginalized people, such as soot-streaked miners, transforming their lives through spiritual renewal despite enduring hardship. The central theme centers on the universal call to proclaim the Gospel of peace, rooted in Scripture and exemplified by the radical conviction that 'the world is my parish.' The preacher calls the modern church to be humbled and motivated by past faithful witnesses, urging a renewed commitment to share Christ's transformative message with all people in everyday life. Ultimately, the sermon affirms that true hope is found only in Jesus Christ, whose Gospel offers both present comfort and eternal promise.

The video reflects on the theological depth of Christmas hymns rooted in the history of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, highlighting how sacred music emerges from personal faith and sorrow. It explores the symbolic significance of the three gifts presented to Christ—gold, frankincense, and myrrh—representing His kingship, divinity, and sacrificial death. Through the stories of hymn writers like John Henry Hopkins and James Black, the message underscores how earthly experiences of loss and devotion inspire enduring spiritual truths. The central theme emphasizes the hope of eternal life and the assurance of heaven, calling believers to faithful perseverance in service and witness. Ultimately, the video presents hymnody as a living testament to Christian heritage, where music becomes a bridge between earthly struggle and heavenly promise.

Chris Katulka is Vice President of North American Ministries at The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry and host of The Friends of Israel Today radio program. He's a Bible teacher, writer for Israel My Glory magazine, and author of the book Israel Always. Three months ago today, the war with Iran got underway. During this time, President Trump has consistently stated his goal of removing the nuclear threat of Iran and sees no way for them to have enriched uranium. Just yesterday, President Trump held a Cabinet meeting at the White House and said Iran was "negotiating on fumes." In recent hours, news broke indicating that the United States and Iranian negotiators have reached an agreement. It's an agreement to a 60-day memorandum of understanding which extends the current ceasefire and also negotiations concerning Iran's nuclear program. This all awaits the approval of President Trump. News reports have also indicated that the United States shot down Iranian drones near the Strait of Hormuz. Iran also launched a ballistic missile against Kuwait.

Dr. John Sorensen is President & CEO of Evangelism Explosion International, a ministry that trains people how to share their faith in Christ and bring people from unbelief to belief. He's the daily speaker on Share Life Today. He is the author of the books Well Done, Your Story Counts, The Christ of Christmas, and travels around the world for Evangelism Explosion. You've likely read the passage of Scripture commanding believers to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. There's also Christ's instruction on being witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the uttermost parts of the earth. Finally, there's the Bible's encouragement of not being ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, that it is the power of God unto salvation, and that we are ambassadors for Christ. In spite of all this, some people believe this is only for pastors and missionaries or those in vocational Christian service. The result is that the "Great Commission" has become the "Great Omission." Others may feel convicted to share more, but don't know how to start a conversation, or are concerned they may get something wrong or may not be able to provide an answer for a question that's asked. Some may feel embarrassed, believing that you should never discuss religion or politics because these topics are a private matter and should be kept to ourselves. If you've struggled in areas like these, keep in mind, there are no exceptions. In other words, it doesn't matter if you're a child or adult. As born-again believers, all of us have the same instructions from Christ to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. You have a story to tell others. Enjoy this Crosstalk!

On many occasions, individuals will do something so that they remember a significant life event. The Israelites gathered stones as they crossed the Jordan River. With the stones, they built a monument so that when future generations asked what the stones meant, they would hear of how God led them through and provided for them. We also put up monuments, not to worship, but to remember individuals or events that have impacted our nation in a significant way. Unfortunately, it's these statues and monuments that are under attack. Why is this happening? To address this issue, Crosstalk welcomed Dr. Tim Schmig. Dr. Schmig is executive director of the Michigan Association of Christian Schools, director of Stories in Stone and author of Stories in Stones: Our Heritage of Evidence. So why is there such a concerted effort to remove statues and monuments today? Dr. Schmig believes part of it is because people today are looking back through the lens of their own personal experiences, therefore they view our nation's founders based upon what's known as "presentism." In other words, they weigh the actions and productivity of the founders (and others who've gone on before us) based on what they believe is right today. As he noted, none of us are perfect, including America's founders. The present day protesters that tear down monuments aren't perfect either. So if you look at our nation through the lens of idealism, we'll be weighed in the balances and found wanting. Yet if you look at America's history based upon the times that they lived in, you'll see that those individuals did some amazing things.

Here's a sample of stories Jim shared during the first quarter hour. Hear the rest, as well as how listeners responded. --Tulsi Gabbard has resigned from her post as Director of National Intelligence. She explained she is leaving this position in order to support her husband who has a rare form of bone cancer. --A New Jersey Shore town is calling in an impressive show of force in preparation for Memorial Day Weekend following a surge of viral teen takeovers, pop-up parties and a past of chaos. --Iran is reportedly still reviewing the latest peace proposal from the U.S. --Iran's parliament reportedly is considering a bill calling for the assassination of both President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. --The FBI is offering a $200,000 reward for information leading to the apprehension and prosecution of Monica Witt, a former U.S. Air Force counter-intelligence agent accused of providing national defense information to Iran. --Iran has been caught teaching children how to use AK47 rifles, just as its Ayatollah declared jihad in a series of ominous social media posts. --The Treasury Department announced new sanctions Tuesday targeting businesses, vessels, and financial networks accused of helping Iran move billions of dollars through oil sales, foreign currency exchanges and covert shipping operations despite existing U.S. sanctions. --The Senate voted to advance a war powers resolution Tuesday aimed at halting U.S. hostilities against Iran. --U.S. officials suspect that Iranian hackers are behind a series of breaches of systems that monitor the amount of fuel in storage tanks serving gas stations in multiple states.

Sometimes when people hear or see something that's strange or outright bizarre, they might reply by saying, "What in the world?" That's the theme of this series of Crosstalk broadcasts as Jim looks at some of the strange and unbelievable stories making the news. The fact that such stories are becoming more and more prevalent goes along with the warning from the Bible that in the last days, perilous times will come (2 Timothy 3:1). Here are the stories Jim presented during the first quarter hour of the broadcast: California has seized a Christian woman's teenage daughter because she opposed her daughter's so-called gender transition. A federal court in Australia has defied the science that men, male down to their DNA, cannot become women by ordering damages paid to a man who was denied participation in the women-only networking app, Giggle for Girls. Amid a glut of anti-LGBTQ+ laws passed by the state legislature over the past half decade, many queer Texans have decided to pack up and move to greener and more supportive pastures by moving to Seattle. Now the city is considering declaring a civil emergency due to the number of LGBTQ+ "refugees" moving there from red states. An elementary school in Winnipeg has decided to do away with Mother's Day and Father's Day presents in favor of family gifts. Two Virginia police officers are facing suspension and possible termination for objecting to a gender confused male recruit being allowed to use women's lockers. A campaign event for homosexual California State Senator Scott Wiener, now running for U.S. Congress, featured a drag queen grossly dressed as half pig/half woman.

Barbara Loe Fisher is the president of the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC), a non-profit charity she co-founded with parents of DPT vaccine injured children in 1982. NVIC is a national, grassroots movement and public information campaign to institute vaccine safety reforms and informed consent protections in the public health system. Many want to put COVID-19 in the dust bin of history. However, it's critical for as much information to come out as possible because as we saw during the COVID pandemic, our government became very authoritarian in forcing shots on so many individuals. This experience has brought many to a new level of distrust and skepticism as it relates to vaccinations and the increased use of mRNA technology. Recently a former senior advisor to Dr. Anthony Fauci was indicted regarding his alleged efforts to hide records about the origins of COVID-19. Also, James Erdman III, a whistleblower from the CIA, appeared before the Senate Homeland Security Committee with testimony of an alleged coverup by Dr. Fauci and the Intelligence Community. Meanwhile, there have been concerns expressed over new pandemics (Ebola and Hantavirus) and the development of new mRNA shots. When it comes to vaccinations, there is a growing grassroots effort calling for informed consent. Sadly, Florida legislators just killed such a measure in special session. Also, some states are actively taking action to remove any exemptions from vaccinations. Additionally, Barbara noted the significant administrative changes at the FDA and the CDC, the prevalence of spike proteins related to vaccinated mothers and concerns regarding blood transfusions.

illiam J. Federer is a nationally known speaker, historian, author, and president of Amerisearch, Inc. He's the speaker on The American Minute daily broadcast. In late April, 2026, there was a thorough reading of the Bible at the Museum of the Bible. While you may not agree with every participant, the Word was read. As Scripture says, God's Word will not return unto Him void, but it will accomplish that which He pleases. It's the Word of God that is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:17 that "Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God." It's the Word of God that changes the heart of man. Michele Bachmann, Dean of the Regent School of Government said, "There would be no America without the Bible. It is the foundation...and it's important that we reacquaint ourselves with its principles." It's disturbing that in the American Bible Society's 2026 State of the Bible report, only 17% of Americans told pollsters that they have read the entire Bible, another 17% said they have read "most", 14% indicate they've read "about half" 35% said "a little" 10% said "none" and 7% said they were not sure if they've ever read the Bible. As foundational as the Bible is, Jim asked William to come and address the Bible's influence on America. So don't miss this look back at the impact of the Bible at the time of the Pilgrims, at the time leading up to the Declaration of Independence and the Revolutionary War, and also its influence since we became a nation. It's a history modern skeptics don't like, but it's the truth.

We live in challenging and difficult times. There's a growing secularism in which there are many who have turned their back on God saying we don't need Him. As a result, there's an escalation of every man doing that which is right in his own eyes. Immorality is rampant, there has been horrendous crime, the level of fraud is completely off the charts, marriages and families are fractured, children have been turning against their parents, and parents against their children. The Apostle Paul told Timothy as recorded in II Timothy 3:13, "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived." Instead, he reminded Timothy of his having learned the holy Scriptures to make him, "...wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus." He reminded Timothy that the Scriptures are inspired by God and they tell us what is right, what is not right, how to get right and how to stay right. He told Timothy to preach the Word, to proclaim God's Word. This past January we introduced you to an organized plan to blanket our nation's capital with the Gospel this summer as tourists flood into the city marking our 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. So much has transpired in the last 4 months since our guest was last with us and we've invited him back for an update. Dr. Alton Beal is the executive Director of DC Gospel Outreach. He is also an evangelist and is President of Ambassador Baptist College. Join Jim as he has Dr. Beal describe his efforts to blanket Washington, D.C., with this Gospel outreach as part of our nation's 250th birthday.

Here's the lineup of stories from the first quarter-hour of the broadcast as Jim reviewed news of the week: --President Trump lauded the relationship between the U.S. and China during a two-day summit in Beijing. --Chinese leader Xi Jinping warned President Trump that clashes and even conflicts over Taiwan could imperil economic ties between the world's two largest economies. --Chinese customs appear to have halted export clearances for hundreds of U.S. beef plants on Thursday, hours after Reuters reported the long-awaited licenses had been approved amid a summit between the U.S. and Chinese presidents in Beijing. --Eileen Wang, who served as the mayor of Arcadia, California, has pleaded guilty to acting as an illegal foreign agent of China and has resigned from her role. --A jury has found a Chinese-American, who ran Beijing's undercover police station in New York City, guilty of being a foreign agent for China. --41 people are being monitored in the U.S. for Hantavirus, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Most of those being monitored were at one time on board a cruise ship that experienced an outbreak of the disease after it sailed from Argentina on April 1st. --Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that the war against Iran is not over, declaring that Israel and its allies must ensure that Tehran's remaining enriched uranium and nuclear enriched infrastructure are removed or dismantled before the threat can be considered neutralized. --The apparent collapse of high-stakes U.S/Iran negotiations has intensified fears that senior figures inside Tehran's leadership could flee to Russia seeking refuge.

Dr. Erwin Lutzer is Pastor Emeritus of The Moody Church where he served as the senior pastor for 36 years. He's the speaker on the Running to Win radio broadcast as well as an award-winning author. Some of his titles include: We Will Not Be Silenced, The Eclipse of God, When a Nation Forgets God, One Minute After You Die, and many others. Is there a habit that has been your Achilles heel; something that no matter what you do, you can't seem to shake it? You've prayed about it, you've asked forgiveness for it over and over again. You've read passages in the Bible concerning it, but it continues to plague you. This is something that affects many individuals. Dr. Lutzer wrote a book which was originally published many years ago, but it's become not only a staple for the library, but a book that is helping a whole new generation of believers. It's a book to help you overcome the struggles in your life through a lasting transformation of attitude and heart. It's titled: How To Say No to a Stubborn Habit (Even When You Feel Like Saying Yes). What is so alluring about temptation that makes it easy to fall for it? What does believing that God is good have to do with our bad habits? What does it mean to trust in God's grace? Should our past be our governing motivation or should we put our past behind us? These are just some of the questions answered on this broadcast as Dr. Lutzer leads listeners through Scripture to bring the answers all of us need to defeat stubborn habits!

Pastor Ken Keltner is Senior pastor of Brookside Baptist Church, Brookfield, WI. He's the speaker on The Word for Life radio broadcast which airs on WVCY. In James 1:2-3 it says, "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience." The word "temptations" in this context is referring to testing or trials. It's a word we really don't like to hear. This passage indicates that the trying of our faith builds patience or endurance in us. Many times we read this quickly and we may talk about its meaning in application to others, but what about when the trials and tests hit you? What is your response when these trials all of a sudden seem to come from nowhere? You wonder, why is this happening to me? What have I done wrong? Do we really count it all joy when we go through such times? How do we respond? It's often said such trials can turn us bitter or better. So listen to this Crosstalk and find out how Pastor Keltner responded as he walks listeners through what occurred during events leading up to and beyond March 16, 2026. That's the day that Pastor Ken's wife Kathy went home to be with the Lord after battling Glioblastoma, an aggressive type of brain cancer. They were married over 42 years and amidst the extreme heartache, the Lord has shown himself faithful and is very much at work. From coast to coast there is a massive expansion underway of AI (artificial intelligence) data centers being constructed. This expansion is happening simultaneously across the states. Farmland once used to grow our nation's food supply is being destroyed. Green spaces that caused individuals to move to a particular location are now being overrun with dirt, concrete and non-stop construction. The demand for electricity and resources is staggering. What's going on here? Joining us to answer that question was Tom DeWeese. Tom is president of American Policy Center. He's one of the nation's leading advocates for individual liberty, free enterprise, private property rights, personal privacy, back-to-basics education, American sovereignty and independence, and protecting our Constitutionally-guaranteed rights. According to Tom, the purpose of data centers is to collect and store every single piece of information that makes up human society including your biometrics, your daily actions, even your bank account transactions. Is there any "grassroots" opposition to this? Hear the details, discover what listeners had to say, and find out what you can do on this edition of Crosstalk.

From the very beginning, the authority of God's Word has been under attack. God gave clear instruction in the Garden of Eden as recorded in Genesis 2:16 and following: "And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, 'Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat; But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.'" In Genesis chapter 3, the serpent spoke to Eve, "Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" The serpent put this question in her mind to cause doubt and later countered what God said, "Ye shall not surely die." Tragically, Eve took of the fruit and ate it. She gave it to Adam, who also ate it, and thus sin entered into the world. We often look back and ask how could they do such a thing. Yet, in our secular world and in pulpits across the country, the same challenge is happening day after day, questioning the authority of the Scriptures. Returning to Crosstalk to answer this concern was Ken Ham. Ken is founder of Answers in Genesis and its life-changing attractions: the highly acclaimed Creation Museum and the world-renowned Ark Encounter. Ken is a biblical apologist and author of multiple books, including Divine Dilemma (understanding death, disease, and suffering); Divided Nation (about today's culture wars); Creation to Babel (a devotional commentary); The Lie: Unraveling the Myth: Evolution/Millions of Years and Miraculous: The Ken Ham and Answers in Genesis Story.
