For September we have a jumbo filled episode that clocks in at just under 2 hours! First we talk about some news that includes that PS5 with the jumbo price tag and no disc drive. We discuss the Marvel Vs. Capcom Collection and some initial thoughts that are traveling around the web. Nick talks about the arcade and retro love that can be found in the new PS5 game, Astro Bot. For the pinball corner we tackle both Stern's Uncanny X-Men and Jersey Jack's Avatar: The Battle for Pandora pinball games. We cover the recent stream with Jack Danger and our initial thoughts of how the game looks. We then jump into the Jersey Jack trailer for Avatar: The Battle for Pandora and gleam some information from the deep dive Pinball News recently released. Finally, Gerard shares that he got his first pinball game, Oktoberfest by American Pinball! Gerard shares his initial impressions of the game before talking about the nightmare that is moving a pinball machine up and down stairs. We recorded this episode while checking in and watching Billy Mitchell go for a live, perfect Pac-Man score. We talk about video game personalities, what we have been up to, what gets our goat in the arcade community and so much more......and for the record, to achieve a perfect Pac-Man score (maximum amount of points possible) you have to set the game to start with 6 lives. You then have to play through, eat every pellet and fruit, eat 4 ghosts with every power pellet, not die, and get maximum possible points on level 256...
It's been a really, REALLY, long time since we recorded an episode, but here we are! We discuss recent changes in our lives, arcade gaming, some pinball, the usual banter. We also get to have live updates on new cabinets being installed at Nick's (not arcade, but kitchen cabinets)!
