In this episode of the Every Church Flourishing Podcast by the Great Commission Association of California, hosts Pastor Christopher Cole and Dr. Chase Thompson interview the senior directors of the GCA, including Dr. Michael Stewart, Ms. Lannette Lozano and Dr. Se J. Won about topics ranging from prayer to mission fields, to prayer and great pastoral resources. Chase and Chris also taste test Lester's Fixins Ranch Dressing Soda and barely survive the experience. In terms of what makes a church healthy and flourishing, there's no good answer to that question that doesn't begin with what Jesus said in John 15 about abiding in Him. - Chris Cole. "I've been to churches where there is an inauthentic, almost Stepford Wives too bright, too shiny kind of vibe where people greet you like you're their long-lost brother that they haven't seen in years…I would much prefer, rather than bright hot, gleaming and polished smiles, I would much prefer something more genuine, warm real and authentic. The way to make that happen is not a program, but to preach the Gospels, preach the epistles, and cultivate a people who value biblical humility, biblical serving, biblical gentleness and biblical warmth. There's no program or strategy that replaces the kind of outflow of the Fruit of the Spirit that should come from an authentic church with real greeters - that is massively important to reach your community. It may not grow you into a megachurch, but it will grow you into a place where people will come and feel welcomed and feel real warmth. " "People don't want to be sold on Jesus. That's not the same as saying we don't want to invite them to a real-world encounter with the Good News of Jesus Christ and the hope that we have…When we center the gospel into the middle of authentic relationships, it should overflow into how we greet guests, do outreaches, and how we teach people to grow up into disciples of Jesus." Chris Cole Resources mentioned: Thom Rainer's Becoming a Welcoming Church. Daniel Henderson's Old Paths, New Power: Awakening Your Church through Prayer and the Ministry of the Word. "There is a great need for spiritual renewal and awakening…for us to see something that can't be explained by numbers or logic, for us to see God move in such a way that we can only say that was God. If I'm not right with God, then what we do, doesn't really matter." Dr. Se J. Won. Waking the Dead - John Eldredge (Dr. Stewart) "Who we are matters more than what we do. We must have a good sense of our relationship with Christ, and who we are in ourselves and how we interact with other people." Chris Cole. Steve Cuss - Managing Leadership Anxiety, Yours and Theirs Peter Scazzero: The Emotionally Healthy Leader: How Transforming Your Inner Life Will Deeply Transform Your Church, Team, and the World. In today's episode of Backpacker Radio presented by The Trek, brought to you by LMNT, we are joined once again by outdoor filmmaker and long-distance backpacker, Lauren "Longway" Roerick. Lauren shares the highs and lows of a massive year of international backpacking and adventure, including dragging her "indoor cat" brother along on the 88 Temple Pilgrimage in Japan and her not in such great shape dad on the Camino del Norte in Spain, her less than stellar experience on the Via Dinarica and how one especially unfortunate stretch in Montenegro ultimately forced her off trail, quickly rinsing the palette with some gorgeous hiking on the Transcaucasian Trail in Georgia, and her experience hiking the Santa Fe to Taos Trail as part of our "get paid to thru-hike" sponsorship. We also learn more about Lauren's background, including a chaotic international divorce, learning calculus in Chinese, and how she once sang opera although refuses to do so for you- we forgive her and this is a fun, inspirational chat regardless. We wrap the show with a hidden gem thru-hike in New York, a Triple Crown of Pop (not SODA!), and what trail traditions should be celebrated on spring equinox. Today's Poll Question at Smerconish.com: Should states ban the use of food assistance benefits for purchasing candy and soda? A growing number of states are reconsidering what SNAP benefits should — and shouldn't — cover, with Oklahoma now banning the purchase of candy and sugary drinks using food assistance. Michael breaks down the arguments on both sides: public health advocates who say taxpayers shouldn't subsidize chronic disease, and critics who warn of stigma, slippery slopes, and government overreach into personal choices. With data, real-world examples, and a sharp look at unintended consequences, this episode asks whether limiting SNAP purchases promotes nutrition — or simply polices poverty. If you use code DrMatthea at checkout you save. • Meal Boosters Savory Protein Powder (White Cheddar) – Perfect on popcorn for movie nights. Tastes just like classic white cheddar seasoning and adds easy protein without sacrificing flavor.• Joyburst Protein Soda – said the name wrong on the episode but correctly written here, 20 calories, 4 grams of protein per can. Found at Costco and surprisingly became a regular favorite for both adults and kids.Cookbooks I recommend:• Skinnytaste High Protein: 100 Healthy, Simple Recipes to Fuel Your Day • Devotion Nutrition CookbookHave a great weekend — I'll see you Monday as we head into February! All of the information on this podcast is for general informational purposes only. “What's the real price of a viral jingle — and why is everyone suddenly making soda songs?”That's the eyebrow‑raising question that kicks off another wildly entertaining episode of The Ben & Skin Show, featuring the full crew: Ben Rogers, Jeff “Skin” Wade, Kevin “KT” Turner, and Krystina Ray.Back in the studio after a stretch of remote broadcasts, KT arrives fully loaded with five days' worth of chaotic audio, and the team wastes no time diving into the bizarre, hilarious, and occasionally emotional highlights of the week.

Happy Friday! We tried to "motivate" people one day away from completing Dry January, a plow truck driver in Philly went viral, and TikTok users are attempting soda jingles. We got introduced to a woman who went viral for her cream cheese review (for all the wrong reasons) and had some fun with "Fill In The Blank Friday!" Today the guys get a little freaky. Bob mentions that he's been getting some freaky videos on his Instagram reels. This causes Chuy to pull up his Instagram explorer and to show the guys what he likes to interact on his feed. Then Matt tells his story about how his daughter showed him the hot new dirty soda shop that has now opened up in the area. Then the guys get into facts of the day and get into a little debate about ear candling. Support the show: https://www.klbjfm.com/mattandbobfm/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Another day, another high of 14° today. It's Thursday, so that means we asked each other Hypothetical questions. Brian's question was the classic "Trolley dilemma" Jean's was: "Would you rather be completely alone all the time or have people around all the time?" Also on Thursdays, we talk to Office Cora to find out what she's up to in the 715 this weekend. Today, she also recapped her experience at last weekend's Riverfront Revolt. In the news this morning, a candidate for Governor of WI has dropped out of the race, a lawsuit involving Costco's rotisserie chicken, a recall on Gerber biscuits, and UPS is cutting a bunch of jobs nationwide. In sports, the Badgers overcame a 20-point deficit to beat the Gophers last night, the Bucks are in Washington tonight, Giannis trade rumors are starting to really heat up with the NBA trade deadline looming, the Browns have hired a new head coach, and another golfer is leaving LIV and heading back to the PGA tour. We talked about what's on TV today/tonight and discussed Neilsen's 2025 year-end streaming numbers. A guy in Wisconsin was rescued by some strangers after he fell through the ice on a lake while trying to ice fish, and a snowplow driver cleared the way for a woman to get her baby to the hospital in Cincinnati during a snow storm. Elsewhere in sports, the Duke QB officially transfers to Miami, the giant amount of money expected to be wagered on the Super Bowl, and a "cursed" NBA game!!! Google recently released some stats on what kind of winter-related searches were popular during the last few weeks, and a viral jingle for Dr. Pepper has inspired many other people to try and create jingles for their favorite sodas. And in today's episode of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a guy who cut off his own foot to get into medical school, a substitute teacher in Las Vegas who got fired after using the N-word during a class, a bunch of sewage is flowing into the Potomac River and creating a "geyser of poop", a #FloridaMan who was trying to toughen up his kid, and another #FloridaMan who was banging his vacuum in the middle of the street in broad daylight.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Send us a textHello and welcome to our show. In this episode of Just Talkin Outloud, we crack open a bottle of Mr. Bubble Bubblegum Soda and put it through our official (and very serious) taste-test process.First up: the pour. We ranked the color—because let's be honest, if a soda looks like cough syrup, we're already nervous. Then came the smell test, where childhood nostalgia battled head-on with a very real “does this smell like medicine?” moment. Finally, the big question: does it actually taste like bubblegum? We break down whether this soda delivers on its promise or if it's just carbonated disappointment. Expect honest reactions, laughs, and the kind of debate only a husband-and-wife podcast can deliver—because bubblegum soda is way more controversial than it sounds. DENSIFICATION AND THE CRUSHED SODA CAN Colleague Eric Berger. Berger explains the technical leaps required for the "Falcon 9 Full Thrust," specifically the use of densified propellants. By super-chilling liquid oxygen to nearly -300°F, SpaceX increased propellant density by 10-12%, drastically improving payload capacity. This innovation accompanied the challenge of landing boosters on ocean barges. Berger compares the fragility of an unpressurized rocket stage to a soda can, noting how easily they were crushed or exploded during early attempts to land on moving drone ships. These upgrades, including the "Octaweb" engine arrangement, were essential for creating a reusable fleet capable of frequent flight. In this episode, I break down the real differences between water kefir, milk kefir, and kefir soda, and explain why they're not all the same, even when they look similar. We'll talk about probiotics, yeasts, sugar, alcohol concerns, and why microbial diversity matters — especially if you're healing your gut or dealing with sensitivities like candida.
