LGBTQIA+ Finding strength in your community; real conversations with people who inspire & make a difference.
Yep the Holidays have arrived and so has Adele's realization that she really is not good at speaking Spanish
We had great time hanging out with Trish Torrales and Meg Butterworth. Trish Torrales is a singer/songwriter from Long Island, NY and is not new to the local music scene. She has played all over NYC, Long Island and has appeared on shows such as American Idol and MTV. We don't want to say too much...but Adele went to see her play in Wantagh, NY and was completely blown away by her vocal/guitar style and with Meg's harmonies ...well that sealed the deal! AMAZING!!! So Listen in to hear it for yourself!!!!
Adele, Yvonne & Joshua chat it up about PRIDE, and what it represents to them personally. Also, Adele asks herself, "Am I lacking?" "Do I need more queer friends in my life?" In this episode she realizes that she misses the safety and comfort she feels being surrounded the LGBTQIA+ community. LISTEN, LAUGH, LOVE @mixdkinish
The Trans community is filled with diversity, beauty and people who are living in their truth. As per HRC there is an estimated 2 million transgender people in the United States alone. With all the beauty that our trans siblings bring to the community we cannot forget the discrimination, inequality, violence and stigma they face. That's why it important that we stand with them in these times and fight for equality with strength love and fortitude.

We have all been there....singing along to your favorite song on the radio and realize you have been singing your own version of the song. Let's face it...sometimes what we hear is not what is really being said. We had a good time doing this episode. Remember "Sing Like No one is Listening" to you singing the wrong made up lyrics that you're singing and make no sense.
Yes we are back!!! Hello Again Hello

This week we recap previous episode of Debra's Journey with breast cancer and what an impact it made on us
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Debra is an open book. She shares her journey with breast cancer. Despite complications, ups and downs and that her cancer treatment had to be "low & slow" she fought the whole way through. This was my first time meeting Debra and the words stoic and resilience come to mind when I think about her journey . I am humbled by her courage and her heart to want to help educate others who are going through breast cancer and similar procedures to help them along the way.GET YOUR TATA'S CHECKEDCOMPLETE SELF BREAST EXAMS - ALL GENDERShttps://www.nationalbreastcancer.org/breast-self-exam/If you or someone you know has breast cancer and wants to speak to someone who has gone through a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, reconstructive breast surgery and cosmetic tattooing? In this episode Summer and Katie express that love is not based on gender; instead it's about the person you fall for. Happy Bday Katie! XO -MK LISTEN, LAUGH, LOVE @mixdkinish

It's always nice to be reminded that we don't have to be going nonstop in life. It's okay to "Take a Minute". Hell, take more than one. For some of us it is difficult to just BE STILL. I know that I have to remind myself everyday that I'm not responsible for everything and everyone. So we hope you are encouraged to take a minute to be, to exist, and to breathe.
