The World of Eora is a news and lore podcast about the Pillars of Eternity games and Obsidian Entertainment's upcoming release, Avowed.
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their action RPG: Avowed. This episode ORIGINALLY started off as a "various unique items" lore episode, but it kind of turned into an episode all about Necropants, a much-beloved piece of "armor" you can acquire in Avowed. There's plenty of tangents I go on, and the lore is all over the place, but it's a fun episode. You'll wanna check this one out.worldofeora@gmail.com@worldofeorako-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode dives back into some foundational PILLARS OF ETERNITY lore, but still includes Avowed stuff as well (they're all in the same world, after all). Focusing on Wizards today. Mostly we discuss how it is that wizards cast spells, but we also discuss a famous magic academy: Bragganhyl Academy, which has multiple mentions in Avowed item descriptions. Did the developers have Bragganhyl on their minds for DLC and that's why it's so prevalent? I, for one, hope so!worldofeora@gmail.com@worldofeorako-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode looks at a six-part set of in-game tomes aptly titled "Maxims of the Pargrunen". In there we see a direct change of Pargrunen-ness that the dwarves in Avowed have compared to their brethren elsewhere in the world. worldofeora@gmail.com@worldofeorako-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their action RPG: Avowed.Spoilers for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire in this week's episode. Nothing critical path spoiler, but some interesting lore you find in other questing. This week's episode we dive into the lore found in five books, as found in the "Dawntreader" sidequest. These are the "History of the Living Lands" books you may have found. Don't know if you have them? Well, if you have the *Historian* achievement, then you do. These five tomes explore the origins of the Living Lands and its ancient, now lost people: the Godless.worldofeora@gmail.com@worldofeorako-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their action RPG: Avowed.Tangential spoilers for the ending segments of the game. KIND OF directly related to the mainline narrative, but technically something you could miss in detail. I leave it to you to decide. This week's episode focuses on a series of documents you can find, called "Orisons" later in the game, which allude to the history of the Living Lands, and what happened to the Ekida (or, "the Godless"), in particular.worldofeora@gmail.com@worldofeorako-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their action RPG: Avowed.Sorry for the delay in episodes, I've had some life changes lately that I'm still adjusting to. This week's episode, now that it's out, features a talk regarding the origins of "Fior mes Iverno", the main settlement in the second zone of Avowed (Emerald Stair) and its surprising connection to ... Skaenism? Is that the word? Idk, either way, I found it interesting, and I hope you will too.worldofeora@gmail.com@worldofeorako-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their action RPG: Avowed.Sorry for no episode last week, I've started a new job and also had a mental health "crisis" (it wasn't really one, but felt like it at the time). This week I briefly cover the topic of "Soul Twins", and also "soul maladies" at large. I was inspired by a specific quest in early Avowed (though I don't specify the quest, just to keep its twist a surprise for those who might not have found it) to discuss Soul Twins. Which are, as they sound, when two people share two halves of the same soul. Using this I also springboard into other soul maladies, such as "hollowborn" (being born without a soul), or having a "weak soul" (which is essentially a soul that has lost some of its "matter"). Hope you enjoy!worldofeora@gmail.com@worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode focuses on some of the lore we see in Dawnshore's "pick-up-able" quests. For context, in each of Avowed's mapped regions you have several repeating "pick up" quests/activities (no, not fetch quests, more like encounters). Such as: ancient memory fragments, god totem pieces, pargrunen cache locations, and unique item treasure maps. Each of these offer a little bit more about the world to talk about...so, I uh...I do that. :)worldofoeora@gmail.com@worldofeorako-fi.com/worldofeora
[WARNING]: Spoilers for the side quest "Dawntreader" found in this episode. This is a side quest found in the first zone (Dawnshore) of the game Avowed, and can be accessed fairly early, or several level-ups into the game. The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode features looking at the 'Dawntreader' side quest for all the lore we get in pursuit of that activity. Primarily the focus is on topics like the god Eothas, the NPC called Sargamis, the location the Temple of Eothas, and associative lore from that. As well, there is a divergence to discuss Karlodh and the Harbingers from the Deadfire game (PoE2), and a smattering of other interesting finds throughout the quests progression.worldofeora@gmail.com@worldofeorako-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode features an overview of the major factions/themes/lore as seen in Avowed. Largely it centres around your character, the Godlike Envoy of Aedyr and the major factions seen in Avowed: The Aedyran Empire, the Steel Garrote paladin order, and the Living Lands itself. There's also a bit of talk about souls, reincarnation, gods, the Pargrunen dwarves, and the enigmatic ancient civilization of The Godless.worldofeora@gmail.com@worldofeorako-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode focuses on (1) my first impressions on Avowed and how the playthrough is going; and (2) the most important lore touchstones (and other episodes to check out) that I've seen so far. It's a very good episode to start out on for new listeners and old listeners alike.I top of the episode with a reading of a unique item's description, and give the lore we have from that item, as a way to introduce new listeners to my approach to this show.I can't believe the game is out, this is very exciting.worldofeora@gmail.com@worldofeora(support the show) ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode marks a very special moment for us here, because (1) well, the game is OUT, baby! and (2) I got to sit down with Cameron (aka: Venus Theory) to discuss the Score for Avowed, which was really great because he also composed said score. We discuss a lot of stuff, not just Avowed. We talk about YouTube, content creation, creating Video Game soundtracks in particular, other composer's influences, Cameron's writing/composing process, specific Avowed soundtrack pieces, working with Obsidian, and video games in general. It was a really great conversation, and I hope y'all enjoy listening to it as we did recording it.Happy Avowed day!worldofeora@gmail.com@worldofeoraKo-Fi (support)
This is a unique/special episode of the podcast, that I don't think would fit in at any other point in time. In this week's episode, I just decided to give you the full story of this podcast's inception, creation, and journey of where we are today.I end of the latter half of the episode with some thank you's to people who have helped keep this show going. Whether it's friends/family or individuals who emailed me or just the people on reddit (especially in the early days), you've had a positive impact on the show.As well, keep an eye out NEXT WEEK for a special podcast episode (not just because Avowed is out on Early Access but because... well, you'll see, you'll see (fingers cross)).

The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode marks my return behind the microphone, and it's great to be back. This time we are FINISHING the "History of Eora" series with (what I'm calling) the Apocalypse Books, the final four volumes in this anthology of in-game books. In there we discuss world-ending ice ages; cataclysmic god battles, a vengeful god-queen, and nothing (or is it... "N"othing!?!). worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This episode is a smattering of recordings from a year or so ago that I did about some more of the off-screen Stronghold Adventures from the first Pillars game. I'm still in the middle of a very busy Christmas season delivering with UPS, so I haven't had time to record a decent episode (but don't worry, I haven't abandoned you all). So I quickly edited these recordings to at least give you SOMETHING. Happy holidays everyone, thank you for your patience! worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode will focus on several theories that both myself and contributors on Reddit have come up with regarding "The Voice" in Avowed, as well as our Godlike nature. This episode is entirely speculative, but it draws on a substantial amount of lore from the previous Pillars games. Interestingly, though, there are NO SPOILERS in today's episode if you want to listen in, but at the same time, this will definitely be an episode where Eora veterans will be able to keep up easier than those new to the world. Not saying you shouldn't listen if you're new, just more of an interesting observation. Speculation is always fun, imo :) Topics discussed: Rymrgand, the Glamfellen, Pale Elf Migration, Godless faction, Wael, Dreamscourge, Living Lands, Old Gods, Regular Gods, Animism, and Godlike. worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
I touch on Spoilers for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire around the 30min mark. Once you hear the jazz music interlude if you don't want to risk it feel free to jump off, but I try not to say anything spoilery outright, I just skirt around it as best as I can. Nextly, apologies for this episode being a week late. I've made the episode a bit longer than usual to make up for that. The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode goes over a bunch of the gameplay footage we saw about Avowed in recent weeks. I go over a lot of what it is we saw, touch on the story and characters. Read some lore directly from pieces of gear or books. I also do a speculation section at the end of the episode about why we are a Godlike, and of whom; what "The Voice" might be and how the Godless faction might have ties to an ancient civilization known, in modern times, as "Yezuha" worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
Spoilers for Aloth's companion quests in both Pillars games, but NO major narrative spoilers for the crit path of either games. The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week we look at Aloth, a companion from both Pillars of Eternity games, and fan-favourite within the series. Our resident Wizard from the Aedyr empire, this episode talks about his background and what paths he can takes throughout the story of the Pillars games. Will Aloth make an appearance in Avowed? He's definitely a strong candidate given his ties to a certain secretive faction, and Aedyran nationality. But I suppose only time will tell. worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora consider leaving a rating/review/comment

This week's episode discusses the lost city of Ukaizo, which is an ancient city of mythology and legend in the Huana culture (the tribes that live in the Deadfire Archipelago, the setting for the second Pillars game). What Ukaizo represents to Huana (but also the other factions in play during Deadfire) is more than just a city with gold. worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week we return to the ever-loved off-screen Companion adventures from the first Pillars game. These companion-only adventures tell stories throughout the world of Eora, and offer interesting insights into the lore, as well as offer good inspiration for Adventures in your own table-top RPGs. Topics on this episode feature devices that can perfectly duplicate other items; as well as trying to locate hidden and advanced astronomical research data about Eora's two moons. worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora

As well, we contrast the minor diferences seen between those two series. worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode focuses on two (of the four) companions our Avowed player character ("The Envoy") will be able to travel with: MARIUS and YATZLI. Both of these characters have their own ancestry and background, some of which we can tie to lore from the Pillars of Eternity games. As well, I dive back into Grounded (for those that care). worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode caps off the lore from last week (St. Waidwen & Saint's War) by talking about the Godhammer Bomb (the thing that ended the Saint's War...and St. Waidwen, I suppose), the Dozens (a faction which arose from a dozen self-sacrificing soldiers), and what REALLY happened at Evon Dewr bridge (where the bomb was detonated). worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode is all about the Saint's War (a monumental and paradigm changing moment within the history of Eora) and the key figure in that war: St. Waidwen (who was apparently inhabited by one of the gods of this world: Eothas). worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode is about the beloved companion from both Pillars of Eternity games: "Edér Teylecg". We discuss his story from before we meet him in Pillars 1, and follow his narrative right up until the end of Deadfire. Spoilers pertaining to his side quests are in this episode, however they are well telegraphed if you want to listen to some of the episode spoiler-free. worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
Boy howdy is this episode a long one. But hey, there was ALOT to go over. If you're new this show, World of Eora, is about Pillars of Eternity & Avowed (since they both share the same fantasy world). Mostly I focus on lore, today I'm putting a balanced focus on news and lore. Now, here's the thing (and I say this at the start of the episode) - because this episode is uncharacteristically long, I'm not going to have another episode up next week. Simply so that those of you who budget their podcast time can catch up. As well, though, it's a good time for me to take a week of with my family. I've been considering taking the week of a stat holiday off of recording anyways, so this is a good chance to try that. Anyways, so, listen to this as fast or as slow as you want, there isn't an episode next week. Hope y'all enjoy! worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
Hi Everyone, With a personally busy week and weekend combined with the MASSIVE amount of stuff we saw for Avowed this week, I simply cannot keep up with all of it (I haven't even seen all the videos all the way through or read/skimmed all the articles yet). So, I'm making the decision to post-pone a full episode until next week to do an overview of it all. That said, I caught ONE thing amongst all the news that caught my attention. A weapon in Avowed called "Drawn in Winter" shares a similar naming scheme to a Pillars of Eternity dagger called "Drawn In Spring"; the funny thing is... the lore written in Drawn in Spring's item description has something to do with the Living Lands... mayhaps it describes something we could find in Avowed?
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode is about a rather important nation in the "new world", called READCERAS. Originally the colony of Aedyr, and then the Divine Kingdom of Readceras, this nation has it's own interesting origins/history that leads to one of the most important events in recent history (in relation to Pillars 1): The Saint's War. worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode is a continuation of the "History of Eora" series I am plinking away at, where we look at the esoteric in-game "History of Eora" lore-books from the Forgotten Sanctum DLC in the second Pillars games. This week, I focus on Dyrwood related tomes (Dyrwood being the setting for Pillars 1), which results in a shorter episode (which I do on purpose, just getting back into the swing of things post-vacation). We learn about the very first Hollowborn (and what it is) as well as the inciting events that founded the nation of Readceras. worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
Hey, I'm on vacation this week, so no new full episode...BUT I didn't wanna leave y'all hanging so here's a quick little episode about one giant piece of news, followed by two minutes of me making mistakes in a few podcast episodes over the many months of this show's existence. I hope (some of) you will enjoy it.
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode is regarding a Wael-affiliated faction (Wael being the god of dreams/mysteries/secrets/revelations) "The Hand Occult", whose primary focus is the control of flow of esoteric knowledge. worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode I dive into the in-game "History of Eora" anthology, which as been requested for quite a while. I don't do all 16 entries of these books in this episode, I just pick the ones I think could be related to Avowed / Living Lands in some way. It gets pretty interesting, and we draw some connections which might be seen in the game of Avowed. I *will* be doing future episodes on the other 12, but likely in just 4-book segments, done topically. worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. In this week's episode I revisit the lore of the Aedyr Empire, its people, its history, and their language. This is largely a summation of lore that I did a few years ago (check out Ep. 4-6, and some afterwarsd) about this. However, with the involvement of Aedyr mentioned in the Avowed trailers of recent I decided it was time to give a decent overview in an updated way. So, here's to the Aedyr Empire! Happy Feast of Feasts! worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode focuses on Inquisitor Lödwyn, and the paladin order she helps lead, the Steel Garotte. Most of the lore will be about the Paladin order, but we tie it back to the Inquisitor. This lore is also associated to the goddess of Law, Woedica; and the empire of Aedyr. All of which is discussed (a bit) and speculated upon for Avowed. For instance...why did Obsidian choose The Steel Garrote over all the other potential factions? Did they need a Woedican faction? And Aedyran-origin faction? Who knows... worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora

The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's ONE HUNDREDTH episode features a decently in-depth overview of the Avowed Deep Dive, as seen on Xbox's Official Youtube Channel. There's *a lot* to cover here, so I won't even list it all. Suffice it to say, it's all very interesting. There's a good mix of lore and gameplay related discussion today :) As well, just a BIG thank you to all who've been on this journey with me with this podcast (whether you've been here since the beginning, or you jumped on recently). It's been a wonderful 100 episodes, and I can't wait to aim for 100 more (we will see how much lore we can parse from Avowed, I suppose). So thanks to you, the listeners; and thanks to Obsidian for their support and just creating an awesome world for us to camp in each week :) worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode we cover A LOT! (1) an overview of the all the news related to Avowed (up to the point of recording, that is); and (2) we dive into the Story Trailer for Avowed to discuss all the topics of LORE we see within. If you're at all interested in the world Avowed takes place in, this episode is a nice one to start in on. We discuss the empire your player character comes from, who the lady with fire-eyes is, and a bit about what might have gone on in the Living Lands (Avowed's setting) a long time ago. worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
First off: if you have any thoughts/theories on Avowed-related stuff after the Story Trailer dropped on Xbox's 2024 Showcase on June 9, send them my way, I'll happily put them on the show (send via email, either written or recorded). The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode is just a short set of insights and thoughts after watching the trailer. I haven't dove into it fully or dissected anything. It's just "initial thoughts". But, I think there's some interesting observations I've noted which some of you might find intriguing, and get the ole tinfoil hats out, as well. worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
DISCLAIMER: I am a bit sick during the time of this recording, so I apologize if my voice sounds off. The crackling you hear is not my mic, it's my voice haha. The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode follows the last leg of famed Vailian explorer, Fulvano, in the first Pillars of Eternity game. Will we see Fulvano in Avowed? Almost assuredly not. However, might Fulvano have already visited the Living Lands and left stuff for us to find? Almost assuredly maybe.
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode looks at a few off-screen adventures you send player companions on as part of your title of "Watcher of Caed Nua". In these adventures we see references to lore/stories otherwise not mentioned elsewhere in the game(s). Using these context clues and other pieces of lore, we examine what's going on and what it could mean for other narratives in Eora. worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode focuses on the story of several NPCs in the first Pillars of Eternity game, and narrows in on the connective tissue between their stories, backstories, relationships and side quests. Random side note, I had recorded some thoughts on the Tango & Arkane closures but removed them just because I don't think it was necessary for me to do so. But I do think it's sad, and wonder what it means for the industry. If you'd like to strike up a conversation send me an email. Also, I'm sure we will talk about it on Avowedcast; perhaps I'll say something next week after thinking. Anyways, that was nothing that needed to be said, but there it is... worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora

The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. The first portion of today's episode are spoiler-free, but be warned the second portion contain MAJOR SPOILERS for the DLC of this game, so keep that in mind moving forward. worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora

In this week's episode I focus on one of the nations within the world of Eora setting. It's one we hear about a lot, but don't actually have a single substantial source of lore for. There's a lot to be said, however, when you add it all up. After discussing Naasitaq and its culture, I redirect attention to a Pillars of Eternity (1) companion character, Sagani, and discuss her particular story. worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode is about "the Great Reef", a naturally occurring structure of the Deadfire Archipelago which may hold deeper secrets than we know. This lore, as far as I can tell, is only found in the Guidebook for Pillars, and not the game itself. So, this may be new info for a lot of us! worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. This week's episode we pit several religious figures from the world of Eora's histories against each other to ask "who would win a fight"... Maybe not a 'fight' as in 'fisticuffs', but in terms of subduing one another. We have five interesting characters throughout Eora's history, each with their own unique abilities that they can bring. Aside from that, the lore behind each character is also interesting for new and old players alike. Hope you enjoy today's episode! worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their upcoming action RPG: Avowed. NOTE: there's an important question near the end of the episode (in the 44min area) that I'd like some feedback on. This week's episode was very randomly decided upon, but the bottom line is: in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire there are some sea shanties you hear sung when sailing throughout the Deadfire Archipelago (the setting for that game). While the lyrics to these songs aren't plumbing the depths of esoteric lore, they do allude to ideas and moments that occur within this fantasy world; and I think it's writing like that which really gives life to a fictional world. So, in honour of that, let's take a look at the lyrical content for the Sea Shanties from the second Pillars of Eternity game... worldofeora@gmail.com @worldofeora ko-fi.com/worldofeora
