Just two mates drinking and talking sports.
The Rock introduces us to a manic 2nd half of the pod. We talked about Shane's 18 best players in the comp and Ash's multi (which is in late season form). We also talked about the Newcastle takeover, Ben Simmons' awkward return to the 76'ers and a whole lot more.
Broadcasting mere minutes after the conclusion of the AFL Trade Period for 2021, we roll through our best, worst and biggest floor/ceiling trades that happened in the past week. Lots of obligatory Hawks are falling apart talk and Bobby doesn't make it to Windy.
A smorgasboard of stuff conisdering there's not much in the way of AFL anymore. A quiz for Ash, Jamaal cries in Atlanta Falcons and some weird soccer stuff as per usual. And a surprising amount of vaccination talk.
A rare Monday recording, we're on the ground floor of day one of trade week, discussing pick swaps, Hewett to the Blues, Kelly to the Dons and potential trades for the week to come.
Big big big last half of the pod. Jamaal finishes the season reviews and then we jump into a bunch of trade talk and what it would take to get Ben King to the hangar. Ash's rant and the multi return and we finish it off with the Last Call, with Ben Simmons, Sheriff and some IPL chat.
A breakdown of the grand final in scintillating detail (not really). We talked the Demons monster last quarter in a half, Traac's dominance and where to next for the Doggies? We also did a bit of a season review for both teams.
Huge second half of the podcast, we did some more season reviews and went deep into the Bombers season. Ash talks big about Ben King to the Bombers which transitioned to some trade talk. Cerra, Dawson, Titch and Petrevski-Seaton all potentially on the move we talk destinations and price tags. Some multis and last call gear to round off a massive episode of the Last Call.

A banger of a second half of the podcast, we run through some more season reviews. We sit in a bit of Carlton misery because its fun. We then talked about the pre GF bye and other miscellaneous footy stuff. Then topped it off with European cricket, NFL and some soccer news which brings in some questionable activity.
Can you tell Jamaal edits the podcast? We talked about the pretty brutal week of football with a blowouts across the board. We talked Demon superiority, the Bulldogs enslaught and where to now for the Power and the Cats?
Lots of drunk ramblings but we talked about the finals this week and the potential matchups. We also got into the Cerra/Neale news and the business behind some recent soccer movements.
We did something as little different this week, we turned on the Line In The Sand match from '04 and reminisced on the good times. A whole lot of fun and a whole lot of 'WHO?'

We talked some Boomers, more footy and the struggles of Australia's mens cricket team against the Bangladeshi powerhouse.
An interesting episode we watched the Kookaburras choke gold but we talked some olympics and what our highlights were. We also eventually got onto some footy, Hawthorns shit show of a week and Essendon's rough run and other random stuff.
Back for Part 2 and unlike the last one, relatively organized and succinct. We talked football lookalikes, Ash trashes the Olympics and in a Simone Biles-esque flip gets excited for his Olympic themed multi. We have a random AFL quiz and then talk some cricket and NBA to cap it all off.
So soon after the last one! Ash managed to getaway from some work to talk about some footy. And boy theres a lot. The Hawks drew so naturally Jamaal celebrated like it was a win. Ash breaks down the Bombers performances in recent weeks and there's a fair bit of form talk.
We've got some guests! Old Grammarians Jude and Gell jump on to discuss everything under the sun. Sports, life, you name it, we discuss it. Enjoy this genuine mammoth podcast.
The rare back to front podcast as we have a huge, HUGE second pod with some guests. We talked the Euros, some cricket and the Hawks impending succession plan.
Another big one. We talked about the future of captains around the league as well as the torrid state of umpiring. It does lighten up a little bit as we talk a bit of Wimbeldon and Jamaal's brutal 2016. Also Oman is hosting the cricket world cup because why not.
A big big big big episode making up for our bye week. All the footy talk, the Last Call Derby, we talked about the Brownlow race and Essendon rising young guns. A whole lot of other stuff in a mammoth episode of the Last Call Podcast!
An absolute banger of an episode. We talked everything from forward line pairings to complaining about stuff (mainly the media). Big list about cult heroes, Ash goes in depth about his favorite sport...soccer. And we talk about the state of commentary and the media landscape as a whole.
The Hawks won! That's all. Okay thats not all. We're back to talk about the pretty mid round 13, St Kilda's fantastic collapse, the disasterclass in Blundstone and an end of era at Collingwood. We then look forward to Round 14 which features the Last Call Derby part 2.
We were on one today folks. We talked about the dystopian entertainment that was the Paul vs Mayweather fight. Some usual quizzes and multis as well as some Doug Nicholls chat, talking about our favourite Indigenous Australian players. We got strangely political talking about Osaka's exit from the French Open and Ollie Robinson's debut which was marred by old tweets. Enjoy this rollercoaster of a pod.
An absolute belter of an episode, we talked (somewhat surprisingly) in depth about Round 13. We got across the state of the game, woeful goalkicking and the ratings spectacular that was the Dreamtime at Optus Stadium. We also debunked the Shai Bolton hype (blame the media Shai sorry we do like you as a player). Also some other miscellaneous footy talk to finish it off. A big ep of the Last Call but its only getting started.
We talked a lot of nonsense here, we debated AFL players who are untouchable for their team as well as other footy tidbits. Ash's multi is a certainty as per usual and there's quizzes and random sports stuff to boot.
Footy footy footy. A brutal round of footy but we covered it nonetheless. Due to lockdown we actually got to watch it and it was rough. Bombers big win, blowouts, bad footy and the mid season draft lead off this weeks episode of the Last Call!
An absolute belter; we go through some one season wonders, get really annoyed at the MRO and the AFL media landscape in general and the usual fun quiz stuff as well! Enjoy!

A very undercooked and streamlined second half of the podcast, Ash did have to catch a bus home. We talk underrated rivalries, best and fairest winners and a smattering of sport all around the world. Also Cam Bancroft is back apparently.
Some highs, lots of lows, the Last Call is live from the living room! Ash chats about his experience at Marvel on Sunday, Jamaal is depressed and hates footy. We chat about all things round 9 including Melbourne's unbeaten run, Richmond and Port stumbling and much much more.

The European Super league is no more and we discuss the brief chaos that it caused around the world. All the usual fun segments, Jamaal comes through with some Frankenstein footballers and Ash gives his best and worst votes and absolutely flames Collingwood. You love to see it.
What a time to be alive. We reflect on round 6 in the AFL and how for the first (and potentially last time) both won in the same round. We get irrationally excited about the Bombers and Hawks pulling through with some big wins on ANZAC day, as well as looking at Melbourne and the Dogs who are trucking through the league at the moment. We then look toward round 7, could this be the round where the Dogs slip up, will there be any good games on Saturday afternnon? Join us to find out!
So full disclosure listener, we did record this Tuesday night, literally about 5 hours before they announced that the ESL decided to fold. But with that being said, the second half of the pod is a big one! We talk about brutal percentages, reserved seating and the multi is back! Enjoy!
Back to our, regularly scheduled programming (IYKYK). We're back on the bullshit, talking the round that just went with phonegate, the swimming pool up in Brisbane and the Hawthorn Ha (get it because it's only 3 quarters...). We also looked forward to the next round, who's going to stay undefeated and is there any hope for North?
Back from a hiatus and the schedule is still a bit whack but we decided to smash out an abridged version of the Last Call! We just chat footy for a while, covering the last two rounds and we recount our experience at the Easter Monday game.
Big 2nd half of the podcast, the boys run through some trivia, how the concussion sub effects the game and the viability of an NBA-style trade season for the AFL. Multi and the list make their weekly appearance in a huge second half of the Last Call!
A full round of AFL and a lot of chaos ensued. The boys recap a big round of footy, introducing a new bias segment, lots of umpire talk and our overreactions after 2 weeks of action.
