Get THE Leftover Pieces APP & don't miss anything! CLICK HERE TODAY -- Touchstones let love travel with you without making every minute heavy.Journal prompt: “What I'm keeping from this month is…”Choose one flicker that feels like company: a phrase they loved, ten seconds of their song, a color that calls them to mind. Rebuild by placing a tiny touchstone where real life happens—light a candle at dinner, wear the bracelet, set a photo by the door, speak their name before you leave the house. Then step by anchoring it to a daily moment: “When I grab my keys, I touch the bracelet,” or “When the kettle clicks, I say their name.” Small, repeatable, merciful.Choose-your-energy menu:Hollow (low): Speak their name once and place a hand on your chest.Healing (medium): Put one touchstone where you'll naturally see/use it.Becoming (higher): Share your touchstone plan with a safe person and invite them to mirror it once this week.To end today:Legacy is not a museum; it's a living room. Touchstones let love move with you—into the kitchen, the car, the checkout line—without requiring a speech every time. After a suicide, memory can feel sharp or complicated; gentle, chosen rituals blunt the edge just enough to hold it. Speaking their name before you leave the house or hearing ten seconds of “their” song is not dwelling—it's belonging. You're showing your body that remembering is allowed and survivable. If a touchstone stings today, choose a lighter one; the goal isn't performance, it's companionship. Over time, these tiny ties stitch a steadier way to carry them forward without disappearing yourself. Exhale. Keep what serves you; leave the rest. I'll be here again tomorrow.
Welcome back, brave listeners, to another chilling chapter of the RPGBOT.Podcast. Tonight, we descend into the fog-choked alleys of Hunter: The Reckoning, where your best defense against the supernatural isn't garlic, holy water, or even a decent sushi roll—it's your character sheet. So sharpen your pencils, whisper your redemption arcs to the moon, and for the love of barbecue—don't botch that Willpower check, or you'll end up as brisket for the monsters lurking in the dark. Randall's Novella Malecon Before we roll dice and ruin lives—have you checked out Malecon, Randall's newest novella? It's a story steeped in atmosphere and strange corners of humanity, much like the touchstones and redemption arcs in roleplaying games we're exploring tonight. Unlike your Hunter characters, it doesn't need a Creed to keep it grounded. Available now on Amazon and as an audiobook narrated by Ash—because nothing says haunting like Ash whispering prose directly into your skull. Show Notes In this episode, the RPGBOT.Podcast crew dive fang-first into Hunter: The Reckoning RPG character creation. Tyler, Randall, and Ash guide you through building determined mortals and defining your drives, creeds, attributes, flaws, and skills. They explore the collaborative process of character creation in tabletop RPGs, showing how preparation can shape the narrative and survival of your characters. The conversation shifts between mechanics and storytelling, from equipment, health, and willpower management to the significance of touchstones that anchor humanity. Along the way, the team detours into sushi cravings, seafood adventures, and debates about American barbecue styles—because every tabletop gaming podcast needs flavor outside the dice. By the end, listeners will gain a complete understanding of how to create compelling Hunter: The Reckoning characters, balance narrative with mechanics, and prepare for a Spooktober season of survival horror at the table. Key Takeaways Preparation in RPG sessions leads to stronger characters and smoother gameplay. Collaborative character creation in tabletop games makes for deeper stories. Sushi, seafood, and American cuisine fuel as much table debate as dice rolls. Touchstones in Hunter: The Reckoning anchor humanity and provide character depth. Redemption arcs are essential for compelling roleplaying and character progression. Attributes, skills, edges, and flaws enhance both RPG mechanics and storytelling. Behind-the-scenes podcasting requires coordination, just like running a good RPG session. Dive into Hunter: The Reckoning Spooktober is here—and there's no better time to dive into Hunter: The Reckoning. Send us a textSt. Louis-based metalcore act dead7 is poised to break through in a major way with the release of their highly anticipated debut album, LOVE WHAT YOU CAN WHILE YOU GOT SOMETHING LEFT TO LOVE, arriving July 11, 2025 via SharpTone Records. Known for their emotionally charged blend of heavy grooves, ambient textures, and bold vulnerability, the five-piece continues to turn heads with a sound that fuses brutal honesty and melodic hooks in equal measure.Composed of Jason Kozik (vocals), Dexter Greer (guitar), Tim Quinn (guitar), Stephen Salyer (bass), and Zach Guinn (drums), dead7 crafts music that leans into both atmospheric metal and alternative rock, while unafraid to explore the depths of love, loss, and internal conflict. Their debut album captures that duality perfectly—one moment it's a crushing wall of sound, the next a moment of haunting introspection.“We keep people guessing,” frontman Jason Kozik shared. “The new material is heavy, but we emphasized the hooks. We tried to make sure our songs resonate. In terms of the content, we focused on love, relationships, and things that are often tough to say.”After gaining traction through powerful singles like “tape mouth” and “heaven only knows” (featuring Nathan Johnson of Fox Lake), dead7 began to find their footing on the live circuit, including festival slots at POINTFEST alongside acts like Bad Omens, The Pretty Reckless, and Coheed and Cambria. The momentum caught the attention of SharpTone Records, who signed the band in late 2024.Heading back into the studio with trusted collaborators Caleb Freihaut and Ben McGuiness, dead7 shaped a record that reflects not only their evolution as a band but their refusal to be boxed in. Touchstones like Loathe, Bring Me The Horizon, and Three Days Grace inspire the record's push-and-pull between chaotic energy and accessible melody.Tracks like “BLUR” showcase that duality immediately, with its vocoder-drenched verses giving way to explosive choruses. “It incorporates a lot of what dead7 is,” Kozik explained. “Lyrically, it's a view of trying to navigate life with everything going on... in our relationships, in our families, and in ourselves. It feels like a blur, and you're trying to survive.”Other album standouts include “HOLE,” a raw depiction of tension in a fractured relationship, and “PLEASE,” a cheeky-yet-intense track featuring Marcus Vik, where soaring melodies meet lusty lyricism and thunderous riffs. Kozik remarked, “We were making a joke about being kind of horny, and we tried to encapsulate it… It has www.BetterHelp.com/TheBarnhttp://www.betterhelp.com/TheBarn http://www.betterhelp.com/TheBarnThis episode is sponsored by www.betterhelp.com/TheBarn and brought to you as always by The Barn Media Group. During the era of Jim Crow laws and racial segregation, 87 locations in Minnesota were listed in the Green Book, a guidebook that helped Black travelers find lodgings, businesses and gas stations that would serve them. But less than a quarter of these sites in Minnesota remain standing today. Most of the state's Green Book sites were in the Twin Cities and many were demolished to make way for the construction of I35-W and I-94. Nieeta Presley is a native of the historic Rondo neighborhood, which was one of those demolished by highway construction. She published research on Rondo Green Book sites with the Ramsey County Historical Society and joins MPR News host Nina Moini to share what she found.

We look at how we can find or create areas within our home, and objects we can use on the go, that provide safety and connection, allowing us to feel grounded and manage overwhelming moments. We'll look at the emotional significance of objects, avoiding those that glower at us, and instead creating spaces filled with comfort and warmth. Thoughts on the episode? Let us know. What can we learn from indigenous knowledge systems about how to navigate and transform our world? My guest, Dr Richard Hodge, points out several aspects of Aboriginal culture that can help us act effectively and with heart and wisdom in a world full of problems. To guide us in a complex world, we need touchstones of value. For many indigenous peoples, that's the function of totems and totemic beings: kangaroo, echidna, wallaby, and so on.Counterintuitively, seeing the world through a totemic perspective offers greater clarity than how we often view it, through the lens of our limited egoic state, entangled with fight-or-flight fancies that superimpose themselves over reality. Our perception colors our interpretation of the world. The Western mindset sees the world as a number of separate objects, ourselves among them. Which means our prime directive is always control and domination of the "other" — whether it be nature, or the weather, or animals, or other people.Shifting to an indigenous way of seeing creates connection and opportunities for collaboration and synergies on a systems-level.And that's the level at which transformational change at scale becomes possible. With that foundation, Dr Hodge shares his Dragonfly Model of systemic, deep change. If you can, watch rather than just listen, because there are diagrams and models that can help you follow the concepts and the conversation.Enjoy our yarning, and please let us know what you think.LinksDrRichardHodge.comThomas Berry, "The Meadow Across the Creek"Stephanie Kelton, economistMariana Mazzucato, economistBertrand Russell, "In Praise of Idleness"Click to subscribe to the Mindset Mastery Memo.Support the Show.

He grew up in Barbados and moved to the United States of America as a young adult. Neville Goddard was perhaps the last century's most intellectually substantive and charismatic purveyor of the philosophy generally called New Thought. He wrote more than ten books under the solitary pen name Neville, and was a popular speaker on metaphysical themes from the late 1930s until his death in 1972.Possessed of a self-educated and uncommonly sharp intellect, Neville espoused a spiritual vision that was bold and total: Everything you see and experience, including other people, is the result of your own thoughts and emotional states. Each of us dreams into existence an infinitude of realities and outcomes. When you realize this, Neville taught, you will discover yourself to be a slumbering branch of the Creator clothed in human form, and at the helm of limitless possibilities.Neville's thought system influenced a wide range of spiritual thinkers and writers, from bestselling author Dr. Joseph Murphy to Rhonda Byrne and Wayne Dyer.He has inspired and continues to inspire millions of readers around the world.RESOURCES:• Learn more about Unlock God Mode »• The Infinite Spirit Guided Meditation » • Join the FREE Reality Creation Tribe » Follow NEVILLE for daily inspiration:• Neville Goddard Newsletter• Neville Goddard Telegram• Neville Goddard Instagram• Neville Goddard Threads• Neville Goddard Twitter• Neville Goddard YouTube• Neville Goddard Course• Neville Goddard Meditation• Neville Goddard CoachingNEVILLE's BOOKS (Free):• Feeling is the Secret by Neville Goddard• Out of this World by Neville Goddard• Freedom for All by Neville Goddard• Fundamentals by Neville GoddardNEVILLE's LECTURES (Free):• Fundamentals• Live the Answer Now• The Pruning Shears of Revision• An Inner Conviction• The First Principle• Brazen Impudence• Believe It InLINKS• Join my bestselling course, Unlock God Mode• Download the FREE manifestation PDF guide• Download the Florence Scovel Shinn meditation• Book a free 1:1 call with me5 Tools to Navigate the Video Game of Life – The 5 Touchstones to Keep You in Daily Balance * * *Neville Goddard was a mystic and writer who explored the power of the mind and whose books left an indelible mark on the world. In Neville's own words:"You cannot serve two masters. Welcome back to another episode of the Money Lighthouse Podcast for Spiritual Entrepreneurs! Recently, a friend shared a delightful story about receiving an unexpected windfall in her business without any marketing or launch efforts. This kind of effortless abundance is always so inspiring to hear about. It's a beautiful reminder of how naturally and easily we can attract what we desire without the constant hustle and grind. In this episode, I want to remind us of three foundational practices for manifesting our desires. These practices are simple yet essential, and in our busy lives, it's easy to forget them. First, it's about relaxing into the process of welcoming more money into your life. Like my friend, who simply indulged in the joy of her experiences without thinking about sales or deadlines, we too can focus on our joy, rest, peace, and satisfaction without expecting anything in return. Second, we need to reconnect with our intentions. Knowing our 'why' gives us direction and helps us align our thoughts and feelings with our goals. Lastly, we must be mindful of our thoughts about money. Instead of focusing on lack, we should immerse ourselves in feelings of abundance and enjoyment. It's also important to remember to treat ourselves with the same care and attention we give to our loved ones. Ask yourself if you are taking care of your needs with as much concern as you do for others. Reflect on how you talk to and encourage yourself—are you as kind and supportive to yourself as you are to those you cherish? By doing so, you might find that not only do you feel better, but you also start seeing positive changes in your life. So, let's shift our focus to what lights us up and brings us joy, and watch how effortlessly abundance flows into our lives. Thank you for joining me today, and I hope these insights help you on your journey to a more abundant and joyful life. Contact: michel@moneylighthouse.com
Inspired by listener email, we talk about what to do with all the “stuff” we acquire through our lives. Welcome to step 4 in our Making a Mental Paradise Series! Today, we are evoking the power of touchstones as a powerful way to maintain, strengthen, and continuously return to the paradise you are creating within yourself.
hi friend!thank you so much for being here today. please know that throughout today's episode we talk about grief & addiction.last night i was deleting pictures from my google photos account when i found text messages between tim & i. the texts threw me right back to the pain, the struggles, the anxiety & the struggles that we - as a couple - were experiencing. suddenly i had this thought "did i do the right thing? did i make the right decisions?"in that moment i had to force myself to put the phone down & remind myself that at the time - back in 2019/2020 - i was making decisions based on the information that i had right then & what i felt was best for both of us -- regardless of what anyone else thought.throughout the episode we discuss this part of the grief journey & the need to have touchstones - aka receipts - to help bring us back to the reality of the situation.what was actually going on at the time?what decisions were necessary for my own mental health?did i do the best that i could?grief brings up so many questions - especially when that grief is tied to addiction - & sometimes you need that reality check.i know that this is a heavy topic, so if at any point you feel overwhelmed, please stop the episode & contact your healthcare provider, or find a therapist at betterhelp, to help support you through this time.as always, thank you for being here & for allowing me to share my experiences & takeaways with you.i'm always here for you. xoxo
[TRANSCRIPT] [click, static] I remembered that Don had family in Massachusetts. His uncle and cousins ran a deli in a town called Winchester—the way that man would talk about the sandwiches they'd make…god, what I wouldn't do for one of them right now. Anyway, I figured it couldn't hurt to check the place out. He wasn't at the deli—I didn't expect him to be, that would've been quite the fucking coincidence, but I did find exactly what I was hoping for. An address on an old bill. Presumably, his uncle's home address. It's a few towns over, so I'm headed there now. [click, static] This area is nice. I haven't spent all that time in Massachusetts, at least outside of Boston and Provincetown. But it's warm and sunny and there's a little humidity creeping into the air and (deep breath), I don't know, it's nice. Despite everything, I'm feeling…hopeful. It reminds me a little of where I grew up. There are more houses and the houses are closer together—I'm sure there are parts of Massachusetts that are rural, but I am squarely in the suburbs. I don't know, maybe it's just that spring has finally arrived and the changing of the seasons always makes me think of home. [click, static] Huh. I haven't thought about my childhood home as home in a long time. Home has been nebulous, ever-changing in my mind. But I guess if I've ever had a touchstone, it's the house I grew up in and…New York City. Touchstones of a different kind. But places that my mind always leaps to if I'm confronted with something that reminds me in the slightest of them. I don't think you can ever really run away from home. That's more or less what I did, but it lingers, always. You can never undo the way that you've been shaped. You can pour new concrete over the broken sidewalk, but the footprints left on the previous layers will always be there, waiting to be revealed when the fresh new coat eventually erodes. [click, static] (a small laugh) I can hear Harry's voice in my head correcting my metaphor. Making it about paint—where you grow up is the charcoal sketch and no matter how much you paint over a canvas, the layers and textures are always there. But I don't know painting. Not that I know concrete but… That's one of those things I always figured would be the deciding factor in whether or not Harry—I mean, she's sophisticated, you know? I don't know if she can hear this up in Maine—I'm sure she can, but maybe she doesn't have the radio turned on. She'd probably be happy to hear it anyway. That I think of her as sophisticated. But she is. Her secret love for Hank Williams and all. She appreciates fine things, delicate things, beautiful things. And I'm not any of that. I've always been rough and blunt—the finest thing I do is picking a lock or breaking a safe and even then, sometimes brute force is the best way forward. Harry is a painting, and I'm a block of concrete. [click, static] God, I hope Don isn't listening to this. He'd never let me live it down. [click, static]

A Tall Order! Rochdale Art Gallery in the 1980s is the name of the show currently on at Touchstones Rochdale, which reflects on the gallery's radical history supporting those who were, at the time, overlooked by the mainstream of the art world, some of whom have gone on to prestigious careers. Co-curators Derek Horton and Alice Correia join Front Row to discuss the show. We begin our interviews with the writers shortlisted for the Baillie Gifford Prize's Winner of Winners Award. The award picks an overall favourite from across the prize's 25 year history. James Shapiro will be discussing 1599: A Year in the Life of William Shakespeare, his portrait of the most impactful year of Shakespeare's life during which he wrote Henry V, Julius Caesar, As You Like It and, most remarkably, Hamlet. And we talk to arts minister Lord Parkinson on the new £60 million Cultural Investment Fund. Presenter: Nick Ahad Producer: Ekene Akalawu Main Image: Touchstones Rochdale - Gallery 2
