His early career was mainly spent on the sidelines dealing with injuries, which he credits to helping him grow as a person. Spending his whole career at Melbourne Max has been through the ups and downs of professional sport. He addresses the drastic change in Melbourne's season last year. I was lucky enough to see first hand what a inspiring leader Max is. He is an approachable captain that encourages his players to be themselves, which he credits Jim Stynes for in his early years at the demons. The overarching theme from Max is how incredibly important it is for people to be themselves. The pressure in society to fit in can often get in the way of accepting who you are.
