News, reviews, and conversation about Guild Ball, the tabletop game of Medieval football.
We take a look (back) at the big March 1 releasepocalypse and talk about new releases and errata. Interviews are so 2015.
There's suddenly a lot to talk about, and it's complicated. There's production changes, reordered minor guilds, new captains, even a new player card to forget about till the end. We also have a hazing incident where we set Kevin straight on who the best striker is. This podcast is free, folks!
Back on schedule, like clockwork. Speaking of clocks, we decide if the new timeing rules are good bad or indifferent. Then we talk about why there is no such thing as casual guild ball players. And we close it out with some kvetching about where rules get posted for some reason, I wasn't really paying attention to be honest.
Kevin's back on the show, Phil is back from Mexico and Bill's back to intentionally saying things that I have to edit out. We talk about what Phil missed and the championships update, release schedules, navigators influence allocation and all sorts of things. It's an episode that required all of North America to make.
Phil has lost the plot so Bill and some canadian guy make a show. They catch up on canadian weather, steamcon over there, and a bunch of things about actually playing the game for a change.
It's our Steamcon US afterparty. Like two weeks overdue. Also, Phil wonders what we're supposed to be excited about with this draft thing. Bill is excited about Alchemists though!
Come along on a properly purple podcast as Phil, Bill, and guest companyman Jamie P reveal Union and Order Season 4 stuff. See you at Steamcon!
We return to kvetch about season 4 with limited information. We also throw shade at Phil's day job by trashing the use of apps. It's a podcast. It's free.
This week we dig into the rest of the Navigators and why they're the best 1/3 of another guild in the game, then Phil has a massive rant about the way Cooks look before eventually saying they're great (in context). Maybe we talk about Big League too.
Yes, it's been a while. The move was crazy and then we lost a show, but through thick and thin we have returned! Hear us spill the tea on season 4 previews and Horizon. Phil evangelizes the Combo Key, and bill talks about new players. Bonus chat with Jamie P about gaming in general as opposed to Guild Ball in particular. Best of all, garageband didn't crash.
We wrap up the exiles with Harry and Honour, get a glimpse of what it's like to pull together a huge event, talk about donuts, and rap about team building. Oh and congratulations to Kevin Finch for winning the Bonesaw.
The exiles take center stage as bill professes some uncommon opinions, reports on adepticon, and then we accidentally talk about Godtear for like twenty minutes.
With Bill on the road Phil puts on his snow shoes and heads for the great white north for a guest host. Listen in as Kevin Stewart and Phil talk about OP Documents, the Exiles (so far) and propbably poutine.
Bill and Phil set out to talk about a lot, but in the end they spent so long talking about errata and gameplan cards that they ran out of time for the rest. Come for the news, stay for the light jazz.
The proper lineup is back this week as we turn our attention to some contentious new releases, the horror of the birdman, a new kind of leak, some back and forth about balance and errata frequency, plus the usual assortment of twitter questions.
Bill called in sick at the last minute and Phil was ready to make a show, so he did. Phil should not be allowed to work alone. It gets weird. Twitter questions and bass lessons. Fasten your seat belts.
We've got painted Ratcatchers, plastic replacement is happening. Back them or else. There's some events coming up too. Oh and then I rant about some stuff that happened the next day.
The guys cast the bones and read the tea leaves and discuss what they're looking forward to in 2018. We don't discuss 2017, but the listeners do.
This time around we revisit steamcon and Bill gets his rants in, talk about how weird the plastic fish thing is based on some huge presumptions, and go over the best OPD change ever. Sorry about the barking.
Steamcon US has come and gone, but the real Steamcon was inside us all along. Phil gives a quick rundown of the keynote that wasn't supposed to be a keynote, hates on the haters, and wonders about the Mist problem.
On this interSteamcon episode we get to find out what Bill thinks of all the news and notes from one Steamcon, and what we're looking forward to at another Steamcon.
Phil's on his own this week giving a recap of the Steamcon UK Keynote's major points.
The guys chat about Union in Chains some more, round up the sculpts and resculpts, check on the seasonal releases, community updates and twitter questions.
The guys chat about Union in Chains, what's wrong with the Decimate renders, Steamcon, and answer twitter questions.
Phil talks about the new plastic minis now that he's had a few days with them. There's good, there's less good, there's a real change in what it means to be a Guild Ball mini - and that's ok.
