Episode Notes: In an episode that can only be described as inexplicable, The Voice from Half Hour Wasted takes over hosting chores to bring you the kind of episode that only The Voice can. Cobbling together audio musings he has recorded over the past 25 years, The Voice looks into the future (from the past) and gives his dream-cast predictions for various possible movie projects such as Star Wars and Dune. And that's just the first half! Following those predictions from the past, The Voice talks about the MCU, movies from DC, his favorite comics from the Marvel and DC apps, and some general comic book contemplation. Episode Notes: Here we go again with another episode in which I continue my nostalgic trek through G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero from Marvel Comics, one issue at a time. Today, I'm looking at issue #8: "Code Name: Sea-Strike!" by Herb Trimpe, Christie Scheele, and Rick Parker. "Action and adventure Joe style on land, on sea, in the air, and even in outer space, as GI Joe tries to protect a space shuttle launch from the diabolical machinations of Cobra!" Published by Marvel Comics with a cover date of February, 1983. FIND ALL THE G.I. Episode Notes In 1975 writer Doug Moench and Artist Don Perlin, in need of a villain powerful enough to subdue and capture a werewolf, created a throw away character they called The Moon Knight. 47 years later Moon Knight has become the avatar of an Egyptian Moon God, the Fist of Khonshu, a hero who punishes evil despite battling with dissociative identity disorder, and the star of his own, self-titled, six episode mini series on Disney Plus set smack dab in the middle of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is the first part in a multi-part series of episodes in which I look at the publishing history of Moon Knight in Marvel Comics to see how the character went from a minor villain in a book about a werewolf, to the complex, multi-faceted, hero we know today. In today's episode I'm looking at Moon Knight's first appearance in Werewolf By Night 32 and 33 from 1975. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Are all the Sin City comics (to date) published in one volume? When is Spider-Man's Birthday? Are you making fun of comics? Episode Notes It's that time, once again, to continue my read through Madman, one issue at a time. In this episode I talk about Madman Comics #6 by Mike and Laura Allred. "Hang on to your hair piece! It's Big Guy a go-go! Mike Allred introduces the latest addition to the Legend line-up in this thunderous two-part story pitting Frank Miller and Geof Darrow's Big Guy against Snap City's super-sensation, Madman! Madman's mad-scientist buddy, Dr. Boiffard, is suffering from an ever-expanding brain that's soaking up information like a roll of quilted Bounty. The American government figures Boiffard's got one valuable load of headcheese so it sends its golden retriever, The Big Guy, to reel in the big fish! Can Madman stop the ten-foot tall, twelve-hundred-pound armory from kidnapping his old buddy?! What doesn't kill him makes him sore for weeks!" Published by Dark Horse in March, 1995. Episode Notes Here it is, folks. Episode 250 in all it's naked glory! Which just means that I live streamed this episode on YouTube as I was recording it and I decided to leave everything in. The long pauses, the mistakes, pretty much all of it. In fact, I called the show the Just Another Podcast and while I normally would have gone back and recorded that part over, I didn't do that for this one. Buckle up, folks because this show is all over the place as I talk about podcasting, I answer listener questions, lose my train of thought, veer off on tangents, and even talk about Our Flag Means Death. Good luck with this one. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Episode Notes This is the episode in which I talk about the movie Spider-Man: No Way Home. Before I give my thoughts, I recap the movie, spoiling a lot, but not the ending. So be warned now for all the spoilers. But here's the thing, while I won't timestamp all of the spoilers, I do want to give you a chance to skip what I think is one of the biggest. 27:30 to 27:56. (I'll play a little spoiler song) If you want to a avoid a big spoiler, skip that part. You might also want to skip 31:52 to 36:46 because I reference the spoiler a few times in there as well. Though, please come back after you've watched the movie because I pose what I feel is a big question here.
