The World of Eora is a news & lore podcast about the fantasy setting created by Obsidian Entertainment for their cRPG series, Pillars of Eternity, and their action RPG: Avowed.This week's episode dives back into some foundational PILLARS OF ETERNITY lore, but still includes Avowed stuff as well (they're all in the same world, after all). Focusing on Wizards today. Mostly we discuss how it is that wizards cast spells, but we also discuss a famous magic academy: Bragganhyl Academy, which has multiple mentions in Avowed item descriptions. Avowed is the awesome new RPG from Fallout: New Vegas and Pillars of Eternity devs, and it's so good it has us asking: What's the deal with Bethesda Game Studios? 

Tento díl Retro not bude tak trochu výjimečný. Justin Bell (někdy uváděný jako Justin E. Bell) za sebou nemá totiž nijak zvlášť dlouhou kariéru herního skladatele.Spíš naopak, věnoval se zvuku, pak se zhruba na dekádu chopil skladatelské taktovky... a zase se vrátil k práci se zvukem.Ale co všechno za těch deset let stihl! As AVOWED continues to undergo development at Obsidian Entertainment I wondered "what will the character creation choices be" and then I thought after that: "hey, that's a good episode idea", so here we are. In most fantasy games you'll have an in-depth character creation menu, and Pillars of Eternity is no different. This game changes the scenery to a series of archipelagos where you and your team follow an exciting and deep story from island to island. We also play the official release of The Forest with the help of one of our listeners Scott. He joins us to talk about why The Forest is a survival game you need to play.
