The companion podcast to the hit YouTube Channel.
So, can Arnie actually act? Let's find out together as we discuss the post apocalyptic drama that is Maggie. Arnie has to be a big sad boy in this one and a loving father at the same so it's quite an ask for our favorite heavy object carrier. There was some buzz around this indie film at the time of its release but was it deserved? twitch.tv/epiccouchtime twitch.tv/brettingtonfrothingslosh discord.gg/gdTEUm9p6c
Well this month I wanted to reset our palates with the continued year of Arnie and, boy, did we accomplish that with this giant flaming turd of a movie. Lock in for a nonsensical plot, lazy acting, and a film that can't figure out what genre it wants to be. Backing to mining Arnie gold in May! twitch.tv/epiccouchtime twitch.tv/brettingtonfrothingslosh discord.gg/gdTEUm9p6c
Happy MARSch, everyone! That's right, Arnie 2025 continues and this month it's another classic - Total Recall. And of course not that garbage remake but the OG masterpiece showing off some interesting practical effects and less puns. Arnie really showing growth as artist in this one. So buckle up and get your ass to Mars with your boys! twitch.tv/epiccouchtime twitch.tv/brettingtonfrothingslosh discord.gg/gdTEUm9p6c
THE YEAR OF ARNIE IS UPON US!!!! That's right, we decided that Arnie desired an entire year to fully appreciate. Pat hasn't seen a lot of these absolute gems so it makes it even more fun. He is a one man killing machine and they kidnapped his daughter. Do you think he can literally kill everyone including a private militia? Tune in to find out. twitch.tv/epiccouchtime twitch.tv/brettingtonfrothingslosh discord.gg/gdTEUm9p6c
Happy New Year, NERDSSSSS!!! Pat and Brett are back with an absolute banger of an action film. This may be when Arnie peaked. He really activates his "acting" skills in this gem and bought some dad jokes wholesale to fill up this baby. I hope your New Years resolution was to spend more time listening to us. twitch.tv/epiccouchtime twitch.tv/brettingtonfrothingslosh discord.gg/gdTEUm9p6c
2024 really flew by didn't it? We watched 11 movies together this year and it was time well spent with you all. It's time for Brett and Pat to rank the viewed movies of 2024. Do you think we agree or disagree or aggressively disagree? Tune in to see if our friendship survived 2024 and if we'll see you all in 2025! twitch.tv/epiccouchtime twitch.tv/brettingtonfrothingslosh discord.gg/gdTEUm9p6c
This month is a film neither of your pretty good friends, Pat and Brett, have seen: Longlegs. Did Nic Cage get to be Nic Cage? How long were this guys legs? Is there a daddy joke anywhere in there? All questions we try to answer this month along with some side chat about Halloween and Brett's amateur photography. As always, join the Discord and catch Pat on Twitch every week. And stay tuned in December for our 2024 wrap up show! twitch.tv/epiccouchtime twitch.tv/brettingtonfrothingslosh discord.gg/gdTEUm9p6c
We spent our time exploring the Norwegian wilderness hunting trolls alongside Hans and some college dopes. Join us as we talk about a movie with one of the most frustrating endings we've seen. Creature effects and CGI were both really good and make up for weak plot points so tune in to find out if it's worth your time!
Are you a punk rocker? Are you a socially awkward weirdo? Are you directionless and seeking love? Or are you too cool for all that? Either way, check out Dinner in America as it gets the Brett and Pat seal of approval. It's a dark comedy and a coming of age tale not often told but a great journey. twitch.tv/epiccouchtime twitch.tv/brettingtonfrothingslosh discord.gg/gdTEUm9p6c
This month we are seeing if a slapstick comedy from South Park creator's Matt and Trey can hold up today. It's got jokes and it's got visual gags throughout but the question remains...does any of it land? Well, time for you time find out I guess. twitch.tv/epiccouchtime twitch.tv/brettingtonfrothingslosh discord.gg/gdTEUm9p6c
We are in the deep heat of the summer and it's a perfect time for a coming of age tale set against the backdrop of a high school summer in Ohio. The writing, the acting, and the characters of this film will captivate you and with it's R rating, language wasn't toned down to make it hit that PG-13 summer market. Even as a R, it's not a boner comedy about sex and boobies but just a really fun film. Give it a shot and listen along to how Brett and Pat enjoyed it as well. twitch.tv/epiccouchtime twitch.tv/brettingtonfrothingslosh discord.gg/gdTEUm9p6c
Blood, check. Gore, check. Bad practical effects, check. Even worse CGI, check. Nonsensical plot? You betcha! I don't think you really need to know that much more about Machine Girl. It's truly a spectacle you have to witness for yourself. Tune in as we try to make sense out of this Japanese masterpiece. twitch.tv/epiccouchtime twitch.tv/brettingtonfrothingslosh discord.gg/gdTEUm9p6c
It's Brett turn to pick again and we know what that means! That's right, Pat is going to be un-comf-ort-able. Join in as we discuss a Korean classic that got Brett into the Korean film genre. This film heads in directions that no one sees coming and asks the audience, "does anyone win in the end?" twitch.tv/epiccouchtime twitch.tv/brettingtonfrothingslosh https://discord.gg/gdTEUm9p6c
Brett stays on his best behavior as long as he can as the boys discuss one of Pat's fav films, and directors Wes Anderson, all while hoping Pat doesn't get swept away to Oz. There's time for Wes critique at the end that turns Pat into a man who paces in fury. Enjoy!
Have you ever wondered what would happen if an unknown punk band dead-set on keeping it real witnesses a horrible crime only to find out the true nightmare begins when they encounter a Patrick Stewart, with an opposing belief system than Jean-Luc Picard but with all the cunning, deciding their fate? Well then, it sounds like Green Room is a much watch. Pat and Brett discuss the best film we've watched so far this year and why, in the end, past it's visceral production it should be a goto for any fan of the thriller genre. http://twitch.com/epiccouchtime http://twich.com/brettingtonfrothingslosh
Pat is a Disney adult and Brett has diarrhea. Join us as we discuss a movie that not only did NOT hold up but probably wasn't good to begin with. Feel free to watch it and follow along if you need to scratch that ultimate masochistic itch. http://twictch.tv/epiccouchtime http://twitch.tv/brettingtonfrothingslosh
It's ya boys Pat and Brett as promised. We briefly catch up on our holidays and dive right into the star of the show: The Last Starfighter. Brett finally got Pat to watch one of his favorite childhood movies. Have a listen and see what Pat thinks about the film 40 years later! https://www.twitch.tv/brettingtonfrothingslosh https://www.twitch.tv/epiccouchtime
We've been gone for awhile so it was time we got together and talked about the future of the PGPU. Join Pat and Brett as they discuss where things are headed, where things have been, and how things are currently going. Http://twitch.tv/epiccouchtime Http://twitch.tv/brettingtonfrothingslosh
It's a PGPU Special! The boys are reunited and recording this episode in Pat's backyard while smoking cigars and judging the personality traits of garbage people. Tune in and find out if you are one of the Homies or need to go right to Jail without passing Go. This was a ton of fun so tune in!
Ya boys are back, baby! This time we debate the merits of your favorite fast food chains. Tune in so you can have your opinion validated or find out why you opinion is completely wrong. This isn't up for debate. We are the tastemakers and we will not accept any backtalk! Also, thanks for tuning in like always.
Pat was afraid that a meat tier wouldn't have enough content but what Pat didn't factor in was that Brett was in full Friday mode with a box of wine no F's to be seen. THis devolves into what you would expect, honestly, so come enjoy our usual brand of nonsense. Let us know what meat you would populate in your S aka b-hole tier!
The boyz are back and we're ranking sodas this time. Pat was in charge of making the tier which will become self evident as the episode progresses. As a bonus, we also pop the top on the new Sierra Mist replacement Starry and give our opinion on this new potable. Blame the just disrespectful amount of sugar in these drinks as we go off the rails several times. Hope you enjoy and we'll talk to you all again soon!
EPISODE CONTAINS SPOILERS YO! Sorry for the long break but we are back! Pat and Henry join me this podcast to discuss the Netflix hit show, Wednesday. I think we talked about the actual show occasionally between the nonsense that occurs when you get us three geniuses on a call. More to come so stay tuned for even more shenanigans.
WARNING: EPISODE CONTAINS SPOILERS We dive right back into Part 2 of Stranger Things Season 4. We have THOUGHTS. You'll want to listen to this one as it goes off the rails pretty often and occasionally steers itself back on track but not until after some serious nonsense. After the ST discussion we hop over to Prey, the Hulu original Predator prequel/reboot. Stay tuned for some pretty strong and accurate French accents. Thanks as always for listening and catch you next time!
WARNING: EPISODE CONTAINS SPOILERS In the inaugural episode of the expanded Pretty Good Podcast Universe, we dive right into a very deep dive of Strange Things 4 Part 1 episode by episode. We really enjoyed this season but we do have a lot of minor grievances to explore and let's see if you agree. Stay tuned for even more content from the expanding universe and make sure to comment what franchise or series you want us to reflect on next! Anywho, we're back at it again with our typical brand of bullshit and we know you love it. Lee hits us with an Aussie Report which requires us to pick a better outcome for our currently ailing Aussie. Some discussion of the PGC Con and a shout out to our boy Patrick and his D-Funny Podcast (on Spotify). So jam this noise into your earholes and holla back atcha boys!
What up, party people? Happy Spring to those in the Northern Hemisphere and whatever to those in the Southern Hemisphere which we are pretty sure doesn't exist. This episode has some spicy moments and some hot takes. There's definitely some clippable moments to be revisited. Lee gets "Mexican" food from a gas station and doesn't die in this month's Aussie Report. A wise man once said, "We're not exactly striving for good taste."
We are TIRED. Not of you but as in a lack of quality sleep. All that said, it's still a quality episode for a bunch of sleepyheads especially with one powering through Sangria. Lee provides an Aussie report right on queue as well. PGC Con 2022 IS a thing and the dates are available in the PGC Discord. Better planning to follow but get those vacation requests in now, fam! If you want to follow Brett on twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/brettingtonfrothingslosh
Hey, cool cats and kittens! (Are the kids still saying that?) Anyway, here we are in February and we're still pumping out that content you know and expect. We have four episodes to review this month and of course an Aussie Report from Lee. Spoiler: now that Lee is a father, he has officially reached full Karen (or Sheila) status. Stay tuned for details on PGC Con '22 in the coming months and we'll talk to you all again soon. Happy New Year! New year, same us but what else would you expect? We reminisce about our holiday experiences and go deep into that Jacque Pepin catalog. A pretty sober podcast this month as we are both giving our livers a bit of holiday recovery time. Lee hits us with a new Aussie report and we finally get around to to answering his previous month's tier question. Join us in Discord to see the final tier and to create a tier of your own focused on trashy, awful casual American restaurants.
Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals! It's the last PGC Podcast of 2021 already and it's been a great year. We are up to our usual ramblings around the month of PGC releases, but also as usual, this month is mostly off topic in the best ways. Lee hits us with a tier list of his own for this month's Aussie Report which we will dig deeper into in the new year. Lastly, but certainly not leastly, we read through listener submissions describing their best and worst Christmas presents before discussing our own. Buckle up and make sure you got your tickets for the sentimentality train this month! Thanks, everyone, for a great 2021 and look forward to talking with you all again in 2022. (Hopefully see you at PGC Con as well [details to follow]).
Sup, nerds?! So you want 3 hours of PGC goodness? Well, ya welcome, cuz that's what you are getting this month! We got a month of episodes to discuss, an Aussie report, and A PRODUCE TIER LIST!!! *inset air horns*. That's right. Phil and I come up with a podcast consensus about 97 fruits and veggies and where they rank. We want to see your tiers too so please play along and drop your tier into the Discord. Tier link: https://tiermaker.com/create/pgc-podcast-produce-1321588 Join Phil's Extra Life stream in 06/Nov starting at 8am EST: https://www.twitch.tv/prettygoodcooking Join Brett 16/Nov at 8pm EST for an interview and a Thanksgiving Tier discussion: https://www.twitch.tv/davyiseatingasandwich
Hello, friends! This month's podcast covers a lot of catching up on the end of our summer season from vacations and other fun stuff. We of course go through the past month's episodes like always but take a good amount of time to just converse. Despite everything going on, it was a pretty nice summer and hope all you had a nice one as well. We get a little life update from Lee in the Aussie report. Make sure to check in with him on Discord. Catch you all next month!
The two birthday boys get to chatting like the older, wiser men that they are. Good amount of digressions in this month's episode as well as some stories from Vegas spawned from the Aussie Report. Plus, this one is under 2 hours long so you have literally no excuse to pass this one up and if you do, I will hunt you down and ask you really nicely to listen.
Sup, nerds? That's right, you've just been frick'n ROASTED. Just like everyone else this month apparently. Pat joins us again as the third mic and it was great having him on board this month. He even remembered to switch his audio input to his actual external mic this time too! Amazing. Anyway, you know what to expect so enjoy and just remember, we forgive Lee but we will never forget. Please support Danny too! https://www.twitch.tv/humanjuke81
It's officially two years of podcasts in the books. This episode was recorded, live, in person, in Midwestern-nice, Central Ohio. Don't miss the reveal of Season Three's podcast theme in this episode either. There was a lot to cover this episode since we punted it a bit down the calendar so we could record in person but every episode is covered and we even get a new Aussie Report. Thanks for all your support for the last two years. Check out Danny's Twitch stream: https://www.twitch.tv/humanjuke81
Who else thought May went by extremely fast? I know we both can't believe it's time already to connect with you guys. Similar freeform format as last month as that was pretty successful and a new Aussie Report as always. Next month will be 2 years worth of episodes in the books so stand by for something special for that. Until then, enjoy our usual bullshit with maybe a few more yawns from us than usual.
A rolling stone gathers no moss. I'm large and round like a stone and moss is yucky. SO we are changing things up this month with the format and going more off the cuff. Don't worry though, all your fav bits like the Aussie Report are still present and great as always. I surprise Phil with a special guest for the episode and it made for one of our best ones ever. Plugs: https://www.twitch.tv/epiccouchtime https://www.patreon.com/prettygoodcooking
Today is Phil's Anniversary and he's choosing to spend part of if with Brett (of all people). What can you expect this month? Why do you even ask? Episodic goodness with the appropriate amount of tangents and great segments from Pat and Lee as always. We are coming up on our two year pod-versary soon and need a theme song update for it so if you are musically inclined, hit us up! Support Pat and Henry: http://www.twitch.tv/epiccouchtime
We get pretty deep this month...and that's not a bad thing. We've also come to realize once again that John is truly the MVP of PGC and we don't deserve his creative genius. The Meet the Fambly segment is back with our boy, Big Tom, joining us. (Spoiler: he's not that big). Pat has another question that just demands you search deep into your soul for an answer and Lee hits us up with a month's worth of his thoughts. All this and more so don't miss it! Please support Vintage 86 Aprons, Spicy Mike's Hot Sauces, and Epic Couch Time. Show them all the love, please.
Happy New Year, everybody. New year but same Phil and Brett, just like you always wanted. Sure we talk about the month's episodes like usual (kinda) but we also have a new segment from Pat from Epic Couch Time (Check them out: https://www.twitch.tv/epiccouchtime). Lee gives an impassioned review of the Crocodile Dundee film that no one asked for and Brett tries his best to have more energy than Jeb.
Happy Holidays, everyone! We do our usual thing and veer off into some fun tangents. Great topics and discussions this month as well as Lee's first trip to the American garbage dump known as Taco Bell for the Aussie Report. Stay safe and we will talk to you all in the new year.
Hey everybody! So it's that Thanksgiving time of year again and it's also time for a monthly review. Why not sit back and think about how thankful you are to have PGC and this dumb little podcast in your lives? You know what we do, so it's more of that PLUS another interview with the PGB Fambly. I don't want to spoil it for you, but you may know him by his SPOOOOON. Have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving and we'll talk to you again in December!
Another month, another podcast. Don't worry, it's all over the place as usual. Phil's dogs were NOT making good decisions this month and would not stop being barky boys. That's ok though since Brett's mic has a weird echo on it. It all ends of being a cacophony of nonsense like usual. Lee reviews the KFC Slab and we get to talk to one of our fav fambly member's Stephanie! So tune in and VOTE THIS NOVEMBER!
Brett and Phil get into their usual shenanigans around the last month's episodes but there's some new goodies to be found. We introduce a new segment and get to meet the first of many people in the extended PGC Fambly! Also, if you need a Jeb Bush story to brighten your day or night or afternoon then you don't want to miss this month.
This episode we take a trip to Brett's Happy Place (get your mind out of the gutter). Why is Brett happy? Well because he's on vacation at the time of this recording, that's why. We cover the usual month's worth of youtube episode, discuss this month's Aussie Report about food-centric films, and also reveal a new upcoming segment for the podcast.
What a weird existence we've all had during these trying times. Venture into what Phil has dubbed "Brett's Dark Place" for this month's episode. We talk about Brett feeling blah and the looming Goya sadness. The month's episodes are sort of talked about but this definitely a more stream of consciousness month. The Aussie Report really suits the feel of this episode. So tune in to explore Brett's Dark Place and see if he emerges on the other side.
That's 1 year of podcasts in the book, folks! Thank you everyone for being loyal and awesome listeners. We unveil Season Two's theme right off the bat and get into the usual monthly review. Tons of tangents as always and little discussion about the actual episodes which is what you expect from us at this point. Lee also tries something branded as "Budget Scotch" for this month's Aussie Report. Pray for his recovery!
https://www.gofundme.com/f/devastating-fire-at-holcomb039s-haven-homestead A month's worth of mostly soup! But don't worry, it's a good one! We go off on a crazy amount of tangents, perhaps more than usual. Lee is back with an Aussie Report to convince to play some kid's game. Stay tuned until the very end as we have a poll question for you. Comment here or join us in Discord (in the PGC Podcast Channel) to lets us know what you think! https://discord.gg/N3T3ua
The quarantine continues and so does the podcast. We cover the five episodes within this span and talk about the current situation as well as the status of PGC Con. Since Brett couldn't even remember to procrastinate on this one, there is no official Aussie Report this month but don't worry, we still shout out to our boy, Lee. I hope everyone is well and stay safe everyone!
The first podcast to be recorded during these trying times. Come spend some socially distant time with us. We cover the usual month in review as well as a rather odd Aussie Report.
