ré·su·mé [rez-oo-mey, rez-oo-mey] noun 1. a summing up; summary. 2. a brief written account of personal, educational, and professional qualifications and experience, as that prepared by an applicant for a job. In Comic Reader Résumé, I use Mike's Amazing World of Comics to travel back through time via his virtual newsstand to the genesis point of my lifelong collecting of comics. From there, I can offer a “work history” of my fandom through my active purchasing of (relatively) new comic books beginning in January of 1982, when my interest in the medium went from sporadic and unformed to routine on through compulsive accumulation. To streamline the narrative and keep the subjects at least remotely contemporaneous, I will not generally be discussing what we call back issues: books bought long after their publication date. Sometimes, I will cover a book published on a given month that I picked up within a year or so that date, and I give myself an especially wide berth on this aspect in the first couple of “origins” episodes. We'll get more rigidly on point as my memories crystallize and my “hobby” spirals out of control into the defining characteristic of my life (eventually outpacing squalor and competing neuroses.) It's part personal biography, part industry history, and admittedly totally self-indulgent on my part. This episode includes All-Star Squadron #50, Bananas #31 & 69, Blue Devil #17, Crisis on Infinite Earths #7, DC Comics Presents Annual #4, Dreadstar and Company #5, Elfquest #3, The Encyclopedia of Superheroes, Longshot #2-3, Mad Magazine #264 & 270, Marvel Age #8, 16, 22, & 27, Secret Wars II #5, Nathaniel Dusk II #1, The All New, All Daring Peter Parker, the Spectacular #107, The World Encyclopedia of Comics, and more! “Transcripts” #0: Application (1967-1981) July, 1985 Twitter #CRRésumé? The Left continues to attack MAGA Republicans and lie about January 6. The 2021 Atlanta Braves traveled to the White House the other day, and Joe Biden made some more awkward moments. Liberals are claiming that the "Braves" name is offensive again. Biden lies about gas prices being lower than they actually are. We are sending another $12 billion to Ukraine. How much more can we give? It is still amazing that John Fetterman is running for governor when he can't put together a coherent sentence. The rocket that NASA launched to punch an asteroid finally hit its mark last night. It will take another month or so before we learn whether it was able to nudge the asteroid off its course or not. Only a handful of countries still require vaccination to enter ... and America is one of them? A bunch of clueless people see some joggers and think that they need to run for their lives. The world has lost its mind. A doctor's interview from a few years ago proves her current mask hypocrisy. A dog fakes being injured to get food. Learn more about your ad choices. HOW DO WE MAKE THE MOST OF OUR OPPORTUNITY AS PARENTS? On this episode we are joined by Nate Turner. Nate is a TED Speaker, multi time author, and the opportunity he is most grateful for, a father. On this episode we discuss: Helping your child find their purpose What you should do when you find out you will be a parent Preparing your child for whatever they desire to accomplish in life For places to listen, places to connect on social media, to be a guest, collaborate with or sponsor DTE visit: https://linktr.ee/DisruptTheEveryday Nate's website: https://www.nathanielaturner.com/ About Nate Author and TED speaker Nathaniel A. Turner, JD, MALS, is a self-described “Humanity Propulsion Engineer.” Nate is the author of several books, including the children's book series, “The Amazing World of STEM,” and his history-making book, “Raising Supaman.” Turner's appeared in many media outlets, including The Washington Post, Black Enterprise, iHeartRadio, The Good Men Project, Sirius XM, and U.S. News & World Report. Corporations, municipalities, and NGOs like Anthem, Inc., the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the City of Indianapolis, and the National Society of Black Engineers invite Nate to share his practical message for living the life we've always imagined while also serving the greater good. A modern-day Renaissance Man, as evidenced by the diversity of his education, including a bachelor in accounting, masters in history and theology, and doctor of jurisprudence combined with a wide range of personal experiences and professions, are only part of what makes his wide-ranging presentations “can't miss” events. What truly sets Nate apart from others is his unique oft times comical ability not only to see the world differently but to challenge his audiences in an edutaining way to live outside the box so that the world might be able to experience us at our very best. As a zealous advocate that every person has an opportunity to maximize their human potential, Nate regularly shares through books, courses, workshops, and conferences a backward design life process initially created to help his unborn child become a great global citizen and meet the rigorous educational requirements of the top colleges and universities without means of wealth, privilege, legacy status, fraud, bribery, cheating or Adobe Photoshop. Turner's son not only met Harvard's admission benchmarks (i.e., test scores in the top 1%, 33 college credits by his junior year, proficiency in four languages, left home after his junior year to play soccer in Brazil; and started a foundation to address teen homelessness); he eviscerated the profiled criterion by his sixteenth birthday. At present, Turner's son is a third-year Electrical and Computer Engineering Ph.D. candidate at one of the world's premier graduate engineering schools. Today, those tools, techniques, and strategies initially created to help his Gen Zer thrive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution are educational and life development staples for students and parents of all ages and organizations worldwide.

Now Six more upcoming animated projects have been canceled, including "Batman: Caped Crusader," the follow-up to "Batman: The Animated Series" from executive producers Bruce Timm, J.J. Additional projects getting the shaft include "Merry Little Batman," "Did I Do That to the Holidays: A Steve Urkel Story," "The Amazing World of Gumball: The Movie," and two different "Looney Tunes" films, "The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie" and "Bye Bye Bunny: A Looney Tunes Musical." Shuffles ScheduleJames Wan's "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" requires additional time in post-production, likely due to the recent reshoots. The release date has been pushed back yet again to a December 25, 2023 release date, after previously being set for a March 2023 release.  David F. Sanberg's "Shazam: Fury of the Gods" will now be released in March, presumably taking advantage of the vacant IMAX screens. HBO Max originals are nowgetting a theatrical release next year instead. "Evil Dead Rise" has been set for April 21, and Lebron James' reboot of "House Party" will now open in theaters on December 9. "The Nun 2” has been scheduled for September 8, 2023. And the upcoming Stephen King adaptation "Salem's Lot" has been taken off the calendar entirely, leaving its April 21, 2023 spot vacant for now.
