In today's episode, I'll be revealing the lessons I learnt whilst hanging out with Sir Richard Branson on the notorious Necker Island… As part of The Collective, a mastermind group of women leaders and entrepreneurs led by Natalie MacNeil which is an official partner of Sir Richard Branson's not-for-profit Virgin Unite, I was lucky enough to be invited to Necker Island with Sir Richard Branson earlier this month. I was invited alongside 40 or so other female entrepreneurs who truly wanted the best for each other, and this love-based community really warmed my heart. In this podcast, I'll be sharing: - How I was lucky enough to get invited to Necker Island - Our journey on a VIP speedboat to Necker Island (which may or may not have seen me throw champagne all over myself!) - What the notorious Necker Island is really like - What Sir Richard Branson likes to do during his spare time - My favourite things that Sir Richard Branson said during the trip - The drink that Sir Richard Branson orders (spoiler alert: it's NOT Scotch!) - Lessons I learnt along the way, including the 4 “circles of support” - My personal highlights of the trip and why it was so special to me I walked away from this trip truly feeling that anything is possible and that “I can do anything”. We are living in a really abundant world, and you can feel abundant right now if you allow yourself to – you don't have to hang out with Sir Richard Branson on Necker Island! I'd love to share this feeling with all my listeners today; you CAN do anything and there is infinitely enough in this world for you! Have you ever become so focused on chasing purpose and making things happen, you don’t allow things to flow naturally? When it comes to redefining wealth, our lives typically tell our story without us having to say a word. Our actions reveal our greatest strengths and weaknesses, and our rituals and daily practices reflect what we hope to attract in life. Believe it or not, our lives have a way of speaking for themselves. However, I also believe that life also has a way of speaking to us. One of the things that hold us back is the lack of trust we have in listening to our gut, or believing our intuition, our desires or our dreams. Today’s guest is here to help us tap into divine alignment and open our ears to what life is trying to teach us. Natalie MacNeil is an Emmy Award-winning media entrepreneur, founder of the Embodiment Coaching Institute, and bestselling author of five books, including her latest book: The Rituals: Simple Practices to Cultivate Well-Being, Deepen Relationships, and Discover Your True Purpose. “It's never about the money, it's about the feeling you believe the money is going to bring you.” - Natalie MacNeil In this episode of the Simply Smart Business Show, Gemma is joined by Natalie MacNeil to talk about the importance of mindset, inner work and embodying the 7-figure leader you want to be way before you actually get there. 7-Figure Females is a mini-series on The Simply Smart Business Show where I set out to bust some myths around creating a 7-figure business as a female business owner, understand what it truly takes to get there, and inspire you to aim high. Natalie MacNeil is an Emmy award-winning media entrepreneur. She is listed on Leader 100 as a transformer of our generation. Natalie has been featured in one of the 27 women changing the world, Elle, Glamour, People of Time, and Forbes Entrepreneurs. She is extremely devoted to expanding human potential and has served over a million people. Her business, She Takes on the World has the same title as her book. Natalie was that kid who had a lemon stand and a customized stationeries business during her teens - which she considers the foundation for her entrepreneurial spirit. She was taught to play with business during her college days and she focused on media and virtual reality. A decade ago, in Virtual Reality, she and her business partner worked on one of the first 360-degree interactive media projects that were being developed in the world which earned her recognition for the Emmy award. Natalie discusses: 2 principles: 1) Those who know the outcome can afford to wait without anxiety and 2) Hold the vision and let go of the attachment. On being an entrepreneur: Others just have it in them but there are others who didn't feel it as a child but had a drive and a vision. Why you should shift away from the numbers and just make things realigned. “Live as if everything is rigged in your favor.” The shift from 6 to 7-figure: Transformational Embodiment. Embody it NOW. Hire for what the company will be not for what it was. Methodology to reach a lot of people: personal connection → aligned community. The importance of making people feel that they are valued and seen. To build a sustainable 7-figure business - investment and give time in developing people. Do: Choose the people you surround yourself with. Don'ts: Burn yourself out. Grow in a way that feels good for you. Action, not activity. Don't do it all on your own. Contemplate on this: What will a 7 figure business make you feel? Who will it allow you to be? How can you embody the essence of that now? Today’s episode is different than any other episode we’ve ever had. How many of us have read books or resources on the habits of successful people thinking that if we followed their steps, we would get the same results? We take on the habits of other people because we want to emulate their success, instead of carving our own path. In reality, many of our habits are no longer serving us and are keeping us on auto-pilot. Today's guest is Natalie Macneil. Natalie is an Emmy award winning entrepreneur, best selling author, and creator of “She Takes on the World”, one of the top sites for female entrepreneurs. She’s also an expert on meditation, hypnosis, and has coached thousands of people. She’s a leader for moving into the new paradigm and new way of being. Today we discuss Natalie’s new book, The Rituals, and cover rituals vs. habits, embodiment over mindset, and aliveness over automation, importance of breathwork, and how to create our own rituals alone and in a community. Building a million dollar business is a huge accomplishment for Natalie MacNeil, but it doesn't even come close to stopping there for this Emmy Award Winning media entrepreneur. Natalie is devoted to expanding human potential for herself and others, and dedicated to living a deeply meaningful life. She joins The Inner Circle to talk with Carrie about her powerful N.E.T. technique and why you will want to start using it immediately in everyday life. Natalie also talks about her film projects, the inspiration behind her new book The Rituals, and what's next for her as she transitions from the She Takes on the World blog to a new updated version of herself and her brand. What You'll Hear In This Episode: Natalie spent so much time feeling like she had to be someone in order to succeed, and she is at a point where she wants to live and embrace all her dimensions. There will never be a better lesson about business than jumping in and learning for yourself. While Natalie studied business in University, she got a firsthand education by being an entrepreneur. Natalie shows us that we shouldn't be afraid to dive in and embrace new parts of our identity, and maybe let go of those that no longer serve us. She is taking the big leap of rebranding her blog, She Takes on the World, to level up to meet the current version of herself. Natalie co-produced the interactive film experience, Out My Window, and it was the world's first 360 interactive documentary. The film won an Emmy, and viewers got an inside look at someone's life in an initiative and immersive way. Natalie knows that her capacity to succeed in the external world is directly related to her inner experience. The N.E.T. (No Extra Time) principle calls for utilizing our time in a way that best serves us. While we have things we all do in a day, you can make that part of your mindfulness practice. Examples would include a grounding exercise in the shower, taking a few calming deep breaths and at red lights, and using the little spaces of silence throughout the day to practice gratitude. She Takes on the World has had 1,000,000 + entrepreneurs from almost every country come to the site for inspiration, action steps, and support. Natalie discusses accomplishing our goals one at a time as a 3-4 month focus, rather than trying to do everything at once. When we choose to hear the stories of others, we get a huge part of what is available to us in the human experience. Natalie's new book, The Rituals, includes many beautiful practices that make huge differences. Quotes: “When a creative wave comes, you have to ride it until the bitter end.” “The human experience is messy, beautiful, and wild and painful. We can hold all of those truths.” “I need to feel deeply held and grounded in order to show up the way I show up.” “You are enough and more, and worthy of your dreams.” “Inspiration without taking action serves a purpose, but it's not as powerful.” Mentioned: @nataliemacneil She Takes on the World Out My Window Burning Man The Rituals Journey Into the Inner Circle: Carrie Doll @CarrieADoll – Twitter @carriedollconsulting – Instagram Carrie Doll – Facebook Please rate, review and follow the podcast! On the day I recorded this episode, I had my first panic attack in years. At Starbucks. In front of a ton of people. I realized the way I handled this panic attack was way different than I might have in the past. In the moment, I knew exactly what I needed, and I went for it. Unfortunately, there's still a bad stigma in our society around mental health, especially when it comes to asking for help. I bring up this conversation in hopes that you can learn some tools to help yourself through anxiety, depression, or any other mental illness you may be experiencing. Or you'll know how to help a friend or a loved one going through something similar. Take a listen, and let me know your thoughts! How do you deal with moments like the one I had at Starbucks? How do you help friends or yourself through? If any of this resonates with you, then I invite you to dive right into this episode!
