Making money is one thing, but how do you actually take care of it, so you can manifest more? I've seen a ton of women over the last year really sabotage themselves, fall into really unhealthy habits, and have to quit their businesses altogether, which is tragic. But that doesn't have to be you. It really can be simple to become a better steward of your money, so the universe can send you more. So let's get into it.

Today I'm talking about the dirty secret of passive income. Now, this might be a little bit disappointing to hear, because if you've been involved in the personal development industry or the entrepreneurial industry, passive income is like this holy grail that everybody wants. And I don't blame you, it's pretty awesome. But I wanted to have some Denise real talk with you…

Years and years ago when I was working a job that I hated and I desperately wanted to ax myself, I was always searching around for how to make money online. To be honest, I kind of did some weird things like that internet dating ebook that I created many years ago. I found a lot of things that didn't really work for me. In fact, I made almost zero money out of that. Now, the problem with that kind of thinking, that desperation feeling of like, "Oh, I gotta make money online" it actually really makes you bypass many of the things that actually make people successful in the first place. I want to share with you three things that have really made a difference in my business, especially compared to when I was first starting to find those entrepreneurial things like literally way back in the early two thousands, compared to where I am now where I actually make money doing things that I love. Hey, gorgeous lucky bee. Let's talk about money blocks, but specifically how money blocks might be killing your business right now. I know that sounds super serious and dramatic. But don't worry. I've got lots of solutions for you so you can get back on the money manifesting train. So money blocker number one. Burnout and overwhelm. Now the first way that money blocks might be showing up for you and killing your business right now is really where you're freaking tired and overwhelmed, and you're burned out. It's really sad when women contact me and they're ready to chuck in their business because they're working so hard, they're trying to help people, but they just can't afford to keep it going. I know what that feels like. It makes you stressed out, resentful, and also completely burned out. Now when you deal with your money blocks and actually allow yourself to charge beautifully for what you do, it's going to give you that emotional and physical bandwidth to create a whole bunch more stuff that can help a lot more people. But when you're burning yourself out, you have nothing extra to give. So let me give you an example.

Today I want to share with you one of the biggest lessons that I have learned in my business in the last year or so, and one that has really helped me tame my mindset about the role I can play in the world, and how we can all best show up for our communities. So the year that I turned 37, I did a post about 37 lessons I learned from becoming a self-made millionaire. Number 35 blew peoples' minds. I said, "You don't have to be a guru, you can be a contributor. If you really care about a topic, be a contributor. You don't have to know everything." It was just a little throw away comment, but the response was really unexpected. I had people screen shooting that section, posting it everywhere, and saying what a relief it was to hear that they did not need to be a guru. Today I want to expand on that because when you really get this, everything in your business can change.

It's not news that kids learn about the world from their parents. And sometimes, what they learn can create major money blocks when they grow up. It actually doesn't matter whether you grow up rich or poor, because money blocks come from self-limiting beliefs that are rarely true. So in this post, I'm looking at five of the most common (and most damaging) money messages that kids pick up – and how to shift them.

I'm going to be a bit blunt here (fun fact - sometimes kids at school would call me Dr Phil because I'd often “tell it like it is”). Not everyone is going to make it. In business I mean. Just because you want it, doesn't automatically make it yours. I really wanted that beach house, but it took 6 years of working, releasing and personal discoveries for me to make the money for it. Tons of inner work. I know you're scared. Everyone is. That's not a good enough excuse. It's really not. Fear itself means shit. Yes, it's scary to push through resistance. Yes, it sucks to get “hater mail” or to hear no all the time. It sucks to put your heart and soul into something and then get nothing back in return. You know what motivates me sometimes? Reading obituaries. Or thinking about those actuarial tables where it shows you statistically how most people will die and when. It seriously fires me up. Because not everyone gets to live their dreams. Some of us will die early. Some of us will live for a long time. But how do we know which is which?
