The Interview Team of Radio International had the pleasure to conduct interviews with all the artists which you will hear on the shows throughout the summer of 2025. This week we start broadcasting the interview with Gunvor who in 1998 represented Switzerland with the song "Lass ihn" which ranked 25th at the end of the Voting Sequence in the Final. Destiny (Malta 2021 and Junior ESC Winner 2015, Malta) Interview with Destiny (Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025): During the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 earlier on in February 2025 JP bumped into Destiny who represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands with the song "Je me casse" which came 7th in the Grand Final. In 2020, Destiny was selected by X-Factor Malta to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "All of My Love". The Eurovision Song Contest 2020 was cancelled due to the Corona Pandemic and Destiny got the chance to represent Malta at Eurovision 2021. Already previously she won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "No, not my Soul". Matthew Cilia (Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025) Interview with Matthew Cilia: On Sat. 08 Feb 2025 Miriana Conte and her song "Kant" (now "Serving") was selected by the jury and Maltese public to represent Malta at the Eurovision Song Contetest 2025 in Basel in May. Miriana successfully placed Malta in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest ranking 17th at the end of the voting sequence. Earlier on in February 2025, Radio International conducted interviews with all the contestants at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 and more. This week, Radio International will broadcast an interview with Matthew Cilia who participated in Semi Final 1 of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 but unfortunately did not qualify for the Grand Final. His song in the competition is called "Control". The Radio International Interview Team interviewed Matthew during the rehearsals which you can hear on the show this week. The Busker (Malta 2023) at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025 as composers Interview with The Busker (Malta 2023) at Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025: Radio International met two of the three members of the Maltese Group the Busker who represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool with the song "Dance our own party". Both members of the group wrote two competing songs for other Maltese artists that took part at the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025. JP caught up with the Busker just after the Semi Final in front of the stage. Enjoy this interview on the show this week. Sami Grand Prix 2025: The Sámi Grand Prix is a Sámi yoik and song competition organized annually by the Sámi Music Festival organization featuring participants from all corners of the Sami Land. While the majority of its participants have been from the Norwegian side of Sápmi, Sámi from the Swedish, Finnish, and Russian sides have been increasingly participating in recent years too. Each participant submits an original piece to be performed live in an auditorium in Kautokeino during the Sámi Easter Festival. Originally broadcast on the radio in a limited area, they have started to be shown on TV and livestreamed as well and can be watched from anywhere in the world. Listeners and viewers can cast their vote for their favorites in two categories. A combined televoting and jury result is calculated for each participant. The televotes and the jury votes each currently count for 50% of the participant's scores. The participants who receive the most votes in the song category and in the yoik category are declared the winners of these respective categories. On the guest lists among other were also Sissal who will represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with the song "Hallucination". As well attending the MelFstWknD 2025 Media Meeting was Kyle Alessandro who represents Norway with the song "Lighter". He brought with him the songwriter of the song Adam Woods who himself competed in Melodifestivalen previously.
