In Episode 135 of the "Best Coach Ever" podcast, we tackle the all-too-familiar struggle of burnout and overwhelm in the world of online coaching. First off, let's be real—running a coaching business can be mentally and emotionally exhausting. Whether it's creating content, juggling multiple roles, or making endless decisions, it's easy to get overwhelmed. I've been there, and I know so many of you have too.Next, let's talk about that “100 miles per hour” pace some of you are stuck in. Sure, working hard feels good when you're motivated, but if you burn out and drop off the radar for weeks, you're sabotaging your own success. Consistency is key, and building a manageable work routine is non-negotiable if you want to avoid the crash-and-burn cycle. And while we're at it, can we stop with the decision paralysis? Perfection isn't the goal here—B-minus decisions will move your business forward faster than overthinking ever will. Plus, boundaries around your work hours and clients? Total game-changer. You need time to recharge, not respond to messages 24/7.Despite the pressures, you can run a successful business without sacrificing your well-being. So, let's practice some self-compassion, take those breaks, and remember, it's okay to slow down. If you're feeling stuck in the burnout loop, you know where to find me. Let's keep moving forward, but at a pace that lets you enjoy the ride.In this episode, I cover:Introduction and Topic Overview [0:00 - 3:14]- Introduction to the topic of burnout and overwhelm.  - Personal reflections on my struggles with burnout. The Reality of Burnout in Coaching [3:15 - 5:59]- Explaining how coaching, content creation, and decision-making can lead to exhaustion.  - Validating the difficulties of running a business and how it's common to experience burnout. The "100 Miles Per Hour" Trap [6:00 - 8:59]- The pattern of going all-in until burnout, followed by a period of inaction.  - The importance of pacing and creating consistent work habits to avoid this cycle.Managing Time Effectively [9:00 - 11:59]- Encouragement to use Google Calendar or digital tools to manage time.  - Building boundaries around work hours to protect mental health.Setting Work Boundaries [12:00 - 18:29]- Why it's important to establish a routine with specific work hours.  - Sharing my own boundaries: working from Sunday to Thursday and clocking out by 5-6 p.m.Overcoming Decision Fatigue [18:30 - 22:59]- Decision fatigue is a common cause of burnout.  - Tips for reducing fatigue, including getting help from a coach and being okay with “B-minus” decisions.Practicing Self-Care [23:00 - 33:09]- The need for regular exercise, sleep, and mental health practices.  - Personal strategies, like journaling, walking, and hobbies that help disconnect from work.Self-Compassion and Reflection [33:10- 41:22]- Encouraging you to be kind to yourself, stop judging your progress, and embrace imperfections.  - A reminder to appreciate the effort being put into building a business.Final Thoughts and Encouragement [41:23 - End]- Encouraging you to take breaks, set boundaries, and practice self-care.  - Wrapping up with a reminder that business success doesn't require sacrificing personal well-being.

It's Tuesday, March 12th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Elderly British pro-lifer arrested for holding sign outside abortion mill An elderly British woman, Livia Tossici-Bolt, is in trouble for holding up a sign in the proximity of an abortion clinic in Bournemouth, England. It said, “Here to talk, if you want to.” The Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole Council has proceeded to charge Livia with a crime. Her legal defense is supported by Alliance Defending Freedom UK.   The U.K. government passed legislation in the Public Order Act in 2023 enforcing censorial buffer zones around all abortion facilities, and banning any form of “influence.”   Evidently, the home office has since issued a clarification, generously allowing “for women to engage in consensual conversations of their own free will" and "to pray inside of one's own mind.”  Livia was attempting to abide by the narrow confines of these regulations, but she still faces charges. Ukrainian Baptist pastor's daughter and grandson die in drone attack On March 2nd, a Ukrainian Baptist pastor's daughter and grandson died in a drone strike in Odesa, Ukraine, an attack that resulted in the deaths of 12 people. Twenty others were injured.   The Baptist Standard reports that the father and grandfather of the victims is Nikolai Sidak  — “a well-known and respected pastor of an independent Baptist church in Odessa.” Odessa is just south of Kyiv on the Black Sea. Trump meets with Hungary's Victor Orbán despite media naysayers Hungary's president Viktor Orbán met with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump over the weekend at the former president's Mar-a-Lago complex in Palm Beach, Florida. The liberal media is referring to the Hungarian leader as a dictator, a despot, an autocrat, and an authoritarian. Hungary:  A light in Europe Orbán's party, the Hungarian Civic Alliance, was re-elected for a fourth term in 2022 by a vote of 53.7% to 34.4%.   Orbán said, “The horrors of Nazism and communism happened because some Western states in continental Europe abandoned their Christian values.” In addition, he noted, “Today's progressives are planning to do the same.” Why American right has embraced Hungarian President Viktor Orbán Voice of America explained why the American right has embraced the Hungarian President. Hungary is one of the only nations in Europe that prohibits the promotion of transgenderism or homosexuality to minors — legislation that was signed by Orban in 2021.   Mildly pro-life, Orban's government has required that mothers must listen to the heartbeat of their children before having the child aborted. Hungary reported 21,730 immigrants in 2021, compared to Germany's 874,000, Spain's 529,000, France's 336,000, and Italy's 318,000 immigrants.  Plus, the Hungarian government has also nixed all income taxes for mothers under 30 as well as mothers with four or more children. As a result, Hungary's birth rate has improved from 1.25 to 1.55 since 2010. And the Gross Domestic Product per capita increased from $14,000 to $18,000 over the same timeframe.   France added abortion as a constitutional right Meanwhile, on Friday, the French legislature brought the right to abortion into the nation's constitution — what some are calling a “world first.”   The constitutional amendment passed the parliament by a vote of 780 to 72, supported by many “far right” members.  In Psalm 94:3-7, the Psalmist asks, “Lord, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph? They utter speech, and speak insolent things; All the workers of iniquity boast in themselves. They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless. Yet they say, ‘The Lord does not see nor does the God of Jacob understand.'” Highest vs. lowest car insurance rates according to states The highest car insurance rates in the United States for 2024 are found in Louisiana, Florida, California, and Colorado. The lowest car insurance rates can be found in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Ohio, and Idaho. NASDAQ recovered and gold up Last week, the NASDAQ composite index finally recovered its 35% drop from November 2022. The Index dropped 65 points and closed at 16,019 on Monday. Gold increased another $100 over the last week, reaching $2,185 per ounce yesterday.  And silver hovered around $24.50 per ounce Monday, up $1.00 over the last week. Trump ahead in battleground states Both CNN and a website 270ToWin.com, referring to the number of delegates a presidential candidate needs to win, suggests Donald Trump is ahead in this election cycle, especially in the Sun Belt Battleground states.   Joe Biden, the incumbent, is trailing by five points or more in Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada. Psalm 75:6-7 reminds us: “For not from the East or from the West and not from the wilderness comes lifting up, but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another.” Hypersonic plane can travel 3,800-7,700 miles per hour And finally, the company “Stratolaunch” has successfully tested a hypersonic vehicle, with the end goal of providing a reusable space vehicle and, entering the nuclear race for hypersonic delivery vehicles. One news source describes it as the world's largest plane. Hypersonic vehicles travel at 3,800 to 7,700 miles per hour. Wow! That's fast! Dan sits down with former Marine infantry Sergeant Rich Cervantes. Rich enlisted in the USMC in 2001, and trained as a TOW (Tube-launched, Optically tracked, Wire-guided) anti-tank gunner. In this exclusive interview, he tells the story of why he joined, his training, and his experience in Iraq over several deployments with the First Marine Division. He was awarded a Purple Heart, a NAM (Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal), and a Bronze Star, both with Valor. Following are the citations: NAM FOR HEROIC ACHIEVEMENT WHILE SERVING AS TUBE LAUNCHED, OPTICALLY TRACKED, WIRE COMMAND LINK, GUIDED MISSILE SYSTEM (TOW) GUNNER, TOW PLATOON, WEAPONS COMPANY, 3D BATTALION, 7TH MARINES, REGIMENTAL COMBAT TEAM 7, 1ST MARINE DIVISION IN SUPPORT OF OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM ON 8 AND 9 APRIL 2003. CORPORAL CERVANTES WAS TASKED WITH MANNING A VEHICULAR ROADBLOCK ALONG HIGHWAY 6 IN ORDER TO GUARD THE BATTALION'S FLANK. HE OBSERVED A FIVE-TON TRUCK RACING TOWARDS HIS POSITION AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED AND DISREGARDING POSTED INSTRUCTIONS. DESPITE THE FIRING OF WARNING SHOTS, THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO RAPIDLY CLOSE ON THE CHECKPOINT. AS THE TRUCK NEARED, HE ENGAGED IT WITH HIS M240G MACHINE GUN, KILLING THE DRIVER. OUT OF CONTROL, THE VEHICLE CAREENED DIRECTLY INTO HIS TOW VEHICLE, STRIKING IT VIOLENTLY AT OVER 25 MILES PER HOUR. DESPITE SUFFERING NUMEROUS INJURIES FROM THE COLLISION, HE VALIANTLY MAINTAINED HIS POST. CORPORAL CERVANTES' COURAGEOUS ACTIONS, INITIATIVE, AND COMPLETE DEDICATION TO DUTY REFLECTED CREDIT UPON HIM AND WERE IN KEEPING OF THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE MARINE CORPS AND THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE. BRONZE STAR FOR HEROIC ACHIEVEMENT IN CONNECTION WITH OPERATIONS AGAINST THE ENEMY AS TUBE LAUNCHED, OPTICALLY-TRACKED, WIRE COMMAND LINK, GUIDED MISSILE SYSTEM (TOW) MISSILE GUNNER AND VEHICLE COMMANDER, 1ST SECTION, COMBINED ANTI-ARMOR TEAM BLUE, WEAPONS COMPANY, 3D BATTALION, REGIMENTAL COMBAT TEAM-7, 1ST MARINE DIVISION, I MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE ON 17 APRIL 2004, IN SUPPORT OF OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM II. WHILE RESPONDING TO REINFORCE A SNIPER TEAM FROM 1ST FORCE RECONNAISSANCE COMPANY THAT WAS UNDER ATTACK, COMBINED ANTI-ARMOR BLUE'S FOUR VEHICLES WERE CAUGHT IN A DELIBERATE AMBUSH FROM A THREE-STORY CEMENT BUILDING. ALL FOUR VEHICLES WERE HIT AND ONE WAS DISABLED. DESPERATELY UNDERMANNED, WITH ONE DISABLED VEHICLE AND TWO URGENT CASUALTIES, HIS SECTION NEEDED TO BREAK THE AMBUSH. WHILE THREE MARINES SUPPRESSED THE ENEMY POSITION WITH M16S, HE AGGRESSIVELY MANEUVERED HIS VEHICLE WITHIN 70 METERS OF THE BUILDING. REPEATING THE BATTLE DRILL TWO MORE TIMES, HE DESTROYED THE BUILDING AND BROKE THE AMBUSH. LATER IN THE SAME DAY AN INFANTRY PLATOON SUFFERED TWO URGENT CASUALTIES AND WAS PINNED DOWN BY ENEMY FIRE. HE AGAIN LED HIS VEHICLE STRAIGHT INTO THE ENEMY FIRE IN ORDER TO EVACUATE THE CASUALTIES. ENEMY FIRE SHATTERED THE WINDSHIELD OF HIS VEHICLE AS HE SUPPRESSED THE ENEMY WITH HIS M240G MACHINE GUN AND EXTRACTED THE TWO CASUALTIES. HIS BRAVERY IN THESE FIREFIGHTS INSPIRED ALL WHO OBSERVED HIS BOLD ACTIONS. BY HIS ZEALOUS INITIATIVE, COURAGEOUS ACTIONS, AND EXCEPTIONAL DEDICATION TO DUTY, CORPORAL CERVANTES REFLECTED GREAT CREDIT UPON HIMSELF AND UPHELD THE HIGHEST TRADITIONS OF THE MARINE CORPS AND THE UNITED STATES NAVAL SERVICE. In today's episode of Backpacker Radio presented by The Trek, we are joined by Jonathon Stalls. Jonathon is a wildly interesting character who, in 2010, in search of meaning and healing, decided to walk across the length of the country. We learn all about this transformative journey, some of the standout stories along the way- including some instances of the unforeseen kindness of strangers, his alter ego of Cate Blanchett flaring up through the desert, how he was able to fund this journey, an epic poop story, how this expedition turned into his book "WALK: Slow Down, Wake Up, and Connect at 1-3 Miles Per Hour." and his current advocacy work in making urban spaces more pedestrian friendly. This is a deep and honest conversation- and we'd like to offer a trigger warning to listeners that the following interview touches on talks of suicide.  We wrap the show with a triple crown of TV shows and movies we've watched recently, a brief comparison of the Colorado Trail vs. the John Muir Trail, and a stupidest thing of the week- Zach losing his mind due to sleep deprivation edition. Long or short walks? Brisk or slow? Count steps or not? Will walking help me lose weight? How can I be motivated to walk? These are questions that come up for us about our walks, and Dr. Marie Murphy from Northern Ireland and Scotland, who studies walking and is an expert at getting the population to be more active, is the perfect expert to answer these questions and more! The U.S. Navy Blue Angels flight demonstration squadron is not only the world's most well-known group of elite performing aviators.  It's also—and people forget this—a group of elite public affairs and marketing practitioners.  From the pilots to the technicians turning wrenches on the planes, every Blue Angels team member is trained to uphold the unit's 76 years of tradition and legacy. As a brand management exercise, there is perhaps no other initiative in the world as rigorous and disciplined. And at the heart of this publicity apparatus is a small but extraordinary group of public and media relations practitioners whose duties would literally make most strategic communicators pass out. The Blue Angels public affairs team operates under grueling physical conditions, works brutal hours and is held to meticulous standards befitting one of the most storied aviation units in history, where the stakes are always life and death. They populate social media accounts on behalf of the Blue Angels brand, coordinate ride-alongs with local media and VIPs, and are even called upon to fly photography missions with the squadron, experiencing the same adverse G-forces as the pilots themselves. We wanted to tell the story... of the people who tell the Blue Angels' story, embedding with the Blue Angels Public Affairs team for the first segment in this two-part series. So in this episode, we meet the team as they prepare for and fly at the Chicago Air and Water show, one of more than 60 air shows the Blue Angels headline across North America each year. The Blue Angels are supported by a team of more than 150 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel, and we meet a number of them, including: Executive Officer, Commander Jon Fay Maintenance Officer, Lt. Commander Brian Abe #7 Pilot and Narrator, Lt. Commander Griffin Stangel Public Affairs Chief MCC Paul Archer Public Affairs Specialist MC1 Cody Deccio Public Affairs Specialist MC1 Bobby Baldock Public Affairs Specialist MC2 Cody Hendrix Special thanks as well to Blue Angels Public Affairs Officer Lt. On this first Internal Packing List Guide Podcast, we explore the non-material world of human communication as we travel hundreds of thousands of miles per hour together on this great journey. The sixth episode of Can You Colloquy is here and features Orlando's very own 0 Miles Per Hour, whom I like to call a "bubblegum garagepunk skatedoom" band. The project consists of four high school friends seemingly destined to create music. The two founding members have been playing together since the eighth grade, learning the entire Frights catalogue (and later being able to flex that fact to the band themselves by playing Crust Bucket with them at the Soundbar (formerly Backbooth (IYKYK))) together all in the name of playing music and having fun. That's what it's all about, and every time I talk to these guys that's all I'm reminded of. It definitely shows on their 2020 single release "Home", which opens with a mind-boggling swell of noise that explodes into the power chords (NO voice cracks) and energy that 0 Miles Per Hour has been destroying venues across Florida with.
